Delicious! The service, spice Miami menu, and ambiance -- all 5 star! Stopped to eat and catch a vibe, and got way more than I bargained for!
Good but not great. Enjoyed the butcher's feast for lunch and left feeling very satisfied! The seasoning on the meat was done fresh before being grilled, it was inconsistent and sometimes too salty, especially paired with the ssamjang Aged rib-eye was the least impressive for me, the flavor tasted like my meat was browning, and it wasn't very tender. It had too much fat on it. Flatiron was decently good, and the marinated short rib was way too sweet. Hanger steak was my favorite among all of them. I enjoyed all 3 soups that accompanied, and noticed the kimchi stew had pork it in, which is a plus. Loved the variety of kimchi they offered.
Cote has been on my radar FOR EVER. So I came here for their Miami Spice lunch, and wanted to try their fried chicken dish. The service was attentive. The decor was very Miami. The food was good, although I must say I did expect it to be more of a wow factor, than what I received. My score is 4.5.
The drinks were amazing and definitely one of the highlights of the night. The service was excellent too--everyone was attentive and made the experience great. I also loved the cool, unique atmosphere of the restaurant; the whole place almost felt like being inside a spaceship. The meat was very good, but I wasn't a fan of the curries at all. There were also a little too many sides for me. I would have rather had fewer sides and another piece of meat. Overall, a really good experience with amazing drinks, service, and atmosphere--I'd just like to see a little more focus on the main course.
A beautiful experience at a Korean steakhouse located in the Miami design district. Came here as the first stop on of our trip, and decided to enjoy the Korean bbq for lunch. Granted this was quite heavy as there is a lot to eat but since it's impossible to get a reservation in NYC, we thought might as well experience Miami! They have an option for Miami spice week which included everything pictured. The location is great, there is so much to do in the adjacent area and it's not insanely packed. One thing I love about Miami is how much more is allowed here because of there being no limitations on space. So restaurants here are literally huge! I'm personally not a huge fan of Korean steakhouses but the Kobe beef here totally swayed me and changed my mind. My boyfriend really wanted to go and thoroughly enjoyed it, I was there for the vibes and company. I did love the drinks and dessert! And the ambiance is immaculate. I loved the variety of options and they have an extensive menu to fulfill anyone's heart desires! Would definitely go back and try some of the steaks again
12/10 experience! We had a seamless lunch here, starting with the super convenient valet right outside. The staff was incredibly welcoming & had no problem accommodating our stroller. Plus, as a parent, I was so impressed to find a changing table in the bathroom, not always a guarantee at a Michelin star spot! For a Korean BBQ restaurant, the ventilation is amazing. There was zero smoke in the air, so you don't leave smelling like the kitchen lol Everything we ate was outstanding, from the soup & salads to the full banchan spread. Having the staff cook everything at the table made it so relaxed. The drinks were also a highlight, the espresso martini & the coconut mocktail were both excellent. We will 1000% be back!
I would be the first to say I am not necessarily a steak connoisseur, but I absolutely loved every bite we had here! We went with the Butcher's Feast, and each cut of steak was absolutely delicious. We also got the Wagyu add-on for a bit of an extra charge, and honestly I would say it is worth it. I loved how you could completely customize each and every bite. All of the steak was soooo flavorful, and all of the vegetables were crunchy and flavorful. One of my favorite parts of the meal was also watching them cook the steak for us right at our table. Just tell them what kind of cook you want on your steak, and they will take care of the rest. As far as the approachability of this restaurant, I found it very welcoming and a really great hospitality team. Having never tried a Michelin Star restaurant before, I was worried I would be out of my element but I felt very comfortable here. They tell you how to make your bites of vegetables and recommend different flavor combinations to try. This is an AMAZING place to come on a special occasion, and the price of the meal reflects the high quality of the aged steak, and the attention to detail on each dish. Highly recommend the Butcher's Feast and a trip to come visit this restaurant.
Not sure if the Cote Miami location has a Michelin star like it's NYC location. Our experience here didn't meet my expectations for a Michelin restaurant. At most Korean BBQ, the server cooks the meat and we were told they would do the cooking. However, at the end our server disappeared and our kalbi was a bit burnt. To the maitre credit, he saw that, took it off the grill and asked if it was okay. We said it was okay not wanting to be a pain but meat was a bit overdone. I mentioned it at the end and our maitre did take some side dishes off our bill. We had also ordered the waygu addition but our waiter must have forgot. This turned out fine because we were all full at the end. I do want to say that the sides served here was really good. The meat was good but I can't say it was the best I've ever had. Perhaps the waygu would have changed my mind. We had a group of nine people and in order to sit us all together without the private dining, they added a 5% admin fee. Overall, an okay experience but our expectations were higher.
4.5/5 stars rounded ups Came highly recommended and didn't disappoint. We've been to other Michelin stars and service was overall good but felt quite rushed. This is also Miami where ppl linger so it felt off. Plus we didn't see our main server David for most of our meal but everyone who rotated in was nice... some more charismatic than others. Did the butchers feast with the Wagyu add on (so worth it!) and everything was good. The Wagyu was so buttery and soft! The egg soufflé is amazing, wish the server told us how to eat all the accoutrements but when we asked we were walked through it. Drinks were solid - old fashioned, the gold standard were nice and boozy and the logo ice was a nice touch. Vibe was good and would go back for that Wagyu and soufflé alone.
