Delicious fried chicken spot! I really loved the tenders, and they have great sandwiches too! My favorite sauce was the sweet chili.

Our food was made fast & fresh. Andre was kind & helpful. My friend's tenders were mild while I ordered hot; we were both happy with our choices. There was ample seating & the interior was clean. I would return.

1/2 Dave's Hot…read moreChicken absolutely lived up to the hype. Judging this purely from a chicken sandwich perspective: this is a solid 4.5 stars. The chicken breast was thick, juicy, and perfectly cooked, with a crispy breading that's boldly seasoned without being overwhelming. I ordered medium heat, and for me it was spot-on -- flavorful, warm, and balanced, not just heat for heat's sake. The bread choice deserves credit too. It holds everything together without stealing the show or feeling overly bready. And the seasoned fries? The perfect sidekick -- well-seasoned, crispy, and exactly what you want with this sandwich. This was a DoorDash order, sparked by my son insisting it was "fire." He wasn't wrong. The packaging was on point, the food arrived hot, fresh, and looking so good that I didn't even pause to take a picture -- I just went straight in. Everything was prepared and delivered perfectly. My only wish? I'd love to see a veggie option on the menu -- even a simple salad would be a great complement. That said, this is still an easy win. I'll absolutely be back -- and next time, I'm going in-store to check the in-store ambience and see if it delivers the way delivery does! -- Dave's Hot Chicken

I was grocery shopping at Whole Foods, and needed a quick bite. I spotted this place, looked it up…read moreon Yelp, and was a bit skeptical by the little amount of reviews. So, I took my chances and I am so glad I did!!! I walked in and was immediately greeted and assisted with my order. Customer service is amazing (while waiting for my food, I could hear the person sing a bit, and he's lowkey good! lol). The place is also bright and clean. I order the Sweet Thai Chili meal (it's one of their most ordered) and it was soooooo good! I really enjoyed the crispiness and how juicy the chicken was. The sauces paired very well. Fluffy brioche bun. I also like the way they cook their fries. Give this place a try! It's pretty darn good. I wouldn't mind coming back at all when I crave a chicken sandwich. I did pay $17 for the meal so a bit pricy for fast food, but it was a good meal so I don't mind it at all.

I stopped for a post deadline dinner the other day at their location right on Biscayne and 29th. I was greeted and taken to one of the self-serve order kiosks. Their menu is pretty varied, including brunch items, and now includes beef burgers. I enjoyed their Thai sweet chili burgers with the mayo-based sauce removed (the order screen is user friendly as far as customization.) The chicken patty is as sizeable as it was flavorful and generous on the sweet but spicy sauce. I'm taking off one star because the fries weren't as crispy as I'd prefer. Still I'd stop by again and try more of their menu.

She is the host of Check, Please! South Floridaand SoFlo Taste and she has appeared on Top Chef, Chopped, and Good Morning America. Michelle Bernstein's Michy's Chicken Shack is located on the second floor of Julia and Henry's food hall. Not sure if it was the crowds or lack of AC but it was hot up there. The stall has a bar counter with pretty stools, and a couple of high tops and tables around it. Chef Bernstein first featured her fried chicken at her upper east side restaurant Michy's which closed in 2014. The fried chicken was one of her most requested dishes so she brougt it back in the form of a fast casual resturant concept, Michy's Chicken Shack, The chicken is marinated overnight in buttermilk and then seasoned with fresh tarragon, Dijon mustard, celery seed, and black pepper before being fried to order. The fried chicken is then featured in sandwiches, salads, and dinners. Sides include coleslaw, cheddar biscuits, and B&B pickles. Dessert is an apple empanada. My friend and I decided to split an order of the chicken tenders served with fries and an order of the cheddar biscuits. I loved the flavor of the chicken and it was juicy but the tenders were not uniformly sized. One of the four pieces was a 1/4 of the size of the other tenders. For $14 it felt like a rip off. Also the cheddar biscuits weren't good at all. They were dry with no seasoning or cheddar flavor. Red Lobster has Michy's beat on their biscuits by a mile. While I was waiting for my food I couldn't help but notice that the clear container used to dreg chicken was left on the floor outside the stall under the window. Not very appetizing or sanitary. I left Michy's disappointed as I expected more from an acclaimed chef led stall. The food is really expensive too which I would not have minded if it was stellar. Unfortunately it fell short for me.
