We started our night with a Spanish Ribeira Sacra White Wine which for my liking it wasn't chilled enough so I asked the lady to please put it on ice & sprinkle salt for 20 mins. It was perfectly cold afterwards. For our appetizers: * The B.I.G. Meatball was made to perfection and eat bite was melting in your mouth. Shaved Pecorino on top was a cherry on top ! * Crispy Arancini was a little bland on the inside, black truffle was still missing a little. All in all, excellent crispiness on the outside but majorly lacking in flavor. * Truffle Burrata was definitely our favorite appetizer of the night! Sweet and salty combination plus truffle makes everything so much better! Must order! For our mains: * Bone Marrow Cappelletti is a must order! Wish it had a little more bone marrow to it but dish was to die for! * Linguini & Clams loved it! Needs a little more of the lemon kick it to but clams were perfectly cooked which is highly important because nobody wants an overcooked shell dish. * Grilled Brazino definitely melted with each bite. Must order! You don't even have to chew to say the least! For our desserts: * Assorted gelato/sorbet. For gelato we picked Pistachio (do not order - way too sweet barely pistachio flavor to it * a recommended pistachio gelato is definitely at Forte dei Marmi), Coffee (must order; if after dinner you're going elsewhere it will wake you up for sure!) & Coconut sorbet was to die for! Must order - reminded me of Phuket! * Sparrow Hazelnut Rocher MUST ORDER. Every single spoon was divine! If you're a chocolate lover; it is a must have! * Pistachio Tiramisu not impressed to say the least but then again their gelato lacks majorly! * Panna Cotta was infused with Coconut topped with toasted coconut and Pineapple. Overall, I am glad I checked out Sparrow Italia, but I probably will not be returning. The ambiance definitely gives off a great date night vibe. We walked in for our reservation and had to wait about 10 to 15 minutes because our table was occupied. Not a big deal at all, but worth noting. The seating was a disappointment. We were placed in the back next to the bar, somewhat isolated and just overlooking the rest of the room. A major reason I wanted to visit was to see the live band, but we could not see the performance from our table at all, and the speakers were uncomfortably close to us. The food was a mixed bag but had some serious highlights. We started with the Wagyu carpaccio. I appreciated the experience of trying new flavors, and while I personally did not enjoy it, my partner did. The massive meatball was awesome. The steak was a 10 out of 10 with incredible flavor and a perfect crust, and the potatoes were exactly as crispy as advertised. We also ordered the spicy rigatoni. It was a bit too spicy for my taste, though I cannot really complain since the warning is literally in the name. Service started off decent, but went downhill after the first 30 minutes. The food took a very long time to arrive, and the waitress allowed my water glass to sit empty. Overall, the experience at this restaurant was good, but unfortunately a lack of attention to detail left me with mixed feelings by the end of the night. The place itself is beautiful and the ambiance is fantastic. The food was also delicious and clearly well prepared. Up until the middle of the meal, everything was going very well. The issue came when I ordered a bottle of wine. I specifically ordered a bottle of white wine from Italy -- from Piedmont, to be more precise -- but when the waiter brought the bottle to the table I noticed I was being served prosecco instead. Completely different: sweet, sparkling, and nothing like the still white wine I had originally ordered. I pointed it out and she immediately took it back, which I appreciated. However, when she returned with the replacement bottle, it was once again the wrong wine. At that point we were already midway through our meal and I didn't want to create a scene or slow things down further, so I let it go. In hindsight, what would have been helpful is if the waiter had simply brought the wine list back and asked me to confirm the bottle I originally ordered. That never happened. Later I realized that the bottle we were served was actually about $100 more expensive than the one I had chosen. I didn't complain when we paid the bill, but the situation left me feeling a bit uncomfortable afterward. It may have been an honest mistake, but it's also the kind of thing that can come across as careless -- or worse, questionable -- from a guest's perspective. We came to Sparrow for an anniversary dinner. We were very excited and were immediately greeted as we walked inside. We had reservations but they said that the table was not ready so they took us to the bar to wait in the