This place was on my list for years!! The food was phenomenal and there is such a large selection which is not very common for vegan options- we got the cheese fries and the smoke in the woods. The flavor of the vegan cheese on the fries was amazing and the fries came out hot and fresh. The smoke in the woods came with the bbq chicken, mac n cheese, toast, and corn -- all of which were seasoned very well and delicious. The only reason I am not giving a full five stars is because I felt like it was very pricey for the amount of food we got (you'll see pictured). The portion sizes were limited. Ended up paying $70 for one cheese fries order and two smoke in the woods orders.
BELIEVE THE HYPE! The food is absolutely wonderful. The service is great and the restaurant is small but cute. Our favorites were the catch of the day shrimp, Cajun fries, Korean barbecue meatballs and Philly cheesesteak. The garlic parm fries were decent and we didn't care for the steak pieces. 10/10 would recommend overall.
We ordered for delivery - thankful they would deliver as far away as we were - and were super happy we did! I had the Rabbit Food Salad with Daring Chicken. The flavor on this salad was INCREDIBLE and one of the best things I've had from a vegan restaurant in a while. This place made me wish I lived in Fort Laud so I could eat it every day. The portion size was humongous and I did have enough for more than one meal. Looking forward to being back in town and sharing this restaurant with my honey bunny. Down the Rabbit Hole we shall go, every visit to Fort Laud we make!
Well, we really wanted to try this place. Photos and review didn't live up to the hype for us. We are not vegan, but we wanted to give it a go for a break in our routine! So we went at 7pm on a Wednesday. What's playing on TV was not available, was told to use QR code, so easy peasy. So the counter staff was pleasantly, we ordered: rabbit hole salad and the patty melt to go. Maybe should be eaten there, right away. Didn't stand up to a quick ride home. BOTH meals looked sad and not worth $50, as was $20 each, gave $3 tip for to go. Probably won't return! It's probably great for vegans who don't require quality or taste, just gut it out to remain vegan. Salad had no flavor really, it was " overdressed", just kale dressed in an underwhelming sauce. Tons of it where it was soggy. Chips of fake chicken I guess, that was flavorless. Partners patty melt was just so so. I'm sad! You ever wanted to really like something, so you force it. We love going to local spots to support folks but we demand excellence. I wasn't expecting Coopers HAWK, but wanted some flavor. It's like not even as good as Whole Foods, which is pricey like this but good. Patty melt was average, and not worth $20. The onions saved it, but too expensive for us. Fries were limp, not well made. Now I will say, we do go to dives, so we didn't need Sonness (by the way Sonness is beyond fab!). So, we can do " dive vegan" but we cant do expensive average. It survives because often the beach crowds are too tipsy or high to care, or average is OK due to being snowbirds. Im sure these reviews aren't fake, so will chop this up to a bad night for the cooks! Stop by if you are vegan, committed to this lifestyle, then its good enough. We are in good shape medically, have more allegiance to our wallet than a movement. My partner makes great, fresh salads, so I can stay home for below average greens. But if you are committed and need to just get out, try it. I think a vegan frozen meal, Amy's is better. The salad wasn't horrible, just not worth the price. $20 for soggy, no flavor. Nope! I need flavor, price, freshness mix. Also they could do better with the ambiance. When you walk up, it seemed sad. It was empty, but zero personality. They need some music, it was quiet, somewhat moodless! Even dives have a little music. Rabbits have music LOL! Wish them luck! They have been around a while, so maybe they had better days! Why show stuff on TV that's not offered, pretty photos but disappointing for us. Good news, they are surrounded by great things, Italian to the right, Max to the left, pizza to the left. And Foundry at the end of other side! Partner ate half burger,trashed it. I ate 1/4 salad, trash. $50 in the garbage. I gotta laugh as we sat in our couch, we walked in and after 10 min, the energy felt off to me. We read the menu first. I said to my mate, "let's go elsewhere" after staff said, don't have this or that. My mate said, lets see. I went along. Intuition is never wrong! Trust yout gut, give it a try! Maybe tonight was just an off night! Go try it! Maybe it will be better for you! Im sure those reviews are real but maybe that real cook was off, amd we ended up with the no talent crew!
Fantastic vegan food with a soul food bent. Service and ambience have a hole in the wall charm 5 star food: I suppose I'm pescatarian and always impressed when there's vegan fare that mimics chicken or fish. My faux jerk chicken was amazingly good. Greens were spiced just right too 5 star service: the kids behind the counter are sweet and helpful. They also give you an accurate prediction of length for food prep time 5 star ambience: despite its strip mall location, inside it feels intimate and almost like a tiny rural cafe. There are sidewalk tables too, if a nice day.
