Amazonico! What an absolute gorgeous restaurant located in Brickell. Literally every level was an experience. The first floor was the bar and indoor/outdoor dining area. Although it was beautifully decorated, we only took photos on this level and chose to sit upstairs because it's open air and it was a rainy and humid night in Miami. I was celebrating my birthday with a few friends and the lounge on the second level was perfect. Loved the vibe for dinner on this floor and there was live music which was fun, lovely and entertaining . It was a very busy Saturday so they gave us a 2 hour table limit even with reservations. The service was great and food was delicious. Our server made some great recommendations. The drinks were good and fancy but the speciality cocktails were full of ice. For starters, we had the Rollito Samosa chicken rolls and Camarones Melosos. We also had the Arroz Chaufa, Merluza Negra, Ojo de Bife and Pargo Salvaje snapper. My favorites were the shrimp, duck fried rice and steak. After dinner, we went upstairs to the outside rooftop bar and once Selva (club) opened, we had a few cocktails in there. This is one of the most beautiful restaurants in Brickell. The decor is absolutely stunning, and you can tell every detail has been carefully curated, from the plates to the cocktail glasses. The atmosphere alone makes it worth visiting. The service was fantastic. Everyone we interacted with was incredibly kind and accommodating. Definitely make a reservation ahead of time because they fill up quickly, we booked ours over a week in advance. We also loved the second-floor lounge, where we caught the Argentina vs. Switzerland FIFA match, and later checked out La Selva upstairs, which was a fun way to end the night. The cocktails were excellent! The Peacock Spritz was my favorite, and the espresso martini was also delicious. The food was flavorful as well, especially the beef dish we ordered, it was incredibly tender. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the value. I understand it's Brickell, so I expected premium prices, but I don't think the food portions justify them. The guacamole, for example, was delicious but came in a tiny bowl with only a few plantain chips for $26. Most of the dishes we tried were very good, but not exceptional enough to justify the price, especially considering the portion sizes. Knocking even $5-10 off some of the dishes would make the experience feel much more reasonable. Exceptional customer service before we even stepped foot inside! I wanted to write this review because my experience with Amazonico started long before we arrived, and their customer service genuinely impressed me. Making a reservation was very easy, but I do recommend reading the credit card policy carefully. I initially missed the fine print and didn't realize that cancellations within the required timeframe are $50 per person, not per reservation. For our party of three, that meant I was expecting to lose $150. Unfortunately, our incoming flight was canceled, and because the restaurant doesn't open until 6 p.m., I couldn't reach anyone before the cancellation window closed. I emailed the reservation contact anyway, hoping for the best. To my surprise, within about three hours a very kind representative personally called me back and modified our reservation. She absolutely didn't have to do that, and I had already accepted that I'd probably be out the $150. That level of customer service made a lasting impression before we ever walked through the doors. She also took the time to clarify the family policies, which I found a little confusing on the website. The restaurant and lounge are separate spaces. Guests under 21 are welcome in the restaurant but not in the lounge. Children under 10 are asked to dine before 7 p.m., while children over 10 are welcome in the restaurant at any time. That clarification was incredibly helpful for planning our evening. As for the food, I'll keep it brief since plenty of other reviews cover it in detail. The tableside guacamole was excellent--don't skip the finishing salt, because it really brings all the flavors together. The Brazilian cheese bread was so good that we ordered a second basket. I had the Chilean sea bass, which was very good, and paired it with the carrots and broccolini. Since most entrées are à la carte, I'd definitely recommend ordering sides if you have a healthy appetite. The vegetables were a generous portion and were delicious. My child ordered sushi, which was good as well. One thing to know before you go is that the menu can take a little deciphering if you're unfamiliar with some of the ingredients or dishes, and younger diners may have a harder time deciding what to order. The atmosphere is beautiful and energetic, but on the lower level it is very loud. If you're going for the ambiance, live music, and lively vibe, you'll probably love it. If you're hoping for an intimate dinner or meaningful conversation, just know you'll likely be talking over the music most of the evening. For three people, including appetizers, entrées, sides, and drinks, our bill came