I was excited to try Soulfly Chicken as I love chicken sandwiches and it lived up to my expectations. The restaurant is small, resembling a ghost kitchen, with 1-2 tables and a few chairs to sit and dine in. Ordering is quick and easy using a kiosk, and once ready, the staff places it in a locker for contactless pickup. I ordered the Taste of South chicken sandwich combo, which was tasty and well-seasoned. The fly sauce is delicious, I wish they offered it on the side for the fries, which are also nicely seasoned as well. There is parking available on both the side and back of the restaurant. You are in and out within 10 minutes of ordering.

Just ok... We loved how easy the ordering process is, you basically order in the kiosk and wait for you food to be ready. Once it's ready they leave the food into a pod and you can open it with a code or by scanning it to get your food. There are 2 small tables inside of you want to eat there but it's more of a place to get your food to go which we liked. Overall the chicken tenders were ok, my husband really enjoyed the burger. We wanted to try the sauces and we thought the order came with at least one sauce but we didn't realize you have to pay extra for each sauce so your order doesn't come with any at all. That was disappointing The food took about 50 min to be ready which seemed like a pretty long wait for 4 tenders and a chicken sandwich too It's a cute place that we'd probably go to only if we're around the area but we'd probably order ahead.

You enter the store, use the kiosk to browse the menu and place your order, and pick it up in your assigned locker (which lists your name). The only thing missing was an estimated timeframe of when your food would be ready. I ended up waiting almost 20 minutes, but would have gone for a walk had I known it would take that long. As for the actual food, the fried chicken sandwich was pretty good, though a bit on the salty side for my taste. At least the meat was juicy, the skin was crunchy, and the bread was soft and tasty. I liked seeing the small but appetizing variety of sandwich options they offered, and the hot honey added a nice slight sweetness to the sandwiches. I also tried the sweet potato biscuit, and that was delicious. Soft, sweet potato flavor, with a bit of glaze on top- just right.

Whole chicken, fried to perfection, not too greasy, well seasoned throughout. Mac and cheese was very cheesy and ouuy gooey, dirty rice,- def worth ordering- flavorful but not salty. collards- they put their foot in it!, sweet potato biscuit, not really my jam, maybe needs a warm honey apple butter or something to razzle dazzle it, but worth trying. wedge fries, coleslaw, are good no frills! candied yam pie, and banana pudding- babyyyyy these two cousins right here, sheesh! They compliment the meal nicely! You can definitely tell the chef had formal training which is hard to find in the same sentence as soul food...and even harder in South Florida! Def 10/10 reccomend, I will be ordering again!!

Disclaimer: I am not the audience for ordering food and picking it up from a box without interacting with human beings. I'm not there yet. So although I'd heard of Soulfly, I wasn't particularly interested in visiting. Nevertheless, was celebrating my mom's birthday and the birthday girl wanted to come here after our wine tasting next door. I'm glad the experience was not as impersonal as I anticipated. Partly because I just didn't feel like sticking to the script but also I couldn't get that doggone pickup situation together. LOL I had so many issues with the code to retrieve my order, it was seriously comical. I did observe others come in, put in the code, get the food and go though. You do have to order on the kiosk but I was able to ask the manager if I could order it like this or that, which he happily made note of for my particular order. There was a little wait for having ordered onsite - things would have felt quicker had I ordered online from offsite then stopped in to pickup when notified the order was ready. I had the wings and cajun rice. Now what surprised me was that chicken! Ok, Soulfly! Very nicely seasoned, good crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside. I was impressed considering my expectations. It reminded me of those good chinese takeout chicken wings. Nice surprise. The cajun rice was just okay for me. The challenges to me coming back are that the price is just high for what you get. I understand there is a cost for "convenience" so it is what it is. However adding $6.54 to the order when I had to do the work to place it then pick it up is.... I don't and won't mind continuing to do things the old school way to pay a more reasonable price for fried chicken in other nearby neighborhoods. Also, no "convenient" parking. I feel like this spot is more geared towards people strolling on the street or for food delivery drivers who will be on a moped only. Overall for the chicken and helpfulness of the onsite staff, I give it a 3.5, not just a 3.

Food flavor is 10/10. We got the tender combo with lemon pepper, wings combo & sweet potato biscuit. I will say the portions are small for the price, only 2 wings and 2 tenders per combo. The biscuit is delicious but more cakey not flakey like a biscuit. Fries & chicken very well seasoned. Price: pricey But quality food.$3 for watery blue cheese is outrageous to me. Service is fast & staff is friendly. Place is clean. Looks like a ghost kitchen concept, only to go no dine in.

Fire hot lemon pepper, more than just tingling. Proper spicy.

After trying this place in a recent Yelp event I was surprised, and on the second trip I was sold. Beyond just being a modern day Automat, the chicken sandwich is genuinely great. My hot lemon pepper with fire sauce provided impressive heat and even more impressive flavor, possibly the best chicken sandwich I've had (in a long while, at least) The sides are decent but not out of this world, the first time my , Mac & Cheese was proper cheesy but my last experience was more like hot buttered noodles. Not inedible as one Yelper described it, but not Mac & Cheese. I've been told the spuds are the way to go, I guess I'll have to go find out for myself...

