    This was delicious.

I was in Miami for business and took my colleague there for dinner. Upon entering the hostess washes your hands over a bowl of flowers with special water. Then say us down for dinner. The waitstaff were amazing. The food was so delicious. I can't even describe how good it was. I had the Tagliatelle with yellow pepper sauce with Lomo as my protein. Damn.... So good. The place was clean and well decorated giving a very ethnic Peruvian vibe. I highly recommend this restaurant and I'll go back when I'm in Miami. This was definitely a gem.

Say hello to @mayu_miami ! The ambience alone is beyond phenomenal! I eaten at various restaurants! But this spot is top notch! The Servers are kind and gracious! And the manger took the time to personally make sure I felt comfortable and at home! The decor is originated from Peru and including the fresh ingredients they us to entice your appetite! You will not be disappointed!

Decided to venture out from eating buffet food at the hotel during a work meeting. Definitely worth it for a delicious 3 course meal for lunch. Great taste, great service, and lovely ambiance. Highly recommend checking out!

I honestly had one of the top 10 meals of the last two years here. The flavor was exquisite, the prices seemed reasonable (for Miami) and they waited on you extremely attentively. Our waiter Jose recommended the perfect things for both my friend and I. As someone who loves cocktails, I was impressed with the flavor dynamics present in these. For my main, I ordered their skirt steak and oh my goodness the sauce was Divine. The steak was perfectly cooked and the yuca fries were also delicious. I honestly can't wait to come back here

Visited here for a business dinner on a Wednesday night. I like Peruvian food so was excited to visit Mayu. As there was a large group of us we had a set menu to order from, including a drink. I chose the pisco sour as my drink and it was very good. For my starter I went with the ceviche (medium spicy) and picked the Aji De Gallina for my main course. The service was extremely slow, even though it wasn't very busy inside, and it took a while for the starters to arrive. When it did arrive though the ceviche was very good, with a very generous portion of fish. There was then a fairly long wait between our mains coming out and when it did I really did not enjoy the flavors or texture of my dish. I had a couple of forkfuls but it was making me feel slightly unwell so I couldn't eat any more. We were due to be served dessert but after a 30 minute wait we had to leave (we had already been at the restaurant for 3 hours for 2 courses). The interior of the restaurant is very pretty, and the ceviche was good, but the speed of service just really let this place down. With so many options of places to eat in Miami I would not return here.

Mayu is a Brickell gem! The classic ceviche was so fresh with the perfect amount of zest! It came in stone bowl that kept it chilled. I also had 2 sushi rolls. My favorite was the HOTATE PARMA. It was packed with flavor! My first time having scallops on my sushi but it was amazing. The ACEVICHADO roll was good too but had less flavor. Beautiful ambiance and attentive service. My first time visiting this Peruvian spot, but I'll definitely be back.

I had a great experience at Mayu! I recently went for a Galentine's dinner and it was the perfect spot to celebrate the girls! They extended their prefix lunch menu for us which was really nice and accommodating. The servers were all excellent - serving a large group can be challenging, but they were great! Ok, so now the food. Everything was amazing! I had the chicken appetizer, which I normally would not choose but it was spot on. Everything was full of flavor. This is a great place for a girls happy hour or romantic dinner!

Estuvo deli anyway.

Every dish I've tried here has been good. I've sat at the bar both times and had small plates, but they were decent portions and tasted fresh (especially the ceviche). The waiters and bartenders were attentive and sweet. They make suggestions and check on you frequently. Ambiance is calm and inviting.

We just found the most aesthetically pleasing Peruvian restaurant and it's pure gold and I'm not just saying this because of the Amazonian Treasure. Think an elevated Bellini. It's also the only spot I know of that has pisco flights. We got 3 different shots and when we were ready for some more fun we turned our pisco flight to a pisco sour flight trying out their passion, chica and traditional. I'd order the passinfruit a million times over. We opened our palate with their stracciatella and aguaymanto salad we then had their ceviche clásico which was served in this gorgeous Poseidon dish, and ps it was so delicious with the sweet potato, chocolate and leche de Tigre. Btw let's talk about how cute this Llama is as we move on to this even more gorgeous spiced seared salmon with this bright pink koji olive sauce the portion of meat will make your trainer proud. You won't be skipping on the protein here and this is also true for the marinated NY striploin steak the rice it's served with is perfect and as we unwind, we have to finish the meal with a beautiful espresso martini and their suspiro limeño and the Lucina cheesecake, they had run out of the lunch Miami Spice desserts so we lucked out and go to try the dinner desserts and all I'm saying is I'm going to have to come back for their dinner menu. PS this lunch menu is only $35 and I felt like I robbed the place, the quality, the beauty and the amazing portion of this place means I have to be back.

