Time isn't wasted - certainly not on a Friday night - when you're enjoying a new brewery with friends. I met up with friends for Biscayne Bay Brewing's new tasting room in Downtown Miami for their opening night. For one, unlike a lot of breweries they also sell cocktails and not just beer. Besides the light & wheaty Miami Pale Ale (just right for day or early evening drinking), I enjoyed the mildly sweet "Alligator Alley" cocktail. This was a well blended mix of Mt Gay Black Barrel, mint liquor and pineapples. It tasted similar to a mojito and all good. Their food menu is an high end take on bar bites. My group and I ordered literally everything to share, including dessert! My favorites were their Arugula salad (creamy mozzarella, both pesto and pesto vinaigrette & tomatoes), chicken wings (the hot sauce was spicy and not just overwhelming hot), and of course their wagyu, bacon & American cheese). Their creme brûlée with a lightly crispy crust was my sweet ending; the tiramisu was pretty tasty as well. The space is an old loft with lots of exposed concrete and ducts. You can also the brewing tanks. With a great dj, fun is to be had with their pool & foosball tables ( though let's just say I needed more liquid courage ). The employees were helpful and friendly. All in all, a welcome addition to downtown Miami's nightlife scene and cool spot to enjoy your weekend. read more

I came for the soft opening/Friends and Family event, so I'm sure the operations and details of the brewery restaurant will be different at this point in time! But their interior and menu concept give this elevated impression that Downtown Miami could definitely use. They converted the former post office building into a beautiful bar restaurant, complete with a separate dining room for private parties, gaming tables, like foosball, and booths that allow you to gaze at the beer tanks while drinking their products and munch on dishes. The service was friendly and knowledgeable. I felt like when we needed utensils, napkins, water, we were able to find someone very soon to bring it over, if not our server. I was with a big group, so we were able to try a lot of different things. We all enjoyed the slightly crispy, fat tequenos and the cilantro aïoli that came with them, and the chicken, wings, large sized and nicely sauced. The arugula, tomato, burrata was pretty and fresh. I'm just not sure if I would pay $24 for it. I think one of our favorites was the Wagyu Picanha Crostini, since it was not only finished with a blow torch at our table, but it was fresh and nicely seasoned. We all enjoyed pieces of the Colorado Wagyu Burger, I for one liked the caramelized onions on it. But we were a little saddened by the fries that came with it since they were over fried. They came off like potato straws and left no potato substance inside. I have since heard that Biscayne Bay Brewing's draft are changing constantly, so I'm not sure if you'll be able to find the same brews that we had. However, if you can find the Mahou on their tap list, it's definitely worth a try. It had the best balance of body and slight bitterness without losing any flavor. I tried the two cocktails they had available, and the Margaloma was delightful. I love the idea of combining tequila, Mezcal, guava, and grapefruit juice in a harmonious drink. Finally made it to Biscayne Bay Brewing and although it was a little hard to find it was worth the visit! We happened to visit on a Saturday during the Olympics and lucked out with some Happy Hour specials, our bartender/server Marino was great! He was busy behind the bar but attended to us at our table with a smile and welcoming attitude we would definitely come back during his shift! The beer was cold the food was tasty and the space was comfortable! If you haven't made the trek Downtown to give them a try I recommend that you do! read more

Visiting Miami and decided to try this downtown brewery. Elevator was broken so the four flights we had to climb gave us an excuse to drink more beer. We sate at a high top and as expected the bar had many sports games on to choose from. They also have a pool table and foosball to play for free. I started with a nice flight of different beers and our server gave me two free of a new batch they were making. Wife had a nice expresso martini. We then had some shrimp tacos, their version of tater tots and some chicken sliders. The food was decent for a brewery. Fun brewing company bar in the old bank building. Thursday has a free beer hour and a ladies night! The Pilsner was crisp and light perfect for warmer weather. It's a bigger space downtown with TVs, a pool table, a foosball table, and a private room if you want something more intimate. It definitely has the potential to become a great spot for sports watch parties, but they do have some kinks to work out in order to get there (i.e. TV's not properly set up for NFL by 1pm on a Sunday, bar closes midway through SNF, audio doesnt always align with TV video, etc.). They seem to be working on it, though. For now, it's a fun, low-key spot with upscale bar food, craft cocktails, a great happy hour, and a great Thursday ladies night. read more

I've been coming to Biscayne Brewery since before their downtown location opened. The Doral location was a lot closer but their new spot makes the drive worth it to be honest. Relocated on the third floor of an old U.S postal office, the expansion is something you have to see for yourself. I was lucky enough to make it to the soft opening when they reopened and I swear my friends and I had everything on the menu. My favorite items were the provoleta cheese pizza, the tequenos with that to-die-for cilantro salsita and the burger. From their tap, I love the Marlin's lager and the golden ale. Last visit, I went for happy hour and unknowingly, ended up having some drinks for their ladies night special!!! It's honestly such a good deal. You basically order any drink off their cocktail menu and only pay taxes and gratuity. Every Thursday 7-9pm. I recommend this place to anyone in the area or if youre visiting from out of town. It's got a unique touch of miami, the staff is always friendly and you have an array of food and drink options. Great for groups and one on one outings! read more

