Had breakfast here with the family on a Monday. The service was ok, but there seemed to be some confusion with the servers and the hostesses changing up the table orders when we arrived. The food was average but good. My husband ordered the avocado toast and the poached egg came broken already and it wasn't enough to fill him up. I ordered the breakfast burrito and subbed bacon instead of the chorizo. The burrito is a large enough meal - I was only able to eat half of it. The kids had chocolate chip pancakes- it comes with two large ones ($8) which could be split easily with smaller kids. Overall a very nice location and decent food but nothing particularly special about this place that would have me coming back as soon as possible.
this was a really nice spot for brunch! we sat out on the patio and got to overlook the beach, which made the experience even better. i got the belgian waffle with orange juice to start, and it was so delicious! they also had quite a variety of options on their menu, so there was definitely something for everyone. the service was great! would love to come back and try some of the other brunch options!
Um, yum! For a last-minute breakfast stop-- chosen more for it's convenience than anything else--this was a score! The food was delicious and the pricing surprisingly affordable! I had the huevos rancheros, and it was so good! The sauce knocked was the star but every layer had flavor, and the eggs were cooked perfectly. I will say the coffee is pretty mediocre, but they will keep refilling it as many times as you ask. And they had honey for it which was a nice surprise.
This is one of my favorite beach restaurants. I will always make a trip there to celebrate or just to hang out...day or night. The food is always excellent. Try the weekend brunch if you can!
Stunning views with equally impressive food. What more could you ask for?! My small group and I just flew into town on a super early morning redeye, and we were looking for a brunch spot. Since it was our first time in town, we were seeking something that allowed us to soak in the amazing local scenery, and of course, provide exceptional fare. Using this here invaluable app, I was able to whittle it down to a few options, but with a majestic beachfront setting, and appetizing food offerings, we were sold on Tinta! Upon first arrival, we noticed that it is attached to the Westin Hotel, so although a bit touristy in that regard, since we were new to the area ourselves, we didn't mind one bit. We were initially seated in a table away from the view, but what's the fun in that? Fortunately, we were able to easily switch. And what a view it was! You can't beat a lovely SoFla morning with clear skies and white sand beaches. Everything on the menu honestly sounds quite droolworthy, and pricing isn't outrageous in the least, despite being in a fancy touristy area hotel. The first thing that caught my eye was the Carnitas Hash, which was reasonably priced at $17. Think of it as something similar to Corned Beef Hash, but with Carnitas. What I wasn't expecting though was the absolutely GARGANTUAN portion that would easily have cost in the mid 20s or higher in most other establishments. Anyone who knows me knows that I could give Kobayashi a run for his money, and even I could barely finish this! And to top it off, the taste was absolutely incredible! The rest of my posse ordered a variety of of things, such as Quesadilla （$13）, Avocado Toast （$11-17）, etc., and they all loved it as much as I enjoyed mine, and of course the portions were equally massive. To wash down my Carnitas Hash, I also imbibed in some Iced Flat White, and this too was plenty delectable. In addition, while specialized coffee has a small fee, regular is free of charge! As mentioned, it was my first time in Ft. Lauderdale, and Tinta certainly gave an inspiring first impression. In some ways, Ft. Lauderdale actually reminds me of Huntington Beach a bit closer to home. In the near future, I certainly hope to make more frequent trips to SoFla, and Tinta will undoubtedly be a part of the itinerary.
Great breakfast spot. It's situated in the Westin hotel and has great ocean views. They have indoor and outdoor seating. As titanium Marriott bonvoy members, we received a breakfast voucher each morning of our stay, which is good for your choice of coffee or orange juice and an entree from a select menu (see pics). I found the select menu to have many great options. I had the "smothered burrito" which was huge and delicious and did not have any beans. The "traditional eggs Benedict" was typical and came with a large portion of their potatoes- yum. The "huevos rancheros" was great too but I wished it had those potatoes. My husband had the "applewood bacon and poached egg avocado toast" twice because it was so good. We ordered two additional eggs sunny to go with it, as that dish only had one poached egg. He also got the "two eggs your way" which comes with choice of protein, potatoes and two slices of sourdough toast w butter (no jam). He ordered bacon egg and cheese taco with that dish to maximize his protein intake. That was tasty. Everything we ate here was a good portion. I saw the regular menu. Dishes are about $16. The pancakes looked awesome- maybe we will get that next time. Pancakes would pair well with the hash- it looks like a huge dish. They have a breakfast cocktail menu. I had the bloody Maria (nothing special but it said house made bloody mix so I wanted to try it), which came with a celery stick. I think next time I'll do the coffee inspired cocktails. Those sound amazing. We ate inside because the wind was crazy like 25mph. We ate outside one day, when the wind wasn't as bad, and found that there are some pesky birds trying to steal food off of server trays. So if you don't want the birds, sit inside. The place gets busy; you can make a reservation. We never had to wait in line long or wait for a table, but I think that's because we're hotel guests. Once sat, we did wait more than 20 min to receive our food. But it's ok. The coffee is good. The restaurant turns into Lona for lunch and dinner. They give you the Lona drink menu for breakfast too if you're more in the mood for a margarita. Bar seating is first come first served. Bathrooms are inside the hotel lobby. There is no parking for the restaurant but you can valet.
What a cool spot!! Wish we went here everyday for breakfast. We went here on the very last day of our vacation. Such a beautiful view of the beach. I ordered the Yucatan omelet. It was stuffed with crab. All of its elements played so well with one another and I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed the pickled onion on it. The waiter we had was phenomenal. So engaging and funny
Came here for breakfast, very tasty carne asada w/ chimichuri sauce. Very impressed with the attentive service with a spectacular beach view! We'll probably gonna stay at the Westin above it the next time we're in town.

