The food at slab daddy always hits. They are so good at making bbq. Their Mac and cheese is also delicious, it's not too heavy. The service was so good. The owner takes your order and they bring it to you. Vibes are very casual and chill, outdoor bbq!

Found Miami's best bbq where the food slaps and you don't leave feeling heavy/disgusting after. We came on a Sunday which mean the game was playing and we were lucky though to spot keep it gully. We got some stuff while slab daddy was putting the work in. We got the slab daddy sampler. It's a feast for about 5-6 people but we felt like we could take it down. It comes with everything to satisfy everyone's cravings from wings with a kick, juicy pulled pork, fall off the bone ribs. Brussel sprouts for some greens, a green bean salad to refresh, some rice and beans, a gorgeous max and cheese with some crumps, queso frito annnnd tortillas so you can build the perfect taco. I saved my dessert for last, that cornbread was heavenly. If you want some legit BBQ, with high quality, great vibes and you won't feel heavy after.

This was a decent stop but a bit of a mixed experience for us. It is close to my house so my boyfriend and I figured why not, especially since it was a perfect day to sit outside. It is a food truck with outdoor seating and we went around noon. We ordered the tray for two and the cornbread with jalapeno honey butter was hands down the best part, absolutely delicious. The ribs and meats had good flavor but everything felt like it could have been hotter and fresher, almost like it had been sitting for a bit before being reheated. For the price, I also expected a little more food. I can see the potential here & I would try it again, but it did not totally blow me away this time

Best BBQ ever! Chill vibes that are unmatched and the food is top notch. The best chicken wings I have had in a while and the green bean salad is the star! The salad is so unique yet pleasing to almost anyone. I loved it. Please be sure to visit, you will not regret it! The staff is there to please and they go above and beyond! Pro tip: Furry friends are welcome :)

Awesome BBQ just outside of Wynwood. When we walked in the owner greeted us and gave his suggestions. (I had heard about the place from a friend that recommended it but every time i was in the area it was outside of their business hours) The owner recommended that we do the plate for 2 that way we could get a sampling of multiple options... so that what we went with. The food was all really good! My top picks were the ribs... totally on point.. although they were spare ribs. They not too fatty and seasoned to perfection.. also loved the pork and THAT CORN BREAD!!!!!! While those were my standouts, everything was really good and top tier! Happy to come back and I'll be bringing friends so I can also put them on to SLAB DADDY!

Pretty pretty pretty great BBQ. Brisket divine. Chicken wings juicy. Ribs solid. The green bean salad was great. On our visit the Mac and cheese could have used a touch of salt and the cornbread was on the dryer side but otherwise worth checking out. Huge portions, quick service and very friendly staff. Fun picnic style food truck venue.

One of my favorite local bbq spots! Not traditional bbq but the latin infusion makes it all the better.

Make sure you check out Slab Daddy Barbecue in Miami! The smoked wings were amazing, the staff made sure we were well taken care of and the vibes were unmatched. I'll definitely be coming back!

I love this place. Their brisket us amazing & has me coming back. I love their rice & beans it tastes like grandma's, the cornbread is phenomenal, mac & cheese is good & i love their sauerkraut. Next time I will try the brussel sprouts & green bean salad. The owner is a local Miami guy with great vibes. I went on the weekend & there was an old school dj spinning 90s jams & a vintage clothing market the owners friend had set up. Their lunch special is amazing & I will for sure be back at least once a week for this hell of a deal!!! Oh yeah, bbq sauce is fuego as well!

A must try! BBQ with a Latin fusion twist - a perfect mix of flavors. The best of both worlds. There's something for everyone.

The service was amazing, the venue is extremely casual with some local miami vibes. The food was delicious, the pulled pork was juicy and well seasoned, the ribs were seasoned to perfection and the spicy gold Carolina barbecue sauce simply topped everything off. The brisket was a little dry. The mac & cheese was good. The rice and beans were delicious and very flavorful, and the cornbread was almost perfect (it was sweet and moist, very well done) All in all, I give it 4.5 stars definitely will go back .

My group of 3 walked up to the outdoor hostess, we gave a name for our group, it was about a 30-40 minute wait. It was expected since word of mouth was passed along that this place usually has a wait to be seated. Once we were sat on a booth, we were greeted by the most enthusiastic and knowledgeable waiter, sad to say, I don't remember her name, but the customer service was all the way there! When I scanned through the menu, I wanted to dig all the way in. Keep in mind, I was a bit skeptical since I am not the biggest BBQ fan. For starters we ordered their brisket bacon, brisket wings, and a brisket empanada. We were also told there was a daily special, pulled pork mac & cheese french fries so of course we got an order. Their menu has changed since my initial visit, but it was all a la carte style; we created our own "platter" consisting of Mac and cheese, cafecito ribs, sausage, brisket, corn bread, coleslaw, elote, and maduros. Ooo weee! That's a mouthful and it was damn good. Their brisket meat is smoked to absolute perfection, has a crisp and is still extremely juicy (we ordered lean style). The flavors are all the way there and just explode in your mouth, you can't go here and NOT order their brisket, like cmon. I was very impressed. Now, I'm a carb junkie, so I was a major fan of their Mac and cheese and corn bread. I even took some to go, it was that delicious. You will be in the best food coma after all of that, I know I sure was! Though the food was phenomenal, I have to give up to the front and BOH. The real MVP's. You really see the staff work as a team, it's a sight to see. Our waiter, expos, and manager walked over to our booth throughout our munch time and asked if we were good, how our experience was, etc. The attentiveness was present- that's a lost art in Miami lol, so bravo! Great ambiance, food, and above all things customer service!

