Funky Buddha is such a cool spot and honestly a must if you're into craft beer. The beers are unique, fun, and definitely worth exploring -- there's something for everyone whether you're a serious beer person or just looking to try something new. We did a flight and it was the perfect way to sample everything. My personal favorite ended up being the Hefeweizen -- smooth, flavorful, and exactly what I wanted. The variety across the flight was impressive and every pour had its own personality. The space is huge and has this laid back, fun energy that makes it easy to just settle in and stay a while. I visited Funky Buddha on 2/28/26 with a group of 8 adults and 6 kids, so we definitely put the experience to the test as a larger party. When we were first seated, our server unfortunately wasn't very friendly or attentive, which set a disappointing tone at the start. However, I brought the concern to the manager, Tonya, and she handled the situation immediately. She was incredibly kind, professional, and genuinely apologetic. You can tell she truly cares about the guest experience, and her quick action completely turned things around for us. After that, everything improved. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, with plenty of space for a larger group like ours. The food came out fresh and promptly and the drinks were just as good. It's a great spot to relax, especially if you're going out with friends or family, even your pets. I really appreciated how seriously Tonya took our concern and how efficiently she resolved it. Because of her, what started off as a less than ideal experience ended on a very positive note. I would definitely give Funky Buddha another visit and hope for a smoother start next time! I was introduced to the tastiness that is Funky Buddha a few years ago so here I am, discovering the brewery. As we walked in, it seemed like a busy afternoon for the establishment. They were a few parties happening at the same time as the space is large and wide to accommodate. A hostess walked up to us and instructed us to sit where ever we wanted and a waiter will be over soon. We waited 15 mins. I finally lost patience, went up to the bar and requested menus. I let the same hostess know we are still waiting for a waiter. 20 mins later, no service. We finally managed to flag someone down who apologized and took our order. As I'd forgotten what I liked here, I ordered the flight with a few recommendations from our waitress. Beer was smooth. The kind of smooth where you forget you're drinking and join in on the party at the next table karaoke session. We all had a blast. lol Food was delicious. I especially loved the yucca fries. Perfectly fried on the outside and gooey on the inside. The candied bacon was also a hit. The brewery is stylish and lively, perfect for a chill session. I gather that this was probably one of the busier times, hence the poor service. I will give them another shot soon, if only for the beer and yucca fries. read more

I have been to Funky Buddha so many times, I can't believe I've never done a review! This is one of my favorite breweries because they have great beer, yummy food, live music and events, plus free parking! On my recent visit, I went on a Friday night. There was a moderate crowd inside, but it's a big place, so there was no problem securing a table. The servers were quick to greet us and make sure we had menus. They had a singer/guitar player that was playing great music, not too loud, not too quiet. The menu has many different food, options, salads, sandwiches, and shareable bites. I ordered the Bavarian pretzel that comes with two sauces. We got 2 of the same sauce.....beer cheese. It was delicious and perfect to share for $10. My husband and I also shared the Honey Hot Fried Chicken Sandwich. It was $18 and came with a choice of several sides. It was really good and not too hot at all. One friend ordered the Cuban sandwich, $15, and he really liked it which is high praise since he's actually Cuban. The other friend got the meatball sub which was thick and covered with melty cheese. He said it was great. $16 But to be honest, what does everyone usually come here for;.....,,,the beer! They have a pretty large variety of their regular brews, (IPA's, lagers, stouts, sours, Hefeweizens,,etc.,) plus some rotating seasonal beers. They brew one of my all-time favorites, Floridian, and that is what I always get unless I'm lucky enough to come here when they have the Tropical Floridian which is even better in my opinion! They also just started offering some seltzers that actually come with THC! (I haven't tried those yet!) Overall, Funky Buddha is a great place to go and come hang for happy hour, have dinner, or even come and meet new people. They usually have lots of games on the scattered tvs and they have board games and table games that you can bring and play at your table. I stopped by Funky Buddha Brewery on a weekday afternoon and had such a fun time! This place has a really cool and relaxed vibe -- lots of space to hang out, indoor and outdoor seating, games like bocce ball and giant Jenga, and plenty of people enjoying flights and pints. The atmosphere is casual but lively, ideal for grabbing drinks with friends or unwinding after work. The beer selection is awesome -- they've got everything from quirky flavored brews to solid classics, and the staff were happy to talk through options and recommend something based on what I like. I tried a few different pours and really enjoyed the variety and creativity. The food from the kitchen paired well with the beers -- small plates like pretzels with beer cheese and sliders were tasty and hit the spot. It's not fine dining by any stretch, but the menu compliments the beer experience perfectly. Service was friendly and helpful overall, though it felt a bit busy at times so drinks took a minute to come out -- but nothing that killed the vibe. I have to admit, it has been a few years since I have visited this brewery. I attended often in its very early years, and then it kind of fell off my radar because it's not super