The food was okay but not what I would have envisioned for a $110 meal. $9 espresso, $7 hot chocolate. The prices seem ridiculous for the quality of what we got. Our server was nice but slow and food was okay at best. My wife compared it to a hotel breakfast. We were really looking forward to stopping by but were let down by poor quality and crazy bill.

Cafe seating area. The whole cafe is outdoors!

This is such a gorgeous cafe! Our server was Jojo, and he was very pleasant and made our experience excellent. This entire cafe is outdoors, so it's best to visit during weather where you can tolerate being outdoors. There is lots of shade, so the sun won't be beating on you directly, and there are fans around the tables as well. There are also those little fly fans on each table to keep flies away from your food, so it's clear that they've done their due diligence with creating a comfortable outdoor environment. This was my first time visiting, and I was pleased with everything I ordered. My fiance had been here once before on his own, and brought me along this time to experience it for myself! I ordered the iced Rosa Latte, the Breakfast Bowl, and a plan Belgian waffle. He had an iced Chai Latte, and the Pancake Sandwich. Here are our thoughts of each item: Rosa Latte: I got mine with almond milk, and it was just the right amount of sweet. The rose syrup brings a truly unique flavor that I can hardly describe myself! If you like your tea with milk and honey (or any sweetener) and you also like lattes, you'll enjoy this. Breakfast Bowl: everything was cooked perfectly. I was surprised at the heaping scoop of perfectly ripe avocado on top--I wasn't expecting so much avocado, in a good way. Most restaurants are stingy with avocado. The eggs were fluffy, the bacon was crispy, and everything tasted like an extremely well made home breakfast. The eggs were not salted, which I preferred because I was able to add the amount of salt I wanted. Pancake Sandwich: My fiance ordered this one, and he described it as the perfect blend of sweet and savory. The pancake (bread) was a normal pancake size, which made the sandwich a bit difficult to hold given that pancakes aren't very firm, so some people might find it easier to use utensils to eat this. I tasted the pink mayonnaise, and it tasted homemade! If you like deviled eggs, the pink mayonnaise tastes like fresh deviled eggs. It's lovely. Overall, this was a super pleasant experience. The server that my fiance had last time (I didn't catch his name) also remembered him and stopped by our table to say hello. The prices here are a bit higher for a breakfast cafe, but once you taste everything you'll understand why. It's clear that all the food and drinks use fresh ingredients, and the staff takes pride in it!

While working in the Fort Lauderdale area, I found myself in post office in Oakland Park, and getting peckish. This garden restaurant is across the Dixie Hwy from the post office, making it convenient. I loved it. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options. I got the salad with a scoop of tuna salad and a scoop of chicken salad, pictured below. The service was pretty great, and the ambience can't be beat. They know that because it outside but covered, there will be flies, so every table has a wee machine that spins to scare the flies away. The food is fresh, delicious, and the place is cute as a button. I'm ready to go back.

Can't believe I had never heard anything about this lovely little spot! The concept is wonderful this time of year, all outdoor seating in a covered patio! It was a great experience during the cooler months but I imagine it might not be as comfortable in the summer. This menu was BIG! There are almost too many options to choose from and everything looks so great. I when with the Croque Madame and a very fun, seasonal, Ube Chai Latte. The beverage was so yummy! It was balanced and not too sweet. The sandwich was also tasty, I think I could have gone with slightly less melted cheese and a little more béchamel sauce but the egg was cooked perfectly. The beet ginger dressing on the side salad was excellent, I would buy it by the bottle if I could! Overall I thoroughly enjoyed my meal! We had a great a great server and everyone that stopped by our table was very helpful. I really enjoyed our brunch here and have added to my list to bring any visitors!

    Amazing fresh Brazilian style coffee
    David B.

Had a chance to stop at this resturant after church today with mi amor. What a wonderful place it is and what an enjoyable brunch/time we had. The Brazilian style coffee served was a unique experience for us. We loved the Brazilian waffle bread served with sweet strawberry jam. If you have ever had the traditional cheese bread served at any Brazilian steakhouse then you know how tasty this combination had to be. I had the pillow breakfast sandwich, which was amazing, and my partner had the omelet, which she said was the best omelet she's ever eaten. Service and atmosphere was equally met, which is always a plus. Can't wait to come back and explore more of their attractive menu.

