We have always enjoyed this establishment and never had an issue. Most recently I ordered pick up and dealt with rudeness. When dealing with orders for pick up they are very rude. If there is a mistake they do not at least try to help they just tell you, it's your problem. My husband also had a situation on his order and when trying to talk to staff he also encountered rude, and they were not paying attention to what he was saying. This is a combined review of my three visits to Cuban Guys: The pan con bistec was fair, lots or fries added to it to give it some heff, would have preferred a bit more meat and onions but it wasn't bad at all. The media noche, not what I hoped for but it did have lots of ham and the pork chunks were a nice change from the usual puerco prensado that its made with. The frita was good, very good and only $7. Nice sized patty and flavorful. The croquetas are some of the best I've ever had, a little heavy on the seasoning but better than most. The portion was great and the salad mix was fresh. I'd order this again in a heartbeat. -Mini Papa Rellenas (stuffed potato balls): I was very excited about these but they were disappointing. While the traditional papa rellena is supposed to be crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The ones I received did not seem fresh at all. The potato on the inside as well as the meat were super crunchy as if they had been fried twice. They sort of just crumbled apart, it was odd. I'll stick to their non fried items for my next orders. This is one review I can legitimately start with Daleeeee! A Cuban fast food place that jams out Pitbull and reggaeton during lunchtime in Hialeah, I'm there. It's a livelier, "Cuban" version of the regular chicken places in both food and decor. With a full length storefront window, red and blue modern leather banquettes you already start with a young feel to the place. Great ventilation system as well, as they have an open kitchen and I didn't head back to work smelling of food. Speaking of, I tried their chicken Cuban bowl the highlight of which are chicken breast pieces prepared in a spicy "criollo" seasoning. I could almost swear it has a hint of red pepper which I enjoyed. The best side dish of the bowl is the tiny cut sweet plantain pieces mixed in with the moros. The first time I ordered the vaca frita bowl with a "jugo de melón" or watermelon juice. A quick bite foodie spot and so far, the food is great. I had never had a vaca frita, but I have grown to be a fan. The meat was very flavorful served with crispy potato fries and I added cheese, lettuce, and onions. So I ordered the steak bowl and an extra cuban sandwich that we split. Everything was better than expected, the frita had that oh so unique goodness marriage of flavors. BEST FRITAS EVER The steak bowl could use more steak but I like the diced plantains style. And you have the drink machine with all the combinations. Only thing I would suggest is the seating is a bit cheap like 80s plastic. Definitely coming back though! I don't always eat fast food, but when I do, it's Cuban fast food in suburban Miami. After all, that city has not earned its nicknames "Little Cuba" and the "Capital of Latin America" in vain. Cuban Guys is a local Cuban fast food chain with four locations in the Miami area (does that even qualify as a chain, or maybe just a local fast food restaurant with four branches?). The Frita Cubana is a perfectly seasoned beef burger topped with crisp string fries and onions. The beef patty is on the thin side, so a regular Frita Cubana is somewhat imbalanced in terms of the proportion of beef to toppings. As such, I'd suggest ordering the Frita Doble, which is the version with two patties. You can also have Swiss or American cheese added to your Frita and make it a cheeseburger (cheese makes everything taste better, doesn't it?). I enjoy the Vaca Frita sandwich even more than the more popular Frita Cubana because the strands of shredded beef and string fries tend to get interwoven, and give the sandwich a very interesting blend of chewy and crunchy textures. The breakfast sandwich is small but hearty; a simple egg and cheese sandwich topped with string fries on a soft roll. The real reason I keep going back to Cuban Guys is the flan, particularly the cappuccino flan, the dulce de leche flan, and of course the guava and cheese flan. I wish they'd also start making mamey flan; that would make me completely happy. They do have a mamey shake, which is pretty filling; I don't always have the stomach capacity for a sandwich, a flan and a shake, so I get the shake in a disposable cup to enjoy it a couple of hours later. The staff at the locations that I have visited have always been friendly and courteous, and this location is no exception. Every visit to Miami now starts with a stop at one of the Cuban Guys locations on the way from the airport to whatever part of Miami the trip takes me. read more