close to where we live. But when my friends and I decided to come here for happy hour, I was reminded of all the reasons why I loved this place initially. They have a happy hour that ends at 6:30, and there's a special discounted menu for some great appetizers, including a hamburger. We had a bunch of shared appetizers, and the major standouts were the pretzel, eggplant fries (OMG good!!), and the tuna tostones. Even though the brewery was quite busy, our server was attentive and made sure our orders went in before the 6:30 discount deadline. Of course, their beer is still as good as all those years ago. I was not aware that the original owners had purchased their brewery back, so I'm happy to see that it is truly a locally-owned brewery again. Funky Buddha is just as hopping as ever. There are murals on the wall, depicting local Florida scenes and the beer brewery process. There are a mixture of differently sized tables and couches to suit any party. I know there are also spaces that can be reserved for large gatherings. There is a decently sized public parking lot outside that's free. I am glad I had a chance to come back here and enjoy their great beer and food. This place is back on my radar, and I will return soon. read more

After 8 years I finally made it to Funky Buddha Brewery. A friend had a birthday party and I stopped by. This must be the largest brewery hall in South Florida. The bar counter is huge and there are a lot of long tables perfect for parties. The interior street art and murals are super cool. Obviously the Funky Buddha logo is prominent in beer bottles, t-shirts and walls (Maybe sacrilegious to Buddhists...can you imagine Funky Jesus Christ crucifixes at Funky Jesus Christ Brewery?). Food was basic bar fare and bites, mostly fried. It was ok, nothing memorable. There are a lot of beer drafts and bottles to choose from. Hard liquor is also available. Crowds were having fun, almost a frat atmosphere. The loud freight and Brightline trains running past about 15 feet from the brewery add to the funky ambiance. Mid-week girls' night at Funky Buddha? Say less. We stopped into Funky Buddha with some girlfriends and somehow stumbled straight into a full-on Mardi Gras party. Beads were flying, music was pumping, and I'm happy to report I did not have to show any naughty bits to earn mine. A win is a win. Even better? The beer was ice cold and the wings were on point. I come here pretty often but realized I've never actually written a review -- and that needs correcting. The vibe here is just plain fun. It's the kind of place where you'll see every type of customer -- families, friend groups, date nights, young professionals -- and everyone just seems genuinely happy to be there. Funky Buddha is a Fort Lauderdale staple that must be visited and enjoyed by every local and anyone visiting Broward County. It's a place that represents the county. As a matter of fact, my friends and I decided to watch game 6 of the Stanley Cup series there. The atmosphere was electric, beers, and drinks were flowing like water. The interior was packed and there were people celebrating outside. When the Panthers won we realized we had picked the right place as the celebration was endless. Plus, parking is free thanks to the city of Oakland park and I'm certain the lobbying of the businesses on the area. One of the things I learned that night was that Funky Buddha was first establish by locals in Boca Raton around 2006, then the brand quickly grew to cult following levels and was quickly bought by a multi-national brand. But the owners were not done yet, and wanted to continue providing the same level of service as they had before, so they bought their company back from the multi-national and continue to operate it to this day. The quality of their service and their love for the craft shows in the many different options and the creativity still being poured in their beers. For that I highly recommend them. read more

Loved it here!! If I lived closed I'd be here all of the time. We sat outside on their patio, although there was plenty of seating inside as well. And a band was playing. The patio had lots of tables and space. And it was cooler sitting outside in the evening. We ordered a flight of IPAs and burgers; I absolutely loved everything. We were there for the 12th anniversary party of Funky Buddah! Place was full but not overly packed . We found seats at a large table top and shared the table with a few others. Live band playing while we were watching the soccer game. For food I had the greek salad with grilled chicken. Big portion and lots of dressing. Great spot! LOVE BREWERY's they all have their own spin! Great selection of brews on tap! from light to darks - you can get a flight and try whichever you like. Wish they did half pours (wife and I like to share) so our server split beer ;) great service! You can either sit at the bar and order or you can sit yourself and have a server. Love how they all work together and you dont need to wait on your server per say! Food is great also we had: Tuna Tostones (raw) / wings and Double smash burger (not all for me just fyi) LOL! all was great, you can get your wings grilled or fried one tip is if you ask for them to be grilled ask for them to well done. (Mine were a bit underdone) but still good. Great atmosphere kid friendly if kids are under 21 make sure you dont go after 8pm as they dont allow and dogs either other then service dogs. Came here for a Florida Panthers game and it was a great time. It gets very very busy during Playoff games. If you want a seat, best to get there an hour and a half before the game. Once the hour mark until game time hit there were no seats open. Great vibe if you are a Panthers fan , tons of TVs with sound (although you could barely hear it, got to blast it up!) Food was good, ordered the double smash burger and each bite melted in my mouth. Definitely would order again. Fries were ok, for the price they really should give a little more too, portions were small. The beers were awesome, the Blueberry Cobbler was incredible. The blueberry/Cinnamon/Vanilla