Came in for a quick breakfast with my husband. I was pleased to see that the place looked a lot cleaner than last time we visited. The service was still not on par, the lady server was miserable and did not smile once.

I absolutely love Chicos! It is my go to spot for a late evening retreat. I've been here at one in the morning, four in the morning, five in the morning and the food never disappoints. They make veg options just for me you just have to know how to ask them. Traditional Cuban anytime of day, why not! Mariquitas are always fresh and OnPoint. Black beans and rice again always fresh and OnPoint. Toast always fresh and OnPoint. Cafe, sweet plantain etc.

I stopped by after the lunch rush to have a hialeah heat sandwich was the perfect version of typical cuban sandwich with a kick. I loved the touch of spicy in my sandwich. I also had a cafe bom bom that was really good. Loved the condensed milk. The girl who served me was very attentive to me when I visited and helped me with any questions i had; made me feel very welcomed. When i couldn't finish my coffee she packed it up for me in a to go cup.

Was meeting with some friends for an early lunch last week and I suggested this restaurant. The inside is not that big and parking is terrible, but I figured the food would make up for it. Very few tables inside but it was clean and has a counter area where the customer can sit or can sit and wait for their to go order. Not sure what has happened during the past two years but the food wasn't that great this time around. We shared the simple egg sandwich with bacon, and ordered a cafe con leche, the croqueta sampler and some islas canarias croquetas. The simple egg sandwich was unflavorful. The croqueta sampler and islas canarias croquetas were my favorite. Sadly, the cafe con leche didn't even taste like cafe con leche. Our waitress seemed overwhelmed although it was just our table and two more tables she was serving. There was a total of maybe 8 customers. We had to keep asking her for more water and napkins.

Versailles - Tres Leches ($4.95) - good though also on the sweeter side. Not as sweet as the flan.

Located right off the main stretch of Calle Ocho, this place stays busy for a reason. We had about a 45-minute wait, but honestly it didn't even feel like it. There's a bar outside mixing up fresh mojitos, and right around the corner is their little café where we grabbed cafecitos, an empanada, and a pastelito de queso to hold us over--everything hit. Once inside, the restaurant is massive with multiple dining rooms, but it still keeps that lively, classic Cuban vibe. Luisa took great care of us--super friendly, attentive, and genuinely made the experience better. We kicked things off with the yuca croquettes (crispy, flavorful, gone in seconds) and went all in on the paella Valenciana. Big portions, packed with flavor, and perfect for sharing. For anyone visiting from out of town, this is a must-stop. It's one of those spots that lives up to the hype--great food, great energy, and a true taste of Miami culture. Easy 5 stars.

Great music and friendly staff. What we ordered- Croquetas 10/10 - Soft creamy inside and lightly crispy on the outside. Drizzled with a aioli style sauce. (In my opinion)the croquetas were so good they didn't need any sauce. Churassco w/ white rice, black beans and plantains 10/10 ohh this is everything a churassco should be. Juicy, tender and cooked full of so much flavor. The rice was perfect not sticky just perfectly fluffy and not oily and the beans are exactly what I always hope to be served at any Cuban restaurant. Absolutely delicious and full of so much flavor. I mean if they told me Abuela had made them I would totally believe it. Chefs kiss The hubs ordered the Picanha with morro rice and plantains 10/10 No crumbs or grains of rice was left on his plate! Absolutely delicious Needless to say this place is an absolute must! I came by their new location in Westland Mall today since I was shopping and I was hungry. However,…read morewith slow service and nickel and diming (18 percent automatic tip) and smallish portions I don't think I'll be back. Having had a quick workday lunch and walked around the mall, I had worked up an appetite. I was seated in a corner table for two and my order was taken. The restaurant did not seem that crowded even for a Friday night but it felt like a long wait. Unlike many Cuban places, they don't offer complimentary bread. I ordered their "platanos a tentacion" (bacon wrapped sweet plantains), grilled chicken and moros. The rice was a little hard and the chicken breast on the small side and barely seasoned other than the onions garnishing it. Service didn't feel very attentive for me as a solo diner. Between finishing my dinner and waiting to order either dessert or cafecito, I also sat and waited until a waitress finally came by. At that point, I just got the coffee and my check. I don't believe I was offered a printed receipt, just the card terminal. I asked if the tip was included and pretty much in time when I was putting the usual tip (trying to be generous with 20 percent) I was told that it was a service charge, and that the tip was extra, but had full amounts starting with 18%. So basically I paid 30% tip for a small portion of food and inattentive service. Looking back, I see that this restaurant had a different name and I had enjoyed dinner at their other location six years back. It's disappointing to see how it has fallen off. As it were, a lot of the original creative items on the menu are no longer being offered.

From the first aroma that hits you upon entering, you know you're in for something authentic and special. The star of the show was undoubtedly the Palomilla steak. It was cooked to absolute perfection--tender, flavorful, and served under a generous mountain of perfectly sautéed onions that complemented the meat beautifully. It is a rare treat to find a kitchen that treats this classic dish with such respect. However, the experience truly touched my heart when I tasted the red beans. They were so authentic and rich that they honestly brought a tear to my eye. That flavor profile brought back such fond, vivid memories of my grandmother's cooking that I was momentarily transported right back to her kitchen. If you are looking for an honest, heartfelt, and delicious Cuban meal, La Viña Aragón is an absolute must. It is a rare gem that honors tradition in every bite.
