I was super excited to visit Hatch when I found out they had gluten free toast. It seems pretty basic but I have not been able to eat toast with a diner-breakfast in years. Today we selected the Avocado Toast and the Charleston Benedict. Delicious in every way. Their coffee is a special grind from Pumphouse Coffee Roasters, a Florida company. It's rich and complex. I like strong coffee and it was. Are you a hot sauce nut? Be sure and ask for their full compliment of signature hot sauces. Hot Habanero, Medium Sriracha, and Mild Serrano. I tried all three and they pass my pallet test with flying colors. I love sitting at a bar to eat - and yes, they have a bar you can sit at for your meal. Viniece was my server/bartender and she was friendly, attentive and very pleasant. Like free parking in a busy, hip neighborhood? Hatch validates your parking from the Quantum Garage. Free three hour parking from across the street. I will mention one note they can improve on. The placards located on the bar and tables are pretty grimy with food stains and finger smudges. Stopped in for breakfast after our cruise, and I'm so happy we did! The restaurant was bright and clean with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Our server Kat was super sweet and attentive. She went over the menu and gave us recommendations off the menu since it was our first time visiting. My son went with the NY style breakfast sandwich on a brioche bun and I got the That's a Gouda Benedict which came on a crossaint. We both really enjoyed our meals. My son especially, he said he gave his meal and experience a 10/10! He really liked the fact that he was able to watch Tom and Jerry while enjoying his meal! The best coffee I've had is from here. It was a Blueberry Crumb Latte. I recommend it. The body and flavor are on point. I only wish it came in a bigger size. This restaurant is one of my favorite places. It's a bright, happy place. I liked the bright yellow devotions and games the place has. So this place is super cute and the food was awesome.! I came here on the weekend and as you would imagine it was packed. Had to wait about half an hour for 3 people. If you can make reservations online save yourself the trouble. If you park in the parking garage, they validate your ticket and it's free to park there. Now the ambience very nice service was fantastic . Now the star of the show, THE FOOD!! Started with the eggs and tots and substituted the bacon for turkey sausage. It was great. I would still recommend to venture out because it's your typical breakfast. Next we had the breakfast tacos. I absolutely loved it. The only modification that I would make would be to add some kind of protein. This does not come with any protein. We split a pineapple and I believe Nutella pancake. I am not a pancake explorer and when I tell you, this was delicious oh my Goodness. Please guys try this and try this and try this. I've been to Hatch in Fort Lauderdale a few times, and normally I really enjoy it--the food is genuinely great, and I usually have an amazing experience. Unfortunately, our visit on New Year's Day was a completely different story. I understand that Hatch doesn't take reservations and that waiting is part of the deal, especially on a holiday. That said, honesty about wait times matters. We put our name down and were told 30 minutes, which turned into an hour and 15 minutes before we were seated. They were handing out hot chocolate to keep people happy, which was a nice gesture, but I would have much preferred transparency. If we'd known the real wait time, we would have had the option to go somewhere else. Once we finally sat down, things didn't improve. My friend received her meal in about 20 minutes, while I waited almost 40 minutes for mine. She had nearly finished eating before my food arrived. We had to flag down a random server just to figure out what was going on. Our waiter was inattentive and, from what we could tell, only had about three tables. By that point, I was ready to leave and not eat at all. It's disappointing because I know how good Hatch can be. I really hope this was just a rough holiday service day, but between the inaccurate wait time and the poor table service, this visit missed the mark. read more

From the decor to the food everything is well thought of. The corned beef was clearly not from a can but real chunks of corned beef with chunks of potatoes and it was so tasty as well as plenty in terms of portion. My husband got the hangover burger. He said it was so different than anything he's ever tried and he loved it. He always loves to eat the classic burgers, but this one was so different with off-the-wall things in it and he loved it.. My sister got the burrito. She said it was really excellent. My coconut milk latte was really delicious in that happy mug. It was so nice and creamy. My mom got the espresso shot and it was absolutely horrible it was so sour. She ordered a second one and the second one was also super sour. I recommend checking out what's going on with your espresso machine. Because it also tasted really burnt. The side of turkey bacon never came the waffle never came. The server kept checking on it but she was saying something was happening in the back. After an hour. I decided to leave. As I was leaving, the food came, it was not worth it and it was incorrect. So they were out of the speciality I think maybe fruity pebbles...instead of just saying that they let me wait and made attempt whatsoever to offer an alternative. Normally, the way my lack of patience and never ending time constraints are set up, I could never give them the amount of time I did, but I did, and I regret it. That's on me. First time here. Didn't find street parking and parked in the parking garage across the street. Parking will cost you about $5. We arrived at around 9 am and were seated right away. I encourage you to put yourself on the Call Ahead wait list because the restaurant was pretty busy. The food was good. Even the simple kids pancakes were delicious. Service was the only thing that was a huge issue. The food took way too long. There were other tables that arrived after us, ordered, ate, and left and we were still waiting for our food. Our waitress forgot one of our sides too. Very disappointed with the service, but the 4 stars is for the food because it was good.