meantime. The bartender was great and gave great recommendations. We made most of it and had a drink as we waited. After almost 20 minutes our table was not ready and mind you that was with a reservation. I went towards the hostess and she said that she would come once the table was ready. I will say this really deterred our experience and hindsight this almost felt like a tactic to purposely direct you to the bar and hold you there until you're eventually led to the table as I noted they did the same thing to the rest of the people that came in after us. We were about to leave and finally after about 40 minutes waiting, we were taken to our table. Our waiter was extremely nice and gave us great recommendations and went with the Spicy Rigatoni and got a bottle of wine. The food was phenomenal and we got lucky because that night there was a cool jazz singer/performer even though it was a night they were not supposed to be there. One thing to note is that they do not have a performer every night, so if that's something you want make sure to check the schedule. Very middle-of-the-road for me. I dined here in November 2025 on a Sunday evening. For starters, the ambience is wonderful. The restaurant is very dimly lit and has a very romantic/sexy vibe. The "theme" is hip-hop so there was R&B/hip-hop music playing in the background which was great. Towards the end of the night, there was also a lounge singer and guitarist (or bassist, can't remember) and they performed some R&B classics. As for the food, it was less memorable than the vibes. The appetizers left much to be desired. I know this is more of an Italian fusion/steakhouse but Italian restaurants generally have very good appetizer options - this place did not. I believe there were two raw/crudo seafood options, there was a beef carpaccio option, and I think also an arancini. Where was the fried calamari option?! What about the fried zucchini?! I feel like any Italian restaurant worth their salt has to have one or the other if not both. Since there was no calamari or zucchini, I opted for the beef carpaccio, and honestly, it wasn't great. It was under salted, and the only real flavor profile was the truffle. Ask where the main dishes, there were two seafood pasta options. When we were seated, I was informed that the whole lobster option was unavailable, so I attempted to order the other seafood option, which was a lobster and shrimp or calamari pasta. (I cannot remember exactly which seafood was in the pasta dish.) After ordering the waiter came back and let me know that this dish was also unavailable. I wound up ordering the beef cheek pasta dish, which was OK. It's served on a plate with a thick layer of a melted sharp cheese. Not my favorite, but if you really like cheese and beef, try it. Missed the Mark! :-/ Visited Sparrow for a 2nd time and didn't quite have the same experience. This time, I came with my partner for date night. We started by orderring a specialty cocktail each and we shared an appetizer. The drinks were not impressive. So much so that I choose a glass of wine for our second round and my partner asked for a basic vodka tonic. My main, the Cacio e pepe, was overly salty and the prawns were sadly overcooked to a mushy texture. The overall ambiance and vibes were nice. The live vocalist sang quite well. Amazing dining experience at Sparrow Italia in Wynwood. From the ambiance to the service to the food, everything about Sparrow is a total vibe. Although it is an Italian Steakhouse, this trip we opted for all seafood, so a second visit is in store for the full steakhouse experience. All of the pastas are homemade and you can taste the difference from boxed premade pasta. The pasta sauce on the Lobster Linguine was absolutely delicious. It was like a spicy vodka sauce but better. The grilled octopus was cooked perfectly and paired with a red pepper puree and potatoes that we couldn't get enough of. It was fresh and smoky and not at all fishy. It was amazing. The prawns were seasoned and cooked perfectly just the same. The texture and taste did not disappoint on but and also, they were HUGE. Largest prawns I've ever seen/eaten. The Sparrow Chop is top 3 favorite salads of all time. It's an explosion of flavor, with pickled onions and crispy kale and crunchy pistachios; I took home the leftovers it was so good. Sweet, tart, fresh, honestly everything I look for in a salad. The drinks were also top tier. I had the "If I Ruled The World" and my friend had the Negroni. Both drinks were delicious and paired really well with our meal. For dessert we had the chocolate mousse, which was like a Ferrero Rocher ball with a delicious mousse center. I'm not a big dessert person and this was the perfect way to close out the experience. Art was a fantastic host and