I only stopped in Deccan spice this time for a quick Beer But i had a really great conversation with the Manager Nick and promised I would be back for The Indian buffett lunch they have every weekend he said that was a great option to try all the different dishes the have. The restaurant's ambience is very quaint and feels luxury I can't wait to come back and try the food.

If you're craving Indiana and want something a little more upscale than usual then Deccan Spice is the spot for you. Perfect place for a date night or chill with your friends. The peach bliss was well blissful. The flavors fresh, the drink beautifully poured. I decided on the chicken vindaloo and fair warning it is EXTRA spicy and that's just how it comes. If you love spice then this is the dish for you but if you're curious if it's too spicy for you then I would advise you to try something different. The garlic naan and rice were delicious. The service was also very good. They were attentive but not intrusive.

Wow! Talk about flavor! Deccan Spice definitely covers the gamut for filling tastebuds with lots and lots of flavor. Not a connoisseur of ordering Indian cuisine, I was grateful that Wally, the maître d' at Deccan Spice was willing and patient to explain multiple dinner choices. Even though I chose mild, I still found myself drinking lots of water, but the meal was excellent. While deciding on my order, I noticed multiple orders being picked up for delivery. Apparently, Deccan Spice is quite popular. I think the only drawback is its location in a shopping plaza, but once tasting the food and admiring the large interior, which is nicely decorated, shopping plaza or not, Deccan Spice is worth a visit.

If anyone knows me, Indian food is my jam. It is my go-to feel good food. It is probably in short is my favourite cuisine. Therefore, in a nutshell I am on a quest to sample all Indian food wheIever i go. So.... after a google search whilst in the area, it led me here. The service was friendly and fast. I ordered my go to - chicken tikka masala with a medium spice. I also ordered a peshwari styled naan (they called it something else here). The food came out piping hot. It hit the spot. What was interesting for me to notice was the curry was not as orangey red as other establishments. The food delivered in the flavour, I was not disappointed. I was told by my male server that they offer buffet, but sadly for me at the weekend. I would definitely come again.

AUTHENTIC. That's the main descriptive word I'd use. My husband is Indian and he was taken back by it being "real Indian food". We got the Rogan Josh with goat and chicken tikka masala. Even the chicken tikka tasted more true to au theatric Indian cuisine than most restaurants. (My husband said to try the butter chicken if you want something a little easier). We also got samosas as an app and a mango lassi to share after our meal. Both great! It was kind of an intense experience lol but I would definitely come back! The service was great - our waitress was very personal and the other workers were also attentive. And it's a great atmosphere. Perfect for a date night or a nice time with friends or family.

One of the best of Fort Lauderdale for sure. Great selection of dishes for all palates. Be careful if sensitive to heat. Medium here is hot everywhere else. Extra mild for those who can't tolerate heat. (My poor wife eating my medium dish, lol). Great service and a beautiful interior. We had some of the best naan ever as well as the plates I can't remember at the moment. Go here, you won't be disappointed.

Since we were in the neighborhood, we went to try their lunch buffet on October 20th, 2024. I must say if anyone hasn't tried Indian cuisine, this is the place to get a taste of India. The buffet includes right from the famous Indian Masala Chai, Pani Puri, Indian chat, various bhajias, and varied tandoori items to the various curries (Vegetaria, Chicken, Lamb, Shrimp) Biryanis, condiments, and desserts. They also spoil you with a complimentary mini dosa. You can't go wrong over here @ $23.00. It's seems popular as it was pretty busy when we went around 1pm My favorites were the tandoori items & Masala Chai, among others. I would also recommend the light beer (Rupee) The ambiance is welcoming and service prompt. This restaurant is definitely a must try if you are craving Indian food. Thanks for reading.

When is the lunch buffet offered?

I went yesterday (Monday) for the lunch buffet and they have a signboard advertising Sat & Sunday buffet too. So I'm pretty sure every day.

