    Wax On Bowl
    Sheryl S.

The Wax On bowl was great but a bit too saucy from the dressing. I got it with half white rice and salad. The salmon was fresh. Came on a Wednesday afternoon and wasn't packed and the food came out quickly. The sushi spot across from them is their sister restaurant but did not get to try anything from there on this visit.

Kid poke. Tuna! Wakame! Cucumber! Shallots! Rice!

I'm not a fan of food courts. But, a few of Miami's hidden gems are located inside halls like the Citadel. Brought by a friend, specifically for a Poke bowl. Very fresh tuna over sushi rice and garnished with wakame, crispy shallots and marinated cucumber, drizzled with eel sauce. As tasty as visually enticing. My only criticism, is next time I order, less cucumber. I like cucumber. But for my preferred taste, the marinade is very sweet, to a point of too distracting. I prefer to let the protein be itself without being overpowered by the sugars. Otherwise, I plan to make this a frequent choice. Also suggested - the crispy rice and the crab rolls. Deliciously well composed!

BEST butter crab roll around town! They have well proportioned poke bowls that you can customize which I love! The fish is super fresh and flavorful, However, their butter crab roll and their yellowtail onigiri are hands down worth trying this new hot spot! (Located inside of the citadel)

Delicious delicious..: the fish is nice and fresh, the rice is so good that I can eat it by it self . A huge fan of the pickle cucumber , they put a good amount. I order twice last week and not one complain.

The presentation was good, however the food needed more flavor. Maybe adding more sauce to the order would've create the perfect combination. I got the small order and added a drink, fresh seaweed, and avocado. Paid $26.54 with the tip.

You can truly make your bowl unique and as savory or as sweet as you'd like it. They don't skimp on the fish or the toppings! The tuna and salmon are very fresh, as are the various fruit toppings (mango), crispy onions, corn, edamame etc. that are on offer. Next time, I will be tempted to try have some boba tea with my poke bowl order. I have only ordered takeout from here but encounter warm and very quick service each time. No wonder why they've even able to expand to multiple locations across Miami-Dade and Broward County!

I ordered a Medium build-your-own bowl, and it was divine. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, balanced, and satisfying. It's exactly what I was hoping for. The ambiance was relaxed and low-key. People were quietly enjoying their bowls, tables were clean, and the space had that easygoing vibe. Service was friendly and helpful, and while the bowls took a few extra minutes since they were refilling ingredients, I honestly didn't mind, it just meant everything was being made fresh. All in all, I'd come back in a heartbeat. Great food, chill vibe, and the kind of meal that hits the spot without feeling heavy.

The tuna was catastrophically spoiled: instead of the bright, ruby-red color of fresh ahi, it arrived a sickly, oxidized brown, shriveled, dry, and reeking of ammonia and rot so strong it made my eyes water the moment I opened the container. This fish had clearly been sitting unrefrigerated for days, the kind that screams scombroid poisoning. One bite of that toxic mess and you're looking at a potential trip to the ER. Entire bowl looked like it had been thrown together by someone who hates customers. It resembled pig slop more than human food. The avocado I paid extra for? A mushy, blackened, overripe disaster that should have been tossed in the trash days ago, not served to paying customers. This is clearly a criminal negligence. By every health code and FDA standard, an establishment serving spoiled, potentially poisonous fish like this should be shut down immediately and fined into oblivion. I am stunned this place is still allowed to operate and endanger the public. First and last time I will ever order from here. Do yourself a favor and stay far, far away from it!

This place, however, is a major exception! 1-800-Lucky is an Asian food hall in the heart of the Wynwood neighborhood in Miami (north of downtown and Brickell, west of midtown, south of design district). This food hall packs a punch and would be right at home in LA, SF, NYC, CHI, SEA, etc. The restaurant options include korean, authentic Chinese, sushi, dim sum, Ramen, and Thai street food. The Korean restaurant and thai food, in particular, are stellar. Portions a bit small for price (most entrees 18-23 dollars with side items less. I am a big eater and was able to eat entire thai meal, korean meal my last visit with little more room. I like smaller sizes here to give me excuse to order variety of places without waste (other than money arguably). Most people likely to be good with one entree and side from most establishments. There is also a cocktail bar with great outdoor patio conducive to both hanging with friends for cocktails or sipping Boba tea while catching up on some work. The restaurants have self service ordering screens where u order/pay. Employees will bust your table when done with meal.