What stands out most about COTE Korean Steakhouse is the experience. Incredible service, amazing food, and great vibes all around. I love AYCE Korean BBQ, but having everything cooked perfectly for you hits differently. No leaving smelling like smoke --just enjoying every bite. Definitely somewhere I'd come back to. Drinks: Lychee Martini -- one was plenty for my lightweight self, but so good. Food: We did the tasting menu (highly recommend) with the A5 add-on. The Sendai Wagyu was melt-in-your-mouth perfection. Highlights: ** Oysters with uni to start -- creamy and rich Korean "bacon" (smoked pork belly, pickled jalapeño, Korean mustard) -- fatty goodness; I could've eaten just this Unlimited sides, all delicious (because yes, that matters) Egg soufflé -- perfectly fluffy Tofu soup -- easily could've had five bowls Vanilla soft serve with soy sauce caramel -- unexpected and amazing Bonus: They accommodated for my gluten free friend! Come hungry, leave happy. Definitely a must-try.
I came here for happy hour the other day, since I noticed the bar when I came here the first time for dinner. It's from 5-7pm at the bar as soon as you walk through the doors. There are no chairs, so please note that this is a stand up happy hour. The menu has a great selection of $8.88 cocktails, wine, and bites. There is also a shrimp stuffed chicken sandwich (what?? And yumm!) and the best dessert ever - the famous Cote soft serve. The Casanova's cocktail was beautiful and tasty, and the Korean chicken nuggets are a must get! The sandwich was creative and had nice authentic flavors with pickled vegetables on the side. I highly recommend the bar for a nice happy hour or for a drink before or after your meal!
Usually come to happy hour here which is great but this time we were able to snag a table last minute. I wouldn't recommend this as it's a tough reservation to get last minute but you can always try. Atmosphere is a bit louder than average with music playing. It's lively I always enjoy it. Anyways, we wanted to try a couple cuts of beef and a side so we tried the hangar steak and the filet mignon. They cook for you so you don't have to worry about ruining your steak and you'll get it exactly how you want. The filet was super tender, great quality. And was perfect when cooked rare/med rare since it's so tender. A+ The hangar steak was a big more marbled and thus we opted to have it cooked medium. This steak was also good, with a bit more of an iron/meaty flavor. I'll give it a B. For our side we ordered the COTE Bibimbap which I'd describe like a moist rice with some veggies and an egg mixed in. It was good I'd give it a A-. Great service as you'd expect as well. Great for a special occasion or if you feel like splurging. Enjoy!
Great service, everyone was very warm and friendly. The ones who serve for bbq, they will explain everything on the menu and order. Restaurant isn't very big, seems they can seat no more than 8 people as a party, recommend to make a reservation before you go. Food was incredible, we ordered butcher feast x2. When my wife surprised me for my birthday with a visit to a Michelin star restaurant, I already knew the experience was going to be special. I must admit, however, that I was a bit, unsure about what could possibly make a Korean barbecue restaurant worthy of a Michelin star. After leaving there, I found myself questioning why it only received one star. The meal was in a word perfect. Now I have seen a few reviews that mentioned some issues. I can confidently say that since the time those reviews were written, any of the problems mentioned have been addressed because there was nothing about my dinner experience there that could have been improved upon. Food, quality, presentation, service, and even the vibe of the restaurant contributed to the excellence that permitted the entire evening. No, I would say that this is a far cry from the Korean barbecue restaurant that you would bring your family to but strangely enough there were a number of families here, including small children. And everybody seemed happy. Wanting the ultimate experience we ordered the Omakase. Omakase is something that I have always associated with just sushi so seeing a meat Omakase was pretty excited. And it exceeded any expectations I might've had. Unlike the standard Korean barbecue restaurants, the cooks come over and make sure that every piece of meat is perfectly prepared. I don't know if it was because of my birthday or if it is always part of the Omakase, but they began the service with delicious top shelf, champagne. This was followed by an amouse bouche a fresh golden Uni on top of a Washington state oyster. The oyster was a perfect balance of briney and sweet, in combined well with the rather nuanced taste of the uni. Little did, I know that the perfection of this small bite would be carried on through every part of the meal. A cup of bone broth was brought out to drink. Some upscale Korean restaurants I have eaten at in the past serve bone broth, but it's not something that I had seen locally and I really do enjoy it. The first meat dish we were served was called steak and eggs. This was a unique creation of filet mignon tarte and caviar. The caviar added wonderful texture and a bit of saltiness that made the dish outstanding. This was followed by ample portions of filet mignon, skirt, steak, ribeye, ribeye, Again, I would note that the staff cooked each piece perfectly before placing it on our plates. Next came mushroom and skirt steak. Seasoned with salt it was quite enjoyable. So was the 45 day dry age Ribeye and 45 day dry age Rib eye cap. The Rice cake that followed was tasty, but I must admit was not in the same way as any of the other ingredients. Then came the over the top, premium meats, the American wagyu, Japanese wagyu, and LA galbi American A5 wagyu. An unexpected taste treat was the Japanese A5 in ginchi broth with noodles. Sides included Dehydrated chinrse lettuce stem Okra Kimchi cabbage, Scallion onion salad Egg soufflé After this male okra could become my new favorite vegetable; all of the kimchi varieties were superb, and the egg soufflé was delightful, although filling. I must admit it was too good not to overindulge. I probably would not have ordered dessert because I was so full, but they gave me a birthday dessert as well as some fresh fruit, which was a perfect finish to a perfect meal. Love this place and I do know there are some far less expensive options than the omakase so I do plan to be back. Highly recommended as among Miami's finest. read more

