I came on a Friday. This was a nice, casual spot with a beautiful view. It was located next to a Hilton. The sign to the restaurant was small. I say the hotel first. The property had valet parking. To both sides of this restaurant the city had pay the meter parking spots. It was a fun spot. They have some days that they have fun events going. They have a list by the elevator. The atmosphere was good and the crowd a good mixed. The menu was small. We ordered flatbread, street tacos and something else that looked like a big toast. Everything tasted great. Food service was fast. The flatbread was my favorite thing. I got a drink that was also good it was watermelon and jalapeños. The mix was tasty. The staff on point. They checked on us. About last night! Hahaha... Latin night! After dinner we decided why not! We could hear the music from downstairs. We are both no longer all nighters or party goers especially with the type of careers we have. I was impressed. The last time I came to this rooftop bar was when it first opened and it was so dead! It was nice to see our Pompano Beach community enjoying the night to our Latin beats haha.... Curious what they have on other nights. This one caught us off guard! We make it a point to try different places around pompano and had ever even heard of this place! On top of a hotel the view was great! Cynthia was our server and she was fast and friendly and gave us great tips. Between the three of us we ordered a flat bread pizza, shrimp cocktail, caprese appetizer, oysters and sliders. I was expecting something so much different especially with all the great upgrades they've done on the property but to be honest my husband and I went here one time and I don't think we'll be back again, one time was enough. I think that whatever they did with the space inside they didn't make the best of it the old Pier six rooftop was bigger and I feel had more drink and food selection whereas the drinking and food selection now is very limited. Fun, lovely little rooftop bar that I don't have to go all the way south to downtown Fort Lauderdale for, conveniently up in Pompano by the pier. Had absolutely excellent service this evening from a gentleman whose name I regrettably did not catch, but he made great conversation and was very attentive. Food was decently good, bit pricey but it's a rooftop bar so not unexpected and not a deterrent. Drinks were good as well, the key lime martini had all the lovely elements of a key lime pie. Charcuterie board definitely came with more volume than expected, a pleasant surprise. Nice spot, great views over the pier. Will need to come back to try lunch. read more

Beautiful ocean views!! You don't have to be a tourist- locals welcome to drop in to the Tru by Hilton, take the elevator up to the top, and relax with a beverage and enjoy the view of the ocean. At sunset, you can see that too from one side of the roof! Service is great, the team is fun and appear to enjoy their jobs. They offer nice spreads for groups, as well as various small meals and appetizers. Pier 6 is outdoors, but there are a couple covered areas and some umbrellas. Best view of the beach in Pompano! This rooftop bar is above the Tru Hotel. There is a parking garage within walking distance. The handcrafted cocktails were reasonably priced and the menu had lots of options for food. Literally the worst service I have ever received. I think our bartenders name was Corina ? and Alex. I have been in the food service industry for 20 years and this was just horrible. Not a welcoming atmosphere at all. Also the worst espresso martini I have ever had, made me want to vomit. Visited with my wife for the first time. Upon walking in to the bar area, a waitress approached us as we were standing looking at the seating by a fire pit. She proceeds to tell us that the people seated there are paying and will be getting up soon and she will clean the area and seat us. She said for us to have a quick seat at the table while we wait. We order 2 drinks (weak) and see the previous people Getting up and wee excited to sit at the fire pit. As soon as they leave, another couple is seated at the fire pit. The waitress walks over and tell us "I guess someone beat you to it". Seriously! That's what you say when you told us to have a seat and hang tight until the people finish up which was 5 minutes later. Should we have just stood there giving over the people sitting there waiting to pay their bill??!! We were really looking forward to trying this rooftop bar, but won't be back! read more

I heard there was a nice rooftop bar in Pompano and I could never figure out where it was. Tonight, while My husband and I were walking on the pier, 2 nice girls asked if we wanted free drinks. Well that's a no brainer! It's on the roof of the Home2Suite Hilton Hotel which is a block off the beach on NE 2nd and A1A. There's a big parking garage right next door and you don't need to be a hotel guest to go upstairs. The rooftop is big with 2 bars and plenty of seating. Some seating areas have fireplaces and the views are beautiful. A nice place to watch the sunset. I see people complaining about prices, but I have to admit... that's the cost of a cocktail these days. Happy hour is every day from 3-6 and some nights after 6 there's live music. Service is great. We met Kel and Rachel who went out of their way to make sure we had great drinks and a great time. It's a nice place to relax, chill and take in the beautiful ocean view. read more

This place has a lot of potential because the rooftop views are absolutely beautiful. You get such a good view of the beach, and Pompano as a city. However, they are very sneaky about tacking on a service charge and don't even mention it to you when they present your bill. If I had noticed that, we would've ended up leaving double the tip on an already overpriced tab. The bartenders were a mess. The place was empty, and I can see why. On top of it all, there was someone doing cocaine in the bathroom stall next to me, and when I came out, I was surprised to see that it was one of the bartenders that was serving me! I have friends in Pompano Beach so I sometimes hang out here. My friends took me here yesterday. I'm a big fan of the pompano beach, lauderdale by the sea area as I think it's super chill. This is on the top floor of a hotel and it was constructed in a certain way where you can enjoy the view from like 4 different directions. This place has huge potential for socializing, events, chilling out etc. I only had a diet coke and a pinata colada which was inexpensive for South Florida at like $10 to $12 if I recall correctly. It was busy at 6pm and the staff was great and fast. Pretty good crowd upscale crowd too. Next time I go I'll spend more time and actually drink a few glasses of wine. Random observation: the area is rife with tiki bars that have some of the same crowd every night ...here it's a different group of people who are people who live nearby, some people on vacation and people checking it out from 10 miles away. Pompano Beach is definitely up and coming on the scene. They're making a lot of additions and wanting to pull people in. Parking is available pretty easy next door in the parking garage. I came here with some friends a little before sunset for a birthday. Plenty of seating available and we were able to snag chairs around a fire pit which one of the staff turned on for us. The servers was all very nice and helpful. They knew their stuff. I ordered the painkiller drink which had rum, coconut, pineapple, and a little nutmeg. It was good but nothing to rave about. It did feel like a strong pour though which I can appreciate. I wished there a little bit more of the coconut flavor to it but I'd probably still order it again if I were to go back. My husband and I also ordered the spinach and artichoke dip. I'm currently not able to eat gluten and was advised at the time of ordering that the tortilla chips, even though they are corn, we're not gluten free. So they were able to bring me out some carrots and celery for me. The dip was pretty standard. Overall, I'd say you don't come to Pier 6 for the food, you come here for the view and drinks. It is a great view and we don't have anything quite like this in the area. read more

Drinks were good and bartenders attentive. One thing to note is that a service charge is added to the price of the already pricy drinks. Yes, it does indicate in small print at the bottom of the menu that an 18% gratuity is added to each check--but if you are not looking at a menu for a drink, you wouldn't know that.
