The outdoor space is paved with cobblestones, lit with hanging cafe lights. The dining room has an 80's Miami vibe -- antique mirrors with palm tree edges, magic hour light beaming through the windows, playlist on POINT. Ambiance is the best, truly. Now down to the food. It as my first time dining at Sunny's and it was everything I had hoped for. The bar area was bustling of happy hour and I got there a bit early so I decided to order a wine while waiting for my friend. The bartender was super friendly and engaging. When my friend showed up we were seated on the upper patio. We started out with the octopus ceviche which was tangy and delicious, then we ordered the Parker house rolls, the crab Agnolotti pasta and the Chitarra mushroom pasta. The Crab pasta was to die for and I would definitely come back just for that, but the mushroom pasta was lacking in flavor and salt. Long time coming to visit this Miami legend. The expectations were high and the place didn't disappoint. I generally don't like to sit outside but their courtyard has a really nice vibe especially during sunset and at night. We ordered quite a few different food items to try, and some of them were great, some were okay. Food I liked: flat iron steak, cacio e pepe, beef carpaccio, ice cream sandwich Food that I wouldn't order again: octopus, very sour. I had the best time at Sunny's with a group of girlfriends for a bachelorette for dinner. Our waitress Sam made sure we were taken care of and was very helpful & attentive. Originally we had to make 2 reservations because we were a bigger group but they made it work and were able to get our whole party seated together in a booth, which we were very happy about. The overall vibe of Sunny's is great. Every spot in the place is aesthetic , notably the coastal decor, the warm low lighting, the silver serve ware. Even the playlist was great. The elusive Sunny's. Finally snagged a reservation (same day) and we made it. I was so excited to try them for the first time. My dining bud and fellow yelper had been here before so she was commenting on the must haves. Our waiter was so much fun. I FINALLY got to try this place. I am always so fearful of the hyped places in Miami. As a native I never know if this is a tourist trap or if its a legit good restaurant. We were greeted by the host in the front. They were not as friendly as the back staff however I do understand them being straightforward and can appreciate it. I am sure many people cause a fuss trying to get a reservation at this place. They had space in their courtyard area to sit which has its own menu and is next to the bar. I personally would come here with a group of friends and just chill. Get some amazing cocktails and catch the vibe. Our first bartender/server was Ashley (i think). She was great. Super sweet and helped us out with the outdoor menu. Then we met Keshion. This guy... Just clone him and this whole restaurant would be so much fun. He was sweet he was caring and he was on top of his work. We asked him for space at the bar and prayed that the lord would make space for me and my friend. We got SO lucky. We weren't sitting, no one was waiting and someone cancelled their reservations. We took their table of two. It was meant to be. We were seated and Sergio and Cassie took care of us the rest of the night. Sergio was so attentive and most importantly honest. He told us what was good and what was ok. His recommendations on the pork chop. Probably the best pork chop I have EVER had. Pasta was good as were the oysters. My steak was ok... but I would get the pork chop next time for myself. Wow, and the experience sure shows why: every single person working there (managers, servers, bussers, hosts) is gracious and friendly and pitching in wherever needed to ensure that clients have a great experience. The room and decor are lovely; the patio is lovely; the bar is lovely. The pacing of food and drink is lovely. Frankly, all that is just glorious. Drinks are fantastic. Sides were quite good. Steaks - well, we had a couple of the "prime"-level ones, and they were quite good (next visit, I'm planning to go a little deeper into the menu; I was a bit nervous this trip, given that it was our first experience with Sunny's). Some wires were crossed and the doneness level of my hanger and my wife's filet were reversed. Decided to come here as a valentine dinner.The food was delicious! Caesar salad has a fancy elevated taste to it. The Meat was tender and almost melts in your mouth. And the fries were perfectly crispy with a nice crunch on every bite. The only dish that didn't sell me was the grouper. It tasted good, but the dish overall was underwhelming. The location is elegant, and the lights are very dim, giving a romantic feel. Although, it was so dim, I could barely read the menu. The service was good, but a bit slow on our table. Additionally, the way the staff is clearly trained in not just knowing the proper mannerism but also the menu. There's a good reason they're on the Michelin guide and service is a key factor. It's as if they were graced by the nectars of another world. Everything and I mean everything, drinks, appetizers, entrees, sides, desserts. There wasn't anything that left you with any form of disappointment. My recommendations would be as follows... For apps, the bread is a must. Super soft, super fluffy, and to top it with a honey butter is just amazing. Two more things we gotta talk about. The Hokkaido scallops and the beef carpaccio. Now before you judge thinking Wah Wah it's raw sides, give it a try and thank me later. Regarding entrees... at the table we had the hanger steaks all around with the exceptions of lamb, the ribeye, and grouper. Let me tell you something. Truly worth the hype. My husband and I came here for our fifth anniversary