It has been years since I popped into Black Market. This past weekend we were out for the Colombia game and downtown Miami was packed. Every bar had lines out the door, and honestly it was so fun to see. Eventually, our group of 9 made it into Black Market in time for the Argentina game at 10 pm. It was a vibe. Now, I know, we didn't have any reservations however the hostess told us that if each person pays at least $150 to spend minimum per person then we can get open seating. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! If I could give them zero stars, I would. My sister-in-law just flew in from DC, and I wanted to show her around. We decided to grab a quick drink to celebrate her landing and a major accomplishment she just achieved. Before I go any further, it's important to note that we are Deaf. We communicate by gesturing and speaking as clearly as we can. From the start, the bartender, a woman, was incredibly rude. When we asked for her drink recommendations, she immediately rolled her eyes and slammed the counter, pointing us to the QR code instead. First red flag. Then, when we received our drinks, we felt they were too light and politely asked if it was possible to add a bit more alcohol. She responded with a disgusted expression and began making a money gesture in a condescending way. Second red flag. What truly upset us was what happened next. She went over to the blonde-haired manager and started explaining the situation while laughing. We were able to read their lips and caught exactly what they were saying. We confronted the manager, and instead of listening or apologizing, she immediately became defensive. She didn't acknowledge anything, let alone offer an apology or a solution.