I was very happy to have a brewery open up near us and of course had to go to the grand opening when it happened. Despite being such a big event, service was still great and they had a wide variety of beers on tap and some sophisticated food options (honestly a little fancier than expected!). The location is so-so (the surrounding area isn't the best) but the building itself is great and when you enter the elevator lobby you feel like you've stumbled on a secret. Subsequent visits have been less ideal--when I went around Christmas they were sold out of almost all their beer! Odd thing to happen to a brewery. Still, great addition to downtown. read more

It was my second time coming here. I first stumbled upon this place through a networking event. It's such a cool vibe and they have a great beer selection. The only con is I feel like every time I come and order a beer, they're out of it and I have to choose something else. A lover of breweries, Biscayne Bay did not disappoint! Went on a Saturday ~7pm with friends and had such a good time. It's located inside an older building, up in the 3rd floor and once inside it's pretty spacious with their tanks to one side and then open space with tables and booths to the other. They also have a big screen towards the back that's perfect for gathering to watch a big game of any sport. Now to the important stuff: Drinks: -My favorite was the nitro raspberry ale; it's important to note that I like sour beers so this is the closest they have to it. -the Mahou was also really good and I'd say on the lighter side -the Alhambra really is full-bodied as it says on the description -although I'm not the biggest fan of IPAs, the Tropical IPA is a great choice for those that do enjoy them -the Margaloma is a good mix between a margarita and a Paloma and the smoky flavor is not overwhelming however if you don't like Mezcal, I don't think this is the drink for you as the smokiness is still very much so present Foods: - biting into one of the tequeños was like biting into a little piece of cheesy heaven and the garlic aioli is the perfect complement for them -most instagram-able experience were the Wagyu Picanha Crostini; get your camera ready if you want to capture the flames cooking up your steak bites as your server use their mini torches. Flavor wise did think it was missing a little something and I'd probably not order this again -adding mushroom to your four cheese flatbread seems like a MUST to me. The mushroom really added to the flavor -the Wagyu burger was *chef's kiss* and definitely hit the spot. Just the right amount of bacon and cheese to make a great burger, every bite just as tasty as the last. -Crème brûlée was just the right amount of creamy and sweet. I'd broil the top just a bit more but I'm no chef and I still ate it so take that as you will. -Tiramisu was just as good as the crème brûlée... I really did try as much food as possible and I was nearing a food coma but made it to the tiramisu. Now for the equally as important: staff was great and very helpful. I had the pleasure of trying the newly opened and much needed restaurant and wholistic vibe known as Biscayne Bay and I was not disappointed. The decor is very open, with large windows, live plants, neutrals and just open atmosphere that gives you a feeling like you're outside, but hey you're inside with AC baby! If you like Beer you're in luck, if you like cocktails you're also in luck. PRO TIP: if you like Paloma's their twist to it the "Margaloma" with tequila and mezcal is refreshing and just a mood setter. As for food my favorite shareables have to be the Wagyu Picanha Crostini (see video) which comes with a bed of avocados and chimichuri sauce is delicious. The BlueFin Tuna Tataki is beautifully seasoned and it's so tender you would think the tuna had never worked out a day in its life. Maybe it's just me but I'm a whore for Wagyu and if make it into a burger you can sign me up. This Colorado Wagyu Burger on a brioche bun with sautéed onions and bacon slaps harder then Chris Brown inside a Lamborghini. The service, the food, the drinks, and the vibes are great! Very cool new spot in downtown! The brewery is located on the 3rd floor of a historic building and renovated beautifully. It has a nice open atmosphere with a big bar in the middle and tables around with lots of tvs (for sports) and games too. They also had a weekend happy hour $6 draft beers 2-6 and $8 bites! The food was good- typical brewery menu like burgers, sandwiches, and apps. I asked for the bratwurst but they were out of brats so substituted a beef hot dog. It was still tasty and came on a pretzel bun with cooked onions, sauerkraut, mustard, and a side of fries (very hot and crispy but soft on inside). We also had the smash burger which was average; cooked medium well and needed more of a sauce or something but still good. They had a limited selection of beers and had no light beers like Lager/Pilsner. We had the pumpkin spice ale which was very flavorful and pumpkin y! We also had the raspberry ale which tasted like juice it was super easy to drink. My only complaint is that neither were that cold. The service was fine- food and drinks came out timely (maybe a bit on the slow side) and waiter was helpful with questions we had. read more

