Fantastic bar bistro in North Beach, laidback ambience, terrific service and they have every variety of poutine you can imagine. The food is fantastic: I never really thought of traditional poutine (basically fries with cheese curds and gravy over it) as my kinda thing, but curry chicken poutine was amazing...count me as converted, French Canadian folks! From the front door to the table and even leaving the place, the staff was jovial and helpful. Our server Nadine was helpful with explanations, very friendly and funny. One of the guys in my group even serenaded her with that old song Nadine on the way out. Ambience is also cool. Outside it's part of several neighborhood oriented shopping blocks with no chain locations, just local stuff. Inside it has a very cool neighborhood vibe

Twice Removed is a cozy little spot, perfect for a late-night snack and final round of drinks. We grabbed seats at the bar, which holds around ten people, in this small corner cocktail bar that also has some outdoor seating for enjoying the Florida sun. The whole staff was super kind and checked on us often without hovering. The spinach dip was tasty, but it definitely could've used more chips, even though the ones we had were very crispy and held up well. My hot honey wings were very good with plenty of sauce and just enough heat that a cold beer really hit the spot alongside them.

What's left of the Tostones?

Well, it's been four years since we went back to twice removed and I've got to tell you they've upped their game and their food and drinks are still amazing You gotta love the atmosphere in the bar. It has that reserved adult bar feeling with a fun atmosphere. The service was good. They were busy and the staff was doing their best to keep up with everything. We did a shared appetizer night and we had the chicken wings, rib tips, french fries and the Tostones Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and amazing What blew us away was their fried Oreo dessert and their chocolate mousse I'm sorry to say it this way but if you have a sweet tooth, this is a wet dream come true . Already planning our next return visit I will not be four years till we go back again probably within a week will be back again Sorry that some of the pictures are just a small bit of food that's left. We started eating and realized we needed to take pictures.

The place is much smaller inside than you would think. It is decorated with some unique pieces from globes to small statues but it works. The servers were nice and accommodating. The food was very good. The portions are small but it was quick and good. I loved the grilled wedge salad with the onions and balsalmic vinegar glaze. The flavors just worked well. The beyond meat sliders with grilled zucchini were an interesting delightful mix. The onion sliders-perfection and the cauliflower "wings" were incredible with the beer batter coating. They also have some unique drink concoctions. Definitely give them a try if you get a chance.

Twice Removed: Where Mystery Meets Hospitality Twice Removed isn't just a bar--it's a mood. Tucked away like a secret worth sharing, this eclectic lounge scene wraps you in warmth the moment you walk in. The ambiance is equal parts quirky and cozy, with just enough edge to keep you curious. The servers? Down-to-earth gems. They greet you like an old friend, but never hover. It's the kind of place where your name might not be remembered, but your vibe definitely will be. Now, the cocktails--cryptic in the best way. You won't find basic mixes here. Each drink feels like a riddle wrapped in velvet: unexpected ingredients, layered flavors, and presentations that spark conversation. Ask for the story behind your cocktail and you might just get a poetic answer. The menu is a delightful puzzle of its own. Familiar dishes show up wearing eccentric disguises--think comfort food with a twist, global flavors with local flair, and combinations that shouldn't work but absolutely do. It's eclectic without being chaotic, curated without being pretentious. Whether you're here for a solo sip or a night of deep conversation, Twice Removed makes you feel like you belong--even if you're not quite sure how you got there. And honestly, that's part of the magic.

Still loving the food here! I like this restaurant, as the food has been very consistent over the last 3-4 years And btw, still love their chocolate mousse, as well as everything else we have ever ordered Got takeout, and everything was so clean and nicely packed, as usual

I decided to come here by recommendation of a friend who is vegetarian because she said there were vegan items on the menu. Upon seeing the nice variety of food options, I ordered the beyond sliders, yuca fries, and tostones - which all were good. The vibe in the restaurant is great for friends and a cocktail or a nice quiet date. The bartender and servers are friendly as well.

Went here on NYE because it had pretty solid reviews. It's more of a bar scene than a restaurant. Most of the food is geared toward bar food as well. We got a pretzel that was fantastic, some fried pickles that were pretty good too. The entrees were average at best. My daughter got crab cake sliders and said they didn't have much flavor. My wife and I both got burgers and both were significantly overcooked compared to how we ordered them--which was disappointing. The fries were pretty good though as the side. Servers were attentive and friendly, but overall, kind of disappointed in our visit--and somewhat pricey for what it was. I probably wouldn't go back...

I found Twice Removed on Yelp and my friends and I decided to give it a try on a Friday night. This small little place was really a great find. On the smaller side with limited sitting but we were able to get a table since they were not very busy. I do think that if it becomes popular it might be an issue with the sitting part. To start I ordered the Brasilia drink (Tequila, Cachaça, Chambord, Watermelon, Peach and Lime). i was very happy about my choice and the combination of all things made it really good and not sweet (which I like). My friend got the Pink Panther and was thrilled with her choice (Tequila, Cassis, Agave, Lime, Plum bitter, Habanero sugar). We ordered the Callaloo and Spinach Dip for the table (Baby spinach, Garlic, Dijon, Bechamel, Parmesan). It was extremely cheese, I think the amount of bechamel also was very overpowering and it could definitely use more spinach. I wasn't really thrilled about it. As my main entree I chose the Hot Honey Poutine (Sidewinder, Red hot and honey, garlic aioli and parmesan). Its not a huge portion but it was enough for me. I thought it was very delicious and love the concept of having fries and chicken all together with that spicy and delicious sauce. The service was good for the most part. I do think some of the staff could have been a bit friendlier though. Either way I thought it was worth the visit and would definitely go back again.

