The portions were filling, so we left satisfied. Our server was knowledgeable, attentive, and helped make the experience even better. While the food is on the pricey side, the quality and overall experience made it well worth the cost. The seasoning on the meat was done fresh before being grilled, it was inconsistent and sometimes too salty, especially paired with the ssamjang Aged rib-eye was the least impressive for me, the flavor tasted like my meat was browning, and it wasn't very tender. It had too much fat on it. Flatiron was decently good, and the marinated short rib was way too sweet. Hanger steak was my favorite among all of them. Not sure if the Cote Miami location has a Michelin star like it's NYC location. Our experience here didn't meet my expectations for a Michelin restaurant. At most Korean BBQ, the server cooks the meat and we were told they would do the cooking. However, at the end our server disappeared and our kalbi was a bit burnt. To the maitre credit, he saw that, took it off the grill and asked if it was okay. We said it was okay not wanting to be a pain but meat was a bit overdone. I mentioned it at the end and our maitre did take some side dishes off our bill. We had also ordered the waygu addition but our waiter must have forgot. This turned out fine because we were all full at the end. I do want to say that the sides served here was really good. The meat was good but I can't say it was the best I've ever had. Perhaps the waygu would have changed my mind. We had a group of nine people and in order to sit us all together without the private dining, they added a 5% admin fee. Let me tell you about the time I got Michelin-starred food with a side of contempt, served in a room that looked like someone raided a mid-century furniture catalog and called it a personality. We walked in expecting -- I don't know, magic? Fire? Something that justifies the little star sticker they slap on the door like a gold medal in a participation trophy ceremony. What we got instead was a server who greeted the men at our table with all the warmth of a TSA agent who's had a long day and hates you personally. Nothing says "world-class hospitality" like being made to feel like an inconvenience the second you sit down. The room, fine, I'll give them that -- moody lighting, sleek lines, the whole seen-and-be-seen Miami thing working overtime. But atmosphere is what you build around the food, not instead of it. And the food here was the culinary equivalent of a shrug. Competent. Forgettable. The kind of "fine dining" that tastes like it was assembled by committee, everything technically correct and emotionally dead on arrival. And the Korean banchan -- look, I've eaten enough real Korean food in enough real kitchens to know when something's cosplaying as authentic. This wasn't it. It was banchan filtered through a steakhouse consultant's PowerPoint deck, all the identity sanded off to make it palatable to a room full of people expense-accounting their dinner. Which brings me to the check. Because nothing stings quite like paying premium prices for a meal that made you feel like a rounding error. You want to charge me like I'm getting the meal of a lifetime, you'd better deliver the meal of a lifetime. Instead I got mediocrity with a side of attitude, and a bill that suggested otherwise. 12/10 experience! We had a seamless lunch here, starting with the super convenient valet right outside. The staff was incredibly welcoming & had no problem accommodating our stroller. Plus, as a parent, I was so impressed to find a changing table in the bathroom, not always a guarantee at a Michelin star spot! For a Korean BBQ restaurant, the ventilation is amazing. I would be the first to say I am not necessarily a steak connoisseur, but I absolutely loved every bite we had here! We went with the Butcher's Feast, and each cut of steak was absolutely delicious. We also got the Wagyu add-on for a bit of an extra charge, and honestly I would say it is worth it. I loved how you could completely customize each and every bite. All of the steak was soooo flavorful, and all of the vegetables were crunchy and flavorful. One of my favorite parts of the meal was also watching them cook the steak for us right at our table. Just tell them what kind of cook you want on your steak, and they will take care of the rest. As far as the approachability of this restaurant, I found it very welcoming and a really great hospitality team. Having never tried a Michelin Star restaurant before, I was worried I would be out of my element but I felt very comfortable here. They tell you how to make your bites of vegetables and recommend different flavor combinations to try. Cote continues to be one of my favorite happy hour spots, and this visit was no exception. We ordered the chicken sandwich, lobster and shrimp fritters, chicken nuggets, and the Mynt cocktail, which is their take on an Old Fashioned. The Mynt is spectacular and has become my go-to drink every time I visit. The chicken nuggets remain one of the most reliable items on the menu. Crispy, flavorful, and impossible to regret ordering. This was my first time trying the lobster and shrimp fritters, and they absolutely delivered. They were packed with flavor and disappeared from the plate quickly. The biggest surprise was the chicken sandwich - first time ordering it. Wow. It came out piping hot from the kitchen, so definitely give it a minute to cool down before diving in. I added some of the sauce that comes with the chicken nuggets for an extra kick, and it took the sandwich to another level. Pickled veggies and cabbage on the side are also fantastic. The vibe is always one of the highlights at Cote. Great music, energy, and an overall fun atmosphere at the bar without feeling overwhelming. Service was excellent as well. Dining at COTE was a phenomenal experience. My wife and I visited for dinner a couple weeks