The place isn't that big and seating is first come first serve. I got my food to go and I asked for chili oil on the side. I wasn't a fan of the chili oil it seemed like I was given garlic oil because I didn't see any chili seeds. That was the only thing I wasn't a fan of. This location is located across from the D'oro italian cafe in the heart of Downtown Miami. The interior decor is pleasant and the vibe inside is comfortable and hip. The staff is super friendly and the food is fresh. They have complimentary water for those waiting for their meals. I ordered the poke bowl and my date ordered the beef ramen. The poke was delicious yet a bit small but I was able to build my own from scratch. He stated his ramen was a bit unflavorful and ranked it a 4/5. Sovereign is quickly becoming of my favorite lunch spots in Downtown Miami. The prices are very fair for what I've seen is one of the larger poke bowl in the area outside of much more expensive sit down restaurants. The customizations here are also very good! You can truly make your bowl unique and as savory or as sweet as you'd like it. They don't skimp on the fish or the toppings! The tuna and salmon are very fresh, as are the various fruit toppings (mango), crispy onions, corn, edamame etc. that are on offer. Next time, I will be tempted to try have some boba tea with my poke bowl order. I have only ordered takeout from here but encounter warm and very quick service each time. Great boba pit stop! I had a taste for some and stumbled upon this place. I ordered a brown sugar milk tea to satisfy my craving. It was so yummy! Also ordered a spicy tuna and salmon poke bowl. Well I had some DoorDash issues with my order but I would say the all stars of this experience were the staff working on Oct 14,2024. They were so sweet thank you so much for your hospitality. The food was great and my poke bowl was so yummy. I had my ordered canceled on DoorDash and unfortunately I had to walk in but that wasn't a problem for me once I arrived the two girls working were so nice and sweet helping me with the bad experience I had with DoorDash. If you're looking for a really good Asian restaurant, it's very important to read the Asians that rate Asian restaurants instead to get a true idea if the food is really good or not. We Asians know our food. This place is more like an Asian Fusion restaurant. I was kind of disappointed and didn't think the hype is all that. Sure their poke bowl maybe good as this is now the Hawaiian food style trend that hit Miami. However, if you're looking for really good authentic Asian restaurant for the quality and price then take a hard pass on this place. Here are the reasons for 2 stars: 1. The two girls working in front don't approach you to say hi or how can I help you. Unless you approach them first. Like other Yelpers put it on here. Yes. That's rude. 2. I got the Golden Pineapple Curry Shrimp with fried rice and it was horrible. I tasted more of the curry turmeric sprinkled on it than the curry flavor. It truly lacks flavor. The fried rice had zero taste! There was only 3 shrimps and maybe 4 pineapples in it. This is supposed to have a sweet taste to the entire bowl. I've tasted Golden Pineapple Curry Shrimp at a Malaysian restaurant before and I know my stuff. There is an option to pick chicken or pork. Hard pass! 3. They did nail their Boba and Mango smoothie but I'm not here to review only smoothies like some of these reviewers are doing giving 5 stars when they didn't even taste their food. 4. Their popcorn chicken with French fries wasn't bad as popcorn chicken is Taiwanese style but I've had better. 5. Their hot girl noodle bowl wasn't good at all. Not sure the hype. 6. Overall, their decoration in the interior is nice but their food is ok. Their bowls and noodles are just way over priced. I rather go to Ichimi MIA Japanese restaurant that is a couple miles from there than this walking distance place from hotel. The flavors were a good combination, creamier than the tea, and was just a nice mix. The boba was perfect! Great texture since it's not too soft and also flavorful. Most of the smoothies use real fruit. I HAVE ordered this on Uber Eats and also now in person, and the boba is just consistently good! I was welcomed warmly as soon as I came in, and she was very patient with my questions, which I appreciated. There is plenty of seating, and the drinks were prepared quickly!
