French toast latte
Nick M.

This is a great spot to work from home because they have tons of tables. I ordered a french toast latte and banana bread. They were both delicious. Aside from pastries, they have a large food menu which I will try next time. Bonus points for the homemade syrups. They also have many parking spots which can be hard at some coffee shops.

Was looking for good food and coffee, and found a new favorite place! Amazing staff, service, coffee, and yum yummy food! Esthetic was on point too.. quite the vibe where I could find myself frequenting often if I lived there

Spuds Coffee is a really nice spot to come and get a nice, chill brunch or catchup with someone. I came here with my grandmother. Upon first glance, the place felt a bit more industrial and not like a coffee shop. We got the shakshuka and eggs Benedict. They said the shakshuka was spicy but it was not (which I appreciated)/ it was well spiced. That dish was excellent and my grandma and I both enjoyed it. I got the eggs Benedict which I also really liked. Tried the blueberry pastry they had but it didn't blow me away. The server we had was also super friendly and engaging which made our experience better

The food was absolutely delicious! I'm definitely planning on going back, but the service is just below the mark for me. The menu has something for everyone and I can see this being a cute spot to hang out with friends for a catch up session. It's also along the way to Oakland Park beach so a great grab and go option as well.

Brioche French Toast with berries and oranges and chicken salad sandwich on ciabatta

A lovely breakfast for a fam with a newborn! We have been looking for quiet (but not too quiet) cafes with relaxed vibes and space for a stroller. Handicap entrance is in the back. Paid parking right outside. Local art for sale. Food and drink were pretty good, somewhat small and basic for the price. Love that the syrups are made in house. The medium iced coffee was veryyy tiny. Go for the large. The lavender syrup was good but overpowering for such a small glass. Might just ask them to tone it down next time. The chai had a nice kick to it! Clearly homemade. The French toast had an amazing bruleed char on it but wish it was thicker cut. I realllly disliked the chicken salad sandwich. The bread was good, but it was too plain with just cheese, and I don't like that it was made with all dark meat. Too many sketchy pieces. Very small for the price with no sides. Anyway, overall a pleasant morning and happy to find a space we can bring the little!

Did not love the service here, the waitress didn't communicate much after asking several questions that she said she'd ask and get back to us (she never got back to us about it). I also ordered chia pudding and granola and it took over 45 mins when the place was not packed. The dish was also way too sweet. I did love their chai latte though. Ambiance is fine, like a typical coffee shop.

Burrata Toast

Great place but let's start with the negative. I ordered the Breakfast hash which comes with your choice of meat and home fries. The dish came in lukewarm, borderline cold, which wasn't the best experience. The worst part for what the sauce contained garlic, it was not mentioned on the menu. Garlic is tasty but it's not a typical ingredient, depending on the social context, a customer may not want their breath to stink garlic, also not the best ingredient for breakfast and finally some people are intolerant to it. I am unfortunately in that group, it gives me very bad stomach ache and wreaks my stomach for days. There is a lot of garlic on this menu, make sure to mention it on all the dishes that include it. Other than this the food was quite tasty, my partner took the burrata toast and was happy with it. Too bad portions are small, we came out hungry. Drink-wise, I want to try their special drink (with lavender) but they were out. I went with a cappuccino which was good and my partner took the colada which was nice but on the sweet side. Service was friendly and quick. There is plenty of seating space and the place was busy on a Saturday morning around 11am.

Had the best birthday dinner at this cute spot last Saturday night. Everything was spot on! From the ambiance and perfect decorations to the fantastic and delicious food. Needless to say the service was out of this world! Cannot wait to go back!!!

Love Spuds Coffee for early brunches. The variety on the menu is impressive, ranging from sandwiches and toasts to eggs Benedict and shakshuka. My favorite item is the BKT sandwich with egg, though I also enjoy the avocado toast and Saint's sandwich. Their pretzel, stuffed with garlic cream cheese, mozzarella, and spinach, is easily the best I've ever had. The coffee is also delicious. While the prices might seem reasonable at first glance, the portions are quite small--you'll likely need two dishes to feel satisfied. Additionally, charging $4 for a single egg feels like a rip-off. I love the flavors and the vibe of the place, but considering the portion sizes, it's definitely on the pricier side.

