The Last Straw- The Last Noodle- The Last Date Night Overall. The Love, The Disappointments, The Finale... Being a Local, Finding this Spot, Starting Out being Our Favorite Restaurant in the Area taking Every Friend, Family Member, or Work Event for Dinner we always thought of Union and have Attended their Event Nights. The Owner and his Wife are Amazing! Always an Excitement to be Greeted by Roberto as he is Built-Up with Enthusiasm! Between Our Ventures with Dining with them we have been through a lot of Pleasure but with A Lot More Disappointed Lately. Lately.. As In.. Months Over Months of Keep Trying and Still Not Receiving which leaves us with a Huge Letdown. The Allure is The Location, The Interior, The Vibes, The Main Menu along with their Dreamy Wine List! While being Patrons we have Sat in All of their Locations of the Restaurant with having a Favorite Spot in the Back Patio that used to Call Ours. From the Front Patio to the Bar and Main Dining to the Back Patio; there is a Spot! The Food along with the Service has Greatly Depreciated to the Point that we No Longer Call on Union as this Past and Last Date Night was it. We had to have them Package Our Date Night Dinner Into Boxes to take Home as Service was Non-Existent. The Result of Our Dinner was Straight Oily Mess with Unforgettable Distaste.

We Went on a Saturday night for HH and sat on the back patio. Drinks and small plates are half price 5-7pm daily. My favorite was the crispy corn ribs. The flavor was amazing. Also delicious were the VERY meaty chicken wings with Peruvian spices. The crispy pork belly tacos are always a must. Menu changes seasonally. Dogs are welcome on the patios. Easy parking in the attached lot. Service was great.

Back Space at Union Kitchen

Union Kitchen & Bar was an excellent choice for Fort Lauderdale's Dine Out Month. The atmosphere was sexy, vibrant, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The handcrafted cocktails were beautifully balanced and truly felt mixologist-made. Our five-course dinner was flavorful, elegant, and thoughtfully prepared. The risotto and salmon were delicious, but the maple-glazed pork chop was absolutely unforgettable and easily one of the best I've had in Florida. Beautiful ambiance, wonderful service, and definitely a date-night favorite.

Excellent restaurant and bar. My wife and I really enjoyed the food, drinks and atmosphere. We sat at the bar and the staff was friendly and helpful. We started with the wings. They are excellent. Great flavor, crispy and the dipping sauce is yummy. I had the pork chop and my wife had the burger. Pork chop with super tender, flavorful and very juicy. It was excellent. The only reason they didn't get five stars is because my wife ordered her burger, medium well . Unfortunately, it came out rare, but she cut it in half before we took a bite. Rather than make her a new burger, they took the burger and cooked it more and then put it back on the bun cut in half . Will definitely return.

Food , drinks and service are great! We always have a great time and have never been disappointed with the food.

Spinach Lumache with Rabbit. $31.

Six of us had dinner at Union Kitchen before our play at the Foundry Theatre. Three in my party consider Union to be the best restaurant around. I'm giving it 4 stars because I think the small portions and modestly high prices bring it down a notch. I had the Spinach Lumache which included braised rabbit. This pasta dish was very good, a 4 for sure. The rabbit is a nice touch. My friend had a citrus salad which was delicious but the portion was small for $17. His entree was Ricotta Ravioli which contained lobster. Again, delicious but a small portion in a tiny bowl that made it difficult to eat. ($24, lunch portion). The owner was onsite and welcomed everybody and thanked us on our exit. Having separate checks did not seem to bother our waiter. I thought it was a little odd that the waiter did not bother to push second glasses of wine or cocktails. That was fine with me because the libations were premium priced. A great, popular place but a little pricey for the portions.

The space was absolutely beautiful. The server was really on top of his game. He made it very easy to appreciate good service. And the food was absolutely delicious. Didn't have room for dessert, but will definitely be back. The space was highly recommended. And it was well worth it.

My friends and I had a nice time here for a pre-game on a Saturday evening. They have a happy hour that ends at 7PM. Unfortunately, when we were there, the power was out. We couldn't get any food except for cocktail shrimp and oysters. For what we tried, everything was good. They shut down early that night because of the power. Luckily, they have outside seating so they accommodated us as best and as long as they could. It seems like this place would be busy if it weren't for the power outage that day. The ambiance is really relaxed. Everyone was nice.

The tasting was a great experience. Shout out to Rebecca. The bar area was full so we grabbed a table. It's a cute spot and has a bunch of plants on the ceiling. About a month ago I learned what Mead is and have been obsessed with trying it. Being able to ferment honey in to a wine like drink is fascinating to me. I knew we were coming down to the area for our anniversary trip. So I found this place in my search. Brewlihan and Rebecca did not disappoint. I started with the serum flight: raspberry lemonade, pear vanilla, black berry currant vanilla and strawberry watermelon. The first 2 were delicious. With my favorite being the pear vanilla. Then Rebecca started to bring me a few others to try. Nothing beat the pear vanilla. So we moved on to the full meads. So the difference is, the serums run about 5.8abv and the meads are about 12-15abv. I came home with 2 bottles of mead. The double pear vanilla and the catalyst. The double pear vanilla is self explanatory. However, the Catalyst is tangerine and pineapple age for 27 weeks in a Grand Marnier barrel. The taste is amazing. I would definitely comeback. We had a great time.

They owner was out bartender and he was a wealth of information. He was so helpful and friendly helping us make our choices. We tried 12 different flavors and even took a bottle home with us. Summer are sweeter than others, but all are wonderfully designed and brewed. I will definitely be back.

And to my surprising delight, they did. It was so delicious. But, what I really liked about Chez Vincent Wine Bar was its comfortable ambiance, good service, and stunning décor of upside-down umbrellas hanging from the ceiling; totally creative. Besides delicious wines by the bottle or by the glass, Chez Vincent Wine Bar also offers a great selection of charcutiers. I had their "Le Trio Francais" which consisted of a dry salami rosette of Lyon, Madrange white ham, and a duck rillette being a delicious pate that went so well with my Chateauneuf du Pape. They of course also have cheese plates and other good plate selections they refer to as their "Mixes," as they contain multiple mixes of true gourmet delights. The last time I was there, they also had a man playing a MIDI keyboard for entertainment.

If you had the pleasure of getting to know this lovely family from Bordeaux, France, where Vincent spent more than three decades working at Château Margaux, the prestigious Premier Grand Cru Classé estate in the Médoc region renowned for producing some of the world's finest, elegant and most coveted Cabernet Sauvignon-based wines, you will know what a loss this means for Fort Lauderdale's northeast side of town. Like I mean in $80 plus a bottle and being told that the wine I'm tasting has a nose of blackberry with undertone hints of peach; none of which I have ever been able to truly discern. So it was a joy for me to stop by The Simple Wine shop where I was given the opportunity to try several not to be found elsewhere wines and also to purchase a couple of bottles for myself. The Simple Wine had wines I've never seen before and a few I've never even heard of previously. So, I became completely fascinated in trying these new flavors and tastes as well as some that were familiar. The selection of Italian wines was amazing as they mostly came from small craft vineyards as in the type that would only supply a few select restaurants, but because of their limited capacity, not something like the big box wine chains such as Total Wines. Having spent considerable time in in the smaller country like regions of Italy, I quickly learned that I never had to purchase a bottle of wine as any restaurant house wines were the equal if not superior to any I'd find in a retail bottle. The secret behind it was that these restaurants were supplied by the small craft like vineyards. So finding out that I can now obtain these regional Italian wines from smaller craft vineyards is a real delight and a big money saver too as most of his prices seemed to have run between $15 to $25 dollars.
