This venue has a special place in my heart. Besides being a local staple as I am born and raised on the beach, my husband and I had our first date here. We visit it from time to time for some pool and to have some of the dishes we had on our first date. We love their pizza and wings. Everything is super flavorful, well seasoned. Never too salty. They also used to serve tots which I remember being great but I'm pretty certain are no longer served. The only reason I give it a 4 is because of the cigarette smell. Other than that it's a great place to chill and play pool. Actually one of the only places you can find where you just pay $1 or so per game as opposed to paying by the hour. read more

This is the place to stumble into! Don't waste your time walking in front of everything looking in each bar to see an empty row of barstools. This place is popping! Thursday night is Karaoke and the people in here can sing. You can tell this is a place the locals actually go to. I didn't try the food so I can't speak on that but the drinks were strong and the prices are good, you aren't going to be super overcharged like everywhere else. It's only a block off the beach as well! Tons of pool, video games, and two bars in two connected building. One side is a dance side the other side is a gaming fun side! We went here with my friends, and the food was great and the female bartender was super nice, but when we went to play pool, you have to buy an arcade card. the arcade card was $5 for 15 "points" We got 15 points and the pool table cost 8 points. We went to the bar to explain that the pool table was broken and they it was fine. When we closed out they charged us $20 for one game of pool. I have been to high-end clubs where it's less than that. This nasty bar charged us $20 to play one round of pool when the pool table next to us that unfortunately was occupied only paid equivalent of $3. That is robbery and discrimination & will not be coming back here ever again. I recommend staying away from this bar. Maybe it has to do with the fact that we were only gay people in there. Avoid it all costs, I love a loud bar scene, but I couldn't even hear my friend standing next to me. The energy was not good with the exception of the female Argentianian bartender who is quite kind, but whoever we closed out with was quite rude. 0 stars if I could. We want our money back. read more

After a night out on Ocean Drive, I was craving a more chill, affordable, and honestly, rowdy spot. After walking by some overly seedy places, I stumbled upon this gem. Pool tables, smoking away from the bar, darts, skeeball, friendly people, and cheap drinks. What more can you ask for? Just make sure you don't smoke at the bar or the bartenders will let you know that you messed up! Also, make sure to speak up when ordering your drinks as it is very loud in there. If you're looking for a break from the typical South Beach bar scene, check this place out! read more

I still do not understand why they would have even posted on television, on the internet and other places that they were happy to voluntarily do the "one meal a day deal" for the snap precipitants Because I was literally the only person that went there no one else that I invited to go there wanted to go back. If you think that less fortunate people who have to take food stamps and wait in line for food distribution are evil, worthless not even compliant or deserve help, why do you pretend. The saddest part about the whole few days I had to visit Lost Weekend to get a one meal a day deal I had to literally take all the bullying from the owner and his staff, while whole time pretending like It never happened. There's a bouncer at the front door checking IDs. Inside, it is incredibly loud, has a dimly lit interior, with slow service from the bartender, very crowded for a weeknight, and smoking is permitted inside. We luckily found seating, but it reeked of cigarettes. The floors are uneven and sticky. Our drinks were not strong but cost more than they were worth. I put some money in the jukebox and was able to immediately change the preselected music to my choice, which was fun but gets costly. read more

A bar is only as good as its bartenders, and Wally is a prime example of why this is true. If you're ever here while she's working, you're guaranteed to have a good night. Wally's easily one of the most attentive bartenders in South Beach, arguably in all of Miami. Ever stood at a bar for a half hour waiting for a beer? I have. But not here. And definitely not with Wally. She'll take care of ya! read more

Being from out of town we were looking for somewhere to watch the Superbowl. Lost Weekend was not too far from our hotel. We arrived early and sat right in front of the bar. Not once did we have to ask for another drink. The staff took care of us even on a busy Superbowl Sunday. The prices for drinks were very reasonable for this area. read more

This bar has a great rock "dive bar" fun vibe. 5 pool tables, air hockey, foosball, and skeeball. Great neighborhood spot just off of Ocean Dr. the best part was the service. What a great divey bar in south beach! We decided to check this out for the great happy hour prices--$9 pitchers of miller til 8. They also had daily specials, including a ladies night on Wednesday where women get free drink tickets. Eric was an awesome bartender! We are glad to stumble on this bar on our trip to Miami! Fun, lively atmosphere. Well-priced drinks for Miami and pool tables as well. You can still smoke inside which is definitely a plus since you don't see that much anymore. The ventilation seems pretty good too so the smoking isn't super noticeable when you walk in. read more

What a present surprise in what felt like an endless number of over priced bars and clubs on my recent getaway to Miami. Located on Espanola way (also a very cool area to explore) Lost Weekend is a great dive bar with reasonable drink prices (lots of craft beers) and the very chill environment. They even had a Friday night special (Sky vodka for $6), A welcomed change from cocktails averaging around $14 elsewhere. They had some vintage bar games like skeeball and billiard tables which was cool. My girlfriend and I were visiting Miami for the weekend and it was great fun taking in all of the people here just enjoying their night. We stayed here well into the morning as they are open every day till 5am, god bless Miami! read more

But, unfortunately, the last time I was there, it had become a mediocre Miami establishment with watered-down drinks, and worst of all, they were playing reggaeton! This place was one of the last Miami Beach places that always had classic rock, if not retro 70 & 80s music. I was highly disappointed. read more