A Modern Pause at Spud's Coffee At Spud's Coffee in Fort Lauderdale, the room itself feels like a blank canvas -- a tall, sunlit space punctuated only by a few pieces of curious art. The design is restrained, almost severe, but the food offers more warmth. The iced chai, softened with milk and lifted by a dusting of cinnamon, was precise and comforting -- so much so that a second round was inevitable. A green juice -- a lively composition of kale, grape, apple, pineapple, ginger, honey, spinach, and celery -- struck the right balance of sharpness and sweetness. The kitchen's reach is generally assured, though not without flaws. A breakfast plate of eggs and chicken sausage faltered on the latter: the sausage arrived overcooked and dry, resistant even to the knife. By contrast, another plate, with scrambled eggs layered onto a perfectly toasted bagel, found its harmony in a swipe of jam alongside the eggs. The lyonnaise salad was perhaps the most compelling: the pork belly, suculento, tied together crisp lettuce and tender egg with richness and restraint. Not everything arrived at its peak -- the avocado on the side was under-ripe, a misstep that broke the rhythm. Service is a strong point here: the staff showed real patience and flexibility, graciously accommodating substitutions, children at the table, and even our own slow pace in ordering. A thoughtful touch: a board game area that draws in both children and adults, turning the café into a place to linger. Spud's is modern and chic without being self-conscious, a café where the food is approachable yet thoughtful. It may not fill every wall, but it does fill the appetite. #FortLauderdaleDining #ModernBrunch #CafeCulture

I can't believe I haven't discovered this place sooner! Tucked away in a little strip mall this place is absolutely charming and the food is out of this world. Staff was very RT friendly and Service was excellent. This is going to be part of the regular rotation!

I won a gift card so it was time to finally redeem it! I've been twice to use up the gift card and here are my thoughts. This coffee shop is the last one in a little shopping center. I fully expected this to be a normal coffee shop. It looks like a restaurant that happens to sell coffee. There aren't too many plugs if you were hoping to do work. Actually I think there are only two plugs! They have a cute couch situation in the front. Lots of tables for dining and a "bar area" near the barista. I tried the sparkling coffee that tasted more like a lemon La Croix than coffee. Light and refreshing. The second time I went I decided to try the chai and a pastry. I asked if they could warm it up and they dried it out. It was a little burnt too. All of me wanted to say something but I was already across the bridge. The people are great! The regulars are sweet. It's a little pricey but overall not bad.

This place is fantastic! They take their coffee very seriously which makes them shine out. Aside from the coffee, their food is also delicious. Eggs Benedict are amazing. The decor is alright, nothing fancy. Where they lack in decor, they make up in service. All our servers were great.

As titanium Marriott bonvoy members, we received a breakfast voucher each morning of our stay, which is good for your choice of coffee or orange juice and an entree from a select menu (see pics). I found the select menu to have many great options. I had the "smothered burrito" which was huge and delicious and did not have any beans. The "traditional eggs Benedict" was typical and came with a large portion of their potatoes- yum. The "huevos rancheros" was great too but I wished it had those potatoes. My husband had the "applewood bacon and poached egg avocado toast" twice because it was so good. We ordered two additional eggs sunny to go with it, as that dish only had one poached egg. He also got the "two eggs your way" which comes with choice of protein, potatoes and two slices of sourdough toast w butter (no jam). He ordered bacon egg and cheese taco with that dish to maximize his protein intake. That was tasty. Everything we ate here was a good portion. I saw the regular menu. Dishes are about $16. The pancakes looked awesome- maybe we will get that next time. Pancakes would pair well with the hash- it looks like a huge dish. They have a breakfast cocktail menu. I had the bloody Maria (nothing special but it said house made bloody mix so I wanted to try it), which came with a celery stick. I think next time I'll do the coffee inspired cocktails. Those sound amazing. We ate inside because the wind was crazy like 25mph. We ate outside one day, when the wind wasn't as bad, and found that there are some pesky birds trying to steal food off of server trays. So if you don't want the birds, sit inside. The place gets busy; you can make a reservation. We never had to wait in line long or wait for a table, but I think that's because we're hotel guests. Once sat, we did wait more than 20 min to receive our food. But it's ok. The coffee is good. The restaurant turns into Lona for lunch and dinner. They give you the Lona drink menu for breakfast too if you're more in the mood for a margarita. Bar seating is first come first served. Bathrooms are inside the hotel lobby. There is no parking for the restaurant but you can valet.

