Okay this place blew my mind. First off, the aesthetic and ambiance is absolutely beautiful. It's an open airy space and the tables are setup with the wine glasses already set. It feels like you're at a tasting room in Napa. We opted to sit at the bar to enjoy the happy hour specials. There's no set happy hour menu, but they offer $3 off select wines and specialty cocktails and $2 off shared plates. Our waiter went through all the wine options for the happy hour and he was really helpful. He even recommended his favorite wines. I started with a glass of the Stemmari Pinot Grigio which was incredibly crisp and refreshing. Then I switched over to the J. Bookwalter "Notebook" red which was a favorite of mines for the rest of the afternoon. It's a blended wine, so it offers a lot of complex flavors. Very lovely. I also love the seating at the bar. They have an open view to the outdoors, so it feels very spacious. The bar isn't overly crowded. It's also nice to see all the wines they offer on tap. For food, we decided to stick to the shared plates so we can enjoy the specials. Starting off with the burrata which was so good!!! The burrata is served on a large piece of ciabatta with tomato & garlic confit and a basil pesto. It was incredible! We also tried the Brussels which were a flavor bomb! I loved the combo of the kung pao vinaigrette that gave it a subtle salty sweetness mixed with a little of the spicy peppers. It was such an amazing combo! And we finished it off with the truffled vineyard fries. These are no regular fries.... These are layered potatoes that are thinly sliced and fried, so the layers get really crispy and make for some yummy truffle fries! It's served with a lemon truffle cream which I loved. I think the cream did a nice job of balancing the heaviness of the fried potato given that it was on the greasy side. I am over the moon with their presentation, service, food and wine options. First time trying this place and it was good. The only thing that stood out to me was the truffled vineyard fries were so good, a bit salty, but the sauce that came with it was perfect. The brussel sprouts were pretty good. The steak on the other hand was unimpressive. I've had better steak for cheaper, the chimichurri wasn't too good and the fries were pretty salty. We've been wanting to try this place since they've opened. We went for happy hour and let me tell you the bar is amazing. The bar fits a lot of people and the bartender is super friendly and gave us great service. For the cocktails I tried the Wheels up which was amazing!!! If you like bourbon, you have to try it. I was super excited to try this place since their orlando location was so good! I got the $35 girl dinner, which came with a chicken cesear salad, fries, and a frozen espresso martini. The martini was SO GOOD, and the salad was very good too with the bread crumbs they put on it. I also got the frose which I was not crazy about. The glass also looked practically empty when they brought it to me. It's not something I would order again. I love going to the downtown Miami location, but this time I visited the Fort Lauderdale location after a day of meetings and waiting for traffic to die down. Parking was easy--I found a spot right on the street and was able to pay by phone, which was very convenient. This location felt especially welcoming with all of the plants and greenery throughout the space. The open-air layout created a relaxed atmosphere, and I really enjoyed the ambiance. I sat at the bar, where the bartender was sweet, attentive, and provided great service. I ordered my favorite rosé along with the 3-choice charcuterie board, and everything was delicious as usual. Considering it was a Friday, I was surprised that it wasn't too busy when I arrived around 4 PM, which made for an even more enjoyable experience. Made a reservation week of - originally chose the mezzanine on the reservation but decided last minute that I wanted to be seated outside. They accommodated my party no issues which I appreciated. Started the night with a Hugo spritz (not on the menu but still made it for us since they are a full service bar) and a frozen espresso martini ($15). Our appetizer was a wood fired spicy sausage pizza ($19) which we thoroughly enjoyed. It was the perfect size for an appetizer. Our main entree to share was the steak frites. By the time we put in our order, the streak frites was sold out so we received a filet mignon. We didn't know that we had received the filet though so the smaller size steak threw us off a bit. The temperature of the steak was a bit overcooked for a medium, but wasn't a dealbreaker. Flavor of the dish was pretty good though. Ambiance was amazing - very chill & pleasant environment to be in. I was in Ft. Lauderdale on a trip with friends and we were meeting up with a local friend who lives in the area. He recommended we meet here for us all to enjoy dinner together. There were 5 of us total and this was the perfect spot for our group to chat and enjoy! Our friend had made reservations for our table about a week prior so there was no waiting time once we arrived. It was Friday around 6:30pm in March so a little busy still with spring breakers. I noticed a few groups waiting for tables but it didn't look too crowded. It is a bright organic/earthy clean feeling restaurant. It seems very open and airy. They also had an incredible candle burning, I believe it is their signature scent, rosemary. It smelled amazing. You can purchase the candle for $26 or so. We were seated at a large high top table next to the bar that could seat six. Nicely spaced from the bar so it feels roomy, and comfy chairs! The bar is neat and never felt too busy or loud. It has a fun display of the wine labels and names on the wall above the pour taps. Their wine list is awesome as you can imagine with a name like Sixty Vines For some reason I chose to have a Negroni as it is something I order at most places. Though I will say, in this case, it may have been the wrong choice. It was okay, I was not impressed at all. However knowing that it is a wine-focused restaurant I should have chosen one of those from the start. My friend let me try one of the wines he chose and it was sooo good! Also, very unique! It was the Stolpman Love You Bunches - an orange wine! How fun and yummy!! We all tried the bacon wrapped dates. I thought they were so cute! The texture surprised me; even though I knew it was going to be a date I guess I was thinking the bacon would make it seem more crunchy, but no not crunchy which just made it an exciting surprise of flavors. Our friends ordered the Burrata. It is massive! So be sure to share this one!! We also got to try the Wood Grilled Shrimp, they were cooked just right and set on a bed