Great cocktail bar with many different options and fun drinks! Great ambiance and good music. The servers were friendly and attentive and it wasn't busy mid day on a Saturday. Definitely a great spot before or after events in Miami.

Very cool bar! I enjoyed a visit here when I was in the area. We came in, sat down, and were greeted by a very friendly gentleman who provided menus and waters. Drinks here are delicious and service was excellent. The tipsy flamingo was one of a few cocktails on happy hour special and it was tasty with a nice mix of sweetness and strongness (similar to me on an average Friday night). Other cocktails were also enjoyable. This place has a chill vibe with lots of neon lights. It was pretty dark inside and most of the light comies from the glow of the pink neon/argon glass tubes. When I visited, there were a bunch of guys sitting outside the smoke shop next door. Be aware of this if you are prone to getting harassed by random dudes. Not a problem for me because I'm used to dealing with dangerous Hawaii Kai gang members when visiting rough Kakaako pubs. Bwahahaha! There were a couple of sketchy people in the area that approached us with panhandling requests as we left the neighborhood heading back to our hotel in Downtown. Overall, very nice bar to visit if you are in the area!

This bar was a great find in downtown Miami. We went after a heat game for a night cap and we were not disappointed. The decor is fabulous and the service was impeccable!

Our bartender Ivan made everything worth it, he is extremely kind and attentive.. don't let me start on how fantastic his drink are. Would recommend anyone I know or you reading this to come and try Ivan's drinks!

This was our first time at Tipsy Flamingo and overall our experience was okay. We came in on a Sunday during happy hour to a relatively empty bar and ordered two drinks: one off the regular menu (Beach Bonfire) and one off a special Sunday menu (Saoco Sundays/Fino y Elegante). The bar is nice and has fun decorations and lighting but the drinks were unfortunately lackluster. Both drinks tasted like fruit juice and we even doubted whether there was any alcohol in either of our drinks. We didn't order anything else because the drinks were disappointing but we won't write this bar off until we try it again.

A vibe. Drinks are good, dj is good.. not a dance bar but totally worth the trip. Service was good and theres lots of space for a group

Tipsy Flamingo is hands down one of thee best cocktail spots in Miami. The vibe is fun, colorful, and full of energy exactly what you want in a night out. The bartenders here are true artists every drink is crafted with precision, creativity, and just the right amount of flair. The cocktails are unbelievable. They're not just drinks, they're experiences balanced, bold, and packed with flavor. You can taste the quality of the ingredients, and every sip makes you want to try the next one on the menu. Whether you go for something tropical, something smoky, or one of their creative house specials, you can't go wrong. On top of that, the atmosphere ties it all together. Great music, amazing service, and a playful yet elevated setting that keeps you in a good mood from the moment you walk in.

This place is the cutest inside with flamingo wall paper! I flew into town and this place popped right up so we gave it a shot and for it being a hole in the wall place, We had SUCH a good time! Christina was our bartender and she was amazingly friendly!

I must confess, I'm the hugest sucker for a nice hand crafted cocktail. And Tipsy Flamingo delivered just that! Me and my friend came for the RnB night. At first we were a little skeptical about if they were playing RnB or a Miami mix version of RnB but as the night progressed they did start playing all the RnB hits (woohoo). Now, heads up this is a cocktail bar that exclusively serves cocktails. I did hear that they allow you to bring outside food though (didn't get to verify with staff to make sure). They also had a pretty nice happy hour deal going. Our server/bartender was super efficient and suggestive (loved her). We had the Tipsy Flamingo (pictured) to start things off and I mean this when I say that was the best decision and easily makes top five best cocktails I've ever had wow. Hand crafted to perfectionnnn. I actually left a little sad because I didn't get to try every drink I intended to on the menu. It's also super cute on the inside! Definitely has a lowkey tropical theme. I will 100% be returning and would 100% recommend it to my cocktail enthusiasts!

