This restaurant is so amazingly delicious. It is small and quaint, and PERFECT! The service is excellent and the food is excellently prepared. From the escargot, to the beef Bourgogne, and lamb shank, each were expertly prepared. And the orange soufflé...OUTSTANDING! You must try this restaurant. You will think you are in France!

Under new ownership but still traditional French cuisine and friendly service. The menu remained mostly the same with soup, salad, sandwiches, crepes and more decadent options. We came on a Sunday for brunch and the cafe was packed by 1 PM. It gets a little warm inside but they have a plastic fan running behind the bar. We started with the traditional garlic butter escargot and it was delicious. Lots of butter oil for dipping and the garlic baguette pieces were nicely toasted. The crab cake was a good sharing appetizer. Densely packed with breading and some crab meat. My Mille feuile had great taste and a lot of escargot pieces but the flaky pastry part was not as fluffy as I liked and it was weighed down but by butter which made it a bit too rich. It was like a sponge oozing out oil. The bed of greens helped cut through it a bit. My husband loved his steak frites. My dad's dish was not what we expected at all. It was more of an eggs Benedict description but came out like a soup. It had a pot of cheese pieces inside but the poached egg was a little on the raw side and with the garlic butter, it was mostly a gooey wet soupy mess inside. I think the consistency and the mix of flavors threw me off.

Wine night out with friends!!! Great place.

Our friends visiting from Naples recommended this hidden gem. We got there at 5:30pm on a Tuesday and we had the entire place for ourselves for the first hour or so, then a couple of tables filled up. Very calm and quiet experience. The services by the young lady (I forgot her name) was super friendly and to the point, good suggestions and gave us plenty of space to talk and enjoy. The quality of the food was superb, good portions and very tasty. The whole experience was great, we felt like part of the family and we will be back soon...

I mean!! I can't think of anything we wouldn't get again. And there's so much more on the menu we wanted to try! It's a small place, but the host is very accommodating and attentive. The food is absolutely amazing. Everything was a hit! The soup of the day was carrots and leaks. I thought nothing of it, but he pushed it. And it. Was. Amazing!! Seriously, everything was great. And fantastic prices! For two of us with drinks and a bunch of apps and a shared main and dessert waa $140. This spot is added for sure to our rotations!

Small, bespoke, 8 tablet restaurant with traditional French bistro fare. Escargots is their especialty. I had three courses. Escargots to start with beautifully toasted buttery bread = 7/10. Then country pate with pickles, traditional presentation but American size portion. Pate was crumbly. Those words should never go together = 6/10. Main course was a vegetable crepe which come out like an over stuffed quesadilla. It was soggy and over stuffed with vegetables that should have been cooked before hand = 5/10. I couldn't eat it. Service was excellent but I feel like they are banking on customers who don't know real French food. Obviously I was disappointed. 1 diner, three courses and 3 glasses of wine = $106.00. I wish it was better.

First time here for dinner with my husband. (Saw on TV show, Check Please) They are open for dinner on Mondays. We were immediately greeted by a lovely young woman and shown to our table. The restaurant is very charming maybe 8 tables and very quiet because it was a Monday night. The young lady who greeted us was also our server, her name is Sarah and she was very lovely and informative. We each ordered a glass of wine Les had a French red, I had a Riesling and it was a nice pour. I ordered the traditional escargot ,bubbling hot! and my husband had the French onion soup. I then had the muscles in a white wine sauce and my husband had the beef bourguignon. For dessert my husband had a cappuccino and we shared the creme brulee which was delicious almost like a candy topping on top. I would highly recommend Escargot Bistro, but I would suggest you definitely call and make reservations, the restaurant is small and I'm sure it's much busier as the week goes on. Thank you Sarah we had a great time! Nancy Kelly, Pompano Beach

Had one of my favorite people come into town today and I went to visit them. As my BD is coming up, they treated me to lunch at this magnificent restaurant! This is all our 1st time here. So quaint & personable! The owner (Stephane) is the one who catered to us while his wife is the who cooks 'chief'. Yes that's right! They are so pleasant great hospitality! Which not to many restaurants I've encountered have it! Food was absolutely delicious! We loved it all! Experience was one of my best yet! Will take the drive just not only to support but for delicious food! "Sè Magnifique'!