ago. Upon arriving we were directed to a central standing bar area while our table was being prepared (we did have reservations). While we waited, we had a couple of cocktails. I had the Gold Standard and my wife had the Velvet Ember. The Gold Standard was fantastic with a honey sweetness, tangy lemon and rich bourbon. Once seated our server recommended an a la cart approach to the Butcher's Feast which included four different types of steaks and a variety of sides. We had the NY Strip, Filet Mignon, COTE Galbi and a Japanese A5 Wagyu. Even though this is a Korean BBQ restaurant and the grills were at the table, the servers cook the food for you in order to have the steaks grilled to your liking. All of the steaks were super juicy, perfectly medium rare with a hint of salt. The Japanese Wagyu was definitely worth the upcharge and literally caramelized as you ate it exploding with rich beefy flavor. The sides of Scallion Salad, Red Leaf Lettuce, Egg Souffle, and Kimchi were all delicious and paired well with the steak. We also added a side of the Kimchi Wagyu "Paella". This dish had rich savory rice and diced tender steak. Finally, at the end of the meal, we were served a creamy and sweet Vanilla Soft Serve. I came here for happy hour the other day, since I noticed the bar when I came here the first time for dinner. It's from 5-7pm at the bar as soon as you walk through the doors. There are no chairs, so please note that this is a stand up happy hour. The menu has a great selection of $8.88 cocktails, wine, and bites. There is also a shrimp stuffed chicken sandwich (what?? And yumm!) and the best dessert ever - the famous Cote soft serve. The Casanova's cocktail was beautiful and tasty, and the Korean chicken nuggets are a must get! This restaurant is significantly overpriced for the experience it delivers. Our party of three all participated in the Butcher's Feast menu, and the total bill came to well over $400. For that price point, we expected a much higher level of quality and service. While some of the meat was flavorful, many of the cuts were excessively fatty to the point that we left a significant portion of them uneaten. When you're paying premium prices at a restaurant of this caliber, you expect well-balanced, high-quality cuts--not plates filled with more fat than meat. The sides were even more disappointing and, in some cases, downright unappetizing. In fact, the best side we had was the white rice--and it wasn't even fresh, which says a lot about the overall quality. The drinks were also overpriced and ultimately forgettable. Even dessert was disappointing. A simple cup of vanilla ice cream felt unimaginative and underwhelming, especially considering the cost of the overall dining experience. For a restaurant positioning itself as a high-end destination, the meal lacked the creativity and refinement one would expect. Unfortunately, the service did little to improve the experience. Our waiter, Geraldo, appeared visibly annoyed whenever we asked questions about the menu and seemed frustrated that we weren't interested in ordering excessive amounts of alcohol at what is supposed to be a fine-dining establishment. Overall, this was a disappointing experience, and I will not be returning. I'm not sure what qualifies a restaurant for a Michelin star, but based on this visit, this certainly did not feel deserving of that distinction. Usually come to happy hour here which is great but this time we were able to snag a table last minute. I wouldn't recommend this as it's a tough reservation to get last minute but you can always try. Atmosphere is a bit louder than average with music playing. It's lively I always enjoy it. Anyways, we wanted to try a couple cuts of beef and a side so we tried the hangar steak and the filet mignon. They cook for you so you don't have to worry about ruining your steak and you'll get it exactly how you want. The filet was super tender, great quality. And was perfect when cooked rare/med rare since it's so tender. A+ The hangar steak was a big more marbled and thus we opted to have it cooked medium. This steak was also good, with a bit more of an iron/meaty flavor. I'll give it a B. For our side we ordered the COTE Bibimbap which I'd describe like a moist rice with some veggies and an egg mixed in. It was good I'd give it a A-. Great service as you'd expect as well. Banchan selection was mediocre; the green onion side dish was smothered in a thick, sweet sauce that my korean boyfriend said reminded him of Panda Express orange chicken, but for kbbq. Butcher's Feast for two was $200 after mandatory 20% gratuity. Overall did not blow us away and was honestly subpar in terms of meat quality and side dish variety. Service was just OK. There was a whole menu with a lot of pages dedicated to cocktails and drinks, which are made at the bar in the center of the restaurant. It's dark and clubby inside. But anywho, the drinks were great! $8.88 Happy Hour Appetizers- Tried one of each, four in total. They were all good, but my favorite would have to be between the crispy chicken nuggets (korean style) and the lobster bites. Staff- Major kudos to Oli (head bartender) and Vlad, they were so accommodating, friendly and just a phenomenal representation of Cote. Cote is lucky to have them! It's worth the hype! If it's your first time, I think the best way to go is with the Butcher's Feast at $78 per person. It comes with 4-5 different cuts of meat and various Korean sides. What a great experience. This place has one Michelin star and well deserved. The food was exceptional. The drinks were so good and refreshing and the service truly top notch. Thank you Julio for making our first time experience there one of kind. He was great at suggesting dishes and combos and was super entertaining. I have been to Cote several times but this is my first time reviewing. We usually always have exceptional service at the bar