I was looking for a perfect dive bar experience, and this place delivered. It has that classic beach bar dive feel. Unpretentious, local, and exactly what it should be. Irene was an excellent host and bartender. She was friendly, attentive, and made the place feel welcoming right away. Service like that matters in a spot like this. I needed to grab some cheap drinks, take a load off, and this worked perfectly. On the Rocks is nothing fancy and has no pretense. It's just a solid neighborhood bar with local character and characters, and fair prices. I would definitely come back. read more

No food here but lots of fun! Cellini is the best bartender, she makes the best drinks. Great prices and every Friday there is karaoke until 2am. It's the perfect hole in the wall bar. Very low key yet a great atmosphere to grab drinks & play jenga or poker. read more

Great little dive spot with lots of beach locals. They have good beer selection on draft and full bar. What I love about this place is the cool no frills vibe. There's all sorts of memorabilia around the walls and even on the ceiling. There are pool tables and a side separate room. On this particular night there was karaoke happening. I definitely recommend coming here if you're in the area or just want to experience a local's bar. I don't think they have a kitchen so fyi. read more

Since I leave near I would always see this place busy during the night times. So while waiting for our dinner reservation we figured to stop by and get some drinks. It is everything you can expect from a local dive bar, great prices, helpful bartender, pool table and a distinct odor that smells like a mixture of sweat, cigarettes and liquor. My favorite part was asking the bartender for a menu and she responded by simply saying "it's an open bar". That truly reminded me of the college bar I used to go to in Tallahassee, where most of the customers are regulars and you don't need a menu telling you what to drink. If you're looking to avoid the craziness and the inflated drink prices of South Beach then this place is a good alternative. You get to enjoy some affordable drinks at a chill spot near the beach, I definitely recommend trying it out! read more

This dive bar is full of locals who seem like they are regulars. Definitely an interesting crowd. The drinks were reasonably priced (only $8 per drink). I had a Moscow Mule and my boyfriend had a Tito's soda lime. The back area is trendy but was empty. There is a billiards table, several tvs, a large screen and Jenga. I'm sure it is a good spot to watch a sports game. read more

On a good day it's a chill place to grab some cheap drinks (no food but there is plenty to eat close by) and hang with a good mix of locals and tourists. On a bad day, it reeks of a smell you just can't quite place and is full of cigarette smoke and loud, sloppy drunk folks. I checked out this place over the weekend, with a good friend of mine. It's fairly small, kinda divey but not too much, love the decor. Saturday night was pretty busy lots of people outside, They have a small area with a karaoke stage, A live band was playing. Bartender was very pleasant, service was good! My friend Haleigh P. and I were staying in North Beach for a few days, right around the corner from this dive bar and before we even arrived in Florida, we found it on Yelp, bookmarked it, and planned to spend our first night there. After a long day of traveling we were looking for a lowkey night, some drinks, and hopefully a few games of shooting pool. When we arrived, we were greeted with exactly what we were looking for. Thank you Yelp, for always steering us in the right direction! This dive was within walking distance of where we were staying, was open late even on a Monday, had cheap drinks, friendly bartender, fun locals, and even a few other visitors like ourselves. We had so much fun, we came back on our last night with the same friends we met on night one. If you enjoy dive bars and lowkey fun, this place is perfect for you. read more

Local dive bar and hangout spot straying far away from the usual South Beach bullshit a few miles south. Very eclectic crowd ranging from the average biker boomers, wandering tourists, loyal locals & pretty women who are yet to straighten things out with their fathers. The head bartender Selene is a badass and so is Luka, the always friendly, humble and on-the-move Serbo-Croat owner. Google wasn't kidding when it described this place as a "local watering hole." It's a hole in the wall featuring tipsy loud locals spilling out into the street and terribly watered down drinks. But I really like the spot for its half bar/half dance club location, open people, and acceptable drink prices. Most cocktails are $8. read more

Go here if you love a good dive. Plenty of locals and the drinks are strong. Asked the bartender to make me her version of a Dirty Pickle Martini and it was great. If you don't like the smell of cigs or tobacco, don't come here. But if you aren't stuck up and like to play pool and meet new people, the atmosphere is friendly and there is always some old music playing. Place is apparently open until 5 am!!! read more

The Only Dive in the Area In an area where there is basically nothing to do this bar does the trick. There is heavy smoke in here so keep that in mind, but if your looking for a dive bar to grab a good drink this place does the trick. This place makes Zeke's look like a not-so bad date spot. It's not so much dirty as it is worn in. Hmmm... maybe there really isn't a difference. It's called a sports bar, because they've got 4 or 5 sets playing; but it's mostly just a local dive bar. Everyone is real friendly. If you're a girl, be prepared to be charmed by some 70 year old Salty Casanovas! I've seen it happen. read more

This is the most classic dive bars actually won best dive bar about five or seven years it's been around forever when I want to elementary school in Miami Beach it was around. Great place to meet locals and the beach is min walk away so get wasted and go to the beach read more

I know there are 47 reviews already posted, however I just had to post my overall opinion. I cannot tell you how I find this place every time I go, I just do. I usually find it after midnight. I always find parking right in-front of the business which means street parking is easily accessible, and feesabile. . This is one of those trendier dive bars. There is a jukebox; and if you're smart; you can download the "Touchtones" app, connect it to their jukebox; buy credits and totally dominate the jukebox the whole night, with stupid Whitney songs and Ariana Grande songs, and no one can stop you, and, no one can do anything about it, and you can sit at the end of the bar amused. Or, you can just randomly jam out because your song came on. There's a pool table as well,. Sometimes there's an angry loud big breasted local dominating the table who doesn't want any competition playing, (oh well). The bathrooms are cleaner than most of the other dive bars I have crawled into. I have met the owner, hes a tall Russian guy, and I have met 2 of the many bar ladies; their names are; Tefanie and Marcia. Everyone is friendly. The drinks are cheap, however; they have a $10 minimum for Debit or Credit cards. Overall if you can find this place then you should give it a go if you're in the area. read more

The 10 or 12 tables they have outside are okay - there is an awning to provide shade and when we visited it was in the evening so heat / sun wasn't a huge issue. However, it got pretty windy outside while we were there. Also, you are technically on the sidewalk, so pedestrians, cyclists, and electric scooter riders zip in between the two rows of tables. None of this was a huge issue, but if you want to have more control over your dining environment, inside might be a better choice. The menu provided quite a variety - sandwiches, a bit of pasta, fish, meat, salads, etc. I think any party would have a good chance of satisfying everyone. My wife opted for fish and I got a burger. We both enjoyed our food and had leftovers as well (which ended up being part of the next night's dinner). They also had a full bar; the drink pricing seemed pretty good given the standards of this area. If you are just looking for a standard (or slightly better) American bar food dinner, this is a solid choice.
