I was craving a good burger, so I looked up a few places. This spot caught my attention and was within walking distance of my hotel. We started with the Mac & Cheese Balls, which came with marinara sauce. They were just okay for me, nothing memorable though. I also ordered a Frozen Strawberry Margarita, and unfortunately, it was a little too watery for my liking. I LOVE frozen drinks, so I'm definitely not a "margarita on the rocks" girl. Give me my drink nice, thick, and frozen! For my burger, I ordered the Meltdown and added a slice of American cheese because, listen... I'm a Cheesehead! The burger was HUGE! And of course, I had not eaten all day, so by the time we got there around 6-something, I was starving and thought ordering all this food was a great idea. I don't know what possessed me! The burger was really good. It was flavorful, satisfying, and definitely bigger than I expected. I only ate half, and honestly, I'm still mad about it because I wanted to finish that whole thing! But there was no way I could do it. We also got the Cheese Fries to share. They were good too! Even though they were covered in cheese, the fries still had a nice crisp to them. Located in Brickell next door to Sweet Caroline's Karaoke, we walked up to this spot and were seated right away around the 8pm on a Friday night. It was our last night in Miami and we pretty much hit all the spots we wanted to go to on our list. So of all options in the area that were walkable, we settled with Burgermeister because the SO was craving a vegan burger. I didn't really have any expectations but it was way better than I expected. We walked in and were seated fairly quickly, but the service itself was a little on the slower side but it's not as bad as it sounds. They had to wipe down our table and clean it up after we were seated. Our server was good but we ended up having to flag down our server whenever we needed something (which, when flagged he was prompt). The atmosphere was more slightly upscale sports bar with TVs all around and 80s and 90s music playing pop hits, more on the rock side. The menu was full of delicious sounding options. I ordered the El Vato burger, Yuca Steak Fries, and Tostones because, well, why not go all out? The Yuca Steak Fries were...fine. There was nothing bad about them but I think they're not as memorable because the other items I ordered were. The El Vato burger, slapped! I normally have mixed feelings about very large burgers where it ends up being a fork and knife, but this worked for me. Super juicy, packed with flavor, and put together like someone actually cared. The guac, pico de gallo, and everything really just worked. And the tostones? Lowkey the unsung heroes of the meal. Perfectly cooked, beautiful, and satisfying. I did not expect to enjoy this restaurant as much as I did. Full disclosure burgers aren't my go-to-meal. But woah!!! The BM Truffle burger had me believing in burgers again. It was stacked so high and had so many delicious ingredients, I was blown away. My friend and I shared the burger, wings with buffalo sauce which were very well done, and we paired it with the Bravas French fries. I have to admit I was expecting more like the Spanish Patatas bravas, but it was just regular fries with a mayo/ketchup type sauce on the side. (Not bad but just not blown away by it like I was by the wings and burger.) We also ordered milkshakes to go. Please do yourself a favor and do so as well. The strawberry was out of this world. What a cute burger spot tucked away in gorgeous and busy Brickell. Service was great. The gentleman that worked there was kind enough to take a photo of me and I was very impressed with his skills. He was also an actor which is always a cool thing to encounter in certain restaurants and cities. The "Italian Job" burger was delicious. FYI: it's a roasted red pepper on top of the burger. Very solid burger, very burger, big toasty buns, but also very hard to eat due to size. You'll need at least 25 napkins for this puppy but it is worth it! Pro tip - I'm a saucy guy so I get extra sauce on the side which might be why I need so many napkins but go for their house made BM sauce if you like the Big Mac type of sauce. Not to mention the server completely messed up my order. And when I say slow I watch 3 different people come in after us who ordered at the bar to go and received their food before us. I was eager to dig in and noticed they unfortunately included a ton of mayo but no ketchup (which I asked for - mayo I had not included in the online order options). I ordered the BM Truffle burger and bravas fries. The burger is certainly worth the money, it's two patties + eggs and bacon and it was HUGE. It caught my eye because I love truffle and when it came out I was stunned by how massive it was. I could barely make a dent!
