A delicious local spot featuring cuban and puerto rican dishes served in an inviting atmosphere. They usually have some live music going on, today there was a violin player. My husband always gets Vaca Frita with rice and beans and tostones. Sometimes he switches to mofongo. I like to alternate between the Ropa Veija and the Rambo Encendido. The Ropa Veija and Vaca Frita are always a hit every single time. Discovered this restaurant a few years ago but have been a loyal customer ever since.

Great local gem blending Cuban and Puerto Rican comfort food with plenty of flavor and personality. The mofongo was spot-on--garlicky, savory perfection. My masas de puerco leaned a little salty for me, though my friend swore hers were seasoned by the gods. The flan de queso? A creamy dream I'd come back for alone. The place was buzzing for an early Saturday night, and I can see why. Affordable, flavorful, and surprisingly my first visit though definitely not my last. Service was friendly and efficient, rounding out a great dinner experience.

Cuban and Puerto Rican cuisine. Many Latin restaurants in Hialeah, but if you are in this area, you have to give them a try. Everything on the menu is authentic and tasty. I had the Lechón asado (roasted pork) with a side of Yuca and a side of black rice and beans. My go to plate! Price is reasonable and plate is overflowing. I never take home, but this time I had to. Service is always great, team effort, very attentive. Ambiance is 100% Cuban/Puerto Rican. Love the live music occasionally, or simply the piped in music. If it's your birthday, they basically put on a show for you. Highly recommend!

First, I want to give a big shoutout to Junior for the fantastic customer service! I ordered the mofongo with chicken and the Creole sauce, and let me tell you, the mofongo was delightful! The flavors with the Creole sauce were really on point. Unfortunately, I didn't continue eating the rest of the mofongo after discovering it had pork in it. Totally my oversight since I don't eat pork--I should have double-checked! I had some leftover rice from another meal, so I paired it with the chicken and Creole sauce, and it was delicious! I also tried the rice pudding, which I learned is made fresh every day. It had a lovely texture, and while it was a tad sweet for my taste, I still enjoyed it. Overall, a great meal.

We dined here for breakfast after checking out of the Holiday in. The menu is in both Spanish and English with tons of options to order. Our waitress was very nice, but spoke very little English so there was a language barrier. Someone in our group is special needs and wanted a plain sandwich with only grilled onions, but it was hard to communicate so we just let him know we would take off the toppings when his order came. We asked for a small plate and started to take off the toppings. Our waitress brought a plate and an additional waitress that spoke better English to ask if everything was okay. We explained he was special needs and wanted a plain sandwich, but he is fine that we are just taking the toppings off for him. The waitress took his plate and came back with a fresh sandwich for us which was very kind and we appreciated. Food was good and the restaurant itself was clean, nicely decorated, and inviting! Great place to grab a quick bite to eat and accommodating. Try the Cuban coffee while you're here!

5 stars of service, amazing food, desserts and coffees! Violinist made the meal festive.

Their menu has so many choices, and I wanted to try several dishes all at once. Since that was unrealistic, I chose the one thing I couldn't find on the menu and is a favorite of mine, pollo guisado. It was so tender, so good that I asked the server to wrap my to go box up with Saran Wrap so that I can take it back to NJ as I was flying out in a few hours. The dish was packed with flavor and seasoned to perfection. I ordered the yucca boiled with pickled onions and plantains on the side. Great add ons. Even the orange juice tasted freshly squeezed. This restaurant was a good choice, very clean, and good customer service. Highly recommend.

The food is normally amazing t this place. Tonight I ordered chicharrones )(which are a little pricey, about 5 pieces for $11) a plate of rice and an empanada de pizza. I ordered in Uber Eats and just look at my surprise when I open my empanada to give my husband half of it . Empty as hell. Other than that, the food is good

He venido unas 3-4 veces en los últimos 5 años.

I just touched down in Miami and my friends took me to El Riconcito De Santa Barbara. I've had Puerto Rican food before but this was my first time going to an actual restaurant that's authentic. When we first walked in, we were greeted by it seems like almost all the hostesses. It was great because they had a live singer and it added to the experience. To start, we ordered the red sangria, which was oh so good. We also got the ropa vieja for the table, and that was quite possibly the most tender beef I've ever had. It paired really well the plantains. Since this was my first real meal of the day and I knew I had a lot of salsa dancing to do later, I went with a lighter dish and got a grilled chicken breast with maduros and arroz con gandules. I had been looking forward to this because I love arroz con gandules almost as much as pesto, and when cooked correctly, can be a real treat. The chicken was well-seasoned and oozing with flavor; the maduros was just maduros but still spectacular. My friends split the trifongo and wow, talk about a game changer. The presentation alone was gram worthy and the flavors all melted in your mouth. I never knew you could make such a dish out of plantains, but I stand corrected. The garlic was an added bonus! Last but not least, we have the 4 leches. Even though we were all stuffed and I was about ready to unbutton my pants, we pushed through. Surprisingly, it was just enough to split between three people and we all got equal amounts. It reminded me more of like an oatmeal cake but omg, was it good. All in all, this place was a hit. This place set the bar high, esp after it was my first stop since leaving the airport. Don't worry if it seems crowded because their service is fast AND accurate. Both pluses in my book. I hope to experience their breakfast while I'm here because I heard it's excellent as well!

Ever had food that's makes you wanna dance merengue and all night? This food has me and my taste buds dancing! Que Rico. How about the fact that is so dang affordable?!?! Ugh. Amazing. Great place for some Puerto Rican food. I had the Puertorican pastel for appetizer and it's freaking amazing. If you haven't tried one before, I highly recommend it!! For entree I got the trifongo with lechón asado and arroz con gandules. Que ricura. I'm not sure which was my favorite cause it was all amazing. Service is great. All the staff is so kind and always keeping an eye on you from afar in case you need something. You never feel rushed. The dining area is casual and laid back. Has some beautiful paintings from Puerto Rico on the wall. Definitely hits the spot if you're looking for some food from La isla del encanto!!

I ordered the "pork in my belly", and I have to say--the flavor was really good. The mofongo was topped with what tasted like a cilantro sauce, and there was some kind of crunchy element (maybe Cheetos or something similar?) that actually worked really well. The pork chunks were on point--tender, juicy, and well-seasoned. I also want to mention that the man who took my order and brought me my food was very kind, and I didn't have to wait long at all, which I really appreciated. That said, cleanliness is a big deal for me. I tend to notice those things, and unfortunately, this is where my experience changed. The outside of the food truck looked dirty, and I noticed spots on the ceiling that made me a bit uneasy. Inside, I saw a young woman on her phone, talking with one hand while scratching her head with the other, and then grabbing aluminum foil--presumably to handle food. That really didn't sit right with me. While the food itself was flavorful, and I'm thankful the gentleman preparing my order was wearing gloves, the overall cleanliness concerns make it hard for me to return.