My very dear friend is vegan. She said that I had to try her favorite place. She sent me the link and we were headed to eat. When we arrived I realized why she wanted me to familiarize myself w the menu. It's not only a large menu, you order at the counter. When your food is ready, they bring it to you. We had her pup with us so we sat outside. The weather was perfect. She ordered the French fries and the BBQ ribs. The fries were big and and the serving was a nice size too. Her ribs had a southern style sauce. They tasted just like boneless ribs would taste, consistency too! I had the regular "Rabbit Food" salad and the IMPOSSIBLE Korean BBQ meat balls. They had a nice bite and flavor. I preferred that sauce over her ribs. The balls were sprinkled with sesame seeds and green onions. The salad was perfect for one. If you want to share, try the dinner size. The salad was amazing. I could have eaten 3 more! We also ordered the GIGANTIC pretzel. They were not lying, this thing was huge! Perfect for sharing, it was served with a spicy mustard sauce and a cheeze sauce. From a non-vegan, this place was fantastic. A great place for a vegan to show off how vegan food can be versatile and delicious. I hope we go back real soon.
Still delicious as always. Stopped in for a casual dinner outside. They don't have a menu so we were asked to use our phone with a QR code. I suggest they have printed ones, as over the web, you cannot read the full description of the item as it cuts off. My hubby with Buffalo "chicken" over fries. I had ab old fave, the barbecue platter with plant based meat, Texas toast, grilled corn on the cob, and man n cheese. We thoroughly enjoyed our comfort food which was cooked to perfection. We really are fortunate to have such an amazing vegan spot nearby. My husband is a carnivore and lives this place. As it was a cool evening, it was lovely to sit outside. This large still mall has many restaurants, so it's great to enjoy their outside seating. You order inside but a server brings you your meal. They're popular for take out orders, too.
Came for my vegan sister's birthday. The food was really really good. The truffle fries are phenomenally crisp. My favorite was the honey wings. Delish Philly cheesesteak and the pulled pork bbq. Hard to believe it was all vegan. Both me and my son are carnivores. It's counter service but there are seats outdoor and in.
I was looking for a simple but great vegan restaurant in the area, and came upon The Rabbit Hole. Lucky me, it was absolutely delicious! I ordered the Freedom Wrap with Fries from their summer menu and a side of Mac n Cheese to go. The wrap was decent, fries were good (and great ranch), but the Mac n cheese was amazing! Hard to describe except it tasted like Thanksgiving. The employees were so kind and quick to help. The restaurant is small but vegan vibes centered and has plenty of space to eat. Would definitely recommend and will be back! Visited again and got the Smile Pile and Rabbit Food salad. Delicious!!
Yesterday, we went to the Rabbit Hole for lunch, and the food was incredible. Not only was it delicious, but the portion sizes were also generous. The staff was very nice and helpful, and our food was made fresh; we only waited 15 minutes for it. My husband and I started with the Hungry Man fries, which we couldn't finish. I had a patty melt with a side of their delicious salad, while my husband ordered the 5 Boroughs-chopped cheese with fries. For dessert, we shared a slice of their amazing cheesecake topped with fruit. I am truly grateful to have a local restaurant where we can enjoy tasty and cruelty-free food without breaking the bank. Please support your local vegan restaurants they need our support more than ever
My friend suggested this vegan spot for our Saturday brunch meetup. Their hours are a bit confusing because it was different on Apple Maps and Google Maps, but it was opened by the time we arrived there. I tried their jerk "chicken" and it was delicious even though it was fully plant-based. Their Mac and cheese is very good and I would recommend trying it. The spot is an order at the counter style and the staff were friendly. There's also ample seating outside which we picked since it was a beautiful day out. I can't believe their menu is fully plant based. Give it a try!
One of the best vegan restaurants in SoFlo, especially for soul food options! If you're looking for variety and to try something new, their menu has a lot of choices. Nice ambiance. Friendly staff. Everything is fresh and tasty! Check it out if ever you're in the Pompano area. Hopefully they will open a second location in Ft. Lauderdale or Palm Beach County.

