So, there was nobody even eating inside during the early afternoon, only one teenager behind me, ...they had delivery bags to go, and they serve too much rice and very little of the add on contents. I could barely taste anything of the add ons, and I was hungry again within an hour and a half! Some of the rice was stuck ...together like burned old and dry, and the rest of the large amount of rice I left outside to the wild birds. Some of the add ons like the salmon didn't seem fresh, and I've never eaten ...an entire octopus body before so it was unusual seeing whole bodies of dead baby octopus in the choice glass. The service was what you'd expect from a "build your own" Poke place, but I was not pleased with the food quality (specifically the add-ons (that make the rest of the bowl) were not fresh). Which was disappointing considering the cost. On the topic of cost, when we went to check out the price had a built-in tip with no option to change unless you wanted to increase. Maybe that's common nowadays in take-out restaurants in Miami, but I didn't appreciate it being forced into the price. read more

It's a Hawaiian smorgasbord you pick your rice, quinoa base, protein, toppings sauces and omg you have a work of art in a clear bubble that makes your dish a work of art. That bubble container is amazing to recycle as a terrarium (see photo) or make chocolate ball piñatas to fill with treats, I did. Love their bubbly lychee drink and the quirky bottle with a glass marble it comes in. Finish it off with a box of pokey cookie sticks and a rose boba tea for dessert to share with a friend. Probably the best poke shop I've been to. This place is located at the end of a strip small right next to a Mc Donalds. Nothing fancy but very clean and the staff is very friendly. Walked in and was immediately greeted by 2 enthusiastic gentlemen. They were probably the owners but they explained the ordering process step by step. Plus they also convinced me to try their boba. For the poke, I got it with baby octopus, salmon, veggies topped with garlic and onion flakes, masago, and seaweed. OMG. Super tasty and very fresh. The boba was also rich and delicious. I wanted something quick and easy but somewhat healthy. So did a quick Yelp search and found this spot. It doesn't look like much from outside and when you walk in, it kind of feels like a subway chain where you can see and pick what you want to add to your bowl. I love the idea but at the same time seeing the raw fish just there didn't sit great with me. I still decided to give this a try. I don't think I'm great at making my own mixture as my choices made a bowl a little too " wet " I chose the zucchini noodles and should've probably just gone for the rice. I ordered a poke bowl that consisted with primarily spicy tuna and spicy surimi (imitation crab meat). However, the surimi, wasn't spicy. It appeared simply shredded and not drenched in any type of sauce that would've given it some spice and kick. The spicy tuna was minced. I was expecting it to be cube shaped. Perhaps the regular tuna comes cubed. I'm not sure. The proteins were buried at the bottom with the rice. I think it would've been better to place them before placing the toppings, since it's the focal point of the dish and would appear immediately visible to the customer. Nonetheless, the bowl was delicious. I requested 2 sauces, to eat with my bowl, but didn't receive it. I'm grateful I had Asian condiments at home. I pulled out some wasabi, yum yum and sriracha sauce and was good to go. The sauce is what binds the whole meal together and without it, it would definitely be hard to eat the poke bowl. I'm not sure how they didn't give the sauce. Other than that, the ingredients were fresh. They offer a great selection of toppings which is always fun. The portion size was very generous. I got my meal through DoorDash and was looking forward to receiving their signature bubble plastic bowl. I think it's so cool and makes a great social media piece; however it wasn't provided. Perhaps it's no longer offered. I'm not certain. The meal was delicious and healthy. Next time, I'll probably take the short drive and do a pick up order just to make sure I get my sauce. This was my first poke bowl and was impressed. I also ordered the passion fruit / pineapple tea drink. It appeared to have small chunks of pineapple and water melon with a slice of a lime. I never give bad reviews but this place was very disappointing. The spicy tuna and spicy salmon taste AWFUL! I came here specifically for a delicious spicy salmon bowl and that is not what I got. First of all, I told the girl behind the counter to give me the surimi and the spicy SALMON and she put the spicy tuna on my bowl. I had to correct her and she kindly removed the tuna and put salmon instead. Secondly, it took me several seconds to realize that I had a ball of ground up fish on my rice bowl. It looked like they took a can/bag of shredded fish and tossed it with their sauce. I've eaten at a lot of poke restaurants and I've never seen tuna or salmon prepared like that. Usually they cut fresh fish and toss it in the sauce. I was thinking it didn't look appetizing, but I figured I give it a try and maybe it will taste better than it looks... it did not! It tasted like salmon from a pouch doused in Sriracha. It did not taste fresh and after two bites I was not happy with the bowl. I went up to the counter and explained to the employee that I thought the spicy salmon mixture would taste as good as the fresh fish but it did not and was wondering if I could have a new bowl with the fresh fish instead and she said "No." She said the only thing she could offer me was to scoop the fresh fish on top of my already made bowl and put spicy mayo all over it. I said I would just rather have my money back at that point and she said no to that as well. So out of desperation to salvage my meal I took her offer with the scoop of fresh fish, but it did not make it taste better. I then left. I am leaving two stars because at least they offered the free scoop of fresh fish and that their Boba fruit tea was decent and had the big Boba pearls. They have almost everything you can think of that could go on a poke bowl. Mine had browns rice, lettuce, avocado, corn, carrots, edamame, spicy tuna, spicy salmon and spicy mayo. My boyfriend also got one and he fell in love it's his "new favorite spot". Definitely recommend! They're actually a Hawaiian restaurant and their staff wears masks and is super sweet!