and loved literally every bite. We started with some stone crab, the steak tartare, and the scallop crudo - each were fantastic, but the steak tartare was a true standout. The duck-fat potatoes and creamed spinach were the perfect supporting cast--rich, indulgent, and exactly what steak deserves to be served alongside. Then came dessert. We waited about 45 min at the terrace bar, followed by another 40 min at the indoor bar before securing bar seats. The wedge salad was excellent. As a Harrisburg native, I'm very fond of chocolate since the Hershey Chocolate Factory is only 15 minutes away from my hometown. Today, I got a chance to travel to Miami Beach to Sunny's Steakhouse. Now, if you've ever heard of this place, it started as a pop-up, and now everybody comes here. On the outside, it just looks like a warehouse. You probably wouldn't even know it was there, but as soon as you walk through the door, the atmosphere makes you feel right at home--maybe a little slice of Cuba or just a tropical vibe. The dim lighting made it feel elegant with the open roof overhead. The atmosphere was amazing. As I walked to the table, you could see people all engaged in entertainment and enjoying one another's company; no one was on their phone, which was amazing. That's how you know that the atmosphere was great! Customers weren't on their phones, so the food had to be good. I was seated at a table with other people; however, I walked around and looked at the bar. I was blown away by how everything was strategically placed in its perfect spot. The entire restaurant was a total vibe. I guarantee you would love it. Not only was the atmosphere great, but the staff was amazing. They made you feel at home. They paid attention to detail; as soon as my plate was finished, I was greeted with another plate of something to try. As soon as my glass was finished, it was replaced with another drink. This means that the staff really pays attention to detail! Now for the fun part: the food. The food was very good, and the fish was beyond amazing. I must say, I've never had a fish that was so good. I happened to ask one of the waiters what the ingredients were. He said they used a jerk flavoring that did not have the spice and a Cuban herb. Now, jerk is from another country and so was the other sauce, but the chef blended both of those sauces from two different countries into one, and it made all of my taste buds burst with flavor. Now for the asparagus--it was very good. Personally, I think I make better asparagus, but we're not talking about me! We're talking about Sunny's, and well, I must say the asparagus was okay. The steak... this is what everyone comes for. The steak was good and cooked to perfection. The juices ran from the plate, but it was not overcooked or undercooked. The char on the outside was amazing. It was like a nice dark bark with a nice sprinkling of salt on the top, but it wasn't too much. When I ate the steak it was tender, but personally, I think the steak would be better if it was even more tender. I feel as though the meat should have been tenderized a little bit more, but that's just my personal opinion. Now for the best part: the dessert. The dessert was an ice cream sherbet, which was delicious. I must say it was great. It was scooped perfectly as it sat in the bowl--Three scoops, that's all you needed. It was rich and creamy, cold but not too cold--just the perfect temperature for a warm Miami night. There was also a vanilla ice cream with cake. The vanilla ice cream had a coffee truffle, and it was delicious. The triple-layer chocolate cake was just how it should've been. The icing was a perfect temperature. It wasn't too warm like a birthday cake at a summer cookout; it was beyond great. The food was amazing. The seared fish was mind-blowing. Oh, I forgot! The fries--they were good as well. But my favorite part was the kitchen; the hustle and bustle with everyone working together to get that food out to the customer was great. The back-of-the-house was amazing! I came to Sunny's for the first time with my cousins for my birthday, and it's such a delicious restaurant and it's always a plus when there is free parking at any Miami establishment! They have street parking but also have a free lot next to the restaurant. We walked in and the hosts took our name/confirmed our reservation. There was a short wait but we were able to sit at the front waiting area. They also have a section with tables and a bar you can wait at. The restaurant is really nice. It has a beautiful outdoor area that is decently lit but still has an intimate feel. They also have an indoor dining area, but I did not get to see it as we chose to sit outdoors. The staff were very attentive and they cleared our plates and refilled our drinks quickly every time they were low/done. I enjoyed every single bite I had and cannot wait to come back! The steaks were cooked to perfection and the sauces complimented them so well, the fries were addicting and the spinach was creamy. The desserts and drinks were also the perfect addition to the meal. We decided to see what all the hype was about and came here for our Valentine's dinner. As expected, the restaurant was packed. We had made our reservations a month in advance, so we were really excited to finally try it. Parking was a bit hectic since the lots were full, and we had to park farther away and walk. Once we arrived, we checked in and didn't have to wait long for our table. The weather that night was a nice so and the outdoor seating area was beautiful. The dim lighting gave it a romantic ambiance that was perfect for the occasion. The music was playing a bit loudly, but since we were seated outside, it wasn't too bothersome. We started with the Caesar salad and the house rolls. The salad was excellent, with