Have been to cote in NY but wanted to check out the Miami location while we were in Florida. This time instead of the butchers feast we got the steak omakase. If you are a meat lover this place is definitely for you. I would say for me, I enjoyed the steak omakase but loved the butchers feast. The service was good, there was definitely someone coming to cook the steak every few minutes, how we didn't end up seeing our original server until the very end of dinner. However we had a great time and really enjoyed our experience. read more
Tonight we had a true Michelin star worthy dining experience in the Miami Design District. I made an rsvp for the hubby's birthday to enjoy a bucket list type dining extravaganza. Cote Miami did themselves proud this evening! They have valet Parking for around $5 at the attached garage. Nice plus! It's a great start. The place is located right on the corner and has a nice modern clean aesthetic inside and out. The entryway is so cool, too. Two lovely friendly hostesses greeted us and made us comfortable. Inside was pretty dark and romantic feeling. There is an excited buzz inside and a super cool looking bar. The clientele is quite varied. Some poshly dressed, some families with children and babies, all there celebrating life! SO many people worked as a team to present an elegant and exciting meal! We chose the top Omakase Wagyu specialty experience and WOW it IS bucket list worthy! Course after course of the world's best meats, prepared at table for you with all the interesting information about who, what, where and how. Timing is perfect and Even the garnishes like luxury caviar enhanced every bite! Only the finest ingredients prepared expertly here. I'm not even much of a meat eater, but this was the very best of the best. Even the unexpected shot of bone broth was special. There were SO many extras also. Perfect high end champagne to start and the wonderful "just right" Birthday dessert to end. Check the pics for a record of this experience. Two hours just flew by. This place is amazing! If you like KBB (Korean BBQ) this needs to be added to your list of places to try and near the top. Place is an experience with everything from the ambience, service, and of course the food. Plenty of options and definitely will go back to try more. Started with a wedge salad which may have been the greatest wedge salad I ever had. Wife and I did the butchers feast which was. Perfect sampling of meats and was more than enough food. All in all, will definitely be going back anytime we are in Miami. read more