to just under $300. Keep in mind that a 20% service charge is automatically added and goes to the servers and waitstaff, so factor that into your budget. Overall, while the food and atmosphere were enjoyable, the standout part of our experience was the outstanding customer service. I was here shortly after it opened for a private event which was phenomenal. Food and service were excellent. We had cocktails and appetizers on the rooftop and then we were seated inside for dinner. I decided to bring my friend back this past weekend and definitely a different experience. Our server was efficient but not the most helpful. We asked if the tonic could be swapped out for soda and he said that none of the cocktails could be altered. I asked if they were batched and he said no - they just won't make changes. Super odd. The ensalada Amazonica was delicious. My friend ordered the guacamole as she saw it go by but didn't realize it had sea urchin. The sea urchin was putrid and acrid - definitely NOT Japanese sea urchin. We had to send it back - it was putrid. The best part of the meal was the wild snapper and rosemary potatoes. Unfortunately our server did not know how to filet the fish properly so we had a lot of bones. I gave 3 stars for the live music, ambience and my previous experience. This visit killed any positive experience for me. Won't be coming back. I live on the beach and wasn't worth the drive. Good for cocktails if you are staying nearby. read more

Absolutely beautiful restaurant. The design is tropical, there's indoor and outdoor seating, and even a rooftop bar. We visited for the first time for an anniversary dinner part for some friends. The food was very good. It was family style in a sense where everything was shared and you had small bites of a variety of dishes. The servers looked a little stressed and unorganized. They were very nice but we're running around. The team did not seem well coordinated. The seating was also very tight. They gave us nice menus to explain the courses but then did not bring out all of the food listed on the tasting menus...which were personalized to our party. After our dinner they made us move to some high bar stools. It was very tight. There qas a dj playing super loud music on the 2nd floor and the place gets packed. The music was good, but its an odd vibe for a restaurant. Definitely a bit over hyped and people come here for the ambiance and "Miami Experience". I really wanted to love this place but I guess I fell for the hype of this place but it wasn't even the slightest what I thought it was . This is an upscale rainforest cafe I was not even blown away by the decor .. very let down . The food was just not good . The service was good but of course the server just recommended the most expensive thing on the menu and it would be ok if it was actually good but the fish was dry . The arroz chaufa was not warm and the portion was tiny ! The yuca was hard cold just not pleasant at all, they did end up taking it off the bill although we didn't ask but we were disappointed to say the very least. Came here again as I had a friend visiting from out of town that wanted to check this place out. We had reservations for 6pm on Super Bowl Sunday. When we arrived, the place was completely empty and they were finishing up their service meeting with all the staff before the dinner shift started. If you want to come when the restaurant is popping, definitely come after 7:30pm. The restaurant did fill up rather quickly after 6 though, but the live music doesn't start till 7, and they started a little after 7. Also, don't be afraid of the noise level of the live music, they keep it turned down to a decent level so you can still talk normally. I've sat near the stage both times I've been here and never had an issue with noise. I can never say enough how beautiful this place is. I love the decor. They even give you complimentary blankets to use if you're cold. Also, they are able to charge any of your devices, and will give you a ticket to check it with the host. Our camera died and I asked them if they could charge it for me and they told me they have a giant charging block under the host stand to charge everyone's devices because they get asked that so much. I really liked this touch. They will also check your coat for you if you don't want to hold it at your table. Service was amazing as usual from the hosts to the servers to the runners, etc. For girls wondering if you're allowed to take pictures with flash/light, I personally have never had a problem, so go for it! I would be courteous to the people sitting around you, but so long as you're quick and respectful and not just blasting light in peoples faces for 20 minutes they won't say anything. Girls are all on the stairs taking photos the entire night also and they don't stop them. Food and drinks were 10/10. I tried the pichana steak this time and wow it was the best steak I've had out of the 3 I've tried here. Valet is $25 and is super slow so account for that time if you're running late. read more