combo smacks. It was very busy but service was pretty lack luster, there ordering / serving system is a little weird, not the most efficient as it's kind of a free for all. Wow! There was so much happening here for a Tuesday night. On the front patio was a bonsai class, in the main room there was a private party and in the back room a poker night. And with all that- there was still plenty of room for us for dinner, and the place was packed! I'll definitely have to follow up on all the activities and events funky Buddha hosts, because it definitely seems like the place to be. It is seat yourself- which had its pros and cons. Pros- sit yourself right away- we found a high top for 3, fairly easily. Downside- all the plates and glasses were removed but the table was dirty. Because we sat ourselves, one of us went to find a menu - only found 1 paper copy. Secondly, no one came to us to wait on us. It took us flagging down a waitress bringing drinks to a different table or ask if we could order (and this was easily 10 minutes before we caught her attention). It's definitely a fun atmosphere- outdoor and indoor seating. High tops and comfy couches for lounging with tables too. It's a really large space. Almost like a garage/warehouse that had that garage style door wide open. You are steps away from the train tracks and we caught several passing by throughout the night. Which was unique. We ordered some buffalo wings for the table- an appetizer which came with 7 and cooked well. Also ordered the falafel sandwich which was surprisingly delicious paired with fries- equally good! We had a couple sodas and one friend got an ipa and ordered steak tacos to go (which I'm told were good). The menu is small- and some staples you'd expect (I.e. nachos, mozarella sticks) were not present. But we were satisfied with our choices. We will return! read more

100% the best brewery in South Florida! They have a wide selection of beer and the property is huge. If you go into their game room you can get a glimpse of their big production space, which is really fun for beer enthusiasts. I love their beers. I went during happy hour on a Thursday and it wasn't very crowded. In 2007, Funky Buddha Brewery began as an experimental craft brewery lounge in Boca Raton operated by Ryan Sentz. By 2010 Ryan was brewing his own beer and serving it at the lounge. In 2011 he developed the gold medal winning Maple Bacon Coffee Porter, reminiscent of a syrupy diner morning breakfast. The success the beer led to Funky Buddha Brewery opening a 20,000-square-foot production warehouse on North Dixie Highway in Oakland Parkin 2013. In 2015 they started offering food and doubled their square footage igniting a renaissance in the downtown Oakland Park area and the craft brewery industry. In 2017, the Funky Buddha brand was sold to Constellation Brands, a U.S. distribution company for beers such as Corona, Modelo and Pacifico. When Constellation made the decision to exit the craft brewery industry, Ryan and KC Sentz bought Funky Buddha back. As the banquet business continues to grow, they obtained a spirits license and added craft cocktails to the menu. Future plans include a small batch spirit distillery. I have been to Funky Buddha countless times through the years, most recently during the Small Biz Saturday Local Makers Market. Funky Buddha is looking better than ever with new murals, a comfy lounge area, and an updated menu. My favorite beer is the Floridian, a smooth German-style wheat beer with notes of tropical fruit and spice encapsulating what makes Florida so special. Table for 2 for Dinner We walked in without a reservation and were told we could seat ourselves. Within about 7 minutes, someone brought over a couple of menus, and shortly after, another team member stopped by to check in and ask if we'd been there before -- we hadn't. As we settled in and looked over the menu, we asked to see the full list of beer selections. The menu was extensive -- pages and pages of beer options, plus a short list of rotating specials. We both decided to go with beer flights so we could sample a variety. When our server came back around, we each picked out five different beers, and we also placed an order for a couple of appetizers to share: the tater tots topped with beer cheese and the jerk chicken wings. As we were getting into our flights and comparing notes on what we liked, the food showed up -- incredibly fast. Everything came out hot and fresh, and we genuinely enjoyed everything. If you're looking to explore a local Fort Lauderdale brewery with a wide beer selection and quick, satisfying food, this is definitely a spot worth checking out. Great place to watch the Panther hockey game. The bar and lights turn red for the team color. Plenty of tv's and Panther fans. There was a special Memorial Day weekend food and drink special. Unique barbecue foods like ribs with blueberry barbecue sauce that come on a platter with red potato salad, corn on the cob and watermelon. Beer flights with 5 different beers which included a blueberry cobbler that was really good. The brightline train track is right next to the side patio and was really fun to watch as it rides by. This place is huge, but has a great vibe. We accidentally wound up visiting for a corporate event on the night of a Florida Panthers playoff watch party, and wow! It was a party for sure. Behind the public space is a huge warehouse area that becomes a funky function space with all kinds of room and plenty of oak barrels for atmosphere. We dined at various food stations, including a custom pasta bar. Of course, the draft beer varieties are plentiful, as are the craft cocktails. But the food is where this place really shone. For apps, we tried the kartoffelpufffer (potato latkes) 9/10. I ordered the beet salad with chicken and definitely think this is the best salad I've had in a long time (high praise as a frequent salad eater). Perfectly sweet candied pecans, goat cheese, beets and pickled onions with a yummy berry vinaigrette. Smothered chicken sandwich was perfect -- no notes at all, 100/10.
