Listen, if you're looking to explore some BBQ, this place is FIRE. It's got good food, a friendly guy cooking it, and my only regret is not coming here first thing in the morning so I could have the freshest pick. One thing about me is I love to have BBQ fresh off the smoker, but I do like that this truck is well equipped to keep everything warm, soft, and juicy. We tried the ribs and they were BUSSIN. Soft and amazing. In my life, I've never had ribs that soft before. They were seriously incredible. The pork sausage, though, was a HIT for me. I'm a girl who loves sausage, any kind, and the way this was so juicy just hit a spot for me. Matter of fact, I'll stop cooking sausages at home and simply come buy them by the pound here. The pulled pork was good. It's my fault for putting Sweet Heat BBQ on it without trying it first because LORD JESUS. I don't know what I was thinking. I underestimated the heat, and usually I love it hot, but LORD. I think my bread absorbed all of it. So, tread lightly with the hot sauces. For me, next time I think playing with a regular BBQ sauce and adding little dashes of the heated sauces myself would be the move. BUT IF YOU LIKE CRAZY HEAT, THEY GOT IT. The mac was good. The beans were FIRE. Perfectly sweet, and they actually have protein in them, which I can't say for all BBQ bean spots. Overall, it's worth the money. The service is respectful, and honestly, I will be coming back. I'll be ordering less food next time because LORD, I bought too much, but I'll definitely be back for a fresh brisket straight off the smoker. I can't lie. All in all, they're great. I like BBQ that tastes like hard work. Frankly, I want some love put into my BBQ, not just something that was simply cooked, and here they definitely have that. Only a true master can get sausage the way they do it here. 10/10. All juicy, all good. I'll be back. I can't recommend enough that you need to pivot your Thursdays through Sundays and try this place, ESPECIALLY IF IT'S FRESH OFF THE SMOKER. Real BBQ isn't about the presentation. My car, my hair, and my clothes all smelled like I rolled around in a smoker, which is exactly what I want from my BBQ. P.S. My dogs were going crazy for my fingers and trying to jump on the counters to get a bite, so you know it's good because they're well trained. read more

Smokey always delivers. Great attention to detail, professional service, and consistently clean work. You can tell he takes pride in what he does. Definitely someone I'd recommend. read more

(Review of brisket only) This was a no for me. I came to try out the brisket since the reviews say it's decent, but from my experience I'll pass. Traveling to Kansas City and experiencing the different taste of brisket I kind of knew what to look for. First, The "brisket" wasn't giving brisket, more like a bottom round cut meat that's being smoke. Second, the meat was dry, so the sauce was a must. Lastly, the guy was a bit rude, not welcoming. Again try at your discretion, but I know good food and this ain't it! read more

Came right as they opened, delicious food I ended up getting the half rack or half slab , the service was pleasant and respectful. He gave me a menu and allowed me to sit in my cars ac while I decided. Would recommend. read more

There isn't much else to say when it comes to truly remarkable BBQ. The buzz around town--from people in the parking lot to patrons waiting in line--tells you everything you need to know: it's the real deal in this bbq truck. He's been at this spot for well over nine years and proudly claims he'll never go anywhere else. My husband and I, hungry as we were, didn't even wait to get home before sharing a combo of ribs and brisket in the car--and let me tell you, it was every bit as delicious as everyone says. Glad to have found this bbq gem. read more

Solid BBQ. Slab of ribs- perfectly cooked, had a delicious sweet glaze, and no fat. Brisket was tender and smokey. Chicken was moist and delicious. Baked beans and mac n cheese- perfection. My only complaint is we did an Uber Eats order and the menu didn't include cole slaw or collard greens. I called the restaurant and the owner told me they were out of greens but to order the macaroni salad and leave a note on the order to substitute Cole slaw, which I did for four sides of Cole slaw. I even texted the owner to make sure he knew and he replied. That said, I wound up with four macaroni salads and no Cole slaw. Despite this glitch, the place is a winner. We will be back. read more

one of the best og bbq spots to go food was amazing. chicken just falls off the bone. great service as always from the pit master

best BBQ I've had in a while. Great services as well and overall a good time with great food!

This is authentic and really good. The homemade sauce makes it all come together, but beware of the cry sauce!