What a hidden gem. This is the best French food we have found here. A family run spot with wonderful food and even better people. Onion soup is the best you will find and the duck is second to none.

This is a quaint restaurant off Commercial Blvd in Oakland Park. We came with friends and had a great time. The food was enjoyed by all. Our meals consisted of Lemon Sole, Lamb Shank and a Quiche Escargot. The salads were excellent also. All the desserts are made by the servers mother in house.

Have been here a few times and I can't say bough. Hubby works the front while his amazing wife works the kitchen. Everything is freshly made each day and the service is always amazing. The atmosphere is bistro meets elegance meets simplicity and it all equals perfection. You are made to feel like family from the minute you walk in and it's no wonder they have repeat clients. It's intimate so you may want to call ahead for reservations, especially for dinner. This time we went for lunch and took advantage of the Winter lunch menu where you can get an appetizer, main course and dessert for under $30. You heard that right. I started with the Escargot Au Gratin. Bechamel, mushrooms, escargot and greens. I have to pause for a moment of silence here......just yes, yes, yes. My mom had the French onion soup and there's a reason that you want to get this at a French restaurant. Homemade broth, cheese perfectly melted and just enough bread at the bottom. Perfect ratio on all as you get cheese through the last slurp. Next up is the main course. I went with the sole with a creamy lemon sauce (they also had a vermouth sauce which I look forward to trying next time). The dish comes with some yellow, seasoned rice, steamed veggies and a beautiful cauliflower purée. It was as delicious as it was beautiful. Mom had the Crepe Ooo La La and that's exactly what she said after the first bite. Beautiful fresh salad with bright greens, a perfect crepe filled with chicken, spinach, mushrooms, bechamel and a gorgeous sauce within. It was delicate and filling. Ooo La La is the perfect name for this dish. We move on to dessert and have the crème brûlée. The perfect crackle as you break through that sugary crust and the creme underneath is just refreshing and lovely. It's light and the perfect ending to our meal. They have wine, champagne and make a mean Kir Royal (IYKYK). At the end, you will get a card with a QR code. Scan it and sign up for the updates as the specials change and they have seasonal specials. This is the best kept secret in all of Ft Lauderdale and a local favorite. I cannot recommend Escargot enough. Thank you for always giving us a beautiful, fresh, delicious meal with kind and attentive service.

I finally got the chance to check them out one afternoon when I was in the area. Brewlihan Mead is a 1,700-square-foot mead house and tasting room owned by John and Stacey Hoolihan. John had a background in science education and started out brewing as a hobby. What turned into a passion became a business. Brewlihan Mead is the first commercial meadery in Broward and Palm Beach counties. Mead, sometimes called honey wine is an alcoholic beverage made from three ingredients: fermented honey, water and yeast. It is the first alcoholic beverage consumed by mankind and is believed to predate wine by nearly three thousand years. Since the taste of honey can vary by region, mead can have a diverse and complex flavor profile. To make the mead at Brewlihan, the water, yeast and honey is placed in fermentation tanks with fruit and then aged in oak barrels for 2 to 5 months. You can take your mead to go in cans or they have a nice bar inside the tap room where you can enjoy your drink. I took my mead home and while I enjoyed all of it, my favorite was Winter in So Fla which truly evoked the tropical feel of a winter in Florida. Mead is a great alone or as a pairing to a meal. If you are a mead enthusiast they have memberships for $300 with a host of benefits listed on their website. Whether a casual or refined drinker of mead, you are sure to find something unique and delicious here. John and Stacy are so warm and friendly and this is the kind of science I really enjoy.