Visiting from TN and my friend & I stopped in here on a Sunday morning at about 10:30am before we headed back home. We were sat on the patios right away. We had a perfect view of the water- it was gorgeous. I ordered the hash & she ordered the quesadilla. We loved both of them & they were both good size portions. We both ordered a soda. The hash was $18 and soda $3- seemed like good price/value. Our server didn't come for a few minutes, a little longer than typical but when she did she was friendly and helpful. We asked for waters & they were brought with our sodas. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star is due to the bit of extended wait to be greeted by our server, the fact that we weren't brought water within a few minutes & that we thought they could maybe put up some fans or do something to help with the heat on the patio. We loved our view so it's a bit hard but it was about 90 & end of May so I know it will get even hotter so we were just thinking maybe they could have some fans above or fans that mist water to help with still being able to enjoy gorgeous view but not be uncomfortably hot. Overall we had a wonderful experience & would recommend it
Visited your restaurant recently and had breakfast.. the food was great . i had the avocado toas Benedict t. the service was fantastic. our Server Nicole was courteous and knowledgeable. sweet and always had a smile. i hoghly recommend for breakfast and brunch . Ask for Nicole you'll have a very pleasant time!

Bartender was nice and the location was cute- you can see the beach! We got pancakes and they're a large size and pretty taste. Mine were a touch dry so I had to use syrup ( other places I haven't had to and it would have been a sweetness overload). I'd visit again and try other things.

Smothered burrito was very tasty. Grade: A. They have a house made habanero sauce which I found by reading yelp! Plug there for yelp. Burrito was huge. White chocolate blueberry pancakes short stack is two fairly large pancakes. Grade: A Service was good. Spicy Bloody Mary. Grade: B. They indicated they had house made Bloody Mary mix. It was just ok. Wasn't spicy. Overall this was a great yelp pick! read more

Came here for brunch, and our entire group truly enjoyed our meals. Not a single person had a complaint, and we all agreed we'd come back if we had more time in the area. The line was insanely long, but we got lucky and snagged seats at the bar as soon as a group left. I ordered the applewood bacon with poached eggs, and it was a solid 10/10--very filling, packed with flavor, and beautifully presented. My friends ordered the hash and omelet, and we also shared the dulce de leche pancakes. Everything was delicious. The beautiful waterfront views made the experience even better. My only advice is to come prepared for a wait, because this place is clearly popular for a reason! read more

Wow the food was amazing and the view of the beach is stunning. Came here on a recommendation from a friend and it did not disappoint! Service was good, very happy and engaging staff - a little slow to put in order and get check but we weren't bothered by it. I had the avocado toast with bacon and it was fire! The flavours were so good together highly recommend! read more
Breakfast/Brunch spot is the best thing I've came across in Ft Lauderdale. Right across the street from the beach, it is a great weekend spot with great food and cocktails. Jared, who has to be the best bartender there in my opinion, always has great suggestions for items on the menu as well as being very friendly and welcoming whenever I come to the bar. The open, beach views makes this restaurant a great spot when looking to spend the day out eating, drinking and end the day at the beach. read more

Tinta is located in the Westin. Ft. Lauderdale Beach, and breakfast at Tinta is part of the perk of being a Bonvoy Platinum Elite member. There was a line at the hostess stand for hotel guests/reservations and walk-ins, and it was busy. The hostess was alternating between the lines, so what was even the point of having two lines?!?! When we finally got seated and said we were okay with an inside table, we got stuck into an area that appeared to be an afterthought where no server appeared for while. I understand that it's busy, but have someone stop by to at least acknowledge that you are there. And then just because I had a breakfast voucher being an elite hotel member doesn't mean that I wouldn't be open to purchasing a extras, such as a breakfast cocktail or other breakfast items, but they never even gave us the menus so their loss on the extra revenue and tips. The service was slow because they were so busy. However, the food was decent, and we'll probably do it all over again because of the vouchers. Otherwise, I'd look for an alternative breakfast spot. read more

