We were looking for a late-night meal and came across this restaurant tucked away in a quaint area of Fort Lauderdale. Parking was conveniently located right in front of the restaurant, making it an easy stop. As soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted and invited to sit wherever we liked. We chose a table near the window and immediately appreciated the intimate and charming atmosphere. The restaurant also features a bar and televisions, creating a relaxed and welcoming vibe. Our waitress was pleasant, attentive, and made us feel right at home, which always enhances the dining experience. Although we weren't extremely hungry, the menu had so many appealing options that we decided to sample a few items. We started with the Caribbean Tea shots, which were unique, refreshing, and surprisingly enjoyable. For drinks, we ordered a Malbec and a Peanut Butter Old Fashioned. Our first entrée was the Churrasco Frites, featuring marinated skirt steak topped with chimichurri and served with twister fries. The steak was cooked perfectly, tender and flavorful, but those fries were the true star of the dish. Still wanting more, we ordered the Garlic Parmesan Twice Cooked Wings. They were nicely prepared and satisfying, though I would have enjoyed a stronger garlic flavor. Not quite finished, we moved on to the Oaxaca Burger, an 8 ounce burger stacked with onion rings, bacon jam, house BBQ sauce, and Oaxaca cheese. This was one of the best burgers I've ever had, and possibly the best. The bun was toasted yet soft, the burger was seasoned perfectly, and it was cooked to a juicy medium temperature. Every bite was packed with flavor. Overall, everything we ordered was excellent, and the service and atmosphere made the experience even better. Stopped by Twice Removed for drinks and dessert, and I really enjoyed my time here. This is one of a few bars that offer happy hour every day from 4-6 PM. My significant other and I each had two drinks and shared a dessert, and our bill came to about $55. The bartenders were friendly and made some really good drinks. If you're looking for something tropical, I highly recommend the Sun haven. The atmosphere is welcoming, and they played some really good music. Went to Twice Removed after a concert nearby in Wilton Manors and had a mixed experience overall. I really wanted to love the place because the atmosphere is great -- very comfortable, relaxed, and in a fun area to spend the evening. The bar and restaurant itself has a welcoming vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. I ordered the tuna appetizer, but unfortunately it just wasn't for me. To their credit, the staff handled it very professionally and took it back without any issue, which I appreciated. The rest of the table had a much better experience with their meals. The steak and salads especially got good reviews from everyone and looked very well prepared. Even though my dish missed the mark, the service and atmosphere were solid enough that I'd still consider giving eTwic another try in the future. Sometimes one item just doesn't hit, and there were definitely enough positives about the restaurant to make me curious to come back and try something different next time. Came in for weekday happy hour, and the place was pretty empty when we arrived. We ordered a few cocktails and appetizers, and I was really impressed by the drink options--this place definitely knows how to make a good drink. We started with the sticky ribs appetizer... the BEST it already had us planning a return trip just for the wings (my boyfriend swears they're the best he's ever had). For dinner, he got the honey chicken Sammy with sidewinder fries, and I went with the chimmichurri steak frites with curly fries... SO good. Everything came out piping hot, quickly, and you can tell the food and drinks are really thoughtfully crafted. What stood out most, though, was the customer service. The three main staff members Drew, Mel, and Darian (I think?) were incredible. Every single one of them went above and beyond for every guest the entire time. When we arrived, there were just a couple tables outside, but once it started raining, they seamlessly accommodated everyone inside without missing a beat. The vibe is such a cool mix, neighborhood spot meets speakeasy meets tiki with a slightly elevated feel, but still super comfortable. Everyone in the place seemed to know each other or quickly became friends. The music was great, and by 7:30 the live entertainment started, he was funny, engaging, and talented. We got there just in time to catch the tail end of happy hour for our first drink, and from there it just kept getting better. Well, it's been four years since we went back to twice removed and I've got to tell you they've upped their game and their food and drinks are still amazing You gotta love the atmosphere in the bar. It has that reserved adult bar feeling with a fun atmosphere. The service was good. They were busy and the staff was doing their best to keep up with everything. We did a shared appetizer night and we had the chicken wings, rib tips, french fries and the Tostones Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and amazing What blew us away was their fried Oreo dessert and their chocolate mousse I'm sorry to say it this way but if you have a sweet tooth, this is a wet dream come true . On the smaller side with limited sitting but we were able to get a table since they were not very busy. I do think that if it becomes popular it might be an issue with the sitting part. To start I ordered the Brasilia drink (Tequila, Cachaça, Chambord, Watermelon, Peach and Lime). i was very happy about my choice and the combination of all things made it really good and not sweet (which I like). My friend got the Pink Panther and was thrilled with her choice (Tequila, Cassis, Agave, Lime, Plum bitter, Habanero sugar). We ordered the Callaloo and Spinach Dip for the table (Baby spinach, Garlic, Dijon, Bechamel, Parmesan). It was extremely cheese, I think the amount of bechamel also was very overpowering and it could definitely use more spinach. I wasn't really thrilled about it. As my main entree I chose the Hot Honey Poutine (Sidewinder, Red hot and honey, garlic aioli and parmesan). Its not a huge portion but it was enough for me. I thought it was very delicious and love the concept of having fries and chicken all together with that spicy and delicious sauce. The service was good for the most part. I do think some of the staff could have been a bit friendlier though. Either way I thought it was worth the visit and would definitely go back again. read more

The service was friendly and had an all hands on deck vibe. Our server offered a special drink we suggested to be added to the menu! We had the gluten free banh mi poutine with yucca fries (delicious), and the ropa vieja poutine was so fabulous it was demolished quickly. We got the Jamaican chicken curry (not spicy but very flavorful), the wedge salad with jerk chicken (has a nice kick to it) and the kids chicken tenders. Our drinks were super pretty and tasty. Gigi was super helpful in giving us insight on customer favorites! We tried the caesar salad (you have to cut it yourself but don't worry it's SO GOOD), truffle fries, spare rib tips, ropa vieja poutine, and ropa vieja (entree). While everything was incredibly tasteful, the ropa vieja poutine was by far my favorite. They also have so many signature cocktails to choose from, and on Thursdays, they offer a ladies night special with $8 mini select martinis. We immediately appreciated the cool dark vibe, and the super friendly staff. We ordered 3 items off the happy hour menu and drinks. My cocktail was a Peanut Butter Old Fashioned. Sounds weird but was delicious. We also had bourbon nuts, ropa Vieja poutine and truffle fries. Everything was great but the warm sticky bourbon nuts were perfect for ice cream, which they had on the regular menu so we finished the visit with vanilla ice cream on warm sticky roasted nuts with a Carmel drizzle.