From angel the host to Adrian and all the waiters this truly is an incredible experience start to finish. The food is on another level, we live in nyc and everytime we come to Miami we eat at mayu, nothing else compares

This was the second time I've been here and honestly was less impressed this time overall. Still highly rated. The food is all good and with a nice presentation. However service was a bit slow this time. Our dinner took over 2 hours for just 3 people. But the patio was nice and drinks still great. We order one of the "offering" specialties which was delicious but very small considered the price.

Staff greeted my group upon entry. They have many tables as well as bar top seating. This is a great restaurant to catch up with friends or for a date. Jessica bartender was amazing. Very high energy and very helpful in navigating the menu. Maiz al wok- 10/10 Very flavorful with umami. This is a Peruvian version of esquites. Ceviche Classico- 10/10 Fresh tasting flavor where you are able to adjust the heat. This dish was perfectly balanced. This is a great portion to share. Guava y Queso- 9/10 Unique drink with great flavor. This is a drink you should drink quickly if you let it sit it does curdle. Mayu Sour- 10/10 Nice sour with a smooth texture on your palette.

We really had never tried Ceviche before, but the online menu really looked spectacular. Our waitress was Angie, and she was fantastic. Such a great personality, and she went out of her way to explain all the details before we ordered. It's actually disappointing that we are just passing through and may never go back, because I would seriously like to try every last item. Rather than bore you with the list of everything we ordered, I'll share what we considered to be the best of the best. CALAMARI... we both love calamari, and we have eaten this dish at many different places. This was the best ever. Perfect. CEVICHE DE SALMON EN CANASTA DE TOSTON... seriously one of the most delicious things I have ever put in my mouth. While we did order both the ceviche camaron and the ceviche trio mixto, the hands-down winner, no questions asked, was the CEVICHE DIVINO. We finished with the TORTA DE CHOCOLATE and the smoothest, creamiest cup of coffee ever. My wife is a chocolate cake expert, and while I was finishing all the ceviche, she was having an out of body experience with the cake. I have to say that while we are borderline foodies and love cooking and eating, we probably are not the most adventurous. So glad today was different, and so thrilled with our decision to eat here. 10/10

I usually approach fusion restaurants with a healthy amount of skepticism. Too often, they feel…read morelike culinary speed dating, two cuisines forced together in the hope that chemistry magically appears. More often than not, one side dominates, the other disappears, and everybody loses. At Amazonia, a Japanese-Peruvian restaurant in Miami, that fear evaporates somewhere around the first bite. The opening argument came in the form of Gyoza Huancaína, pan-fried dumplings stuffed with lomo saltado and served with a vivid yellow huancaína sauce. It is the kind of dish that sounds gimmicky when described aloud. Then you eat it. The dumplings delivered deep savory notes from the beef, while the creamy sauce added brightness, spice, and richness. It felt less like a fusion experiment and more like a dish that had always existed. Four dumplings arrived on the plate. Four was not enough. My entrée, the Midori Risotto, continued the conversation between Japan and Peru. A strikingly green risotto made with kale and edamame arrived topped with grilled shrimp, microgreens, and dots of black garlic aioli. The rice was cooked properly, retaining a slight bite, while the edamame added texture and sweetness. The shrimp brought balance to the richness, and the black garlic aioli quietly tied everything together. It was a dish that managed to be both comforting and elegant. To drink, I ordered the Nikkei Lemonade, a blend of yuzu, Peruvian ginger, and huacatay. Bright, citrusy, and refreshing, it reset the palate after each bite and served as a reminder that the fusion extends beyond the food. My wife chose the braised short rib, a dish for diners who may not be ready to take the full leap into the restaurant's more adventurous offerings. Braised for 72 hours and served over mashed potatoes, it collapsed under the gentlest pressure from a fork. The beef was intensely flavorful, and the braising liquid was rich enough to make you consider asking for a spoon. Dessert brought one final East-meets-West moment. The Flan Nikkei paired a silky custard with miso caramel, whipped cream, and fresh strawberry. The miso added just enough savory depth to keep the sweetness from becoming predictable. It was a thoughtful ending to a meal built on thoughtful combinations. Amazonia succeeds because it understands something many fusion restaurants do not. Combining cuisines is not about piling flavors on top of one another. It is about finding where they naturally intersect. Here, Japanese precision and Peruvian boldness meet in the middle, and both emerge better for it. Fusion rarely wins me over, but Amazonia makes a compelling case for keeping an open mind.
