This place was honestly such a great surprise. I'll keep it short because everything, without exception, was just really good. The space is intimate and elegant, perfect for a date night. It has that cozy vibe but still feels a bit upscale without being too much. The food was delicious, and there are plenty of options on the menu. I'm not even going to mention specific dishes because everything we tried was great, so you really can't go wrong ordering whatever catches your eye. They also have a weekday fixed menu that's excellent and honestly hard to beat for the price. Drinks were good overall, and the wine list is solid, though a bit on the expensive side. Service was outstanding and really elevated the whole experience. Overall, it's a fantastic spot and definitely worth checking out. Definitely one of my Miami's favorites.

Wow! This place is a hidden gem and I can't believe it took me so long to check it out! I visited on a Thursday for lunch time with friends. It also happened to be Miami Spice which was a plus! I ordered the artichoke appetizer, rigatoni alla bolognese, and the tiramisu. Everything I had was great! I think my favorite was the dessert and the rigatoni! The staff was super friendly and came to clean up and give us new cutlery and dishes after each course. The inside is very cozy with plenty of seating. It does get super busy for lunch so keep that in mind when dropping by! I can't wait to come back!

Nice little Italian hidden gem on Brickell Ave. Had dinner at Mamo on a Friday night and the restaurant was packed but it still had a nice romantic ambiance. The food was delicious. We had the Margherita pizza, Rigatoni Amatriciana without the bacon, and the Capelli d'angelo, gamberi pistacchi. All were cooked to perfection and very flavor. The service was great and very attentive. I loved that they give you a jar of gummies with the check. That was unique.

Amazing service. Really reasonable lunch specials. Food was fantastic also. Had a 3 course pre fix lunch with the artichokes, cacio e Pepe and the tiramisu. All was amazing. Also - I'm newly pregnant and the mocktail scene can be so weak, their phony Negroni was AMAZING. I was so impressed

Had a delicious meal here for date night. We combined one prixe fixe dinner where we ordered the seared tuna, cacio pepe, steak, and tiramisu and we added the gnocchi as well. It was all delicious and a ton of food. We started the meal with some complimentary bread, eggplant spread, and prosciutto. The service was attentive even though we chose to sit outside and no one else was outside. The cacio pepe was one of the best I've had (maybe the best I've had stateside) and the steak was cooked perfectly. The tiramisu was decadent and creamy, it was probably large enough to share with four people.

We were sat immediately upon arrival. Service was quick. Bread was good. Food came out pretty quickly as well. I will say that I wouldn't come here for a date night. I came in the evening with my friend and we pretty much had to shout to hear each other. It was also really dark, there was a singular tiny candle on the table which did nothing. I had to pull out the flash on my phone to see the menu.. The dishes themselves were good and there was a more unique of a choice than your typical restaurant. Millefoglie al pistacchio e lamponi was excellent and a really generous portion size. Definitely a shareable dessert. Espresso martini was good. Knocking off a star because I still don't believe the price is justified for the dishes as they are now.

My fiancé and I had an absolutely wonderful dinner at Mamo in Brickell! This chic Italian spot (the Miami outpost of the famous SoHo original) has a stylish, inviting ambiance perfect for a date night with its warm lighting and elegant setup. I went for the NY Strip steak, beautifully cooked to perfection with a flavorful crust, garnished with rosemary and served with a rich sauce alongside tender potatoes. It was juicy, tender, and one of the highlights of the meal. My fiancé ordered the Cacio e Pepe, and she raved that it was hands down the best she's ever had creamy, perfectly peppery, and just spot-on authentic. We also shared the truffle fries, which were good but didn't quite top some of the other truffle fries we've tried elsewhere (still enjoyable, though!). Overall, the food was outstanding, the service attentive, and the vibe spot on. We loved every minute and can't wait to go back. Highly recommend Mamo to anyone craving excellent Italian in Brickell!