My name is Rafael. I love eating barbecue. I eat barbecue all over the state across the country and I look for different places to eat barbecue. I've gotten to the point that I just make my own barbecue because no one has satisfied me until I went over here to Smoky trails and let me tell you something His ribs is chicken. His brisket was on point tender and fresh I can guarantee you you are not gonna be disappointed by the food there I only had the ribs, chicken and brisket. I'm sure everything else is off the hook. I did try a little bit of the mustard barbecue sauce and now I am a fan of that I will be over there this weekend to purchase more barbecue. read more

The food here is ridiculously good. The brisket is so tender and flavorful. The baked beans and coleslaw were great. Not overpowering, just a nice addition. The portions are HUGE. It's 100% worth the money. The only down side is I went around 5pm and there was no Mac salad or Mac and cheese. Aside from that, this place is a 10/10. The owner is very attentive and accommodation. Def will become a regular. read more

Food is delicious and tasty pretty good variety and sides to choose from would recommend!

I have never ever in my life experienced something like this. I ordered from here on UberEats. The Uber driver calls me and I hear a man YELLING in the background telling him to leave and that he won't give him my food. I tried to reach out to the restaurant directly. The same man picks up, yells at me as if I did something wrong, and then HANGS UP! Completely unprofessional. This kind of behavior is unheard of. I don't know what the dispute with the Uber driver is about but absolutely no need to take it out on the paying customer. So rude. You should not be in the service industry. read more

Smokey Trails BBQ - Outside - Barbeque Near Me - Miami, Florida

Just rude...I went this past Sunday and I parked next to the truck that the stand was near I got my purse and proceeded to exit my car. Very rudely a man standing outside the tables rudely said you need to park in a parking spot that was behind the truck I'm looking like there's literally no one here. By the time I was going to tell him that I would probably be gone by the time anyone got there he had rudely turned his back to me and did not acknowledge that I was going to say something. I politely got back in my car and left. As rude as he was I will never go there again. Customer service is everything, it's not what you say, but how you say it... read more

Coming from Texas and being stuck in quarantine with shows like Tiger King and Ozark made me really crave bbq. I was skeptical at first, since Florida was never known for its bbq. I picked a place with good reviews that also delivered and landed on Smokey Trails. I ordered the 3 meat combo (ribs brisket and sausage) with a side of slaw and tater salad. The thing that bumped them to a 5 star was the portion and the ribs. The sides were standard. The sausages and brisket were good, enough fatty vs. lean parts, nicely seasoned, and there was enough of everything for 2 meals. There was enough sausage for 3 meals actually. Now onto the ribs. I've had a lot of great ribs across Texas, and these ribs were very nicely smoked and then broiled. The smokiness with a sweet herbal flavor was fully soaked and intertwined with every inch of the meat. It had a nice crunchy outer crust with just a good touch of bbq glaze. The ribs were so good I finished all of them the first round. Overall, would love to have those ribs again any time! read more

The BBQ was great and very friendly service. I will definitely swing back through next time I'm in the area

Wasn't sure I was at the right location based on GPS but it was tucked in the corner and the menu was pretty straight forward. I ordered a slab of ribs and whole chicken for family and friends. The owner asked what sauce I wanted and I personally wasn't sure and simply wanted the sauce in small plastics containers, and my request was simply ignored and he insisted on wanting to know what sauce and he simply just squirted the sauce in the container on the side. Nonetheless the ribs and chicken were great the chicken was truly one of the best smoke chickens I have ever had. I would have given a 5 star review but the owners customer service skills are lacking. Being that I have never visited or tasted his sauce or food it would have been helpful to know before forcing my hand to choose a sauce when it was for not just me and for a group. Will I return? yes his food is great. I would suggest offering small samples of your sauce or simply charge for sauce on the side. Nonetheless he is craftsman with his smoking skills! read more

This is BBQ place is incredible! I have been coming here every week or every other week for a few months, I got a job near by and my employer said it was a great place, possibly the best bbq in the area. I think he's only around on Thursday or Friday, but just makes me look forward to Friday even more. The meat is so tender, if you go a little later for lunch there's no line so it's easy. It's just in the parking lot off exit 10A at the Bravo super market. Only place I know that hands out gloves - that's how you know they got the sauce! read more