Every dish we tried was absolutely amazing--from the crispy papasum to the rich, flavorful butter chicken and the perfectly spiced saag paneer. The Goan shrimp kodi was a standout, and the garlic naan tied everything together beautifully. They even surprised us with a special birthday cake, which made the night feel extra special. Pairing everything with a Taj beer was the perfect touch! A huge shoutout to our server, Ram, who truly made the evening unforgettable with his attentiveness and great recommendations. It's grounded in the traditional flavors that make Indian food feel authentic, but it's presented with intention, from the bar to the plate. (You can tell the kitchen cares.) We started with cocktails plus a Taj Mahal beer and a lychee martini. The martini had a subtle Indian touch, lightly floral and not overly sweet. A strong start. Naturally, we ordered the samosas. Perfectly crisp, with a well-balanced spice blend inside. Do not skip the mint and tamarind dipping sauces. They bring the whole bite to life. For mains, my wife went with the Goan shrimp. Not too spicy, with a gentle hint of coconut that keeps it smooth and satisfying. I had the Valentine's lamb shank special, bone-in and slow-cooked in a tomato-forward sauce that smelled like pure Indian spice the second it hit the table. Rich, warm, and worth ordering if you see it. Get the basmati rice and garlic naan. Both are more than enough to share. If you're in town and the usual spots aren't doing it for you, put Moksha on the list. Great meal, great price, and the kind of dinner that feels like a real night out.

For the appetizer, we shared the Chilli Chicken, which were crispy bite size pieces, mixed with bell peppers, tossed in a sweet chili sauce with a slight kick. The Chicken was cooked to perfection and well seasoned. I ordered the Lamb Biryani and Garlic Naan. The Naan was not garlicky enough for me, but the Biryani made up for it, consisting of fragrant Indian rice, plenty of spices, nuts and raisins, making for a truly flavorful dish. The Lamb was tender and deeply savory. Also got to try the Vegetable Korma, which was full of fresh and tasty vegetables. The Korma sauce was delightfully creamy and delicious. Service was wonderful. Our waiter was welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu. All the food came out in a timely manner and we had a lovely time dining here. I wish I had tried the Mango Lassi and Fish or Shrimp Goan Curry.

My first comment is the menu is WAY too big for any restaurant. I don't see how this is manageable for a restaurant to remain profitable. (I watch food Network a lot and you see this all the time) It took us at least 20 minutes to thoroughly look through this book of dishes and try to read to see what all of it is. Just like my first visit, I was ready to try something new that I had never had before. I choose Gongura Biryani listed, has some ingredients I've never had, sounded good. Immediately the (owner maybe?) is there, he tries to talk me out of this dish. Says you know it has A and B. Yes, I read the menu, that's why I picked it. I don't feel he was being friendly at this point. He was annoyed that I wanted that dish and I felt just didn't want to make it. Just like the last visit when I was there! I know this dish has unusual ingredients and it has to be baked and so it would take longer, I expect that. The bottom line is the menu is too big, there aren't enough customers in the place to support it. They don't want to make some dishes because they take too long or they really aren't prepared with the ingredients it takes. I don't know which but I was annoyed that he tried to change my mind for the second time. It took me 20 minutes to come up with that decision because the menu is just way too big only to be told maybe I want something else. The Gongura Biriyani was excellent. The other diners had Paneer Saaq and Chicken Korm. Not much cheese in the Saaq, kind of a small portion compared to the Biryani I was served. The meals were not coordinated either. They came out piece meal. They were done eating by the time the Biriyani arrived. You weren't busy so this could have been timed better and served together. I mostly liked the food but something is going on there in the kitchen. Probably fighting to survive in that location. No one is ever there. Good luck!

The sauce was rich, creamy, and downright flirtatious -- the kind of dish that makes you rethink every bland chicken you've ever met. Could the spice have gone up a notch? Sure. But honestly, I was too busy dunking naan like it was an Olympic sport to care. Ah, the naan. Warm, soft, unapologetically garlicky -- the kind that ensures you won't be kissing anyone for at least 24 hours, but you'll die smiling. Slightly soggy? Maybe. But let's call it "emotionally tender," because it matched my mood when I realized how good it was. And the appetizers? Crisp, golden little parcels of joy that crackled louder than my willpower. Each bite made me want to stand up and start narrating like David Attenborough: "Here we see the majestic samosa in its natural habitat... gracefully disappearing into the human mouth." Arun's isn't just serving food -- it's serving edible happiness. Five stars for flavor, fun, and the garlic afterglow that follows you home like a fond memory.