Solid place to add to the frequent local rotation. If you are a local and live in Brickell or surrounding areas, this is a good go to place for Italian food, nice ambience, and steady menu. Catching up with friends or date night. I would say it's suitable for groups of 4 or less. The service is a little inconsistent, so there is room for improvement. I like the decor and ambience, and actually the smell was really good too :p. Whatever fragrance, it wasn't a food smell but I liked it. I came here on a rainy Saturday night, and it was still pleasantly packed. Once you arrive, there's a bar that you can get wine, or cocktails while waiting for the rest of your group to arrive. They also have a gummy station at the end of the bar so definitely check that spot out. After you receive your drink, someone will walk you to your table. We had a party of four and ordered a few appetizers and main dishes, and then we shared the tiramisu. For the appetizers, we had an artichoke dish and the cauliflower. They were both pretty good, I'd say 4/5 stars. Two of my friends ordered the Cacio de Pepe, and I snuck a bite, I'm glad I had my order, which was the angel hair pasta with shrimp. Definitely get this if you have a hard time deciding. I didn't try it a bite of the Branzino, it looked OK but my friend wasn't wowed or anything so didn't make me want to try it lol. I'm happy with the angel hair pasta, it's full of butter and flavor. Tiramisu for the table to share, was more than enough we still had half of the cup left. Overall, I would say that the atmosphere is pretty bustling, but calm at the same time. I like how the decor is muted so you can really focus on the people in front of you. The food was simple, decor simple, so let the conversations flow!

Monday 12:30pm Another NY brand that I'm excited opened up in miami with a bigger space and more of a miami vibe but not losing the same feel of the one in SoHo . The decor is light ( not bright ) with a chic European feel and decor. We were one of the first diners ( they open at 12pm ) along with apparently some famous futbol ( soccer in the U.S) per my colleague. Goes to show you what type of a restaurant it is . The service was amazing. Their business lunch pre fix is imo one of the best in town , servings are on the bigger side esp if you do the bolognese pasta which I still dream about . It's made with actual chunks of meat vs ground, he c is more hearty . Definitely best paired with a red bit with the warm weather , a light Pinot noir is perfect . Make sure to save some room for dessert as the pistachio millefoglie was divine . Due to the food quality and value , I came back two days later . This time around I had the branzino as my main , equally as delicious, paired with black rice and veggies . Both times I chose the seared tuna as starter to compensate for the not as light and savory entrees. Dinner is worth exploring on my next visit which I'm sure will not disappoint.

We were pleasantly surprised to learn they had a $60 price fix menu Sunday through Thursday, and 5:30 - 7:30 over the weekend. Since we were dining on a Sunday, we decided to give it a try. For my Antipasti, I had the Gamberi rossi (shrimp), burrata, mango and my bf had the Tonno scottato (tuna), arance, caperri, basil. Mine was light, fresh, and a great start to the meal. My bf enjoyed his as well. For the Primi course, we both tried the La nostra Caico & Pepe. This was delicious. Next for the Secondi course, we both had the Bistecca di manzo, patate arrosto, salsa al pepe (NY strip), which was tasty but hard to finish since we were so full already. Dessert for both of us was the Affogato alle fragole (ice cream with strawberries) which was a great way to end the meal. We then got an exciting surprise with our check, a jar full of gummy candies to snack on! The courses were a little spaced out, but overall the service was good. Add this to your list if you are in Miami, especially if you are able to go on a night that has the price fix menu.

From the outside, Mamo has all the charm of a nail salon due to the building's ground floor retail architecture and location. But, step inside, and you're transported to a chic bistro that could easily be in one of the better neighborhoods in Rome or Milan. The service is efficient and knowledgeable. The decor is all calm earth tones and elegant, but comfortable furnishings. The food is so thoughtfully prepared, and the restaurant tries to stick to authentic Italian recipes that aren't dumbed down for Miami diners. This is serious food for connoisseurs. Their prix fixe lunch is among the best ones in the neighborhood. So much quality food for the price. It's become our go to at the office for when we want to celebrate a special occasion.

