There is a ton of seating and a lot of open space, and the staff was quick to greet us. We ended up getting a few drinks and a couple of appetizers to share. And we ended up being seated next to some locals that were really friendly as well. The staff, the atmosphere, and the drinks were all on point. The food was The only thing that I would say was a little under the mark. There was nothing exactly wrong with it but it was just average for the rest of the space. If we're ever back in the Miami area I would definitely come back here again because of how nice the staff was and how much space the bar had to offer. Which was cool because not only did we get to interact with fellow yelpers but with regular customers. Seems like a lot of people really like this place. All the bartenders were amazing. Came here with our book club & was happily surprised to see they have happy hour until four. Even though the happy hour pricing is not comparable to many places two espresso martinez, 1 cheeseburger slider & an order of tequenos came out to $46 tax & tip included. The only improvement that should be a part of the menu during lunch time are fries. I was surprised that none of the dishes that were sandwiches or burgers did not have a side of fries an option. Overall service was attentive & patient with our group. They did not have an issue having to split up the bill amongst four parties. A cool brewery hidden on the 3rd floor inside a historical landmark. This spot is located in the old post office and courthouse, dating back to 1914, which definitely adds to its charm. I visited recently for a Yelp Elite event and found the space to be very spacious with a large bar, pool tables, and plenty of seating. They had live music playing, but unfortunately, the volume was so high that it was difficult to hold a conversation--it really took away from the experience for me. I tried the Bay Gimlet and the Miami Pale Ale. The bartender took a bit longer than expected to serve them, but I have to admit, both drinks were excellent once they arrived. A few appetizers were offered, but they disappeared almost instantly and weren't enough for the size of the crowd invited. Overall, my experience was just okay. Updating my prior review to reflect my recent great experiences with Biscayne Bay. The space remains gorgeous, the beer good, and the people so lovely. This has become one of my go-to happy hours, pulling me in with $4 core beers. They also have other offerings throughout the week like rotating $3 beers all day Saturday. I had the most delicious saison this last weekend, and at $3 a pop, I got to enjoy a couple! (Proceed with caution) Only complaint is that the food portions are small, both on the happy hour and the main food menu. The rest of the experience is high quality though. read more

I visited the brewery in a historic building downtown, and it was great! They had it decorated for Christmas, which I thought was a nice touch. The place looks new and clean, and even the bathrooms were clean, which is a huge plus. I like that they not only offer beer, but also wines and cocktails. I tried the blackberry açaí sour, and it was good! I wanted to try the mango sour that was on the menu, but they had run out. For food, I tried the four-cheese quesadilla, which was okay; the tequeños with hot honey sauce, hot chicken sliders, and fish dip, all of which were delicious. The chicken in the sliders was juicy, and the hot sauce wasn't overbearing. The fish dip was just right; not too fishy. I also tried the potato skins, which were different from what I'm used to. I was expecting cheesy potato skins, but these were not that. They were still good, with a green sauce on top, though I probably wouldn't order them again. I also wanted to try the stone crab legs, but they had run out of those as well. Keep in mind, I did go in the evening. I have been wanting to try this place for a very long time. I came in on a Thursday night and was served by Bradlus (spl) who did a really nice job of taking our order at the time when we came in. It was still happy hour, my friends and I ordered off the happy hour menu, both food and beer, even though it was ladies night, which we didn't realize that went from 7 to 9. I ordered the fish dip and the Elote side and both were delicious. (The guac on the elote was fresh and tangy) I also ordered the double IPA, which was perfect. I was really disappointed by my experience here. At first glance the place and atmosphere was good, but the staff was not polite and took advantage of half of our group. When asked if we could sample a beer the bartender said no because they were too busy. The place was pretty empty but it was the attitude he said it with. We just ignored it and selected our drinks which he did get fast (but it was just beer) when he went to charge us I noticed that a 22% tip was automatically added which I thought was weird since it was just my one drink. Turns out he selected that tip for himself without my consent. I only know because when a different bartender attended my friend she got to select the tip that she wanted. I understand if a place has an automatic tip included, but giving yourself a 22% tip when you were rude rubbed me the wrong way. I paid $13 for a beer... safe to say I didn't order anything else the whole time I was there. I did mention this to the bartender that helped my friend but she defender the bartender who I assume is a manager. If you come here just be extra alert with the charges they add to the bill. Their weekday happy hour from 4-7 PM is solid, and on Fridays, they offer a great deal--your first beer is just $2. Wouldn't come here expecting a meal, but good for a snack while you drink. They do add on a 20% gratuity to your tab regardless of the amount in your party, so just be aware when you go to pay the bill. This was my second visit to Biscayne Bay Brewing in a beautiful historic building, I think it was a post office or something in the early days. They have a nice happy hour with $10 martinis and lite bites. My friend and I (both of us need to eat gluten-free) actually ordered from the regular menu to get the potato skins. Topped with homemade Green goddess dressing, it was amazing! The happy hour menu