of roasted corn, tomatoes and delicious sauce!! Great combo! I had to order the Cowgirl Creamery, Mt. Tam cheese because I used to live in Stinson Beach which is close to the creamery where it's made. The board came with a nice sized wedge of Mt. Tam cheese to share as well as some almonds, honeycomb and pita slices. The cheese was just as I love, so so creamy with a nice bloomy rind with mushroomy flavor! The honeycomb pairs so well with it. Heaven. For my main I chose Wood Grilled Bavette Steak. I order steaks rare, and It was cooked perfectly!!!! Came with mushrooms, potatoes and a foie gras-zinfandel demi. Personally I'd love to have the actual foie gras but it was still delicious!!! Potatoes, alright. I'm from Minnesota we eat a lot of potatoes I would have loved some fresh veggies instead. During my main course I tried a Grenache-Syrah wine called Painted Scars by Dave Phinney. It was a great pairing to my steak, and was suggested by our server. Kudos to him! It has a nice peppery taste you get with some syrahs and it wasn't too heavy, it had a nice light feel to it. Very good! One of my friends ordered the Filet Mignon which she was very happy with and finished the entire thing! Except for a little bit of her vegetables Ate the best thing first, didn't have room for the rest. Our other friend had the Atlantic Salmon and also was extremely happy with how well it was cooked and the combination of flavors. If I lived nearby I would visit this place again. This place was absolutely horrible and very disorganized. We came for lunch on Sunday, 9/27, and were served by Brittany M., who provided terrible service. I ordered a mimosa, which, for some bizarre reason, never showed up. By the time anyone came back to our table, our burger had already come out, which completely defeated the purpose of asking for my drink. Of course you want your drink before the food comes out. Then I found a hair in my salad. At this point, we were frustrated and just asked for the check, which came out on a card reader, so we couldn't even see what we were being charged for. When we asked Brittany for a paper receipt, she went inside and sat down. I guess this was too hard for her. My mistake for asking, we just wanted to make sure we weren't charged for the drink that never came. Instead of waiting for Brittany to feel like working, we asked the hostess for a copy of our check. She was also very unprofessional, and we had to explain where our table was three times. After spending money here, we were left standing at the front of the restaurant for 15 minutes waiting for someone to simply give us a receipt so we could leave, while the staff congregated around doing nothing and gossiping. They need some serious training. There was no manager in sight. I will never be back to this shitty place, especially when there are many other options on Las Olas. read more

I was not able to attend the Yelp Elite event held here last year, but I heard and read only good comments about this place and it did not disappoint in this visit. The decor is nice and fresh with lots of greenery and rustic tiles all around the dining and bar area. There is also an area that can be closed up and reserved for private events in the main dining room, and there is a mezzanine level. The service we received today was excellent, starting with the hostess desk, our waiter (Jason) and restaurant manager Cindra. One of the differentiators in this restaurant is the large selection of wines from tap. Similar to a brewery, they have the names of each wine written behind the corresponding tap. Wine from tap does not sound appealing at first, but apparently is a system that allows the wine to stay in good condition for a good amount of time. I tried a red blend called Flycatcher from Frog's Leap and it was excellent. Finally, their menu is not too extensive, but everything we tried was delicious. I particular liked the trout entree with coconut curry, lime cilantro sauce and lentils. They also have a good selection of Gluten-free menu items, including cauliflower crust for their GF pizzas. We had a reservation and they gave us the option of sitting inside or outside. We decided to sit on the patio outside so we could people watch and the weather was nice. For our drinks, we did the mimosa bar. They brought the bottle of Prosecco to the table and then we had to go inside to use the different toppings for the mimosa. They had different fruits, syrup and pulp. for our starters, we did the build your own charcuterie board as well as the Burrata. The Barata on top of the toasted bread was delicious. The charcuterie was good. For my main, I ended up splitting with my friend, the carrot cake, pancakes, and the fried chicken topped with caviar. I was so happy with the pancakes. They had a fluffy texture, great flavor and were not overly sweet, which was a concern. The fried chicken was fried to perfection was light and had great taste. Although I've been here before for a Yelp event, the experience this time was not pleasant. They were practically empty when I was there. I ordered a cocktail to start and my friend ordered a glass of wine. The server returned twice to inquire about the cocktail that I wanted, a Hugo Spritz. Then the bartender came and asked me to explain the drink that I wanted. For me this is a red gulag that my drink will not be made well as they don't know how to make it. So I opted instead for a French 75. The bartender had an attitude as to why I was changing my drink choice. I made it clear that if I have to explain how to the drink, then I have a right to change my mind on them preparing it. Lo and behold, the French 75 was terrible. It came out in a wine glass and it was sour. I didn't end up drinking it. They asked if I wanted something else and the answer was no. This was our first time visiting Sixty Vines. We had originally reserved outdoor seating, but since it was extremely hot, the manager, Essence, kindly accommodated us with an indoor table. She was welcoming and attentive, which we truly appreciated. Our server James was pleasant and kind, and the food we ordered to share was very good. Unfortunately, the service overall was disappointing. We waited over 20 minutes just to receive a second round of drinks, and because of the delay we decided not to order the pizza we had planned on trying. When we mentioned this to James, we expressed that such a long wait for drinks was unacceptable. Essence returned to our table, listened to our concerns, and graciously comped our last round, which was a thoughtful gesture. We also suggested that additional servers and bartenders might help improve the experience for future guests. While the atmosphere and food were enjoyable, the slow service overshadowed our visit.