Work close by this area and was in the mood for BBQ. I gave this place a try because it had excellent ratings. When I got there it wasn't busy at all I came up and there was a gentleman sitting there I believe he was the owner? I'm not sure anyways, he didn't really acknowledge me. He just got up and said something to me but was hard to hear him with the generator. I asked where do I order? He was rude being my first time there I wasn't sure how it work as far as ordering. He pointed to a menu so I told him I was going to order 3 meals still with an attitude and again I couldn't hear him seems like he didn't even want to be there. Anyways he bagged my stuff and I paid. The food wasn't what I expected I had the rib combo with sweet bbq sauce no flavor to the ribs but you can taste the smoke just not what I expected in BBQ ribs. So not only the customer service wasn't great but the food wasn't great either. read more

Visited here today for the first time and was pleasantly surprised with how good the BBQ is and how reasonable the prices are. I was the only customer at 12:15pm on a Friday. They had a ton of smoked food available including chicken, sausage, ribs, brisket to name a few. Opted for the 2 mean combo and got ribs and brisket. My total was less than $28 and there was easily more than enough ribs and brisket for two meals and I'm pretty good at eating BBQ. There was plenty of parking in the lot that the food truck/smoker is located in. They take credit cards and have plastic ware and plenty of napkins. I tried the mustard sauce on the ribs and sweet heat sauce on the brisket and couldn't pick one that I liked more - they were both excellent and the sweet heat was plenty hot. I didn't try any sides this visit, but I'm already looking forward to my next visit. Seriously good - and quick - BBQ! read more

I was in the neighborhood and decided to give this food truck a shot. I was talking with the "cook" and he was a delight. Funny, charismatic, friendly and very inviting. His customer service skills are exceptional. When the other person came out off the truck "I'm assuming he was the owner or manager" he didn't say anything other than keep your distance while using a nasty tone. I respectfully backed off but his demeanor was one of a rude and sour person. When I gave my card to pay for the meal the rude person used the card and threw it aside once he was done swiping it. The "cook" retrieved the card and thanked us for our patronage. The food was good and the gentlemen who attended me was polite and funny however the other person was a total douche. It's a shame because I love to give back to small businesses but truthfully I'd rather go elsewhere until this "gentlemen" improves his manners. In response to Gregory's comment: I understand the 6 foot social distancing and I immediately complied to your request. I spoke to you with respect and I expected the same. I was not standing close to you but I did respect your wishes. However the manner in which you expressed yourself and the attitude you gave me afterwards was not warranted. Perhaps you should try and treat your customers with the same respect they give you. read more

My last day in Miami was spent looking for this truck so I can try their delicious smoked ribs. It was a bit tricky to find a first because it was in a shady looking parking lot and I didnt know it was a food truck. You can smell this food truck from a mile away and it smells heavenly. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and bbq ribs. The sandwich was amazing. My only thing was if they put it on a different bun. The bun was a bit thin so the sauce from the pulled pork made the bread soggy quicker. However, the ribs is what won me over. This is the BEST smoked ribs I have ever had in MY LIFE. I have never had bbq ribs that is soooo smokey and flavorful on the first bite. Sooo good that I had to lick the sauce off my fingers (jk.) They need a chain restaurant because Im pretty upset that its only a food truck in Miami and I can not get it anywhere else. Hands down a MUST TRY. The smokey flavor is out of this world and you can tell the man that owns the truck knows what he is doing. read more

I ordered takeout on a Friday night and I was not pleased to say the least. I got the two meat combo and a side of macaroni and cheese. The Mac and cheese was definitely store bought and out of the freezer. You can tell just by looking at it and the taste was even worse. I took one bite and threw it away. The pork ribs were basically just bones, meat here and there. Not worth biting into and chipping a tooth. The brisket however was very good. Kudos to whoever got that right. Overall, I won't be trying this restaurant again. read more

We called Mr. G. around noon with a very large order for the same day, and we are VERY glad we got him. four stars for friendly service and the potato salad , which was delicious!! also, i had the cry sauce.. good flavor; quite a kick up front but fades quickly.. well played.. i will come back to get more potato salad and try some other meats.. now, the brisket.. i am a SNOB!! i was originally only going to give three stars but i realized that was super unfair to hold an otherwise excellent bbq joint to my texas standards.. i used to argue with folks about how good brisket can be found anywhere.. that was an ignorant argument as i had not yet experienced texas bbq.. since then i've found exactly one place in this country (and i've travelled the lower 48 extensively) with texas level brisket.. sadly, this isn't it.. don't get me wrong, it was good, but my expectations are next level.. like, you can leave your dentures out because you basically don't have to chew it.. if you know, you know.. my quest continues.. read more