I think the service was very friendly ! Fun bar spot. We started our evening of bar hopping here. Would recommend as a end of the night spot instead when your senses are a bit more dulled. I enjoyed my poutine! The curly fries were so fun! Got so salty towards the end and you definitely needed to have a drink along with it. Sad that i had to ask for more cheese curds. It's poutine ! But they gladly brought me a dish of more when i asked so i was a happy camper. Dodged several rosemary sprigs from the decoration. Really enjoyed the pretzel! Cooked so nicely. Soft and pillowy. Salted and some nice greasiness. Loved the honey mustard and asked for more and they brought some over for me. The drink menu is so cool! It's a fun little cheat sheet that's symbol coded to help you find the drink for your taste.

We stopped here for some quick bites and beers. The bar is cozy and welcoming. With tables outside and inside. The staff was very polite and helpful. We got some wings and hummus and they were both delicious. Their menu prices have stayed the same since last year, so they are not raising prices wildly like other places. Inside there are TV monitors with sports, animated series, trivia, etc...something for everyone....

Ropa vieja poutine

My family came for dinner tonight as a couple of us needed gluten free options. A couple in our party can be picky with their food and we were all very satisfied by the variety of flavorful food! The service was friendly and had an all hands on deck vibe. Our server offered a special drink we suggested to be added to the menu! We had the gluten free banh mi poutine with yucca fries (delicious), and the ropa vieja poutine was so fabulous it was demolished quickly. We got the Jamaican chicken curry (not spicy but very flavorful), the wedge salad with jerk chicken (has a nice kick to it) and the kids chicken tenders. Our drinks were super pretty and tasty. I'd recommend coming here! The music is fun and the decor is as well! Lots of flowers.

While I was expecting a half assed attempt at beach accommodations. I regret to tell you all that twice removed should be your FIRST stop!!!! Every person in this place is a character! Annalice served me, and she is knowledgeable on the menu, not to mention a tall drink of water. She told me Justin made my drink which was perfectly smoked, if only I could remember the name of it. Juju made me some food that words cannot comprehend. Lastly but not least, I got to meet the proprietor, Drew, a man of few words. But I could tell he cared more about his staff than anybody cares about their own child. Once again spend some time here. Meet the crew. They are family

Hi! Is happy hour available at the bar only?

Nope, Happy Hour is for every guest, sitting in any seat in the house. Inside or outside.

Hi! Can you clarify your happy hour times. I've seen two different times and are hoping to time the water taxi to visit next week?

Hi, Happy Hour is from 4PM to 6PM Daily. We are closed on Mondays. We look forward to having you.

Sidecar Speakeasy was the play... The speakeasy entrance was hidden in a hallway you can walk right by without even noticing. I dig it. Once inside, it's dark. Most of the light is coming from the light showcasing the bottles in the bar. The seating is a little tight as they're trying to maximize space for such a small area. We visited here twice during my visit: We sat at a table and a bar. You have the perfect amount of space for your party, but you're pretty close to the next table or bar seat. No claustrophobic vibes though. All the mixologists were great during both visits. One visit, we ordered their signature cocktails from the menu. When we sat at the bar, we had the mixologist surprise with a cocktail off the menu. He just asked what kind of liquor vibe we wanted, and he took it from there. He was super creative with every cocktail which made for a great time. They stayed upon until midnight one one visit and until 1 am on the other one. Both my visits were on a weekday. I can confidently say they delivered on one of those things, the experience. Unfortunately, the food felt like a failed attempt to escape... an escape room. Let's start with what absolutely works. The location is stunning. Truly breathtaking. The views are spectacular, the atmosphere is elegant, and the setting makes you feel like you have unlocked a premium level of Fort Lauderdale nightlife. The service is upscale and unhurried. No one rushes you, no one pressures you, and you are encouraged to linger and enjoy the moment. From a vibe perspective, you are winning. The drink menu is limited, but what they offer is top notch. Well crafted, balanced, and enjoyable. Think of the drinks as the first puzzle you solve successfully. Confidence is high at this point. Then the food arrives, and this is where the escape attempt starts to fall apart. We began with the bruschetta, which was absolutely dominated by balsamic. Not gently accented. Not thoughtfully drizzled. This was a full-scale balsamic ambush that completely overwhelmed the dish. Puzzle one failed. Next came the octopus. Perfectly cooked. Tender. Juicy. Textbook execution. Unfortunately, the flavor was nowhere to be found. Every bite was completely hijacked by the beans in the dish, leaving the octopus feeling like a background prop in its own plate. Puzzle two failed, morale dropping. Then came the calamari and mussels. Once again, the seafood was cooked properly, but flavor had clearly escaped through a hidden exit. Bland, forgettable, and confusing in how something prepared this well could taste like so little. Puzzle three failed, clock ticking. The fourth dish was the caprese salad, which somehow managed to swing in the opposite direction of the bruschetta. The tomatoes tasted like they were fresh from a grocery store shelf. The balsamic barely showed up this time, as if it had used up all its energy earlier. The mozzarella sat there watery and bland, contributing nothing and offering no clues. Final puzzle failed. Escape attempt unsuccessful. By the end of the meal, I felt like I had just spent two hours in an escape room where everything looked incredible, the staff was friendly, the room design was flawless, but none of the puzzles worked and you never actually escaped. Overall, Escape Rooftop Bar delivers breathtaking views, excellent service, and strong drinks. But the food turns the entire experience into a beautifully designed trap. When expectations are sky high and the kitchen cannot deliver, the disappointment hits harder. Two stars, awarded for the scenery, the cocktails, and the hope that one day the food finds the exit.
