This was a cool little brewery just off Washington Avenue, and the last official stop of the pub crawl I attended last night. We got there pretty much around last call but still had friendly service. The bar has a nice diorama of Ocean Drive, and they also sell merchandise even including a baby onesie with 'Microbrew' printed. What a find on South Beach! Such a secluded place in the middle of the bustling beach. It is nice and relaxing in the bar. Really cool Key West look to the place. Great drinks that are made on-site. We walked in just for drinks, but stayed for the comedy show. It was such a good experience, and different than everything else in the area. This local Miami Beach tap house is walkable in the area just off Washington Street. We enjoyed the patio area for a couple pints. The outside seating was comfortable with cushions for the seats. Their food menu has many options, but I was looking for a fish taco, no go here. Pork and chicken tacos, but no fish. Enjoyed two different beers and both had great flavor and were cold. I can't think of another time in which I've gotten a beer flight and every single beer was a winner! This place is awesome. I went on a weekday evening during my vacation and ordered the nachos and the pretzel. Both were so delicious. I was glad to see some accomodations to the menu for vegetarian people. My friend isn't that into beer and got a cocktail here and even that was good. The place is small but the outdoor seating is cozy and comfortable with great ambient music. The bar area was hoping with regulars. The staff were super funny and attentive. Ill definitely be back next time I'm in Miami Beach. read more

This was a perfect end to an evening on South Beach! It's tucked away off of Washington Ave. The main building looks like a taco shack in a quiet beach town. The patio area has comfortable seating and is separated from 11th Street by hedges, which do a good job of erasing the hustle and bustle (and smells!) of South Beach. We opted for the guava hefeweizen and the blood orange IPA. I loved the hefeweizen - tart and slightly fruity. The blood orange IPA was a little sweet but also good. The owner / manager who took care of us said they had a limited kitchen menu. We opted for the nachos, the fries and the pretzel bites. All of the food hit the spot! If basic bar food is what you are looking for, you'll get it here! The service was very friendly (the cook even brought us our food and made sure we were happy!) but they seem short staffed, so it was a little slow. As long as you are down for enjoying a relaxing hour or two tucked away from the busy-ness of South Beach, you'll be very happy with your visit here! read more

5 stars. Food was amazing. We had the beer cheese and pretzels, the 11th street chicken tacos and the pulled pork Sandwich. The beer cheese was probably the best I've had. The fries that came with the pulled pork sandwich were seasoned with sweet paprika and some other deliciousness(think BBQ chips) that was top notch. Beers were good too. My wife had the strawberry orange mimosa sparkling ale and loved it. I had the blood orange sunset hazy ipa and the south beach light. Would definitely come back. read more

This is such a fun place. Sitting outdoors is great, but I prefer the bar counter. The beer is crafted in place and you have a ton of selections. The food is also good... nothing extraordinary, just finger-food, but made to fit their beers perfectly. The cook came out of the kitchen to ask us if the food was to our liking, and the Juan the bartender likes to talk to you making your time at the counter even better. South Beach Brewing reminded me a lot of my favorite local brewery, but with more tourists interspersed with the locals and ever-so-slightly warmer weather in February. I wound up here on a Friday night in mid-February when my friends had wandered into Miami for a fancier dinner and I'd elected to stay longer at the beach. After a sandwich at Puerto Sagua, with time to spare before we met back up, I moseyed over to South Beach Brewing, and found several seats available at the bar. People were friendly. The man sitting next to me without a beer turned out to be the chef, originally from Chile, waiting for the next order. The bartender had moved south from Traverse City and neither rushed me nor lead me astray. The guava hefe was a solid beer, and the blood orange IPA was good enough that I enjoyed another two days later when I found it at the airport. The patrons rotated throughout the evening. A local couple who stopped in for a drink and enjoyed one of the bar games before moving on to their next stop. An Oregonian solo traveler flying out the next day. An Irish couple who had just been engaged earlier that day and who had already encountered South Beach Brewing beer earlier on their trip. A couple from Los Angeles who were in South Beach to "escape the cold", proving that "cold" is a relative term. Two local women, one originally from the area, one originally from Mexico, who were among the more regular crowd. What stood out was that all were up for interacting with and learning about the other patrons. It's a social brewery, just like my favorite local one. Go there with a friend, or go there by yourself, but expect to meet people either way. To me, that's the best combination - good beer, good atmosphere, and good socialization means that, with time, you'll make friends, and hear interesting stories along the way, and that's worth going back for. read more

What a hidden gem! We stopped in for a few drinks and an appetizer on a Saturday evening. The seating is all outdoors and the vibe was very relaxing and comfortable. Our waitress was wonderful - so friendly and quick! We tried 3 of their beers and a cocktail - all were great! I regret that we did not come here hungrier, because our appetizers were SO good! You MUST try the IPA chile con queso. I am still thinking about that. I really hoped to come back for breakfast but we unfortunately ran out of time. To my surprise South Beach does not have the brewery selection Tampa has. I'm from Tampa so I'm used to checking out the vast breweries there. To continue spoiling myself with craft brew I had to find a brewery in South Beach while visiting. I was pleasantly surprised when I found South Beach Brewing Company. It's local, it's woman owned, it's got indoor outdoor seating, it's clean and the folks that work/own the brewery are very very nice! South Beach Brewing also serves food which I can't review but the dine-in area is so delightfully tropically colorfully decorated. 2 bathrooms which are both super clean and spacious. Too bad I don't live nearby or I'd be a regular! read more

Great spot! It's only a couple blocks off Ocean drive and is definitely worth stopping by! Their "sparkling ales" were really surprising and delicious and we enjoyed both the strawberry orange mimosa and the peach Bellini version! And the service was absolutely amazing. The little 4oz beer glasses were so cute and are hand painted and they had the coolest model of ocean drive at the bar! read more

I wondered how I had never been here before since I work for the cruise lines and come to Miami all the time, but it turns out it JUST opened. The vibe, decor and beers are deluxe and I chatted with owner Chelsea who's also from NYC and she worked her buns off to open this place and it shows. SO good. In south beach visiting and was craving a good beer. Came here and got a flight at 8pm on a Friday night. Bartender ignored me for a bit and helped others around me instead. Went to South Beach Brewing Company on Monday early evening. Sad to say, but offers nothing to warrant a visit. Boring and poorly maintained beer in a unpleasant space. Quality: South Beach Brewing Company has three beers, a Blood Orange Sunset Hazy IPA, a Strawberry Orange Mimosa Sparkling Ale, and a South Peach Bellini Sparkling Blonde Ale. None are particularly exciting. They are made to be warm weather beach beers with fruity flavors that have been forced into them. The two ales would work better as seltzers, while the IPA lacks standard IPA traits. If you are a brewery and going to do three beers, you need to do them better. Quantity: Four 5oz pours in the Flight. Value: $10 for Beer Flight. Ambiance: South Beach Brewing Company opened a beer garden in the outside area of a hostel. There is a fairly large seating area as the space is shared with a restaurant and a separate bar. I immediately spotted a problem with the beer area very exposed to the sun, which explains the warmer than normal beer. Some tables get a little shade, but I could not imagine visiting the area during the sunnier hours of the day. Crowd: No one on Monday evening. Service: Terrible. The staff did not know what beer was on draft, had zero knowledge of beers, and was not particularly good at operating the taps. One staff person went so far as to tell me that a cider was recently replaced by a lager that tasted pretty much the same. It also took four different people to finally produce my Flight of beers, which were not the right temperature. They then rushed to close me out, even though I was the only person there.