The place is the absolute cutest. We chose the worst day to go because we were running away from the rain but I am glad we did! The signature drink Tipsy Flamingo was amazing! You cannot taste the alcohol. The other drinks overall, were sweet and can be a bit overwhelming but the bar tender was great about it and remade the drink for me less sweeter. Great customer service. The bartenders were great and played bachata when we asked. They had really good music. Old classics and new ones, lots and lots of salsa.

Came to this bar for a mixer and had been wanting to come here for a while, it's in a lively spot downtown near the Jewelry district, and parking can be a bit difficult unless you want to pay lots for a garage. Eventually we found a street spot and just had to walk a few blocks to get to the bar. When you come in, it's one room, they have a nice decorated wall with a big neon sign and good music playing, a little too loud to be great for meeting new people but It was what I expected from a bar though. The bathrooms are all gender, and being that there are only two individual bathrooms the line can get a bit long. Still, I had a nice time, all I drank, was a high noon seltzer, so I can't speak to the quality of the cocktails, but we didn't have to wait long to get our drink despite there being a full bar. Thank you!

Ask the Community - Tipsy Flamingo

What were the average price of drinks?

Hey! It depends on what you’re drinking. Speciality cocktails can range between $15-$19. Also depends on the spirit you’re ordering. But we do have happy hour between 5pm and 9pm, and late night happy hour Thursdays - Saturday from 1am to close.…

At what age can one visit this establishment?

    21, they check for ID

Wondering if I should reserve a table, I'm coming in march?

It's a very small spot so you definitely should. Always reserve in Miami.

Hey what is the age requirement to attend?

Hi. Hope you're well. It's strictly 21 and over at Tipsy Flamingo.

Do you guys have a food menu?

Unfortunately, we don't sell food, but our cocktails will get you through it. Lol. You are more than welcome to bring food or order food through a food delivery app.

Are there any upcoming events or live performances scheduled at the bar?

Hi there! We have a weekly line up of DJs, but no live music.

    Hi do you have hookah?

Hello. We do have hookah. They're electric. Like a vape. So the scent is nice, and there is no need for new coals or refills.

    Is it 21+ only?

Hi. Yes. We are strictly 21 and over.

Is there a cover charge on Fridays or Saturdays?

Hi! There’s never a cover charge at our venue.

Is this bar meant for drinking/hanging out or is it also a place to go dancing?

All of the above! People come here to drink, hang out, and dance.

I think they fit Miami well, and are slight twists in classic drink options. Our bartender was awesome. She was super knowledgeable and helpful in making recommendations as we decided what to order, and you can tell she really put effort into making sure the drinks were good. The drinks were really good! My only complaint is the price. Of course handcrafted cocktails are expensive, especially in Miami, but wow. The drinks were really small, and had so much ice that they ended up being not very many sips at all. They were definitely good, but the very small size for almost $20 a drink was kind of outrageous.

The bar was lit, poppin' and vibrant. We were waiting by the end of the counter where they checked out other patrons near the sitting area. We were overlooked many times... I locked eyes with one of the bartender and she completely looked away from me.. several times :( took about 15 minutes and we reached our arms out and flagged bartender Reilly. Her greeting and attention was genuine so I was happy to get her. Unfortunately, she got busy and we got the initial lady that ignored us. She was not kind, not attentive and didn't really want to help us - she was very fake. With that being said, we had to remind her of our drinks after 20 minutes of placing the order, in which she responded with an attitude "it's being made. We're busy" -_- -_- :( the attitude was not needed. We watched others that came in before us being served. :( I was completely annoyed and upset. She didn't even bring the drinks to us like the other bartenders were doing, she made us get it. Poor service from this one bartender while the others were happy and servicing their patrons. After our first drinks, I noticed she spoke to her colleague and he came over and asked if we wanted to close out.. . Wtf kicking us out? We said no and he opened a tab. When she noticed we were ordering more, she was a bit more attentive. So wrong. Luckily, the drinks were delicious. Perfect. We did end up coming back to the Lasseter and got a gentleman bartender that was so kind and attentive and made our drinks even better! The attention to detail and love he made in my drinks, so that is why I decided to make make this a 3 stars rather than two. He saved this place. The toilet sitting area is very warm, not very air conditioned properly so expect to be a little warm especially after a couple of sips. It's also the walkway to an actual big restrooms for the whole building. The drinks are VERY pricy but the setting is perfect and makes up for it. Unfortunately, the service was not up to par. Disney priced drinks without the Disney customer service. Do I want to come back? Yes. Am I going to be picky with the vibes coming from the bartender and chose who to go to? Also yes. Hopefully, I can increase the rating.

