Such a nice time for a family night. To be honest this is an environment with an older crowd and not really for millennials. We sat outside which the weather was great since it was already the evening, not much sun and also made it easier for us to talk and listen to each other since music was playing inside by an artist. The music was still able to heard outside but at a decent level. We started off by ordering the ham croquetas which the portion was ok to share and were also very good. Also tried the ceviche that had a very nice presentation and it was very fresh. All entrees were very good portions and very delicious. The ox tail risotto was my favorite of them all. Went here early on a Friday night and was impressed. There are happy hour specials. The restaurant is very pretty inside! Like you wouldn't believe it's located in Hialeah lol. I had THE best rabo encendido risotto. Delicious BUT only 2 pieces of meat with a ton of rice. No bueno mi genre, you need to throw in more meat. Drinks were happy hour and we had 2 perfect mojitos. So I finally go to this place I've been wanting to go to for a while and let me tell you its a cute spot easy to locate no trouble at all great customer service and I was not that impressed like there advertised on there churrasco con camarones my husband had that dish cause it was recommended by the waitress and he said no and returned they dish then he had some of my dish the daily special they offer and it was good it was a chicken stew with full of flavor and a pea soup that was also good a mango juice some plantain bananas with shrimp on top and a cheese it's was ok I can say but definitely not what I expected for sure you can say I've waited a while for my husband to agree to bring me here but he did and I can now cross this spot from my try food list I have for places to eat. It seems to me that the waitresses are more info about looking cute then serving I had to remind the waitress that if she had taken out the churrasco and shrimp out my bill since my husband did not eat it or liked it she gave me a look of i don't know what to do instead of taking away they plate and removing it from the bill she then proceeds to go and asks the manager for permission to do so the manager did not like the idea but knew that it was not ok to pay for something you have not eaten but you were able to tell they were not happy to it, and then made it seem that she did me a favor by taking it out when she should of taken care of that before bringing up the bill, if I would of not asked she would of let that plate be charged anyway very uncomfortable situation for a place that I have been wanting to try out but I'll maybe come to the party side and see how that goes! This is a pretty interesting place ! There's a lot going on inside. They have live entertainment and are open pretty late on the weekends. Food is really good and staff is very friendly. Although I don't know why they call it bbq . There's no barbecue items on the menu. But really good Cuban food . We ordered the fried pork Chunks and tostones and they were so good . Worst pan con bistec I've ever had in my life!!!!! The steak was so salty it was inedible. 3 of us ordered the steak sandwich and all 3 had to be thrown out. Horrible horrible horrible!!! Best one I've had in a while. 2) Fries, $3. Lacked salt. Small and too dry for my taste, my fiance liked them. He said thats how cuban fries are. 3) Steak sandwich, $5. Just okay, we both agreed that it was very dry. It had very little mayo, no mustard. 4) Fried cheese, $3 or $5, not sure. Worth $5. This is real cheese, not what you are going to get at a fritanga. First time eating Cubian, I enjoyed the meal the service was very good. After they found out I was new to Cubian the waitresses spent time with me explaining things. Even the other guy at the bars was extremely helpfull. The prices were great. They handed out Cubian coffee and that was excellent.
