Why did no one tell me that I'm Amazonico had one of the prettiest rooftops in all of Miami? What makes this place stand out of course which we all knew is how beautiful and immersive it is. It almost feels like you're actually in some Amazon rainforest but wait now we're at the rooftop trying out some of their amazing bites. At first I thought it was a very limited menu because they only have a few items, it ends up being a very solid menu. Every single thing that we ate was amazing. There's no exaggeration everything that they made was pretty but at the same time it tasted delicious some of our standouts were definitely the Toro truffle Maki, which you can only find on the rooftop and it's honestly a reason alone to come to the rooftop along with the rollito Samosa, which was packed with chicken and of course they had to have their own Wagyu Sando rendition next time you and the girls are looking for the next date night or the next night out or the next sexy place to hang out in check out, the rooftop This is currently one of Miami's top restaurants that no one can stop talking about, but why is it that I never heard that it has such a gorgeous rooftop think the theme here is Peacock and while at first their menu seemed a little small after trying all of the menu, I realized that everything they made was delicious. Some of our standouts were the truffle Toro monkey, which you can only find at the rooftop and it's reason alone to visit they of course have their own Sando and Samosa this place is a kind of spot where you stay the night and get lost and kind of wonder where you are. The Australian wagyu was definitely the highlight and was actually really good. The sushi was fine, but nothing memorable. The vibe is fantastic, it's a very MILA Miami Beach vibe with the water pathway in the middle, the loud house music, and the dim lights. You're kind of thrown into a party. We ordered a spicy tuna crispy rice, wagyu sando, dumplings x2 (chicken and beef), and then a tuna handroll. I'd say everything was average. Service was 10/10. Everyone was friendly and attentive, and our server went above and beyond, walking us through the entire menu to help us decide. What a magical, amazing experience we had on Christmas eve! It started at the bar with the best bartenders serving us espresso martinis and a view of the skyline. We then sat in the open-air seating, the restaurant is stunning! We enjoyed delicious tuna crispy rice and the star of the show was the little sandos with gold flecks-- beautiful and delicious. Beautiful Place, Zero Hospitality, Total Disrespect! A Stunning Location Ruined by Aggressive and Untrained Staff We drove many miles genuinely excited to experience this restaurant, and what we encountered was one of the most disappointing dining experiences we've had in Miami. The disappointment started from minute one. We arrived around 8:45 pm with a smile, looking forward to the evening. The experience began in a disorganized hotel lobby at The Gale, and only went downhill from there. When we reached the restaurant, we were met by three staff members at the front desk who were openly rude: no greeting, no "good evening," no "how can I help you." Just cold faces and an immediate, dismissive statement: "No reservation, no table until 10 pm." The tone was icy and unwelcoming. We were told to maybe try the bar and that they would "try" to call us at 10 pm. Meanwhile, we clearly saw many empty tables. Out of curiosity, we checked OpenTable at 9:00 pm and saw multiple available reservations starting at 9:15 pm every 15 minutes. We booked one. Shortly after, a man dressed in white (possibly a manager) approached us with a very aggressive attitude, raising his voice and questioning why we had a reservation and when we made it. This was shocking. If reservations are available on OpenTable, that is not the guest's fault. This situation clearly showed a complete lack of coordination and competence between the front desk staff and the reservation system. The same man returned, still hostile, and practically threatened to cancel our reservation. My husband had to ask him to lower his voice and stop being aggressive. Moments later, we noticed our 9:15 pm reservation had been changed in the system to 10:00 pm without our consent. Unacceptable. Eventually, we were "given" a table, but it was one of the worst tables possible: directly in front of the bathroom and kitchen traffic, exposed to a freezing 59°F temperature with strong wind and no heating. We had to ask for the heater, which took over 10 minutes to be turned on, and even then it was positioned so poorly that we received no warmth. We were left there, cold, unattended, while still seeing empty tables around us. A server brought blankets and then disappeared. We waited over 15 minutes without anyone coming back to take an order. At that point, we decided to leave. Why would anyone spend money in a place where you are mistreated from the moment you arrive? That is a lack of self-respect as a guest. Miami has countless dining options, and we will not waste our money at a beautiful location that completely lacks basic hospitality, professionalism, and staff training. It is truly a shame to see owners invest millions in stunning locations, design, and food, only to place poorly trained, rude, and unprepared people in customer-facing roles. The staff is the face of your business. Without proper service, the beauty of the place means nothing. At this point, robots would honestly do a better job than staff with no education, empathy, or basic customer service skills. Stop apologizing and start taking action. A beautiful restaurant with mediocre service has no future in a city like Miami, where mediocrity is paid for very dearly. We will never step foot in this restaurant again read more

