We went last year also. The place was well attended today. We ordered the Conch and Shrimp dish, which is a popular dish in the Carribean countries as well as in Florida. To begin, the team there is phenomenal. Javi, Ale, Alex, Kayla, Sherry, and the rest of the staff made sure that my husband and I had the most magical night of our lives. They treated me like I was family from the beginning of the planning process to the end, going above and beyond the call of duty to make sure we could relax and enjoy the evening. I felt like I was working with a highly trained Secret Service of sorts: -They used walkie talkies and ear pieces to communicate with each other throughout the night. -They anticipated our needs before we had them (making sure we ate first, bringing us drinks, holding my dress, escorting me, etc.). -They changed light bulbs, mopped up spills as they happened, ran to get cups when my caterer ran out, etc. This team made sure the event ran smoothly and resolved problems that weren't even their fault quickly! At the end of the night, Javi personally delivered some leftovers from the venue to our APARTMENT which was not expected but much appreciated. The venue itself is also gorgeous. It stands out from its peers through its Mission Revival architecture, and it boasts many different rooms, cool furniture, and breathtaking ceremony sites throughout the property. There isn't a lot you have to do in terms of decor/rentals/florals because it's just that beautiful. But you have to see it for yourself to appreciate the beauty. The photos I'm attaching (some professional, some from phone cameras) don't even begin to do it justice. Finally, this is one of the only outdoor venues (if not THE only venue) in Miami that allows you to keep the party going until 1am. My husband and I really wanted to have a long wedding and dance the night away, and this venue had no issue with that. They allow you to pay for extra hours and move you into a spacious indoor room at 11pm to get around the noise ordinance. It was exactly what we wanted. I would recommend this venue to anyone getting married. I have only positive things to say about the Curtiss Mansion and its amazing staff who make people happy for a living.