The best dive bars are cool, cheap, and unpretentious. This is exactly what you'll find at Lost Weekend. Killer name, too! I think the obvious reason why this place succeeds is due to the fact it sticks out like a sore thumb in comparison to the South Beach bar scene. Pool tables, no dress code, and cheap pitchers of beer. I'm all for a craft cocktail, but you can't beat $16 pitchers. After being on our feet all day, our group of six rested and recharged at Lost Weekend. We sat on bar stools near the pool tables, cracking jokes, downing cheap beer, and cooling off. Yeah, they keep it ice cold here. Normally I run hot, but my tank top couldn't keep up with the cool. The name of this bar could be Low Expectations, and it'd make total sense. And I mean that as a compliment. A true dive bar in the heart of South Beach. I'm very glad we found this poor man's abode! read more

I really like this spot for a change in pace for a night out. It has a cool laid back atmosphere. The food was good, drinks were good, and the service was great. I love the addition of all the games (fooseball, skeeball, air hockey, galaga). The only thing is all the games take quarters so be prepared! The music also wasn't my vibe, but that's a personal preference. Overall a cool spot! read more

This was such a fun place to be in! I love how they have an upstairs area. I went here after seeing a concert in the area and friends wanted to keep the party going by coming here. I love that they have arcade games, and at the bottom it's a bit more chill. Where you can hang out. Definitely a spot worth stopping by. read more

I can't believe it's been nearly a full decade since I originally reviewed this place! I used to be a semi-regular at Lost weekend (with The Alibi in the back corner serving up some tasty bar-style food), but hadn't been here in a few years. I returned late on a recent Friday night for some food, beers and to play a few games of pool. Refreshingly very little, if anything, has changed since I wrote my original review back in 2010. On this visit bartenders were fast and friendly, and though both food and drink prices have risen a bit since I was last here, they were still reasonably priced considering this is SoBe. When ordering food from The Alibi, for instance, I got 6 wings (they gave us 7), a Philly cheese steak sandwich and an order of tater tots for something like $25. Maybe not the cheapest 'bar food' in the world, but it was tasty, enough to fill 2 of us up and again, one must consider SoBe pricing. I'm still a fan of this place..An unpretentious bar where one can come wearing flip flops, a t-shirt and shorts and have a few beers, food, shoot some pool, play air hockey or foosball or watch a game on the big projection screen, with prices that won't break the bank. read more

This is a dive bar staple on the beach. Daily happy hour, Lots of pool tables, Bartenders are fun, Drinks aren't overpriced. If you're trying to escape the usual south beach shenanigans, this is a good place to start (or end... LOL it's open til 4 am). I will say that the first time I went, I got $20 in quarters to play the arcade games only to find out most of them only took dollar bills so I was walking around jingle jangling the rest of the night. read more

For decades Lost Weekend has been the go-to spot for both locals and tourists looking for a good game of pool and cheap beer in South Beach. With a laid-back vibe and no hint of pretension, Lost Weekend is a perfect hybrid of dive bar and sports bar. We have a poker night on Thursdays hosted by The Miami Poker Society, Pool Night on Tuesdays and Sundays, Ladies Night on Wednesdays as well as other special events. Happy Hour is from 4pm - 8pm 7 days. During football season we open at Noon on Sundays. In addition we offer award-winning food every day by The Alibi inside.

The updated interior is nice - very "pubby" - and they offer a good variety of seating from bar seats to high-tops to couches. They've done a good job with the menu in that it still has all those bar foods that you look for in a place like this, but they've put some thought into elevating a number of items (e.g. the short rib poutine!) Second, the service was great. Our server (sorry, can't remember his name - a nice guy from Kendall) was very friendly and provided excellent service. As many reviews mention, this is definitely a place to watch a game. While we weren't there for this purpose last night, the TV setup is great and I could def see myself camping out there with a few beers on a weekend afternoon. As someone who lives in the neighborhood, I'll be back again for sure.

The sandwich was also supposed to come with truffle fries, but instead we were served cold, plain fries. After mentioning it, the solution was to bring us a side of truffle oil and Parmesan cheese and ask us to mix it ourselves. The service was equally disappointing. We asked our server twice for drink refills, but she never brought them. We eventually had to flag down another server just to get our beverages refilled. Overall, this was a frustrating dining experience from start to finish. Between the poor-quality food, unfulfilled promises regarding the bill, and inattentive service, this restaurant fell well below the standard I would expect from a Miami establishment. Years ago I'd come here after the beach, sit on the balcony, people-watch, and cool off with a strong, frozen drink. In that sense, the place is exactly as I remember, with cold drinks on a hot Miami day and a fun atmosphere. Unfortunately, the billing experience completely changed how I felt about our visit. When the check arrived, I noticed the suggested tip percentages were unusual (around 7%, 8%, and 9%). I was planning to leave my normal 20% tip, but then the gentleman behind the bar explained that a 15% gratuity had already been added and the listed percentages would be additional. To be clear: I always tip, and I generally tip well. But adding a gratuity without authorization or clearly disclosing it up front is a big deal. A tip is supposed to be voluntary, and quietly including one, especially in a setting where you're already prompted to add more, feels misleading and wildly inappropriate. That part honestly overshadowed the visit for me. The drinks and the memories are still there, but check your bill carefully before paying. I enjoyed the nostalgia, yet this practice alone makes me hesitant to return. This practice of discretely tipping themselves is borderline theft.
