This restaurant is located inside Doral Yard and its one of the many options they offer. We had wanted to try their Poke burger (first and only time ive heard of it!) and was not disappointed!! We're huge fans of sushi and poke bowls, so our expectations were high. All of the ingredients were fresh, and the portion was large. I did see other reviews saying they lacked sauce and I would have to agree. If they gave the sauce on the side or generously spread it around the burger, it would be a 10/10. The salmon croquetas were TO DIE FOR. Overall the service was quick for a Friday night, and the host was nice too. Everything was clean and the Doral Yard staff were friendly. A small counter inside Doral yard. Service was a tad slow, but they give you a beeper when food is ready so you don't have to wait around, you can walk or sit and have a drink. I had the tuna poke burger which was better than expected! Huge chunks of tuna with seaweed salad, avocado, and seaweed salad and a spicy Mayo sauce. The bun was two crispy rice Pattie's. Sometimes I can get turned off with how greasy or oily crispy rice can be, but this one was perfect! Better than expected. Highly recommend here! read more

Doral could definitely use more food options. When I heard about this place called Pokekai, it got my attention because even poke bowls are hard to find in this area. So off we went hunting for this place called Pokekai, which was found hidden inside of Tripping Animals Brewery. This venue was nice and spacious with plenty of tables and even couches to lounge on so good for them. The downside was parking. It's very limited. There's a slim chance you'll find any parking spaces unless you visit at odd hours or wait for someone to leave. We ordered a couple of items from Pokekai. Our 1st item, the Tuna Poke Bowl looked pretty, but tasted just mediocre. I wish I could say it was bursting with flavor, but it was just the opposite and was fairly underwhelming. However, a somewhat salty taste was present. Also, the texture of the rice was kind of gooey. This was definitely not one of the best poke bowls I've ever had. Our 2nd item was the Beef Brisket Bao. It wasn't bad at first and started off tasting alright, but then, it just turned out to be way too salty. I ate it anyways since I was hangry. But, for some people with high blood pressure, it wouldn't be edible for that reason.. and I know a few. I actually love brisket, but this one was too salty. I wouldn't order it again. Perhaps the other items on Pokekai's menu are better. I'll leave this 3 star rating as a place holder for now. Come on Pokekai.. capitalize on the "no poke bowls in Doral" dilemma! read more

The saddest poke bowl I've had. I used to eat here all the time. The topping size was double juts a few months ago. I don't know what happened but this was mostly rice and spice mayo. They were out of almost all ingredients I requested. This place used to be amazing. Really sad read more

Photos from new location in Doral - Reasonably priced for the amount of fresh fish given, good portions, quick service, what I didn't enjoy too much was the sauce (or in my case, lack of sufficient sauce) for both the burger and the poke tots. It didn't feel like they put enough sauce on the tots in particular. The avocado was fresh and guacamole in the tots were lightly seasoned at least. Also, the rice was fried well for the burger and tots, but the taste was a bit subpar given the lack of seasoning added to the rice before frying. I recommend adding sushi vinegar (rice vinegar,salt,sugar) to add some sort of flavor to the rice instead of bland fried white rice. I asked for some sauce from the counter and they gave me a little bit of spicy mayo in a sauce cup, the mixture itself could've used more sriracha as it mostly just tasted like mayo. They did not offer any other type of sauce to me. Would go again in the future if these small adjustments were made. read more

For the price, I had expected a little more portion wise. The rice was really hot so by the time I got back to my room, my fish was warm which was weird and the half salad I got was wilted. Both bowls taste good! The fish is fresh and toppings too. As far as I see (from the printed menu), there are only poke bowls. Not sure whether they have buns and other things. The reason why I give 4-star is because of the location. I thought it is a small restaurant or window, but it is actually a food truck . Not sure whether there is another location during the day time but it is what I saw when I went there for dinner. I'm not saying food truck is bad. But it is easy to miss this place and I may not want to try it if I'm alone, especially as a tourist. read more

So I went to the Blind Pig and while sitting inside, all of a sudden a delicious aroma hit my nose. My friend was eating something that I wanted! I didn't know what it was yet, but I knew I wanted it. Haha. She pointed me in the direction of the food trucks in the back. This is when I found Pokekai and was instantly greeted by Pedro. He was so helpful with all of our questions and suggestions. I created my own bowl, which allowed you to choose a base, protein, and I believe 3-4 toppings. Everything was so fresh and the portion size was so generous. The presentation of the bowl was so beautiful, you almost didn't want to eat it - almost. Lol. The customer service blew me away as well! This is pretty genius. The deliciousness here comes in the form of either a taco or bao. I've tried almost every bao here with the brisket and chorizo ones being my favorite. You absolutely have to order the yucca fries on the side whether you're sharing or not. I love the green cilantro sauce they drizzle on top of the yucca fries so much that I usually ask for extra on the side to add to my baos. It's the perfect addition to the trendy new Tripping Animals Brewery which also serves creative craft beers perfectly paired to their zesty and decadent bites. They've got a vegetarian option as well for those who prefer their taco or bao sans meat. The service here is always friendly and they prepare your meal with simplicity yet with the freshest ingredients. It's extremely affordable and much better than all the food I've ever been served at a brewery. I looovveee everything on their menu. read more

Delicious and refreshing menu option during a warm summer day! They are located inside the Yellow Green Farmer's Market and are a true gem. Everything is very fresh and you can create your own bowl. I had the tuna bowl with brown rice and lots of veggies. They were definitely generous with all of the ingredients, which is great. The only missing star is for the price. I paid $18 for a bowl which I think is really expensive, especially at a farmer's market kiosk. That did not include anything to drink.
