Today was fried pickle appetizer, Ruben and fries and burger and fries. Washed down with nice bloody.

Okay, so I feel this is goi g to seem bias. I love Spencer's Corner Bar. This awesome venue is nestled in Wilton Manors. Yes, the gaybor hood of Fort Lauderdale. That should not deter anyone looking for a great outdoor or in door dinning. The food is always good. I would believe the best Ruben and fries anywhere. I am a Ruben snob. The burgers are meaty and delicious made to order. I just love the mid century decor and the friendly service. They never disappoint. Oh, I almost missed mentioning the onion soup....yum! There are million restaurants in FLL, this is my favorite.

Spencer's Corner Bar is much more like a restaurant or pub. With an inside bar plus indoor and covered outdoor tables, it's a nice casual spot to eat and drink on the Drive. Outdoor heat lamps are fired up when necessary. Service staff are all friendly and welcoming. The menu features more than bar food, with hot and cold sandwiches and entrees. My favorite is the Chicken Pot Pie. Made with chunks of chicken, fresh veggies and homemade pastry crust, the pie is delicious and filling. I'd give a hard pass to the Fish & Chips. The fish came out very over fried, overcooked and dry. Friends agreed and wouldn't help me with it. Luckily I had also ordered French Onion Soup. I can't pass this up. It's piping hot and full of melted onions and cheese. Also, it's not too salty as many places easily overpour the sodium. Another favorite is the homemade meatloaf. Comfort food just like Mom used to make. No wonder Spencer's is so popular. There will likely be a wait for dinner tables most evenings. Happy hour is every day of the week. Where else can you get glass of house wine for $6 to go with your dinner?

Stopped by on a bustling Wednesday evening for a light bite. Many friends told me that Spencer's is the best bang on The Drive and I concur. Immediately greeted and offered a two top up front. From what I could see, the place was packed inside and out (patio!). The efficient server brought our iced teas and took our orders. Me: French onion soup and crab cake app. He: French onion soup and a wedge salad. The soup was yummy with added salt + pepper. My crab cake was crabby enough and my dining partner raved about his salad. Can't wait to return for entrees. Spencer's looks to be a favorite amongst the locals. They do a fine job. Kudos!

Michael's attention and service to my party was great! The ambiance is casual with at least two bars and outdoor seating seating. The food was delish!! Had to take to-go boxes.

Thread inside a Crab Cake Sandwich

I have been a customer for some time of this place but today I went there for lunch and ordered a Crab Cake Sandwich and it came with a thread or a floss inside of it. Disgusting!!!!!

Recently I went to Spencer's for a meal and I loved the food and the drinks. The staff was very pleasant and friendly. I got the Grilled Atlantic salmon fillet which came with a brown sugar & Dijon mustard glaze, served with rice and fresh broccoli. Delicate, light and delicious. The drinks were also well made and reasonably priced. They have a few parking spots right in front of the restaurant for customers.

What a nice local restaurant with seating inside and out. The food is excellent and service is very good. I'd come back when visiting the area.

Our favorites were the catch of the day shrimp, Cajun fries, Korean barbecue meatballs and Philly cheesesteak. The garlic parm fries were decent and we didn't care for the steak pieces. 10/10 would recommend overall.

So we went at 7pm on a Wednesday. What's playing on TV was not available, was told to use QR code, so easy peasy. So the counter staff was pleasantly, we ordered: rabbit hole salad and the patty melt to go. Maybe should be eaten there, right away. Didn't stand up to a quick ride home. BOTH meals looked sad and not worth $50, as was $20 each, gave $3 tip for to go. Probably won't return! It's probably great for vegans who don't require quality or taste, just gut it out to remain vegan. Salad had no flavor really, it was " overdressed", just kale dressed in an underwhelming sauce. Tons of it where it was soggy. Chips of fake chicken I guess, that was flavorless. Partners patty melt was just so so. I'm sad! You ever wanted to really like something, so you force it. We love going to local spots to support folks but we demand excellence. I wasn't expecting Coopers HAWK, but wanted some flavor. It's like not even as good as Whole Foods, which is pricey like this but good. Patty melt was average, and not worth $20. The onions saved it, but too expensive for us. Fries were limp, not well made. Now I will say, we do go to dives, so we didn't need Sonness (by the way Sonness is beyond fab!). So, we can do " dive vegan" but we cant do expensive average. It survives because often the beach crowds are too tipsy or high to care, or average is OK due to being snowbirds. Im sure these reviews aren't fake, so will chop this up to a bad night for the cooks! Stop by if you are vegan, committed to this lifestyle, then its good enough. We are in good shape medically, have more allegiance to our wallet than a movement. My partner makes great, fresh salads, so I can stay home for below average greens. But if you are committed and need to just get out, try it. I think a vegan frozen meal, Amy's is better. The salad wasn't horrible, just not worth the price. $20 for soggy, no flavor. Nope! I need flavor, price, freshness mix. Also they could do better with the ambiance. When you walk up, it seemed sad. It was empty, but zero personality. They need some music, it was quiet, somewhat moodless! Even dives have a little music. Rabbits have music LOL! Wish them luck! They have been around a while, so maybe they had better days! Why show stuff on TV that's not offered, pretty photos but disappointing for us. Good news, they are surrounded by great things, Italian to the right, Max to the left, pizza to the left. And Foundry at the end of other side! Partner ate half burger, trashed it. I ate 1/4 salad, trash. $50 in the garbage. I gotta laugh as we sat in our couch, we walked in and after 10 min, the energy felt off to me. We read the menu first. I said to my mate, "let's go elsewhere" after staff said, don't have this or that. My mate said, lets see. I went along. Intuition is never wrong! Trust yout gut, give it a try! Maybe tonight was just an off night! Go try it! Maybe it will be better for you! Im sure those reviews are real but maybe that real cook was off, amd we ended up with the no talent crew!