What a stunning restaurant. Been waiting to come here for a meal since it opened and the ambiance and decor is just beautiful. On to the food- overall flavourful and quality. Decent sized portions to share and a nice variety of choices from various areas around the Amazon. To eat we had: Hamachi Tiradito - flavorful and fresh - would order again, Guacamole con Erizo - fresh made tableside and served with tostones - loved this, Arroz Chaufa- plated tableside - the rice had great flavor and the duck was cooked perfectly, Merluza Negra - cooked perfectly and flavorful with a nice medium center. For dessert we had a creme brûlée made with a corn base - wonderful flavor! When it came to the service the staff were polite but it was a little underwhelming in terms of menu knowledge and service time. We ordered a cocktail and some wine- the sommelier Dean was very helpful and they were prompt with the wine however the cocktail took forever and we saw it sitting ready at the bar for more than 20min. When some of the food came too it was delivered to a serving tray beside our table and took more than 5min for the server to come and serve it to us so it wasn't quite as fresh as it could have been. Overall we enjoyed everything there except that we were seated down under a blowing conditioner and we had to complain a few times because it was uncomfortable cold. My friends and I stopped Amazonico on a Wednesday night. It was hard to get a reservation, and I can totally see why now. We arrived at 7:30pm and it was packed. We were chauffeured by the doormen into a beautiful foyer filled with about 4-5 hostesses to make sure we were well taken care of and hosted. The restaurant itself is drop dead gorgeous. The lighting is fantastic and the couches and tables are nicely spaced and luxurious. The music downstairs was live and performed by an excellent Latin band. Upstairs the music was also phenomenal with a deep house vibe to it. You walk in and already feel transported into paradise. The food and drinks were spectacular as well. This evening, we tried the Pao de Queijo, Arroz Chaufa, Merluza Negra, and the Entrana. The duck was delicious and the seabass was incredible. The portion sizes were nice, and the quality of the skirt steak was notable as well. The chimichurri was fresh and I loved the food. For the drinks we ordered this super cool boat that held the typical pornstar martinis. It was such a cool idea and nice shooters of the beverage. My only note is that the boat itself could be decorated and dolled up to make more of an impressive impact. Great idea though nonetheless! Our server was Abigail and fantastic at her job. The service so darn good let me tell you. She knew the menu and explained the concept wonderfully. There was nothing that we needed and I loved the teamwork the staff had when it came to teamwork. Amazónico Miami is definitely a vibe. The space is lush, beautiful, and transportive (very Tulum-meets-Miami). It's a bit moody with dimmer lighting, but still really pretty and aesthetic, which makes it feel like an experience. The service was amazing. Our server, Hubert, was fantastic and so friendly. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and spot-on with his recommendations, which made the night even better! The food was good across the board. I ordered the arroz con moriscos, which felt like a seafood paella with tiger prawns, corvina, and little neck clams in a rich Creole-style sauce. My best friend and I also shared the chimichurri-marinated prime skirt steak, which was tender and really good, and the extra chimichurri on the side was definitely a plus. Dessert stole the show! The corn crème brûlée with coconut sponge and corn meringue was incredible. Easily one of the most unique and best crème brûlées I've had. So well done and memorable! I don't drink, so I always appreciate when restaurants actually put thought into their mocktail options. The Peachy Pablo (maracuyá, lemon, apple, and soda) was refreshing, lightly sweet, and perfectly balanced. Overall, I had a really good experience. It's a large venue with inside & outside seating, as well as a rooftop terrace that has a beautiful separate bar area and an additional nightclub - offering up some very breathtaking city views from the bar. The best parts of this restaurant is the aesthetic and the vibes. It's a shame the service is so terrible considering we spent over $500.00. I've had impeccable service for much less elsewhere. Our server was not attentive, he was disgraceful. We had to chase him down for menus, extra drinks, soy sauce and still our orders were wrong and had to be sent back. Drinks were also pretty terrible & very watered down We ordered 4 mojitos that were absolutely horrendous! No sugar, barely any alcohol and the mint was not muddled at all. A non sweet, mojito with little to no alcohol is unacceptable - we had to send them back! We switched to caipirinhas and they were just ok. For appetizers we ordered the following * 2 pan de queso. Both orders were tiny, dry and way too hard. Like a crouton instead of how a pan de queso is supposed to taste. * Sashimi 5 variations, 15 pieces - although the