What drew me to this place was their Instagram page, reviews , and pictures . I tried this place for Sunday brunch with a group of friends . It was mid June but thankfully they had several fans running and it wasn't too warm. They have several types of coffee drinks and a wide selection of breakfast items. I had an omelette which was great and an iced coffee. During our visit, a manager or owner stopped by our table to make sure all was good - which was nice . The ambiance was on point and added to an outdoorsy garden feel. Will be back

WOW WOW WOW! Bulegreen exceeded our expectations by miles!! We were on a little staycation for the weekend and I found this spot on Yelp as it was highly rated and what a fantastic brunch find! Our whole experience was so incredibly awesome from start to finish. There is an iPad upon arrival where you place your name and # of people in your party and it indicates the waiting time. We only waited 10 minutes to be seated and there were 6 parties ahead of us. Everything was organized. This restaurant is completely outdoors but has adequate covering from rain and the elements. There were a lot of fans as well. The decor was all greenery from flowers to green plants surrounding the whole interior. It felt like being inside of a greenhouse! We ordered the bule of coffee which is a must if you're a coffee drinker! A bule is the name of the tin kettle used in the country of Brazil that acts as a filter method of brewing coffee. They bring the whole pot to the table and it drips before your eyes. It's wonderful! We ordered the pillow sandwich, Texas brisket and the French toast. All of them were AMAZING! I loved how the pillow sandwich came in dough that was shaped like a real pillow! All of the attention to detail was just spot on. The brisket and French toast were 10/10 as well!! I recommend getting the cheesy waffles as your starter. They were sooo delicious and went so well paired with the entree. We got the chocolate Nutella croissant for dessert with strawberries. NOTHING disappointed at Bulegreen. From the great service, to the creativity of dishes and the gorgeous decor, I would recommend this spot to ANYONE!

Cute place with delicious food and excellent service. Really just that simple. It's all outdoor seating, so it was pretty hot even though they have fans. I definitely recommend dining here!

"It brought me back to my time in Brazil," said my wife who spent almost a year in Brazil. This cafe is actually from Brazil and maintains its fresh ingredients and good vibes. Popping in on a Saturday in July for brunch around 11am, we got a table right away. Their entire dining space is outside but they decorate it well with fountains, decorations, and fans. The cheese balls come out hot and with strawberry jam. They are so good! I loved the Croque Madame and my wife loved her grain bowl. The coffee is authentic and delicious too. Service is top notch!

this restaurant had a warm and inviting energy about it. When you walk in, it is aesthetically, pleasing. The food was good. I had the veganana. I did enjoy my dish. I wish I would have told them light peanut butter because it was a lot. The service was good. There was only one person serving the entire establishment. Which was fine. He was very attentive. His name was JoJo. He came back and checked on us and was very friendly.

Thai Iced Tea & Chicken salad with Quinoa Bowl
    Jemimah T.

Visited Bulegreen cafe yard for lunch and it was a great afternoon with vibrant retreat. I ordered the Quinoa bowl which consisted of a twist and savory ginger herbs and beets combo, loaded cucumber, tomatoes and avocado and chicken salad. I paired this meal with the Thai ice tea, first time trying that flavor and it had a smooth consistency like carrot juice. Besides the delicious food, service went well and I'd recommend if you're looking for a chill wellness afternoon vibes!

We were staying down the road and I spotted some fantastic reviews of the Bulegreen and I was pulled in by phenomenal ambiance. If the weather's nice, this is the place to go. Coffee beverages came out freshly crafted, my oatmilk iced mocha was perfection! To start we tried the cheese bread waffles and honestly these were the stars of the show. Classic Brazilian cheese bread flavor served in a round waffle format and served with sweet jam. The nooks of the waffle held the jam for a perfect bite each time. The salmon croquette was great, but beyond rich! You may want to order something light or acidic to counterbalance the lush salmon and egg sauce. Service was snappy, no complaints, would love to visit again and try some of the funky looking specials.

Four of us had brunch here with our two dogs. We were seated right away. The place is such a cute spot with very friendly staff. The food and coffee was excellent! So fresh and tasty. Good portions too. They even gave our dogs their own water bowls. We don't live in town but would definitely make this a frequent spot if we did.