had a couple things that we probably could have had customized to be gluten-free, but as of many restaurants during happy hour, they don't really have time to take custom orders so the staff politely let us know that wasn't going to happen. So we turn the menu over and see some to die for potato skins. That worked! The group we were with also had a nice spread of dips and snacks. They do accommodate parties well, and their bartenders appear to really take pride in the custom drinks. There are TVs typically playing sports, and a pool table and some little games here and there. The drinks and food are great here. Just need to check on your guests :) It took us 10 minutes to order and then 25 minutes to get our drinks. We got our apps about 35 minutes later which the wait is fine but our table wasn't checked on or asked if we wanted refills on drinks. I know the bartenders are the severs but you guys should try to help each other out with tables. I had 2 friends leave because their app never came and so we were just waiting for our server to come back before just going up to the bar to cash out. When we finally ordered our refill drinks, one beer never came...so then had to wait for the server to come back and let him know (about 10 minutes). Beer is good but the food choices were lame. We were here 1 year ago today and the menu is not what we remember. We ordered the chicken sliders, Saturday Brisket special, Tequeños and the hummus plate and all were 2 out of 5 stars. Tequeños were definitely frozen. Also, you have no real main burger to write home about. Also, we ordered the cheeseburger sliders and they were not even cooked properly. Less than medium for a frozen burger. They came out almost at room temperature which is not good! They need to get with the program and bring the old menu back! Small bites shared: - BBB Nachos with Pulled pork were so good we ordered another round. - Bluefin Tuna Tataki was so fresh, hearty and perfectly seared, plus we loved the aiolis for dipping. - Wagyu Picanha Tartare with its crunchy crostini's, homemade chimichurri, avocado and lightly flamed wagyu was in a word, heavenly. The host was lovely and trivia night was fun but challenging . I like that you answer the questions on your phone after scanning a QR code so people aren't yelling all the time. I know that they're still newish at hosting, but the acoustics made it very difficult to hear the questions being read so get a table near the front if you can -- was told they'd be getting acoustic foam to help with this later. Also as a suggestion, putting the questions on the big screen as opposed to football from 2021 would've been helpful. Hubby and I came in for a Saturday afternoon date. We walked in and we greeted by a large space with very cute decor. We sat at the bar as we love too. The bartender came and brought us food and drink menus. They had so many lagers on tap. We were so happy as that is my husband's favorite style of beer. They had five different lagers and we tried all of them. We enjoyed each of them. For the food we enjoyed some barbecue. The brisket was so tender. It was absolutely delicious. I met up with friends for Biscayne Bay Brewing's new tasting room in Downtown Miami for their opening night. For one, unlike a lot of breweries they also sell cocktails and not just beer. Besides the light & wheaty Miami Pale Ale (just right for day or early evening drinking), I enjoyed the mildly sweet "Alligator Alley" cocktail. This was a well blended mix of Mt Gay Black Barrel, mint liquor and pineapples. It tasted similar to a mojito and all good. Their food menu is an high end take on bar bites. My group and I ordered literally everything to share, including dessert! My favorites were their Arugula salad (creamy mozzarella, both pesto and pesto vinaigrette & tomatoes), chicken wings (the hot sauce was spicy and not just overwhelming hot), and of course their wagyu, bacon & American cheese). Their creme brûlée with a lightly crispy crust was my sweet ending; the tiramisu was pretty tasty as well. The space is an old loft with lots of exposed concrete and ducts. You can also the brewing tanks. With a great dj, fun is to be had with their pool & foosball tables ( though let's just say I needed more liquid courage ). The employees were helpful and friendly. I came for the soft opening/Friends and Family event, so I'm sure the operations and details of the brewery restaurant will be different at this point in time! But their interior and menu concept give this elevated impression that Downtown Miami could definitely use. They converted the former post office building into a beautiful bar restaurant, complete with a separate dining room for private parties, gaming tables, like foosball, and booths that allow you to gaze at the beer tanks while drinking their products and munch on dishes. The service was friendly and knowledgeable. I felt like when we needed utensils, napkins, water, we were able to find someone very soon to bring it over, if not our server. I was with a big group, so we were able to try a lot of different things. We all enjoyed the slightly crispy, fat tequenos and the cilantro aïoli that came with them, and the chicken, wings, large sized and nicely sauced. The arugula, tomato, burrata was pretty and fresh. I'm just not sure if I would pay $24 for it. I think one of our favorites was the Wagyu Picanha Crostini, since it was not only finished with a blow torch at our table, but it was fresh and nicely seasoned. We all enjoyed pieces of the Colorado Wagyu Burger, I for one liked the caramelized onions on it. But we were a little saddened by the fries that came with it since they were over fried. They came off like potato straws and left no potato substance inside. I have since heard that Biscayne Bay Brewing's draft are changing constantly, so I'm not sure if you'll be able to find the same brews that we had. However, if you can find the Mahou on their tap list, it's definitely worth a try. It had the best balance of body and slight bitterness without losing any flavor. I tried the two cocktails they had available, and the Margaloma was delightful. I love the idea of combining tequila, Mezcal, guava, and grapefruit juice in a harmonious drink.