just the right amount of dressing. The rolls were warm and fluffy, and paired with the honey butter, they were absolutely delicious. For our entrées, we ordered the grouper and the 10oz prime hanger steak with fries on the side. The steak was perfectly salted, tender, and full of flavor. The grouper was good as well, though I felt the vegetables slightly overpowered the dish, taking some of the spotlight away from the fish. For dessert, I had the ice cream sandwich, and it was incredible. The kouign-amann pastry was flaky, crunchy, and sweet, and combined with the vanilla ice cream, it was the perfect ending to the meal. I'm here to say that, yes, Sunny's is worth the hype. You walk into what seems like an exclusive outdoor club. Drinks flowing, laughter, chattering, it's a great vibe lightly domed by string lights. Waited a bit to get seated, but we were shocked to see it so packed at 10 PM on a Tuesday. The waitress was really friendly and recommended great options! We started with the Caesar salad and Parker House rolls. The honey and butter mix was perfection. The salad was evenly dressed leaving no lettuce untouched. The cavatelli was very good!! A bit dry but might be because of the duck. The flat iron steak was incredible I could've had 2 more servings!!! The creamed spinach was delicious and not as thick as I have had at other steakhouses. The martinis were incredible and worth the extra bucks for bleu cheese olives and Belvedere. We were pleasantly surprised at how affordable the meal was. I've been meaning to visit Sunny's for a while now and finally visited on a Saturday night. The restaurant is truly beautiful inside and outside. The decor is lovely, the art, the indoor bar, and all the special touches. We arrived a bit early so we ordered a round of drinks in the outside bar. We were sat about 10 minutes later. It was quite busy inside and outside given it was a Saturday. Our server was kind but unfortunately rarely saw her. There was someone that checked on us in the meantime so that was helpful in case we needed something but definitely the service was lacking. We started with the Caesar salad and Parker rolls. Salad was okay, pretty drenched in dressing and nothing to write home about. The Parker rolls were fresh and tasty - really enjoyed the butter it came with. I had a margarita outside and ordered sparkling wine inside. For entrees, we went with the agnolotti, dorade fish, and a side of asparagus and mashed potatoes. The agnolotti was delicious and fresh. Tender, juicy and so much flavor. The crab and corn were a great pairing. The dorade was okay, the server recommended the fish for the crispy skin. The chimichurri-esq sauce was a nice touch but was a bit underwhelmed and it was quite small. The asparagus were cold but didn't want to send them back as we had already waited a bit for the food. The mashed potatoes were definitely a hit though. Great flavor and consistency. The music was fun and varied and the vibe was definitely fun. It's definitely pricey restaurant but it's overall an experience. I would return and try other items on the menu! This restaurant is a great addition to Miami and transports you elsewhere. read more

Sunny's Steakhouse in Miami was a true 10/10. From the moment we walked in, the door team set the tone with genuine hospitality that carried through the night. The dining room was lively, polished, & comfortable, with white tablecloths and warm lighting that made the space feel elevated without trying too hard. We were celebrating our best friend's 25th birthday & left a note on the reservation. Sunny's picked up on it immediately and greeted us with champagne, which was such a thoughtful touch and made the night feel special from the start. The food was absolutely phenomenal. To start The Parker Rolls came out warm and buttery, the kind of thing you can't stop reaching for. The crab pasta was a great starter, full of flavor without being heavy. The steaks were cooked perfectly and had that deep, rich flavor you expect from a serious steakhouse. For dessert, the banana toffee was the highlight and wrapped up the meal perfectly. Sunny's nailed every part of the experience. Great ambiance, attentive service, incredible food, and thoughtful touches that made the night memorable. Came here to celebrate my mom's birthday, and the server gave us a key lime pie with a little candle on the house, which was very nice! Food and service were great overall. I would recommend the hiramasa crudo as an appetizer. And if you can, get a reservation inside, that was one thing I felt like we missed out on. read more

Got a reservation on a Monday night to celebrate my birthday! What an outstanding meal and service overall. Make sure you book this place ahead of time as reservations are difficult to come by! We were able to score a table that was seated half indoors and half outdoors by the open windows, which was a perfect scenery. We started with some great cocktails- an old-fashioned and guava cocktail which were delicious. We started with some tuna tartar which has sunchoke chips on top and the gem salad both refreshing. The main entrées we ordered the AGNOLOTTI the blue crab and corn pasta, which is a must! We ordered the 8 ounce prime fillet mignon cooked medium it was outstanding. Sunny's Steakhouse absolutely lives up to the hype. We got the bread rolls (dangerously good, I could've made a meal out of just those), the crab pasta, Cesar's salad, a steak, and lamb chops... and every single dish was perfection. The crab pasta honestly stole the show and I don't even love pasta. So rich, so flavorful, so worth every bite. Collins took amazing care of us- flawless service, great energy, and somehow always appeared right when we needed him. The ambience was spot-on too: lively but still intimate.