Came Friday night right after they opened. Very nice vibe and good food and drink selection. However service was slow. The first server took our orders, but 15 minutes later another server came and said he'd take over our table, but the order he brought us was wrong. It seems they had two large parties on both ends of the brewery and this caused some confusion. It also delayed our food and drinks significantly; almost an hour from seating to food. The entrees came before the app so we canceled the app. The food and drinks were very good though. I would come again with hopes that service improves. read more

Great place to go grab some drinks and have fun. This renewed place is fantastic even to go watch your favorite sport. They have a big 360° bar with a lot of screens and there is also a huge screen on one side of the place to watch as well. Visited on a Saturday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised to have made it in time for their 2pm-6pm daily happy hour. Also, BBB is pet-friendly indoors! They have a great space on the third floor with lots of natural light, plants, and assorted seating so we were able to find a comfy spot where two dogs would not be overstimulated. Service wasn't great, as we were unclear if someone was going to take our order or if we were supposed to order at the bar (we were wrong multiple times, somehow, because both bar staff and waitstaff were annoyed at us). 2 of beers listed on the marquee menu were out when we got there, leaving about 7 still on draft, and you should definitely ignore the printed menu because while it's displayed at the bar, about half of the beers on the printed menu are no longer being served (including my fave, La Colada). Unfortunately, I brought my friends here for the IPAs/DIPAs and those were the two that were out. They didn't love their pale ale, so we didn't stay much longer except for me to try the only two dark-ish beers on the menu. The red ale is a skip (staff described is as a Guinness without the malt but that's the best part). But the cherry stout was really nice! Heavy but like a liquid slice of cherry choco pie. I also had a sip of the nitro rubaeus, and you like a fruit forward but not quiet cider beer, it was a great choice. We opted not to order food as we did not stay long, but the ambiance seemed great to bring a group of friends. I've had their cocktails in the past, and can certainly see myself having a few rounds during trivia Thursdays. Street parking (with the majority of spots being loading zones M-Sat) and a relatively unmarked entrance into the lobby area (the building has BBB flags, but the door does not). 3 blocks from Government Station so easy to make it a metrorail day. read more

Had a great time at Biscayne Bay Brewing. For food we tried the tequeños, wagyu burger, and a chorizo flatbread. Everything was delicious. The tequeños in particular were heavenly. For drinks we decided to sample a flight of the tropical IPA, lemon squeeze, buenas noches, and el roble. All the beers were delicious, my personal favorite being the tropical IPA. The venue is very spacious and has ample seating so it doesn't feel too crowded. I love that they have an array of board games to enjoy while having some drinks. Their live music was also very enjoyable. They also have great service and the waiters are very knowledgeable about the beer selection! I will definitely be back! read more

I recently had the pleasure of attending a friends and family event in this newly opened brewery, I must say, Biscayne Bay Brewing has the potential to quickly become a hotspot for beer, enthusiastic and social gatherings alike. When I first arrive the hostess had a friendly smile, she welcomed me and my group and guided us to take the elevator to the 3rd floor. As soon as the elevator doors open I felt the change in scenery that reassembled a New York vibe with its industrial-chic decore and warm ambiance setting the stage for a fun time. There is a second hostess that also greets you and helps with your reservation. Once at the table our server Marino was super attentive, very knowledgeable of the menu and it's specific plates ingredients. What I ordered signature cocktails: Alligator alley, very aromatic with earthy tones. The Margaloma, more like their take on a mule with a Margarita twist, interestingly good. Food: Tequeños are a 10/10 honestly one of the best tequeños I've had. They were warm, with lots of cheese, the dough was just the perfect amount. BlueFin Tuna, as fresh as it gets, my favorite sauce was the wasabi mayo, this is a great snack to pair with their beer (Alhambra). Crisp, full of flavor; as my boyfriend described it: best Pilsner he's had. Over all the experience was great, in contrast, however, my expectations for the Wagyu Picanha Crostini were higher than what they delivered, the meat quality was impeccable however the flavor lacked seasoning, maybe a more savory sauce would of done it. In conclusion, I highly recommend this brewery. You will most certainly enjoy. read more

I have been looking for a good brewery place close to Brickell and I found this gem, I went in at date night with my fiance and they have a small but imaginative menu and everything was delicious, the beer are delicious and I would even say they're on the artesanal side of the brewing process, it's a great spot, fun, games for free, flat screen TV's and no drunks ambiance ir any sketchy vibes. read more

Really discouraging/disheartening interaction with one of your bartenders, Rob, while at BBB for a professional event. Basically, the event included beer and wine drink tickets, but Bartender Rob made an exception and made a cocktail for someone using a ticket. My friend saw that he made an exception and asked for the same cocktail. He said he made an exception for the other girl because she was "pretty" and then proceeded to tell my friend that she was not pretty. I know this is Miami and all but I was shocked at how rude he was with zero pena. He was so rude to my friend although it was his decision to make an exception for someone. I like BBB a lot, but I will ask that our organization no longer hold events here. read more