Best vegan food in Florida hands down! I live in LA and I never find vegan food in any other state that is as good as ours. This is in my top 3 in the country for sure! We tried so many things. The Korean BBQ meatballs were bomb. The bbq plate was bomb. Everything was so good! I'll be dreaming of it until I'm back in Florida again! read more
The food is great, no complaints. We had the delicious Mac and cheese, a hero with French fries and a very fresh delicious salad. The service is good, very friendly but a little slow. My issue was it's very dirty. I haven't seen this level of filth since Coney Island in NY. It's unusual to see such a dirty place in a pristine strip mall in Pompano. Very unpleasant, grease covered windows where the sun shines through the filthy glass highlighting every smudge. The tables are sticky, the floors are sticky and even the sidewalk entrance in front has a path of grease and dirt that is looking very bad especially since all the other stores are clean in front. You guys nailed the food, it's really tasty but we won't be coming back. We spent almost $90 for lunch, we want to sit in a clean area. Do better. read more

In short: the best vegan food you may ever stumble across Their motto is elevated vegan comfort cuisine and they most definitely nailed that ! This amazingly delicious restaurant is located in an unassuming strip plaza. Since I am not vegan, I would have never came here if it weren't for the stellar yelp reviews and also my pescatarian companion. You order at the front counter and then they bring out your food when it is ready. The young man taking orders was super bubbly and helped us decide on a smorgasbord of items. We got the hungry man fries, 10 pieces of boneless wings, collard greens and the big grin. The big grin is creamy house made vegan Mac n cheese that is topped with tender marinated plant based steak medallions. This vegan Mac n cheese was better than many non vegan versions I have tried! We could not stop eating it! Next was the hungry man fries. Seasoned freis that are topped with pork belly, seared steak, bbq ribs and all underneath cheddar and mozzarella cheese , smothered in golden bbq sauce, ranch, tomato and sour cream. These fries are what dreams are made of . The boneless wings were unreal and the collard greens were very delicious as well. I had to keep reminding myself the entire meal that this was vegan! It feels like sorcery honestly haha! Vegans and omnivores alike, head to this place if you want the most scrumptious meal of your life! read more
4 1/2 stars. Very favorable first impression for this non vegan. Shared the meatball appetizers which were delicious. My main was the Daring Dragon stir fry which was just as good and enough for the next day. My son loved the BBQ with sides of mac&cheese, collards, and cornbread. Loved it. Those that had the salads said they were delicious but not as plentiful as they hoped. Tried the cobbler and carrot cake for desert and both yummy. Staff is very friendly and the place is super clean. Noticed a very brisk takeout business. Will return for sure. read more
First off, I've never been to a Vegan restaurant. I saw a video post about the owner and his vegan restaurant. It's small place in a shopping center . The staff is very welcoming and friendly. I chose the Green Dragon Vegetable stir fry. WOW. The sauce was bursting with flavor, not too spicy. Just perfect . Looking forward to exploring more dishes next time read more

I wanted to love this place. I didn't. Not healthy. Did not taste good. Low food quality (not organic). Most of the meat substitutes are soy based..... and not organic soy, just soy. So, likely has glyphosate and other unhealthy chemicals. I ordered a four veggie plate and a Mango Madness - $34.00. The mac and cheese was mediocre at best. The slaw I ordered was way too sweet - like too much added sugar. The baked beans looked like they came right out of a can and the steamed broccoli was good, but again not organic and definitely not worth the price. The Mango Madness was just sugar water. I'm sure it had mango in it, but definitely not 100% mango. I returned it immediately. They said they'd credit my card back but did not do so immediately so I'm doubtful. And last, it's a little off putting that you have to scan a bar code to see the menu. No paper menus exists nor is a menu posted on the wall. And, the menu itself doesn't have a list of ingredients so you're not sure what you're getting. The menu just has cute names without full descriptions. I won't return. read more
First of all, I'm not vegan. I AM a foodie, and can rightfully recognize that a lotttt of vegan food is better seasoned than 95% of the omnivore restaurants I go to. Second, before i start this Pinterest long into, i got the dish with the jerk chicken, greens, mac and cornbread. YUM! Knowing that vegans/vegetarians do it better quite often, I was led to the rabbit hole. I looked at the menu before I went (like any respectable and responsible foodie does) and I must admit, I was a little ??? with all the "freedom" themed food. When I picked up my order I was happy to is a black owned business and the decor is there to make you think. And that's just what I saw from the To go parking spot! Love outdoor dining, but I was ready to get back to my Airbnb to eat and nap, since I knew I was about to plow some great food down. I put in an order and it said it should be done around 30 min. My drive there was 17 min and i got the message it was ready as soon as I pulled up. (The