The food options are good and you get quick quality takeout. I was craving some chicken tenders so I stopped by. I ordered some chicken tenders and a sweet potato biscuit. The tenders are so moist and the portion size is bigger than your average chicken tenders. You have an option for sauces but I find it is too much money $3 per sauce for a small portion. As for the biscuit it is amazing and the flavor is the best part. It is definitely my favorite thing. The overall price is higher than average takeout but okay if you want to treat yourself once in awhile. I will stop by again.

How is this place not the talk of the town? Soulfly chicken must be on the Miami map for BEST fried chicken, chicken sandwich, and chicken tenders HANDS DOWN. I tried it with a very neutral attitude not expecting the best nor the worst. I loved the owners story, origination, food truck come up, and the modern and unique store set up. Not to mention A1 location. I thought to myself I wonder how this will fare against chik fil a...I feel foolish now. This chicken is literally made with love. The classic sandwich is a MUST. It didn't even need extra sauce, you need to savor every bite. I will continue to recommend this place because it truly is that good.

    Taste of the south!
    Natasha L.

Haven't been to chick-fil-a since this place opened. It's superb. Chicken is crispy yet juicy, pickles are crunchy and delicious, and slaw has the perfect amount of tang. Shop is small with two kiosks and a wall of lockers. There's but a single small table, Main complaint for me is the price of the side sauce and the fact there isn't anywhere to sit/eat. Chefs/Cooks are very friendly and amenable to making adjustments when asked. Will be back!

I stopped in to try this cool concept of no in-person contact. The restaurant lobby is small with 2 standing tables- I wish they had more space to sit down but I get it, the concept is fast. I ordered the tenders, taste of the south sandwich, sweet potato biscuits, fries and pickles. The tenders were bigger than my hand! Talk about hot fresh delicious chicken. The flavor was great and the chicken moist. The sandwich was also just so flavorful, all fresh ingredients. The pickles I ate like chips, I couldn't just have 1. The drinks we a little pricey but the food was great and well worth it. I will be back!

FLY YOUR SOUL DOWN TO SOULFLY NOW. I think a good chicken sandwich is hard to come by. Especially when ordering delivery. Everything arrived in mint condition. No sogginess anywhere. This was the perfect size and tasted fresh. I like how they allow you to customize your sauce and spice level. A little on the pricier side considering the sandwiches don't come with a side, but so be it. I'm giving five stars for quality.

From what I've read, Soulfly is still relatively new to the Miami area and was first introduced through a food truck. Now they have their own shop but it's not a traditional fast food place where you place your order with a human behind the counter. Instead, when you walk in, you see a bunch of mailbox looking things where they place customer orders and behind that is the kitchen. To the right are kiosks where you can place your order and pay with card (I can't recall if cash is accepted). I sort of liked it like this because you don't have to awkwardly stare at a menu to narrow down your options while an employee pretends to not stare at you. You feel at peace browsing through the menu. The only limitation is that there isn't a notes section which removes the capability to add things like "please add this ingredient on the side" "please only had a little bit of this sauce" etc. All of their menu items looked super delicious especially their chicken sandwiches. From what I've heard, they're pretty massive so it makes sense why one without fries is $10. I ultimately went with the 3 piece mild chicken wings so I could have an isolated taste of just their chicken to give it a proper rating and a side of Mac and cheese because I couldn't resist. To my surprise, there was an extra wing in the box which was very kind of them. I thought it was pretty good. The chicken was crunchy, juicy, and flavorful, BUT...I think they missed the mark when it came to the spice level. It was not at all spicy and my friend got the "hot" level and said that wasn't spicy so it might be worthwhile to reevaluate the spiciness. I really liked how the full wings was given, rather than just the drum or just the flat or both but without the third small piece. The Mac and cheese was delicious. It's not your stringy cheese kind of Mac and cheese but rather the kind that's gooey. The macaroni was tender, it's a bit oily but that just adds to the good flavor. I wish the chicken came with a biscuit or side of fries to complete the meal. The sauce they give kind of taste like a combination of mayonnaise and a light amount of ketchup with Tabasco hot sauce (it tasted vinegary and a tiny bit spicy). I didn't like the pickles it came with since they were too vinegary. Although the staff is blocked by the mail (food) boxes, they are still there to help you if needed and are very friendly. One thing my friend and I noticed is that you can tell they invest a lot into their packaging and presentation of their food (especially chicken boxes) which is cool but one suggestion would be to go with less "fancy" packaging and consider reducing menu prices with the savings or just to help the environment.

That's why my Mother's Day experience was especially disappointing. From the moment we called the restaurant an hour before our 5pm reservation, to the hostess abandoning the hostess stand to look for menus and when she arrived back, called another party to seat them ahead of us and when I made her aware of this she said oh, I forgot about y'all without even looking me in my eyes, this poor service lasted until the very end of the evening, there seemed to be issues every step of the way. We sent our fish back because the sauce at the bottom was freezing cold and my mom had to ask for S&P for her entree!