Cote continues to be one of my favorite happy hour spots, and this visit was no exception. We ordered the chicken sandwich, lobster and shrimp fritters, chicken nuggets, and the Mynt cocktail, which is their take on an Old Fashioned. The Mynt is spectacular and has become my go-to drink every time I visit. The chicken nuggets remain one of the most reliable items on the menu. Crispy, flavorful, and impossible to regret ordering. This was my first time trying the lobster and shrimp fritters, and they absolutely delivered. They were packed with flavor and disappeared from the plate quickly. The biggest surprise was the chicken sandwich - first time ordering it. Wow. It came out piping hot from the kitchen, so definitely give it a minute to cool down before diving in. I added some of the sauce that comes with the chicken nuggets for an extra kick, and it took the sandwich to another level. Pickled veggies and cabbage on the side are also fantastic. The vibe is always one of the highlights at Cote. Great music, energy, and an overall fun atmosphere at the bar without feeling overwhelming. Service was excellent as well. Special shoutout to our bartender, Vlad, who took great care of us throughout the evening. Good food, great drinks, good vibes, and excellent service. What more can you ask for? Great food and service! Our 1st time here and was lunch super delicious! We had the wedge salad which is the best we've had and would def come back just for it. Then we did the Butchers Feast for $82pp and it very yummy, the chefs choice of 4 meats were on point and all the sides were delicious and more than enough for us both! The service was great, they explained the meats background and grilled for us, everyone was super helpful and kind. We will def be back read more

