Jersey approved since we are the diner capital of the world, we recognized the fun, the extensive menus and great customer service! The food was definitely for a Hungry Couple vs. Hungry Man! LOL -- the atmosphere brought me back in time and it was fun! Recommend a visit!

It was almost noon, yet I wanted breakfast. I am always driving past Moonlite Diner, telling myself one day I'm gonna stopped there and have some breakfast...well, today is that day. I appreciate diners that offers all day breakfast. With me not being much of an early bird, I don't have to feel the pressure of eating between the normal breakfast hours. Upon entering the diner, I was greeted by the server who led me to an available booth. The diner definitely had that early 80s vibe with retro pictures and signs along the walls. I took a few minutes to overlook the menu as the server came back with my drink. I saw that they have French toast on the menu, but if I wanted anything with it, (eggs, bacon, hash browns, toast, etc) it's an additional charge for each....that's messed up. Not wanting to take up too much time, I ordered the French toast and added eggs...just because. When the food arrived a few minutes later, I started with the eggs which was scrambled nicely. Added some salt and pepper for flavor and was enjoying every bite. The French toast was alright. It didn't have that cinnamon flavor that I absolutely love and I also noticed that the bread was not coated in egg batter....which is the main part of making French toast. Why make something if you're not gonna make it right?! I originally was gonna give this review two stars, but the eggs was delicious, the service was satisfactory, and the atmosphere was very comfortable. I would give Moonlite Diner another chance and try something else next time.

I came here for a birthday breakfast for my daughter and we had a great experience. This is an old fashioned diner with old school decor and great service. Our waitress Sarah was super sweet and even made the staff sing to my daughter for her birthday. I ordered the hot fudge milkshake which was amazing and the hungry man. The food was delicious and the place was really nostalgic. Thank you Sarah from New York for the great service! My daughter was super happy.

I stopped in to grab some takeout. The restaurant was super clean and completely empty. The servers were nice while I waited and they were cleaning which was nice to see they weren't just sitting since they were so empty. I like the look of old school dinner just had a cool vibe. I got a Reuben sandwich that was really got although a little small and has a side of tater tots. Everything was delicious. They did charge an extra fee to use a credit card that's slightly annoying.

Christmas Day breakfast at 230pm Stephanie, our server in her Christmas pajamas was too cute. The staff is extremely friendly from the cute hostesses to the jolly manager. The food was good and hot. My daughter had a sirloin that was a hefty size and cooked to perfection, my friend had grits, and she was amazingly pleased, and I had the country fried steak. Everything was cooked to perfection. We left with three milkshakes with big smiles on our faces.

First and foremost - this diner looks like you stepped into a movie! It's so cute and was well decorated for Halloween! I like the chill vibe. The food and service were amazing. I had breakfast for dinner and it was so good. The servers were really nice and I definitely enjoyed my entire experience. If you want an old school diner feel, make sure to check this place out!

Nice diner ambiance. The mashed potatoes tasted as if instant mashed potatoes (of course I cannot be sure, but did tasted like instant mashed potatoes). The meatloaf and vegetables were good. Service was fair.

Amazing country fried steak along with biscuit and gravy. Seems a little understaffed. Staff tried to keep up with what they could and did a great job!

LOVE the exterior of this diner, it attracted me immediately to come try this place! Server was great! Friendly and full of energy and the food was amazing! Best diner I think I've ever been too :)

The food was delivered to our table hot and fresh. Our waitress was very attentive and checked on us often. Cute diner with looks of yesteryear. Fun setting for sure. There is outdoor seating as well as indoor. Sorry there is no pictures of the food as I got into conversation with the table across the way.

We waited about 10 mins to be seated, but our waitress was there in mins. We ordered the El Greco skillet, country fried steak and a side of biscuits and gravy. Delicious food and good portions. I must mention the coffee was acceptable. Not the best but not the worst. Not just our waitress, but all staff members we interacted with were lovely. As far as diners are concerned, this is one of the good ones.

Or you come because places like this are becoming harder and harder to find. I came for all of the above. Lester's has been one of those dependable Fort Lauderdale diners for years, and I always seem to end up ordering one of two things: eggs with potatoes and a bagel, or a burger and fries. They've never let me down. Their spanakopita is also worth mentioning. Made the traditional Greek way, it's one of those hidden gems on the menu that doesn't get enough attention. This visit, though, I decided to color outside the lines. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak omelette. The eggs were cooked just right. The peppers and cheese worked well together, but I thought the filling needed a little more seasoning. It wasn't bad by any stretch... just a bit bland for something inspired by a Philly cheesesteak. We also started with the onion rings, and those were excellent. Crispy on the outside, tender onions inside, and exactly what an onion ring should be. My wife went with the chocolate chip pancakes. Calling them "large" doesn't do them justice. These things arrived looking like they had their own ZIP code. They were fluffy, loaded with chocolate chips, and the kind of breakfast that makes you question whether lunch is even necessary. But the real star of the meal wasn't on the menu. It was our server, Olivia. Let's be honest. Waiting tables at a diner may not be anybody's dream job, but you never would've known it from the way she took care of us. She was friendly, helpful, attentive, and seemed to be everywhere she needed to be before we even realized we needed something. I'd come back just for her service. Five stars for Olivia. Four stars for Lester's. Sometimes a restaurant isn't about chasing perfection. It's about being exactly what you need it to be, exactly when you need it. Lester's has been doing that for a long time.

This is the kind of place where the taste of grandmother's cooking triumphs over pretty furniture every time. Who needs chandeliers when the corned beef sings? And then, the matzo ball soup pure poetry in a bowl. Golden, comforting, restorative. It warms not just your body but something deeper, something older.