As others have stated, Magie is good in concept and we'll likely return here, but with just a bit…read moremore effort on their part this wine bar could be so much better IMO. Unlike some other reviewers that scoffed at the prices of the wine, that didn't bother me so much. We had a bottle here that cost $55 and it retails for about $28; I was OK with that, as all restaurants and wine bars have a markup above retail, and even when you go to spots like Happy Wine or El Carajo and pick out a bottle to drink while in their shop, they charge a corkage fee for that. What I did have a problem with is that, after the "service charge" and other fees were added on, our $55 bottle rang up to more than $73 in total, which was ludicrous. When we first arrived at Magie we were met by a young guy who pointed out the bottles and where the various charcuterie items are located in the coolers, and we were then pretty much left on our own. We really just wanted a glass of wine each, but unlike places like Vinoteca, here at Magie they had a very limited selection of wines by the glass, and the ones available all seemed to come in single-serve cans. We picked out a bottle to share, went to the register, paid and the guy opened it and handed us 2 glasses. When I returned to get napkins, the guy just motioned to where the napkins were so I could grab my own (after moving a delivery cart out of the way by myself so I could reach them). Again, though this place includes an automatic "service charge", we received zero actual "service" unless one considers the 45 seconds it takes to uncork our bottle and charge us for the purchase. We had a seat, had a glass of wine each and then re-corked our bottle of wine and took it with us. Overall I think Magie is a great concept with lots of potential. The inside seating area is interestingly decorated and outfitted with lots of eclectic furniture and items on the walls, and the relatively large patio seating out front with tables for 2 to 8 people is shielded from the adjacent street/traffic and shaded by lots of trees and greenery. The ambiance overall is really very nice. The service, however, was non-existent, especially considering the automatic charge for that, and while prices of at least some wines aren't terribly out of line, the fact that all the service charges, taxes and fees added $20 to the cost of our bottle was a bit of a shocker. Magie should consider adding more wines by the glass IMO. Not just subpar quality single-serve cans, but decent wines, poured from a proper bottle with a topper that preserves the wine between pours like most every quality wine bar commonly offers. Lastly, while I don't think anyone expects linen napkins and white glove service, the paper plates and plastic cutlery customers are given to eat with are a bit off vs. what this place appears to be trying to be and the prices charged. The "F*ck Brunch" positioning statement on the back of the staffs' shirts was an interesting touch.

The first location in the River is better imo because the location is bigger, there is plenty more seating than the Grove location. Although, I still enjoyed my time at this location as well. Sooo how it works is that you go inside and pick a bottle of wine from the fridges. You can also order by the glass if you aren't a big drinker or if you want to try different wines. The bottles are moderately priced depending on your selection. We chose an orange wine and it was nice, very refreshing, you can really get that citrus essence with every sip. Another thing that they have is that you can pick different cheeses and meats and they will build you a charcuterie board. I love this because it is all based on your selection, nothing will go to waste. They also have food you can order. A lot of people love the nuggets with caviar. I think they are decent imo but I'm not like in love with them. Parking can be a bit annoying... If there isn't street parking, you can also park in the garage. The service was good, the staff was friendly. The only thing that was a hassle was getting a table. We had to wait a bit in order for a table to become available. Overall, this spot is a very cozy place to hang and mingle with friends.

From the second you pull up the driveway, you are greeted by rolling rows of vines and an atmosphere that instantly makes you drop your shoulders and relax. It completely lives up to its name--the vibe is effortlessly mellow, sophisticated, and incredibly welcoming. Here is why this place has officially become my absolute favorite spot: 1. The Wine & Food Pairings are Masterful The culinary team here clearly works hand-in-hand with the winemakers, because the pairings are flawless. We started with a crisp, beautifully balanced white blend paired with an artisanal charcuterie board featuring locally sourced cheeses and a phenomenal house-made fig jam. For the main course, the slow-braised short rib literally melted off the bone, and when paired with their estate estate Syrah, it was pure magic. Every bite was an absolute home run. 2. Breathtaking Atmosphere & Ambiance The design of the restaurant strikes the perfect balance between rustic vineyard charm and modern elegance. We sat out on the covered patio, which offers sweeping, unobstructed views of the vineyard. As the sun began to set, they lit the fire pits and turned on string lights, creating an incredibly romantic, warm glow across the entire space. It's the kind of environment where you just want to linger for hours over dessert and another bottle. 3. World-Class Hospitality What truly elevates Mellow Grapes is the service. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable without an ounce of pretentiousness. They walked us through the tasting notes of each wine, shared the history of the vineyard, and gave us brilliant recommendations based on our personal palates. The pace of the meal was perfect--we never felt rushed, yet we were perfectly looked after the entire evening. The Verdict Mellow Grapes is an absolute gem. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion, planning a perfect date night, or just want to treat yourself to an exquisite meal and fantastic wine, this place delivers on every front. The passion behind the food, the wine, and the hospitality is evident in every single detail. I'm already counting down the days until my next visit.