server. He made sure we were well informed on the items we ordered and catered to our every wish. From the moment we walked in we were greeted nicely and walked to our seats. We came with a party of 8 for a friend's birthday. The place itself is gorgeous, from the seats, to the chandeliers, everything about this place looks luxury. The waiters are on top of refilling drinks and the food would come out at perfect timing. The dish that completely stole my heart was the Chicken Parmesan. I saw it come out to another table and couldn't resist ordering it to go. It ended up being my absolute favorite! For apps, we started with the eggplant rollatini, and ahi tuna tartare. For me, the eggplant lacked flavor, I only tasted toasted breadcrumbs, not my favorite plate. The ahi tuna tartare on the other hand was absolutely delicious. For my entree, I ordered the spicy vodka rigatoni pasta and it was so so good I brought the leftovers home (no good food left behind!) It appears they used very mediocre truffles, you can see the truffle shaving but lacked any truffle aroma or taste. We also had the Bone Marrow Cappelletti this dish is very impressive. The reason I cannot give it 5 stars is because the entrees all came at different times, to the point that three people in my party who ordered the same dish (linguini and clams) received them at entirely different times; by the time one had finished, the other was halfway done, and the other had just received her plate. I also think some entrees are overpriced considering portion size and what they offer; I was not blown away. I'd also skip dessert, we had the pistachio tiramisu and a chocolate ball of some kind (better to get ice cream across the street). The appetizers, on the other hand, were truly worth every penny: tuna tartare and beef carpaccio, I highly recommend as we practically licked the plate clean. Overall, part of the price you are paying is clearly the vibe and live music, which again, were amazing. This review is a bit late since I visited Sparrow Italia a couple of months ago, but the experience left such an impression that I haven't stopped thinking about it since. The venue is sleek, sexy, and dimly lit. The service was so spectacular that I felt like I was somewhere other than Miami and was shocked to learn our server was a native. The live music was so good that our minds were blown, and that's all before we tasted even a bite of food... We began our journey with cocktails. I had the FLASHY WAYS which was delicious and not too sweet. For our appetizers, we shared the CRISPY ARANCINI, and the SPARROW CHOP SALAD. Both were excellent, but the salad was so good it made me want to cry. I don't think I've ever had a salad that good in my entire life. Four our entrees, we shared the MIKEY'S SPICY RIGATONI ALLA VODKA and the A5 WAGYU MEATBALL PIZZA. Again, both were excellent. The sauce on the rigatoni was absolute perfection. For dessert, we ordered the SPARROW HAZELNUT ROCHER. When it arrived at our table I was very impressed with how pretty it looked, just like a giant Ferrero Rocher. Never did I imagine that the flavor would impress me as much as it did. I felt like I'd died and gone to heaven. I'm a big fan of Ferrero Rocher chocolates, but Sparrow has somehow managed to improve upon the original. The vibes were everything at this place. Very nice decor and ambiance. The menu options were plentiful and everything looked good to try. I wasn't necessarily blown away with the food overall but it wasn't bad. The truffle carpaccio was the highlight; so good! The staff was very nice and accommodating. We went with our two boys and they did the best they could. We ordered basic pizza for them and they also offered pasta; no kids menus and no high chairs. After 8pm or so it's 21 and over which is when live music started so we couldn't stay. Not sure if we would go back but if we do for sure without the kiddos. read more

Sparrow is worth the hype! I came here with a friend for girls night/celebrating my belated birthday and I was very pleasantly surprised with how delicious everything was. To start, we ordered Hypnotize Me, a mezcal-based drink that was smoky and had a beautiful presentation. It was so good I still think about it to this day. We also ordered the oysters, which had a nice presentation made with dry ice. For our meals we ordered the famous spicy rigatoni and the bone marrow cappelletti. Both plates were delicious! The bone marrow cappelletti was unique and, in my opinion, the star of the show. Stunning! Finally we finished our meal with the hazelnut rocher which was decadent in taste! Definitely a dessert worth sharing. The service was great and we loved the live music. I really enjoyed that the singer went table to table since ur back was turned to the stage.