Before I ever tasted a single bean, the name stopped me cold. Calusa. A roaster bearing the name of…read morean Indigenous people -- the Calusa, the ancient shell-mound builders, the unconquered lords of South Florida's mangroves and waterways. People who never surrendered. People whose bones are folded into this very soil. As someone who walks through this world carrying Taíno blood and the memory of peoples whose names colonizers tried to erase, that word hit different. It wasn't a gimmick. It wasn't a logo. It was a declaration -- that this land has a story older than any espresso machine, and somebody here understood that. That understanding alone earned my curiosity and my respect before I'd even stepped through the door. "The name carried the weight of a people who never bent. That's the kind of legacy worth building a roastery around." Then I learned the story behind the man behind the roaster -- and it only deepened my respect. Luis Arteaga came home from serving in the United States Marine Corps and did what so many veterans do: he looked for work. No fanfare. No red carpet. Just a man with discipline in his bones and calluses on his hands, trying to find his next mission in a civilian world that doesn't always know what to do with people like that. He found his way to the original owners of Calusa Coffee Roasters. They saw in him what the Corps had always seen -- dependability, grit, and a willingness to learn. They gave him a job. A floor to stand on. And Luis did what Marines do -- he didn't just fill a position, he grew into something greater. Over time, through sweat and dedication and an unmistakable passion for the craft, he rose to become the owner of the very roastery that once took a chance on him. That's not a business story. That's an American story. A veteran's story. And it's exactly the kind of origin that makes a cup of coffee taste like something more than coffee. CALUSA COFFEE ROASTERS IS A SOUTH FLORIDA INSTITUTION Fast forward to today, and Calusa Coffee Roasters isn't just surviving -- it is a staple. Walk into the right cigar bar on a Friday evening and someone at the table will mention the name. Sit down at the right diner counter on a Tuesday morning and a regular will nod toward that familiar bag. In South Florida's rich, layered, cafecito-and-culture coffee landscape, that kind of word-of-mouth is earned over years of consistency, of showing up, of never letting the cup get small. Luis continues to build something that belongs to this community -- rooted in the terroir of a region as complex and layered as its people. The coffee is exceptional. Bold where it should be bold, nuanced where it earns it. The kind of roast that makes you sit down instead of rushing out. That's no accident. That's someone who respects the craft because he was forged in institutions that demand nothing less than your best. "When a Marine finds his mission in a roastery, every bag he puts his name on carries the same standard -- do it right or don't do it at all." Meeting Luis was one of those moments I didn't expect to move me the way it did. We are both moving through the coffee world trying to build something that means something -- something rooted in identity, in service, in the belief that what's in the cup should tell a story worth hearing. And here was a fellow Marine who had walked a road I recognize: uncertain ground, earned footing, and a refusal to quit. And finally, if you are in South Florida and you have not made the pilgrimage to Calusa Coffee Roasters on Commercial Blvd, you are overdue. Go for the coffee -- stay for the story. And if you're lucky enough to meet the man himself, shake his hand. He earned it in more ways than one. To Luis Arteaga and everyone at Calusa: thank you for carrying a name that honors this land. Thank you for honoring the service that shaped you. And thank you for a cup of coffee that carries the weight of all of it without spilling a drop. Semper Fi, brother. Keep roasting.

I work nearby, so I just strolled in during my lunch break for a little midday pick-me-up. The staff is pleasant and helpful. My only suggestion is to perhaps have an allergens list for the individual baked goods. I tried to ask the staff about whether some of the treats contained nuts (in particular, the s'mores bar, and the chocolate chip cookie) as I have a peanut allergy (tree nuts are okay). There was a bit of a language barrier and the staff seemed unsure, and tried to err on the side of caution (which I appreciate). However, knowing that a s'mores bar or a chocolate chip cookie is unlikely to contain actual peanuts, I was a little frustrated because it would have been okay for me personally if it was simply that the baked goods were "processed in a factory that manufactures peanut products". Those trace amounts normally don't affect me. I feel like this was likely the case, but again, I'm glad that they just proceeded with an abundance of caution. I settled for a cheese danish even though I was really after a chocolate craving. Good on the staff for being cautious, disappointing for me that I couldn't cater to my chocolate craving. Oh well. I also ordered a Get Green smoothie, which was refreshing and delicious. The coconut water makes it super hydrating. Whether you're staying at the Del Mar hotel or just work nearby and want a little treat, this spot is a great place to stop in.