physical pieces of sushi were very small, the sushi is fresh and tasted good. * Ensalada amazonica mango, avocado, confit tomatoes & citrus - this was a very nice dish - delicious! For our mains we ordered * 2 orders of the Bife de chorizo Ribeye. Mine was medium and cooked accordingly. However, my Husband's was also requested Medium and came back rare, bleeding & horrible. * 2 side dishes of the boniato, which is absolutely the best side dish in the house!! For dessert we ordered the Crema de Choclo dessert, a corn crème brûlée, coconut sponge & corn meringue! Delicious!! I was also brought a scoop of the Maracuya sherbet & a scoop of the Chocolate ice cream because we were celebrating my birthday. Came here for a birthday dinner for one of my closest friends. There is valet for $25 down the alleyway near PNC bank. The entrance to Amazónico was grand, with the branding label on the inside and the outside. The theme is jungle style with a dress code of jungle glamor. Once you walk inside, there is an assortment of leaves, beautiful sculptures, a grand staircase, a lovely bar, multiple rooms and 3 floors. It's a very large building. The service was fantastic. We ordered a variety of items to share between 7 people. All of the dishware was unique and different. For the appetizer, we ordered the Rollito Samosa which was very similar to a tequeno with chicken and cheese. It was tasty! Most of the party I was with eats seafood, which I do not. For my main dish, I ordered the Arroz Chaufa which I HIGHLY recommend! This dish was made of red, black and white whole grain rice with grilled duck and fried egg. It was DELICIOUS and had a mix of an Asian blend to the taste. I could have ate two of these! We also got the Ojo de Bife and the Picanha. The picanha was cut right in front of us from a slab. It was cooked perfectly and tasted fantastic. The ojo de bife on the other hand, was not cooked medium as we asked. It was cooked on the more well done side. We got papas as a side dish which tasted pretty good. For dessert we got the lava cake and the brigadeiros which tasted amazing and rich! We went upstairs to the rooftop after dinner, and the bar was uniquely decorated into a colorful peacock. The weather was great 70s. The quarters are quite small and the servers kept bumping into us and telling us to move. I would recommend sitting down and staying put if you're going up there. I'm soo glad we were able to get into this cute little rooftop. We had attempted to make dinner reservations in advance but they were fully booked unfortunately. The vibes were great though, the service was surprisingly quick. The cocktails were delicious! We even managed to get a table to sit at once a group of people left, which was very convenient to chit chat. I ordered an espresso martini and it was smooth, the foam had a great consistency. I honestly feel like I chugged it because it was made so well. My cousin had a pornstar martini and it was sweet/refreshing. The only thing I didn't like about the lounge is that it's not as tropical as the first floor, but it's good to know for my next visit! On top of that they sat us next to where all the staff sorta hangs around, and gets the utensils etc, they should fix this, possibly find a new area to make so much noise. We brought it up to the manager and he could care less, hence why the 4 stars! The third floor rooftop offers open air views of the Miami skyline paired with bold tropical décor and dramatic design elements. Now let's talk about the food because it delivers just as hard as the atmosphere. The picanha was absolutely unreal. Perfectly cooked with a juicy tender center and that signature top layer of fat crisped just right. And let me just say they did NOT disappoint! The filet mignon was fire too. Soft tender and cooked to perfection with a clean pure beef flavor that melts on your fork. We were a bit late for our reservation and then had to wait in line to check in. It passed 15 minutes after our reservation and I got an automated email I'll be charged $50 per person no show. The hostess was a bit rude but luckily we asked for the manager who was able to seat us in the main dining area outdoors. Your experience really depends on where you get seated. Some of our friends were seated in the lounge upstairs which was more fun and lively but also very loud for a dinner. They had a live Spanish band downstairs. The restaurant atmosphere and decor is beautiful and very in theme. The restaurant is large and has 3 levels, including a rooftop bar wit a new club opening in November. The dress code is very strict, so make sure you're dressed up. Celebrated birthday dinner and we had a nice waiter, but one thing that drives me nuts is the staff wanting to remove plates without asking if we're finished and while there's still food on the plate. The plates are all shareable/ family style. Portions are small so for a group of 10 people, we ordered double of various plates to have variety. Second floor has a nice vibe for romantic date night. This place was such a vibe. I enjoyed my overall experience. From the