This is my new favorite brunch spot in Fort Lauderdale! Service: attentive and helpful. We were served by Darcy who was quick, answered all our questions, provided great suggestions and checked up on us often. We also had constant refills from other staff Food: large portions and tasty! I got one of the omelettes and my boyfriend ordered the country fried steak. His hashbrowns could have been crispier but the flavor on everything was great. Everything was delicious. We got the biscuits grilled which was the best choice. I even liked their homemade hot sauce. I didn't love the orange juice. It was fresh squeezed but a little more sour than I would have liked. I was hoping we would have room for dessert but we were stuffed and even took portions to go. Ambiance: diner style but updated and it's a pretty large space. Everything is clean, including the bathroom. Parking is kind of tricky out front but there are ample spots around the side and back. We showed up around 1 on a Saturday and we were seated immediately.

So good licked the eggs benny sauce off my Plate . Great prices , fresh juice and beautiful inside !

My wife and I are longtime customers of Mom's Kitchen, and we're so happy they're now open for dinner Wednesday through Friday! We've always loved coming here because the food is consistently delicious, fresh, and comforting, and the service makes you feel right at home. It's one of those local restaurants you genuinely enjoy supporting. Having Mom's Kitchen open for dinner is a great addition for us as we work from home and are anxious to go out and get dinner in a safe cozy place. If you're looking for a casual dinner spot, great comfort food, friendly service, and a local neighborhood restaurant, definitely give them a try Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday night. My wife and I are true customers and big fans.  Highly recommended for breakfast, lunch, and now dinner! -Danny F

First we walked into smiling faces and pies at the front. Stephanie was our server, what a beautiful smile and attitude. The inside is quite and roomy, they also have outside seating.

Had dinner at Mom Kitchen and Marie was our server -- she made the whole experience. She was attentive without hovering, checked in at just the right moments, and gave genuinely helpful recommendations when we couldn't decide. Great energy the whole night, and it's clear she actually cares about the guest experience, not just running through the motions. The food was great, but Marie's service is what's bringing us back. Ask for her section if you can!

Went here for the first time after a friend's strong recommendation. It's been a Fort Lauderdale-area staple for decades, but somehow I had missed coming here for breakfast! We were able to snag a parking spot in front. I am not sure if there's parking around the back, but I can imagine parking can be a little difficult at times. We were greeted warmly upon entering, and they sat us in the annex section. The room we were in can be reserved for a large parties. The decor was modern and there are several TV screens with information about the restaurant and menu. Our waitress was very attentive and told us about the menu. There are many solid breakfast staples available. I was in the mood for just eggs and pancakes, and they were both prepared well. The coffee is quite good, too. I think next time I come, I would like to try their lunch offerings.

Mom's Kitchen has been serving the public for over 50 years. They must be doing something right, but on my first and recent visit, I wasn't impressed enough that I need to go back. The food was fine, but not outstanding. The restaurant was clean. The hostess wasn't too welcoming and the waitstaff wasn't very friendly. That doesn't work for me. ‍

I absolutely adore this place! I thought I had written a review already? I guess not! This is a beautifully constructed business with ridiculously good food and specials. They have a loyal clientele base that opens the store with them every morning 15 minutes before opening. They have Bloody Marys and homemade sangria but my favorite was the strawberry mimo set with fresh juice. There are two sections to this restaurant, you can reserve one space for private functions or corporate events, there are bathrooms in each of the spots, and they have booths or tables. There is no outside seating and there is a parking lot that fills up quickly.

Corned Beef Sandwich, not much corned beef

Sad because from the looks of it I thought I found a hidden gem! I ordered a corned beef sandwich to go. The bread was burnt and over buttered, the corned beef was very limited (would guess 1/4lb or less!), and so were the fries (less than a handful). Cole slaw was ok, mayo based but not too soggy. For $20 I can go to Smoke, FatBoyz, Goldbergs, or Top Hat and do a lot better. It was quite busy on a Sunday morning but they were seating tables quickly. You enter your name at a kiosk if you want to dine in.

The food here was delicious! Our waitress, Marie, was attentive and sooo pleasant. We ate outside and enjoyed the patio section. Very clean. Will definitely be back when we are in town.

I attended a breakfast meeting at Mom's kitchen and wanted to share that they have a very nice and separate dining area for events! The breakfast was presented as a breakfast buffet with eggs, home potatoes, bacon and sausage and the most delicious biscuits I have had in a loooooong while! They were yummy. Crumbly and just fantastic! Anyway: the service was great and the event was very informative as well! Plan on returning to try some of their menu: but I'll go early because this place fills up fast! Enjoy!

We went today for a birthday breakfast at Moms Kitchen in Ft. Lauderdale and if you haven't been there you're missing out. A large place to handle big crowds with attentive and friendly staff, a huge selection of food at reasonable prices and huge portions. Been around since 1972 and is a great spot for breakfast and lunch. I had a burger with bacon, egg and hash browns on a waffle and damn it was amazing.

We waited about 10 mins to be seated, but our waitress was there in mins. We ordered the El Greco skillet, country fried steak and a side of biscuits and gravy. Delicious food and good portions. I must mention the coffee was acceptable. Not the best but not the worst. Not just our waitress, but all staff members we interacted with were lovely. As far as diners are concerned, this is one of the good ones.

Or you come because places like this are becoming harder and harder to find. I came for all of the above. Lester's has been one of those dependable Fort Lauderdale diners for years, and I always seem to end up ordering one of two things: eggs with potatoes and a bagel, or a burger and fries. They've never let me down. Their spanakopita is also worth mentioning. Made the traditional Greek way, it's one of those hidden gems on the menu that doesn't get enough attention. This visit, though, I decided to color outside the lines. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak omelette. The eggs were cooked just right. The peppers and cheese worked well together, but I thought the filling needed a little more seasoning. It wasn't bad by any stretch... just a bit bland for something inspired by a Philly cheesesteak. We also started with the onion rings, and those were excellent. Crispy on the outside, tender onions inside, and exactly what an onion ring should be. My wife went with the chocolate chip pancakes. Calling them "large" doesn't do them justice. These things arrived looking like they had their own ZIP code. They were fluffy, loaded with chocolate chips, and the kind of breakfast that makes you question whether lunch is even necessary. But the real star of the meal wasn't on the menu. It was our server, Olivia. Let's be honest. Waiting tables at a diner may not be anybody's dream job, but you never would've known it from the way she took care of us. She was friendly, helpful, attentive, and seemed to be everywhere she needed to be before we even realized we needed something. I'd come back just for her service. Five stars for Olivia. Four stars for Lester's. Sometimes a restaurant isn't about chasing perfection. It's about being exactly what you need it to be, exactly when you need it. Lester's has been doing that for a long time.