universe loves me.) but anyways! I LOVE SPICY! The jerk chicken was deliciously flavorful and spicy. The mac and cheese was surprisingly tasty. Through no fault of their own, I wasn't a fan of the greens or cornbread, but I think that I shouldve known better because I generally don't like those dishes anyways. But! Wonderful meal. While visits in the nearby area, hubby suggested we visit this vegan black owned business and this restaurant did not disappoint! Upon entertaining the restaurant, we were warmly greeted by restaurant owner Sam and his friendly staff. Hubby informed staff of his nut allergy and the staff suggested the best menu items to have. Luckily, the chef uses oat milk so hubby's concerns about having a allergic reaction while eating there was greatly reduced. We started off with an a la carte order of the BBQ spare ribs which were sweet and savory with a mild kick. For our main mean, I had a chick'n quesadilla with salsa and vegan sour cream and hubby had the their Philly cheesesteak sandwich called "the answer" with a side of fries. The food was beautifully presented and delicious to eat. For dessert, I had the zu-keeper which is a zucchini chocolate chip brownie. We enjoyed the food at the restaurant so much, we ordered takeout meals of "Surf's Up" Surf and Turf plate and "The 5 Burroughs" Chopped Cheese sandwich with vegan macaroni and cheese for dinner. The to go food was lovingly packed and was as delicious as though we were eating the meal at the restaurant. Due to the friendly service, delicious food, and warm environment overall, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who likes comfort food they are vegan or not. read more
You get what you pay for! This vegan restaurant is our "go-to" for a healthy lifestyle. Absolutely wonderful food, full of flavor and huge portions. We ordered the Impossible patty melt and the BBQ chicken salad. Everything was super fresh and tasty. The staff was warm and friendly. We sat outside to eat, and enjoyed the cool vibe of The Rabbit Hole. Sam, the owner, is a very special guy. He is a philanthropist and one who enjoys giving back to the community. He takes his food and his customers seriously. He really seems to enjoy what he does. This was not our first visit to The Rabbit Hole and certainly will not be our last. Oops! The food was astonishing. I drove to Pompano Beach just to try it out. Especially during traffic as you know Pompano Beach traffic is annoying. After I had this food it was worth it! I'll deal with the traffic again for this food! Service was great! They choose my food, drink, and dessert. Excellent choices! The Ambiance was nice. It reminded me of my great grandmother's home in California. I felt comfortable and reminiscent of my great grandmother. read more

I am so heartbroken I cannot eat at this place every day. The energy the second you walk in is vibrant. I went a couple times and each person greeted me with extreme comfort. Delicious and they know it! Been here about 3-4 times since and it's always delicious. They are a tad bit expensive but it's worth it. The first time we visited the owner offered us some samples of food he wanted to put on the menu. I highly recommend the Marconi salad, it was soooo goood. The service was great cute little place with outdoor or indoor seating. The staff very friendly and professional felt welcomed hate to give this kinda review but.... The food looked and smelt amazing yet that's it. It wasn't good like at all the only things we really enjoyed were our drinks. I just knew looking from the pics we would be blown away but very bland no flavor at all. The more I ate the more I start to actually feel nauseous. I really wanted to at least eat half need something on my stomach going out tonight yet my baby niece can cook better than this place. read more
I'm so glad that we finally gave this restaurant a try!! We really loved the outdoor location/ambiance, and the workers were very welcoming. I forgot to take a picture of my husband's burger that he enjoyed so much. I wasn't a huge fan of the jerk "chicken", but the mac & cheese and kale collards were delicious!! This is a Black Owned vegan "hole in the wall" restaurant. The food is generous, flavorful, and full of vegetables. The fries are not to be missed. I got the chicken stir fry (which I couldn't even finish- even as this lunch was the first meal of my day), which was delicious and used the broken rice which is very yummy. My friend got the grits, salad, and fries and she was blown away by the flavor. Most vegan cheese is nasty, but this place has it right. Everyone that worked there was kind, responsive and SEEMED HAPPY! Just one thing, you have to scan the menu- which I have to repeat- IS THE MOST ANNOYING THING IN THE WORLD. Please give us older folks a chance to take a paper copy home so we will remember you in our collection of menus. Yes, Gen X and better still does this. But I'm not taking away any stars because it seems like that's the new trend, and if you're starting a new business I'd rather you spend time on the food and cleanliness rather than creating menus. I check the Broward health reports and they are clean as a whistle. My pictures of me and my friends' food sucks, but you will not be disappointed. If you're not into vegan stuff stick to the salads. read more

Today is 09/30/2020. At present, many of the desserts are gluten-free. Also, in the "Dragon" Menu (Asian inspired) lineup, I am aware that The Green Dragon may be adapted for gluten-free dining, if requested.