It's easy to find right off Bird Road with easy strip mall parking. Upon arriving it sets the mood entirely with great fun appropriate decor and a prompt happy welcome. Staff Makes us feel they are glad we came-What a cool place! We settle on the brisket, baby back ribs, potato salad and beans with brisket. Can I tell you EvErYtHiNg was spot on!! And we plan accordingly to try their famous 12 hour smoked Flan dessert!! 1. Smoked Brisket- moist, perfect flavor, hearty portion, tender and high quality meat. Comes with great sauce, which I didn't use since it was so perfect as is. 2. Smoked Baby Back Ribs- Another hit with healthy portion, great flavor, and super meaty. Honestly, just hard to stop eating it! 3. Baked Beans with Brisket- A true meal unto itself! I could've stopped here! Tons of brisket ground into the beans, almost like the best "chili" ever. Flavor is sophisticated smokiness, not the usual sugary sweet restaurant rendition. Yay! 4. Potato salad is FIRE! Fresh perfectly cooked tender white potatoes, cooked carrots & peas add just enough interest and a magical a touch of mayo. Yes please. 5. 12 hour smoked Flan-STAR * of the show, the flan of my dreams! Staff insisted this flan is all that and they are correct! It's LEGIT. We left with a doggie bag, so worth it. Price was for real, you pay for quality. $74, but we brought plenty home. You could get by with a meal for two around $50-60, if you need. Check out their Later week Happy hour sand weekly specials as well as brunch & breakfast. It's all good here! Thanks for following me-happy spring 2026! ~Tami in Miami

Smoke & Dough... I Went Looking for BBQ... and Found One of the Best Pastrami Sandwiches in South…read moreFlorida Back in my day, going out for BBQ wasn't something you did every weekend. It was a special occasion. If you grew up in Miami, you probably remember The New Hickory on Coral Way. Then there was Uncle Tom's on 8th Street. Great food... but let's be honest... everybody was just a little nervous eating there because it was right next to the cemetery. You'd be halfway through your ribs thinking... "¿Tú crees que ese ruido vino del parking... o del cementerio? Later on we graduated to Luther's on Bird Road and 117th Avenue, and of course, Shorty's, the undisputed king that's been feeding hungry Miamians for generations. These days it seems like a new BBQ place opens every other week in South Florida. I recently tried one of the newer spots in South Miami... except when we got there they were out of half the menu. Nothing kills your BBQ excitement faster than hearing, "Sorry... we're out of brisket." That's like walking into Versailles and hearing they're out of croquetas. So when our friends Ana and Henry invited Betty and me to Smoke & Dough in Kendall, I was ready to get my BBQ on. We walked into this unassuming strip mall, I grabbed the menu, ready to order ribs or brisket... ...and then I saw it. The Pastrami Sandwich. Now THAT got my attention. Finding a really good pastrami sandwich down here isn't easy. Roasters 'N Toasters has a very good one. Lox of Bagels (what many of us still call Lox of Lox) makes a solid one too. But this one... This one beat them both by a mile. The meat was warm, juicy, incredibly flavorful, the cheese perfectly melted, the Thousand Island dressing was just the right amount, and the bread held everything together without falling apart after the second bite... a miracle in itself. And it wasn't one of those fancy little sandwiches you need a magnifying glass to find on the plate. This thing was substantial. I shared it with my wife... ...and I was full. ¡Y yo soy tremendo comelón! Our friends ordered the brisket empanadas, a quiche, and brisket sandwiches that looked absolutely outstanding. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked like somebody back there really cared about what they were serving. The atmosphere surprised me. Instead of feeling like an old-school BBQ joint with picnic tables and sauce bottles everywhere, it feels more like a cozy neighborhood bistro that just happens to know its way around a smoker. Comfortable, relaxed, and the kind of place where nobody is rushing you out the door because another party is waiting. They also have what looked like an excellent selection of wines and craft beers, which gives the place a slightly elevated feel without being pretentious. Now... everybody has been telling me about their famous **Smoked Flan Apparently it's slowly cooked on the barbecue pit for about five hours, giving the creamy custard and caramel a subtle smoky flavor. Believe me... I wanted to try it. But after that pastrami... Game over. There wasn't enough room left. The owners came over, introduced themselves, shared a little of the history behind Smoke & Dough, and made us feel genuinely welcome. Those little moments still matter. You leave feeling like they appreciate your business instead of treating you like the next number in line. Overall, we had a wonderful time. Good food. Great company. Friendly owners. A relaxed atmosphere where you actually want to stay awhile. After our last dining experience at another restaurant where we practically felt like they were timing us with a stopwatch, this was a refreshing change. Will I be back? Absolutely. Not just for the BBQ... I'm coming back to see if that smoked flan lives up to the hype. And maybe... Just maybe... I'll order ,another pastrami sandwich.