Not as good as Nubiani in NYC, and more catered for the Miami party scene. Banchan selection was mediocre; the green onion side dish was smothered in a thick, sweet sauce that my korean boyfriend said reminded him of Panda Express orange chicken, but for kbbq. Butcher's Feast for two was $200 after mandatory 20% gratuity. Overall did not blow us away and was honestly subpar in terms of meat quality and side dish variety. Service was just OK. There was a whole menu with a lot of pages dedicated to cocktails and drinks, which are made at the bar in the center of the restaurant. It's dark and clubby inside. Definitely prefer other alacarte korean bbq places over COTE. This experience was not enticing enough for us to try their other locations unfortunately. read more

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! It's a no brainer as to why this place has 4.5/5 stars, completely well-deserved! So, I've been meaning to check this place out for a little while now and haven't gotten around to it. And, honestly all I have to ask myself is what was wrong with me? I should've come by sooner. I came for Happy Hour and I stayed well past that. This place may have just become my go-to for after-work gettys! Here is the rundown: Location and Parking- Conveniently located in a great corner spot that you can't miss with plenty of parking with street parking, garage parking right around the corner, and valet options down the street on the same side. Ambiance- Immaculate from the moment you enter, a doorman opens it for you. Then you're greeted by the hostess table to the right. If you're just entering for Happy Hour, you can just go straight to the bar, but otherwise, you definitely need a reservation especially if you plan on staying for dinner. $8.88 Happy Hour Drinks- Love the price #1, it's considered a lucky number in Asian culture (fun fact). But anywho, the drinks were great! $8.88 Happy Hour Appetizers- Tried one of each, four in total. They were all good, but my favorite would have to be between the crispy chicken nuggets (korean style) and the lobster bites. Staff- Major kudos to Oli (head bartender) and Vlad, they were so accommodating, friendly and just a phenomenal representation of Cote. Cote is lucky to have them! Not to mention, the rest of the staff were super friendly as well. I think it goes without saying that no matter how good the food and drinks are, it's nothing without the staff. The staff is what creates the experiences and moments. Hospitality 101! I'll be back for Happy Hour then stay for dinner, time to book a reservation! read more

Dining at COTE was a phenomenal experience. My wife and I visited for dinner a couple weeks ago. Upon arriving we were directed to a central standing bar area while our table was being prepared (we did have reservations). While we waited, we had a couple of cocktails. I had the Gold Standard and my wife had the Velvet Ember. The Gold Standard was fantastic with a honey sweetness, tangy lemon and rich bourbon. Once seated our server recommended an a la cart approach to the Butcher's Feast which included four different types of steaks and a variety of sides. We had the NY Strip, Filet Mignon, COTE Galbi and a Japanese A5 Wagyu. Even though this is a Korean BBQ restaurant and the grills were at the table, the servers cook the food for you in order to have the steaks grilled to your liking. All of the steaks were super juicy, perfectly medium rare with a hint of salt. The Japanese Wagyu was definitely worth the upcharge and literally caramelized as you ate it exploding with rich beefy flavor. The sides of Scallion Salad, Red Leaf Lettuce, Egg Souffle, and Kimchi were all delicious and paired well with the steak. We also added a side of the Kimchi Wagyu "Paella". This dish had rich savory rice and diced tender steak. Finally, at the end of the meal, we were served a creamy and sweet Vanilla Soft Serve. Overall, dining at COTE was a memorable experience and I highly recommend a visit. read more

It's worth the hype! If it's your first time, I think the best way to go is with the Butcher's Feast at $78 per person. It comes with 4-5 different cuts of meat and various Korean sides. All meats are cooked to perfection (you don't cook yourself) and I don't have a favorite because they're all delicious. My favorite side dish is the seaweed salad. This restaurant is significantly overpriced for the experience it delivers. Our party of three all participated in the Butcher's Feast menu, and the total bill came to well over $400. For that price point, we expected a much higher level of quality and service. While some of the meat was flavorful, many of the cuts were excessively fatty to the point that we left a significant portion of them uneaten. When you're paying premium prices at a restaurant of this caliber, you expect well-balanced, high-quality cuts--not plates filled with more fat than meat. The sides were even more disappointing and, in some cases, downright unappetizing. In fact, the best side we had was the white rice--and it wasn't even fresh, which says a lot about the overall quality. The drinks were also overpriced and ultimately forgettable. Even dessert was disappointing. A simple cup of vanilla ice cream felt unimaginative and underwhelming, especially considering the cost of the overall dining experience. For a restaurant positioning itself as a high-end destination, the meal lacked the creativity and refinement one would expect. Unfortunately, the service did little to improve the experience. Our waiter, Geraldo, appeared visibly annoyed whenever we asked questions about the menu and seemed frustrated that we weren't interested in ordering excessive amounts of alcohol at what is supposed to be a fine-dining establishment. Overall, this was a disappointing experience, and I will not be returning. I'm not sure what qualifies a restaurant for a Michelin star, but based on this visit, this certainly did not feel deserving of that distinction. Between the excessively fatty meat selections, mediocre sides, overpriced drinks, uninspired dessert, and poor service, the experience simply did not justify the price. Hard pass on COTE. read more