My order consisted of the Machaca Skillet and a side of Papas Racheras (potatoes). The positives were, a) the portion size (massive amount of food) and b) the great flavor of the Machaca (shredded beef with onions, bell pepper & tomato. Now the negatives, a) the 3 poached eggs were all over-cooked/hard yolks, b) the side of potatoes were cold and had an unappealing texture. I'm not positive but I have a feeling they were left over from the day before because I arrived at 7am which is when this restaurant opens so if they made the potatoes fresh they couldn't have been this bad and c) after the waiter took my order and never saw him again until I was ready for the bill. He never checked in on me which is a shame because I had pierced all 3 eggs to show him the hard yolks and ate very slowly so the proof would be on the plate when he checked on me but alas, he never showed. If I lived in the area I may give them another try because of the potential with this dish.

Of course it started to rain right when we got there so the vibe just felt soggy and wet. They do have the tent you sit under and then plastic roll down that acted as walls so the wind will not bring the water in but to me it just looked a little and felt ghetto in my opinion. I wasn't expecting the ambiance to be this way but maybe when it's nice out it's better? I will tell you they have about 20 industrial fans (I think that's what the eyesores were) on the ground to keep air circulation and a mini Fly fan that sits on your table and at every table because like I said it's completely outside. (The kitchen and bathroom are inside.) Our server came attentive and knew to sell us right away on the cheese balls which were really good but comparable to Texas de Brazil. They have no paper menus you have to scan a QR code on your phone to look at the menu Covid style. Overall I was not impressed with the food I don't know if it because what I ordered or what but the scrambled eggs tasted like they were instant from McDonald's and so little chopped up no flavor I do not recommend the eggs at all, and the sausage was definitely grocery store bought jimmy dean! The bacon was good very very thin and crispy which is my preference and The pancakes were actually good and thin how I like but a lot of people like flap jacks style but I liked them. The waffles were dry with no flavor no butter was brought to the table for either. I didn't understand why they cut up the waffle and put it in a basket cause I literally had to take them out one by one and put them on my plate to eat it was kinda strange. The little strawberry and banana was fresh. The Mocha latte was HORRIBLE it was like drinking a tall glass of chocolate milk there was no coffee in there at all! Most expensive glass of milk I've ever bought in my life $9 My friend said the cappuccino was good but they added cinnamon on top which on the menu it doesn't say they do but they still did that anyway and he doesn't like cinnamon so that was terrible. Our bill came to $80 For two of the bulegreen combos, the 3 piece cheese bread, and two drinks (iced mocha and cappuccino) we each paid $50 which is expensive for breakfast and not a lot of food/not good quality food with no option to sit inside during weather events. I'll pass on this place but glad I got to see what the hype was about.

We were coming from Hallandale, we had an 8pm reservation got seated around 815 which wasn't too bad. We were sat in a dimmer quieter section away which I really appreciate since our 1 year old was sleeping giving us the perfect date-night setting. Unfortunately the last time we been to Shooters was Valentine's Day 2025. We weren't aware that the menu had been changed since our last time dining which was rather unfortunate since the two entrees (seared brown butter scallops & shrimp and grilled soy-ginger glazed salmon) we came for were changed on the menu. We ended up getting the soy glazed salmon and scallops & prawns which unfortunately we did not enjoy at all. Even the sides were different previously you could just get a side of Mac now you can only get a side of truffle Mac? The grilled soy ginger salmon was on a bed of veggies (bok choy, Napa cabbage, onions, peppers) the one that's currently on the menu was basically on two inedible pieces of bok choy and a bed of rice I couldn't even break and chew the bok choy. Our server Ava was very attentive and sweet even gave a beautiful little treat for a birthday dessert ( not a chocolate fan but her energy made the dessert amazing ). After we paid our check we asked Ava for a manager and did specify that it was regarding the food more and not her service. I didn't catch the name of the manager we spoke to but her response to us simply questioning the menu change was she's not the culinary director or something along those lines but she would still hear our feedback. She just had such an I don't care attitude about it in my opinion and had I not had a few drinks in my system, trying to enjoy my time out with my family and birthday I would've let her know her attitude regarding it just was unnecessary. We unfortunately agreed to find a new go-to restaurant to celebrate our special occasions since so much has changed. Thank you so much to Ava for making our visit worth it! Didn't get pictures of the salmon, scallops, drinks or oysters that we got but I did get the fish dip and the dessert. Edited to add pictures from one of our previous visits