I had really high hopes for this breakfast visit due to the great rating this restaurant has but my experience fell short. My order consisted of the Machaca Skillet and a side of Papas Racheras (potatoes). The positives were, a) the portion size (massive amount of food) and b) the great flavor of the Machaca (shredded beef with onions, bell pepper & tomato. Now the negatives, a) the 3 poached eggs were all over-cooked/hard yolks, b) the side of potatoes were cold and had an unappealing texture. I'm not positive but I have a feeling they were left over from the day before because I arrived at 7am which is when this restaurant opens so if they made the potatoes fresh they couldn't have been this bad and c) after the waiter took my order and never saw him again until I was ready for the bill. He never checked in on me which is a shame because I had pierced all 3 eggs to show him the hard yolks and ate very slowly so the proof would be on the plate when he checked on me but alas, he never showed. If I lived in the area I may give them another try because of the potential with this dish. read more

Within walking distance of our hotel, this spot was an easy and pleasant find. We went to the host stand and were seated within just a few moments at a table for two with a beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean. Our waiter was fun, professional, and genuinely happy, which set a great tone for the meal. My husband ordered a chelada with tequila, and I had a Bloody Mary with tequila--both drinks were perfectly made and arrived quickly while our food was being prepared. The short wait didn't bother us at all, as we enjoyed people-watching, the ocean view, and birds that kept our attention. I ordered the tequila salmon avocado sandwich with a yogurt and berry side, and my husband chose the breakfast quesadilla. The food came out hot, incredibly fresh, and full of flavor. Everything was very palatable and thoroughly enjoyable. We both used the restroom, which turned into a bit of an adventure since it's located through the Westin hotel lobby. However, the signage was clear, making it easy to find. The facilities were clean, well-marked, and we had no issues getting in and out. Overall, a great experience with excellent food, drinks, service, and views. read more
Fantastic breakfast / brunch inside the Westin. You'll get great Mexican influenced food with killer direct views of the Atlantic. 5 star food: I had a Mexico City omelet...sure of a spicier version of traditional Spanish omelet. My partner had crab Benedict, which was also off da charts papi. Hehe 5 star service: after being greeted by a very cool guy with a cool dragonfly pendant, we had fantastic service throughout the meal 5 star ambience: the amazing wraparound ocean view from the patio is, well, amazing. Great spot right in front of the new beach. I had the huevos rancheros and they were really tasty -- fresh ingredients, nice flavor, and just the right amount of spice. I also tried the breakfast carajillo, and it was delicious. Definitely a nice way to start the day. The music was good, the vibe was chill, and the service was friendly and efficient. Everything came out quickly and the staff made sure we had everything we needed. Perfect place to relax, enjoy some good food, and take in the beach view. Would happily come back! read more

Stopped in for breakfast on a Saturday morning while staying at a nearby hotel. Lots of options on the menu for full bar drinks and coffee. They offer milk alternatives such as almond and oat milk . We sat outside looking at the ocean, which was a great view. We ordered the two eggs breakfast with bacon as well as 2 tacos with eggs. Service was attentive and fast even with lots of tables on the patio . Definitely recommend since there's more food options if you're in the area. read more

We were so excited to have breakfast here but we're very disappointed. The pancakes were meh, I did not try but Mr , who only always orders pancakes wherever he goes, said they were too chewy. Probably the only time he did not finish his plate!! My burrito seemed like a bad mish mash of everything. I could not taste any of the ingredients except the potatoes which were unnecessarily cut too big. We both finished what we could and moved on with our day. read more

Delicious food. Good service, great music, We arrived at 10:30am after a walk along the beach and were seated on the shady patio right away. Our food only took a few minutes. We ordered the smoked salmon Benedict, French toast, eggs and turkey bacon. We liked everything we ordered. We will definitely some back. read more

Great food, service, and view! My small group visited on a weekday over the summer. There was plenty of street parking available behind the building. However, it filled up quickly closer to lunch time. Despite the heat, we sat outside facing the beach. The shade in the patio definitely makes the weather bearable. I ordered the Crab Benedict, which came with breakfast potatoes. I was very happy with the large chunks of crab! With several meals under $20, Tinta is relatively affordable, especially being a beach-front restaurant. read more
Tinta is the breakfast location for the beachfront Westin, later in the day it becomes Lona Cocina but uses the same facilities. We enjoyed a wonderful (and huge) breakfast on the beach with pancakes and mimosas. Our waitstaff was excellent, especially Nelson who was super friendly and took great care of us. Eating breakfast watching the sunrise over the beach may have been the best part of our entire visit, it was a great start to our day for sure. read more

I discovered Tina through the reviews and was pleasantly surprised. Although it's located in a touristy spot under the Westin Hotel, the food is excellent--fresh, flavorful, and high quality. I've been here a few times now and especially love the chocolate chip pancakes and avocado toast. Today I tried the jumbo lump crab omelet, which was delicious as well. The beautiful view makes it an even better spot for breakfast--I definitely recommend it. read more

loved this place for breakfast! we were consistently check on by staff, food and drinks came out quickly and very delish! each table also had this little set of mini jelly's, tabasco and ketchup which i thought was so precious. i will def come again! read more