I didn't quite understand it: a standard maki topped with a puffed, fried shrimp bite on each piece. Nontraditional is fine, but where was the shrimp? It mostly tasted like fried batter. We were told to wait at the bar, which would've been fine, but it was so crowded that there wasn't much space to stand, and we even had to wait a while just to order drinks. It was a very busy night so we didn't see much of our server, but we could tell they were doing their best. For appetizers, the truffle edamame had great flavor, first time trying truffle on edamame and I really liked it. The Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice was amazing, super crispy rice and really fresh tuna. The Duroc Pork & Kimchee gyoza might honestly be the best gyoza I've ever had, perfect texture and the sauce was delicious. The Iberico Pork rice pot was also great, and the pork was incredibly flavorful. The oyster mushrooms were another standout dish, with an amazing sauce and crispy leeks that added so much texture. The Yuzu-saikyo miso black cod was delicious too, pouring the sauce over the top really brings it together. From the meat menu, we tried the Three Kings platter, which included bavette, Denver, and tenderloin cuts with bone marrow and brown butter miso, highly recommend. For maki rolls, the Wagyu Surf & Turf Roll was our favorite, the pairing of meat with lobster was excellent. The Rock Shrimp Tempura Roll was also great. It was extremely clean, from the tables to the seats to the bathrooms. Definitely an upscale spot. They had a live DJ who knew how to keep the vibe flowing nicely for a Friday night. The only downside for me were the drinks. Their specialty cocktails are premade and they could not make any adjustments. For example, I couldn't switch the brand of vodka or request light syrup, which was disappointing. So I went with a simple vodka soda and a splash of juice. It was fine, but nothing memorable. I really wish they allowed liquor or light ingredient swaps for their specialty drinks. Food-wise, though, everything was great: - Garden Salad = 5 stars! I made a reservation at Yamashiro and noted that it was a special night since my girlfriend was leaving to Thailand the next day for three weeks. I asked for a nice table, but we were seated at the very end of the restaurant facing a wall, which was disappointing given the occasion. Service felt slow and a bit inattentive -- we initially weren't provided proper napkins, cutlery, or chopsticks, and our table was loose. The restaurant was also very loud, making it hard to enjoy a conversation. Food was mixed. The truffle edamame tasted like it may have been microwaved, and the baked roll was just average. The steak sandwich came out extremely raw and had to be sent back, and even then lacked flavor. The cucumber salad was actually very good with a nice bit of spice, and the bluefin tuna nigiri was solid. I was so excited to stop by this location. I am a regular at the Yamashiro Hollywood and this location treated me very poorly. I wasn't underdressed as my shoes were a thousand dollars and my top was $300, I was dressed stylish but they let me know it's not up to par. I will not be going to this location, I do not recommend the location as the staff treated me very poorly on opening night and really left a sour taste in my mouth. Absolutely awful restaurant, the food tasted weird. The sushi was fishy. The ugly owner was rude to the customers that were overpaying for his overpriced bad quality food. Terrible experience. Never coming back , dont waste your time coming here. read more

The restaurant is beautiful: situated on a rooftop in downtown Miami, skyline views, lush greens and sculptures to decorate. The staff was attentive and friendly - they even offered us blankets because it was a windy night. We ordered the Yamashiro Roll, the A5 wagyu/lobster roll, the spicy tuna crispy rice, and the crab dumplings. Great music playing also. Yamashiro just delivered one of our top three dining experiences in Miami. From the moment those massive doors open and you step into the Zen garden with flowing fountains, warm wood, soft uplighting, curated beats in the background, and the Miami night air drifting through, it feels like you've crossed into another realm. The food was outstanding across the board. The ceviche was bright and precise. The otoro and salmon belly were melt-in-your-mouth perfection. Rock shrimp tempura, oysters, the Yamashiro roll, truffle yellowtail roll, and tiramisu all hit exactly the way they should. No weak links. Every plate intentional. But what truly set this place apart was the service. Brittany and her team were absolute professionals. The pacing was flawless. Plates cleared seamlessly. Every dish was explained with care and enthusiasm. They were attentive without hovering, friendly without being forced. You could feel the pride in what they were doing. The ambiance alone is worth the visit elegant, serene, and beautifully designed, with a calm Japanese inspired aesthetic that feels very special, especially in the evening. The space, lighting, and overall atmosphere create a memorable experience and it's easy to see why this place attracts high profile guests. That said, while the presentation of the dishes was beautiful, the food itself was fairly average in flavor. Nothing was bad, but nothing truly stood out or left a lasting impression either. Overall, it's a great place for atmosphere, drinks, and a relaxed night out, but the food didn't quite live up to the setting. I'd return for the ambiance, not necessarily for the menu. read more