Cote Miami is better than the NYC location that I have been to. The service, vibes, and the food are all top notch. My girlfriend and I ordered the butchers feast and we had a few cocktails. The service was great and our server cooked the meat to perfection. I highly recommend going here... but remember that it will likely ruin KBBQ for you since it's such an amazing experience with meats that are full of marbling. I recommend making a reservation and ordering the butchers feast if it is your first time. read more

Absolutely unreal. The service was amazing, everyone wanted to help and they were all so nice. The meat was such good quality, and the sides were such a nice addition! The short rib literally tasted like dessert, best steak I've ever had. It was cool, dark, and lively. Highly recommend!! read more
Great Energy and Great Experience. I stopped by COTE on a Monday for lunch. The restaurant was not very busy and was able to accommodate my party of 3 as a walk-in. The restaurant was clean and had ample seating. The staff were friendly and accommodating. They explained every aspect of the menu from the different sections to the food options. In terms of the food, it was very flavorful and well portioned. I would recommend trying as many items as possible. Overall COTE is a must try experience. read more

I usually don't like non-marinated meats, but the cuts of meat here were so juicy and flavorful I didn't even notice they weren't marinated! The side dishes provided were amazing and they offered a bigger variety than most upscale Korean BBQ restaurants. -- SERVICE -- Our server was super helpful when recommending his favorite cuts on the menu and guiding on how much meat we should order for 2 people and best drink pairings for our meal. He grilled all of the meat to perfection, and cut all pieces into bite sized morsels! -- AMBIANCE -- Absolutely beautiful interior from the entranceway to the bathrooms. I have been to Cote several times but this is my first time reviewing. We usually always have exceptional service at the bar and table, this last visit, however, the sommelier was not on point. I ordered a glass of the Billecart-Salmon Brut and was poured, however I was not offered a taste. Also - there were very minimal bubbles (flat) & tasted subpar leading me to believe the bottle had been open for a while. I told the bartender the champagne was not acceptable and she asked me if I was given a taste and I was not offered one. We were then seated and the same sommelier appeared with a fresh bottle, gave me a considerably smaller pour and when I inquired about the tasting, she said that the champagne was preserved by coravin and therefore did not require a taste?? Clearly this bottle was fresh, however, had I been given the opportunity to taste the first glass we would have avoided the awkward, awful 2nd encounter. On to the food - always delicious - we always get the Butcher's Feast which is more food than you could possibly eat. Love the ambience - unfortunately the sommelier started the evening off on the wrong foot for an establishment that usually exceeds expectations. read more

Miami Spice and everything nice! So glad to have caught the lunch offering during Miami Spice. This is the only time they offer their fried chicken on the menu and it is divine. That and the truffle shrimp salad! I thoroughly enjoyed them both. We also had the Korean short rib on the grill with all the sides. It was good. Def not anything crazy. To end things off, that spy vanilla soft serve was delish! The wait staff was very attentive and on top of Things. I wish other establishments mimicked that. Also, it was packed on a Friday afternoon. So definitely a hot reservation. Place was beautiful. Glad to have. read more

Pretty good! I suggest the easy and affordable palm court garage, it's a short walk. They also have valet throughout the area or street parking. One of the better parking locations in Miami.

They replenish without additional charge. The service at this restaurant is one of the best, if not the best I have experienced in Florida in the 21 years I've resided here.
Are all of the beef cuts for the BBQ, dry aged?
Everything is dry aged USDA Prime--top 5% of American cattle--or above, and American Wagyu (a crossbreed of Japanese Wagyu and American Black Angus). Website has a guide explaining each piece.
Is a reservation required?
Yes, via OpenTable. They go reallyyyy fast so its hard to get but totally worth it!