decor, lighting, service, and food, everything was perfect. Our server was super attentive and made sure we always had what we needed like water and drink refills. We ordered the tuna tarte, spicy mango shrimp and pan de bono bites. Each dish was unique and flavorful. We also had drinks that were visually appealing and strong, which is always a plus. The restaurant has three floors, with the third floor being first come, first serve which had an outdoor bar atmosphere. The second floor is the lounge area where we ate. It was very trendy and had dim lighting with a DJ playing tunes. After we had our main meal, we went down to the first floor to have more drinks at the bar, and the bartenders were very nice and very attentive. The main floor is where they have two areas for live bands. I highly recommend this place if you want to enjoy a fun night out. read more

Amazónico is undeniably a stunning space, with an atmosphere that suggests a refined and elevated dining experience. Unfortunately, the execution falls notably short of that promise. While service appeared polished on the surface, it lacked attentiveness where it truly mattered. Dishes arrived consistently below standard--most notably at room temperature. The sweet potatoes were entirely cold, and my sea bass, priced at $58, was both underwhelming in flavor and improperly served. After sending it back, it returned unchanged, which was particularly disappointing. In the interim, I observed a tray of food sitting out for an extended period before eventually being served to another table--only after it was pointed out. It was difficult not to question the consistency and care behind what was coming out of the kitchen. Despite raising these concerns and returning a dish, the final bill ($327) remained unadjusted, with a 20% gratuity already included. While I paid without objection, the absence of acknowledgment spoke volumes. To his credit, the manager, Saz, did extend an invitation to return. However, for a restaurant positioning itself at this level, one would expect excellence to be standard--not something to revisit in hopes of experiencing. A final note: the upstairs seating, in particular, did not reflect the level of service one would anticipate in a restaurant of this caliber. read more

Amazonico is an experience. Walking through the dimly light jungle entrance you hear the live music then enter a luxurious seating area with a bar lining the left back wall. I was fortunate to grab the last bar seat as I did not have a reservation. The shashimi and sushi options are large. I enjoyed how helpful and patient the bartender treated me. My drink was a smoky mezcal drink that was well balanced. Each bite of the sushi was divine. I returned with a friend Sunday and we went directly upstairs to the lounge. There is very limited seating so prepare to stand. The smoked margs were delicious with a fun presentation. I believe the round of drinks was $70 and the gratuity included. I had read and heard mixed reviews about this place, but I still wanted to give it a try, so when my friend decided to celebrate her birthday here it was the perfect opportunity to check it out. For starters the place is beautiful, with seating available inside, outside and on the second floor. While I waited for my group to arrive I grabbed a drink at the bar, the bartender was super nice and gave me a handful of recommendations to order at dinner like the Toro tuna tartar and table side Picanha. Once seated at our table we decided to order family style so we could try a variety of items. We ordered the recommended dishes along with the Hamachi tiraditos, Rolito spring rolls, Ribeye, Dover sole, Arroz chaufa with duck and the Lobster orzo pasta, my favorites being the last two items although every thing was tasty. The music was at a nice volume and eventually there was a live band playing. Parking can be difficult in the area so I recommend valeting, which was easy. All in all I think the restaurant has perfected some of the hiccups people mentioned, as I can say my group and I had a fantastic time. read more

They often say you know if a restaurant has it together when you visit on a special holiday. I made reservations for NYE and I was not disappointed. The restaurant is beautiful. It does not look gimmicky because of its Amazon theme. It was elegant and beautiful. Their drinks are served in fun drink ware such as monkeys and peacocks. They are beautifully crafted and delicious. The menu was a fixed NYE menu and portions were generous. The quality of everything that was served was exceptional and so was the service. Despite the kitchen being backed up and had to wait longer than usual it was still a pleasant experience. The live music added to the ambiance and I'm happy I made the choice to visit on NYE. read more

Food was good! It was extremely crowded for dinner. There was live music. The bar is upstairs. Overall really fun place. The steak was really good! Because it's so busy expect food and things to take awhile to come. It is hard getting hold of a waiter at times. So have some good convos while you wait. read more