For dinner, he got the honey chicken Sammy with sidewinder fries, and I went with the chimmichurri steak frites with curly fries... SO good. Everything came out piping hot, quickly, and you can tell the food and drinks are really thoughtfully crafted. What stood out most, though, was the customer service. The three main staff members Drew, Mel, and Darian (I think?) were incredible. Every single one of them went above and beyond for every guest the entire time. When we arrived, there were just a couple tables outside, but once it started raining, they seamlessly accommodated everyone inside without missing a beat. The vibe is such a cool mix, neighborhood spot meets speakeasy meets tiki with a slightly elevated feel, but still super comfortable. Everyone in the place seemed to know each other or quickly became friends. The music was great, and by 7:30 the live entertainment started, he was funny, engaging, and talented. We got there just in time to catch the tail end of happy hour for our first drink, and from there it just kept getting better. Drew, the bartender, even went out of his way to make me a specialty drink I had seen on Yelp that's no longer on the menu, such a thoughtful touch. By 7:30 on a Wednesday, the place was packed, which says everything. Exceptional service, amazing food, great drinks, and an all around fun, welcoming atmosphere. We'll absolutely be back.

You ever open a drink menu and immediately realize... yeah, you're not leaving anytime soon?…read more That was me at Twice Removed Gastropub. Because this isn't one of those places where you scan the menu, shrug, and say "I'll just take a beer." No no. This is the kind of spot where every cocktail sounds like it has a backstory... and you suddenly trust the bartender more than yourself. Creative. Unique. Actually delicious. Not just trying to be different for the sake of it. These drinks land. And if cocktails aren't your thing, don't worry... the beer and cider lineup is deep. Drafts, bottles, cans... it's like they said, "Why limit happiness?" And honestly? That's the tone of the whole place. Welcoming. Comfortable. The kind of vibe where you could show up for one drink and accidentally solve all your life problems over three. Now let's talk food. Because this is where things get interesting... in a good way, mostly. The meatballs? Legit. The kind that make you pause mid-conversation just to acknowledge what's happening. The poutine... I mean, I'm legally obligated to say it... poutine routine. Couldn't resist. And thankfully, neither should you. It delivers. The sliders? Cooked perfectly. Juicy, balanced, exactly what you want. But... There's a small twist in the plot. That bacon jam. Someone in the kitchen is in love. And I respect it. But they might be a little too generous. It leans heavy. Not a dealbreaker, just a "whoa, okay, I see you" moment. Micro twist? You'll say you're full... and then still find yourself reaching for one more bite like it owes you money. Here's the bottom line. Twice Removed Gastropub knows exactly what it is. Great drinks. Solid food. A place that feels easy the second you walk in and even harder to leave. Four stars. And one of those spots you quietly hope doesn't get too popular... because you're already planning your next visit.

We were coming from Hallandale, we had an 8pm reservation got seated around 815 which wasn't too bad. We were sat in a dimmer quieter section away which I really appreciate since our 1 year old was sleeping giving us the perfect date-night setting. Unfortunately the last time we been to Shooters was Valentine's Day 2025. We weren't aware that the menu had been changed since our last time dining which was rather unfortunate since the two entrees (seared brown butter scallops & shrimp and grilled soy-ginger glazed salmon) we came for were changed on the menu. We ended up getting the soy glazed salmon and scallops & prawns which unfortunately we did not enjoy at all. Even the sides were different previously you could just get a side of Mac now you can only get a side of truffle Mac? The grilled soy ginger salmon was on a bed of veggies (bok choy, Napa cabbage, onions, peppers) the one that's currently on the menu was basically on two inedible pieces of bok choy and a bed of rice I couldn't even break and chew the bok choy. Our server Ava was very attentive and sweet even gave a beautiful little treat for a birthday dessert ( not a chocolate fan but her energy made the dessert amazing ). After we paid our check we asked Ava for a manager and did specify that it was regarding the food more and not her service. I didn't catch the name of the manager we spoke to but her response to us simply questioning the menu change was she's not the culinary director or something along those lines but she would still hear our feedback. She just had such an I don't care attitude about it in my opinion and had I not had a few drinks in my system, trying to enjoy my time out with my family and birthday I would've let her know her attitude regarding it just was unnecessary. We unfortunately agreed to find a new go-to restaurant to celebrate our special occasions since so much has changed. Thank you so much to Ava for making our visit worth it! Didn't get pictures of the salmon, scallops, drinks or oysters that we got but I did get the fish dip and the dessert. Edited to add pictures from one of our previous visits