and table, this last visit, however, the sommelier was not on point. I ordered a glass of the Billecart-Salmon Brut and was poured, however I was not offered a taste. Also - there were very minimal bubbles (flat) & tasted subpar leading me to believe the bottle had been open for a while. I told the bartender the champagne was not acceptable and she asked me if I was given a taste and I was not offered one. We were then seated and the same sommelier appeared with a fresh bottle, gave me a considerably smaller pour and when I inquired about the tasting, she said that the champagne was preserved by coravin and therefore did not require a taste?? Clearly this bottle was fresh, however, had I been given the opportunity to taste the first glass we would have avoided the awkward, awful 2nd encounter. On to the food - always delicious - we always get the Butcher's Feast which is more food than you could possibly eat. I can always count on a great meal with all the flavors that I love and crave when I think of Korean barbecue. This place is popular though, Miami traffic is no joke, we were 15 min late and they gave our table away. Understandable, I guess? I have mixed feelings about this. Came here for dinner last night with a group of 10, and had a great time. The restaurant has a really cool vibe, with a great bar area you can grab a drink at while you wait for your table. We had a private room (which I highly recommend for a large party) set up in the back of the restaurant. Service was fantastic here, everyone from our host to our servers were so friendly and attentive, making for such a welcoming and fun experience. We had a pre fixed menu that included a variety of steaks and appetizers, including a wedge salad and seafood tower. The meat was excellent, the filet mignon and Japanese A5 wagyu were my standout favorites. I think I would've skipped the paella if it didn't come with the menu, as it was a bit too rich for me (not a paella guy in general). I also wish they were a bit more generous with the side dishes, especially the kimchi. Overall this was a really great experience that was made memorable by the service and the quality of meat. Quality meat cooked for you to your liking right at your table, it's truly a unique and spectacular experience. If it's your first time I recommend getting the butchers feast, it's both a good sample of their meats AND won't break the bank compared to other menu experiences. For a restaurant at this price point, I expected a high-end experience, but COTE fell short in almost every category. Our party of three opted for the Butcher's Feast, and at over $400, the quality and service were simply not there. Many of the meat cuts were excessively fatty and essentially inedible, leaving us to leave a significant portion of the meal untouched. The sides were equally disappointing--the best thing we were served was white rice, and it wasn't even fresh. Even dessert was an afterthought: a basic, unimaginative cup of vanilla ice cream. Our server, Gerardo, was consistently inattentive. We had to ask him multiple times for simple items like a napkin, and when we requested more sides, he dismissed us by saying the kitchen was "busy" rather than accommodating the request. He appeared visibly annoyed by our questions and frustrated that we weren't interested in over-ordering alcohol. Between the poor quality of the meat, mediocre sides, overpriced drinks, and lackluster service, the experience did not justify the cost. For a restaurant with this reputation, it was a massive disappointment and definitely not a place I will be returning to. Hard pass. read more

I work at The Moore across the street and do not pop in often enough!! Was greeted with a smile by the gentleman at the door. They 3 host were super friendly everyone directed us straight to the bar. We got really lucky being able to squeeze in. For food we got the pork belly, the kimchi rice, and the chicken bites. Everything came out piping hot and quick ! The pork belly were amazing !! I am still craving them. My friends loved the rice it was devoured. The cocktails were perfectly balanced and the bartenders were patient with us! The restaurant itself is very hushed and eclectic. The service was generally attentive although our server was a bit too overzealous for our dinning occasion and somewhat unprofessional. As for our food, we ordered the butcher's feast ($74 per person) with the addition of A5 Wagyu (+32). I really enjoyed the meat, but it felt like what you would expect for the price. As for the sides, the stews were very tasty, the kimchi is great, the pickled radish was also really good. Apart from that, nothing else was very memorable. The mushroom and rice cake felt very bland. The soft serve was a great way to finish our meal, it came with a very tasty caramel sauce. You will definitely enjoy your food, but given the price and the expectation for a Michelin restaurant I don't think it lives up to the expectation. read more

Came for the first day of Miami spice with a few friends. Overall we loved the friendly and quick service. I ordered the steak tartare and fried chicken. I think there could have been a bit more seasoning in the tartar especially being that the crispy chip didn't have flavor. Maybe one or the other! It was great that they asked for feedback at the end of our meal cuz they wanted to get it right for their 2 months of Miami spice. I appreciate when restaurants care to hear from their customers and try to implement changes to make our experience better. The restaurant itself is fun and funky at the entryway with the mirror and once you walk in it feels so luxurious, calm and sexy. We are definitely coming back to try the butchers special. read more

Cote is a fine korean restaurant. They have been carrying a Michelin star for a reason. Nice place, valet at the door that cost only $ 5.00. Attentive and courteous staff.
