Girls Nite Out at Bleau Bar last nite was nice but not exciting. Nice crowd, mixed ages, great Hip Hop music, some Latin sounds, good drinks, beautiful remodeled spot to hang out. Service was great at first but when the next crew came on, the service slowed way down and we had to wait a long time for refills even though it was a slow night. I thought I was going to be WAY more impressed than I was. The "bleau" floor lights were very nice and appealing. We never made it to Liv but we did come here on Monday around 10pm as it was my birthday. It had a decent amount of people around the bar. We were served pretty fast. I went with a "pretty in pink" fast against my better judgement. Something in me told myself I wouldn't like the Prosecco and I was right. The server noticed I wasn't drinking my drink and they offered to make me another drink without Prosecco. This was nice however they put oregano in it. Very interesting. The atmosphere is very alluring and we had a good time all in all. Everywhere you go in Miami the drinks are expensive so I was not surprised. They also add a 20% service fee. Wow, the Fontainebleau hotel is where the party and action is in Miami Beach. I couldn't believe how packed it was in here. The Bleau Bar is located right in the main lobby and overlooks the pool area. There were many bartenders working so the wait wasn't too bad for drinks. Cocktails were $16-18 range, but that's the going rate in Miami Beach. It's a great place to start/end your night. Make sure to Uber if you're not staying in the hotel. The lights and pumping music makes it an inviting space. If you're looking for draft beers and and of the best wings, head downstairs to Michael Mina's Pizza and Burger place. NOT SAFE FOR WOMEN!!!! I am a regular at this bar, i bring clients here regularly from work and i have witnessed several women being assaulted at and around the bar. When reported to security they informed the girls that hotel guests can "do whatever they want". Last night i was assaulted when a man approached me and kissed me on the face (someone i don't know, who saw me, thought i was attractive and grabbed me and kissed me). I had to push this man away and ask the bartender multiple times to grab security. This has happened to me the week before this and the bartender did nothing. Told me that they have to see an assault themselves to report something... which makes no sense considering there are cameras all over the lounge. Security was useless and blamed me, allowing the man back into the bar where he continued to assault 3 other women. Several men witnessed this as well and tried to report him to security and they were useless. read more

Dear Bleau Bar, You are sophisticated and hip, attracting a lively crowd from all over the hotel. Located right in the middle, its the first thing you see when walking into the Hotel. One barely even notice the entrance to LIV on your right, as you enter the Lobby. Your bar is blue from head to toe, and I like that! Personally, the color blue has always been my favorite, and of course it matches well with the name of your Hotel (which translates to Blue Fountain). There's always something going on here and there's always people to watch. When I was here last Saturday there was a charity event of some sort and we saw a lot of celebrities, including Russell Simmons, who walked right past us. The hotel is considered a national architectural landmark. It's fun to be in the lobby bar with the blue floor and pink column in the middle of the bar. It's a comfortable lounge. Drinks are fun, moderately priced and taste good. Service is prompt and courteous. The leather couches are so comfortable. I'll come back when I visit Miami again. Stopped for a drink at Bleau Bar on Sunday evening a bit before our reservation at Hakkasan. I ordered a Mango Ginger cocktail as well sat by the window overlooking the pool area. Quality The drink that I had was pretty unique, as it had a very strong mango flavor, with lots of chunks of mango in the drink. Most of my party had ordered more standard fare, but if not for the size and price I would have been very happy with my drink. Quantity I was shocked when they brought out my drink and it was barely halfway filled. It was still a strong drink, but it was a drink I felt like I took down in two gulps. Value So by no means was I expecting that the hotel lobby bar at the Fontainebleau would be cheap, but for what I was given it was absurd. I would never order a drink from the bar again. Ambiance The Bleau Bar is located right in the main entrance of the Fontainebleau. The bar stands tall around a giant pillar and forms a circular rotation of chairs and couches in the area. It was still early so it was not lit up, but on our way out it was bright neon colors. Since we had a little time to kill we took a seat over by the giant windows that overlook the pool area. It was a nice view, but nothing spectacular where you feel like it really enhances the experience. The music was soft instrumental background music that is typical of a hotel. Crowd It was still early in the evening when we arrived, so the bar area was pretty empty. At this point most hotel visitors were likely still drinking by the pool. However, as we exited the hotel on Sunday evening, you could see a dramatic shift as many people appeared to be heading to the bar before starting their evening fun. Service I was not thrilled by the pour of my drink and I feel either the bartender and the waitress should have done something. At least put the drink in a smaller glass if it is supposed to be a smaller drink so it does not look so blatant. Parking Valet parking can be extremely expensive, but they do have discounted valet for things such as Miami Spice. On this occasion we took a car, just make sure you know that they have a separate pickup area if you did not valet on the southern end of the hotel. Extra Although what the Fontainebleau provides may not be to every persons liking, I am a big believer in the quality of most of their restaurants and service. However, I believe the Bleau Bar is in need of a revamp. For the primary bar in such a giant hotel, I just expected way more. read more

The Bleau Bar is the lobby bar inside the main entrance of the Fountainbleau Hotel, and is really the first thing one sees when entering this place. The first time I'd come to the Fountainbleau post-renovation, I didn't know how I felt about this bar. I mean, you walk into the lobby of this iconic hotel that's been around since the 1950s and see the brass-framed entrance doors and windows, the grand chandeliers overhead, the black and white "bowtie" floor tiles and one can sense that you've just stepped into a special place. Then you look directly ahead and see this modern and in some ways almost futuristic looking lobby bar called the "Bleau Bar" all lit up with colored LED lighting, and it's a complete contrast to the rest of the more traditional and tastefully appointed lobby. Then you order a drink, and the price makes many a SOBE bars' prices look reasonable. That being said, I've been to this bar a few handfuls of times, mostly to meet up with groups of people for dinner at one of the restaurants in the Fountainbleau complex, but more often to come here for a post-dinner drink and to watch "the show". "The Show", of course, is the incredible people watching that starts at about 11:15 as the doors to LIV at the far end of the lobby are about to open. You see the groups of guys who think they're the stuff that every woman must dream about, they walk up to the entrance of LIV all cocky, and are promptly turned away by the doormen because they have no women in their group; You see the very young women who are wearing about 5 layers of makeup and the shortest skirts known to man (sans panties, of course), but who would actually look much more attractive if they'd peel off about 1/2 the makeup. In short, they're dressed and made up in a way that screams "Some guy with an expensive car and bags of cash is gonna take me home tonight and treat me like the pig I'm made up to look like." Then, of course, there are the mother/daughter duos where the mom and daughter are both dressed and made up the same, so the daughter can move in for the kill first, and mom gets all the "spoils" who get turned away by her whelp. In the end, though I still have mixed feelings about the bar, and despise being charged $20 for a mixed drink (though it's generally a strong pour) and may only give the bar itself 3 stars, the people watching and entertainment value when LIV is opening gets a strong 5. Averaged out, we'll give 'er 4 stars overall... read more