Anywayssss, when I caught the winds that there was a new sound bar in downtown, I NEEDED to be there. The concept of the sound bar is some type of Asian thing, I don't really know. But where in Asia there might be a few monks sitting around in silence listening to gongs or whatever, Miami goes BIG! Finding parking in downtown Miami on a Saturday is virtually impossible unless you bribe a valet servant with cash. So that's what I did. My ladyfriend and I arrived early to the sound bar, and there was already a hearty swarm of brodents and thots lined up to get in. Some crack head outside was shouting about IPA's. I told the door servant that I knew the DJ or something like that, and he let us right in. Once inside, the bar has that edgy big city, small hallway type of vibe. You could barely stand around in there, let alone get to the bar to order a drink. The mix of flapping gums and mixologists concocting cocktails made for a cacophonous distraction from the actual "music" we were there to "listen" to. My ladyfriend and I ducked out across the street to Black Market Miami Bar where the game was on and you could actually order a drink that didn't cost $50+. After a few libations, we headed back to Miami Sound Machine Bar (they need to put 'Miami' in every bar's name down here in case you forget where you are). There was a weird looking guy playing depressing vinyls with singing in different languages. I was more in the mood for something upbeat and groovy like salsa or merengue that I could dance to with my girls. Although I did hear the 12" Andrew Weatherall remix of Happy Mondays "Hallelujah" at some point, a staple at the Haçienda nightclub in Manchester - an institution that shook the music world and changed club culture forever. The head servant at the bar looked like Nirvana (yes, one man looking like a whole band). He was jaded and rude. I don't blame him! As the night wore on, the crowd got larger and more deplorable, and the room got smaller and smaller. I got stuck in an awkward conversation waiting to use the bathroom. I don't think sound bars are for me. Pros: The bar across the street had really fair drink prices, and the servants are polite and efficient. Cons: the ratchet yuppies that inhabit Miami's nightlife, always on the prowl to ruin a subculture with their tackiness.

Instead, I stumbled upon Koana Tiki Bar--a hidden little chamber of tropical enchantment tucked away from the ordinary world. As Miami's only tiki bar, Koana is surprisingly well themed. It is a smaller establishment, which explains why reservations are required, but the intimate setting only adds to the charm. Once inside, the outside world seems to disappear beneath warm lighting, exotic décor, and the unmistakable feeling that something mysterious is being prepared behind the bar. The food is available, but Koana truly shines through its drink menu. The team has clearly done its research and assembled some serious heavy hitters. My companions and I visit whenever we're in Miami, and we've sampled nearly every drink on the menu. I have yet to encounter a bad one. They are fairly priced for Miami, though their strength should not be underestimated. These are not casual refreshments--they are potent little potions disguised as tropical cocktails. The staff is always kind, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable. They're happy to explain the drinks and guide you toward something that suits your taste, whether you seek something sweet, sour, smoky, fruity, or powerful enough to summon your ancestors. During my visit, I combined several ingredients from the menu into a highly experimental concoction. After one sip, my allergies vanished completely. After the second, I could smell colors. By the third, I was convinced the palm trees were speaking to me in ancient tongues. I have no idea what was in that drink, but my sinuses were clear, my spirit was elevated, and I briefly achieved enlightenment beneath a decorative tiki mask. Reservations are essential, the drinks are strong, and the bar is small--but Koana is absolutely worth seeking out. Just be certain you're prepared for whatever spirits may answer when you raise your glass.
