I had no idea that this place also served food, but I came in for a quick coffee drink. And at the counter, they had cute pastries in the clear casing. It was right across the Pilates class me and my girlfriends took on a beautiful Saturday mid afternoon. It was already busy inside at 12pm, but it was to my surprise, because the area outside seemed super calm. Careful of the two steps to get inside. There are plenty seating options, table tops, booth seats, and a couch lounge area. We were greeting immediately if we wanted to dine in but we were just grabbing a quick coffee to go. It was my first time there, and I'm such a geek, if I've never been to a place it is the first thing that I saw to the person taking my order just to spark up some conversation lol. I love everyone's responses. I get to see their personality even tho they're just working. I ended trying their Cinnamon Toast Iced Latte with Oatmilk. Amazing! This is a great spot to work from home because they have tons of tables. I ordered a french toast latte and banana bread. They were both delicious. Upon first glance, the place felt a bit more industrial and not like a coffee shop. We got the shakshuka and eggs Benedict. They said the shakshuka was spicy but it was not (which I appreciated)/ it was well spiced. That dish was excellent and my grandma and I both enjoyed it. I got the eggs Benedict which I also really liked. Tried the blueberry pastry they had but it didn't blow me away. A lovely breakfast for a fam with a newborn! We have been looking for quiet (but not too quiet) cafes with relaxed vibes and space for a stroller. Handicap entrance is in the back. Paid parking right outside. Local art for sale. Food and drink were pretty good, somewhat small and basic for the price. Love that the syrups are made in house. The medium iced coffee was veryyy tiny. Go for the large. The lavender syrup was good but overpowering for such a small glass. Might just ask them to tone it down next time. The chai had a nice kick to it! Clearly homemade. The French toast had an amazing bruleed char on it but wish it was thicker cut. I realllly disliked the chicken salad sandwich. Great place but let's start with the negative. I ordered the Breakfast hash which comes with your choice of meat and home fries. The dish came in lukewarm, borderline cold, which wasn't the best experience. The worst part for what the sauce contained garlic, it was not mentioned on the menu. Garlic is tasty but it's not a typical ingredient, depending on the social context, a customer may not want their breath to stink garlic, also not the best ingredient for breakfast and finally some people are intolerant to it. I am unfortunately in that group, it gives me very bad stomach ache and wreaks my stomach for days. There is a lot of garlic on this menu, make sure to mention it on all the dishes that include it. Other than this the food was quite tasty, my partner took the burrata toast and was happy with it. Too bad portions are small, we came out hungry. Drink-wise, I want to try their special drink (with lavender) but they were out. I went with a cappuccino which was good and my partner took the colada which was nice but on the sweet side. A breakfast plate of eggs and chicken sausage faltered on the latter: the sausage arrived overcooked and dry, resistant even to the knife. By contrast, another plate, with scrambled eggs layered onto a perfectly toasted bagel, found its harmony in a swipe of jam alongside the eggs. The lyonnaise salad was perhaps the most compelling: the pork belly, suculento, tied together crisp lettuce and tender egg with richness and restraint. Not everything arrived at its peak -- the avocado on the side was under-ripe, a misstep that broke the rhythm. Service is a strong point here: the staff showed real patience and flexibility, graciously accommodating substitutions, children at the table, and even our own slow pace in ordering. I won a gift card so it was time to finally redeem it! I've been twice to use up the gift card and here are my thoughts. This coffee shop is the last one in a little shopping center. I fully expected this to be a normal coffee shop. It looks like a restaurant that happens to sell coffee. There aren't too many plugs if you were hoping to do work. Actually I think there are only two plugs! They have a cute couch situation in the front. Lots of tables for dining and a "bar area" near the barista. I tried the sparkling coffee that tasted more like a lemon La Croix than coffee. Light and refreshing. The second time I went I decided to try the chai and a pastry. I asked if they could warm it up and they dried it out. It was a little burnt too. All of me wanted to say something but I was already across the bridge. The people are great! The regulars are sweet. Amazing coffee shop. Our group of 12 on vacation fell in love. I was even able to take advantage of their beautiful seating area and get some work done. We visited almost every day, sometime multiple times a day. The cold brew concoctions and shrubs were the star. The la colada was nectar of the gods. Every single person who tried had no idea what they were getting into and their eyes absolutely lit up. My regular quickly became an Americano with their homemade salted caramel syrup. Deep toasted brown sugar, buttery and just enough salt to bring out the flavors but not actually taste salty. The girls working the counter were so sweet, always helpful and always ready with a smile when our group walked in. The pastries were ok. Banana bread was dry, olive oil cake was dripping in oil and the scone wasn't crumbly enough so four stars. But wholly cow the coffee drinks are out of this world. read more

Visiting my brother who moved here from NorCal. We explored FLL on ebikes and he knew of this place. Very low key, yet purveyor to the craft of specialty coffee. Noticed other shops used the term "specialty coffee" yet did not have various types of coffee. This place was so on point. Brekky menu was amazing and ordered a flash brew in a Chemex since we both wanted an iced drink. Pour was PROAF. Excellent taste, very smooth. Hit the spot . Black-owned & Women-owned, the story behind this local gem is one of my favs. The spot truly feels like a place where you can come to hangout with great bites and drinks. Plus, the staff will make you feel like you're a part of the family! Located right next to one of the drawbridges, it's actually super close to the beach. I've heard some people like to dine here then walk over to the beach since it's fairly close. There's a pay to park lot right in the plaza it's located and is such a great spot to grab a daytime bite and drink. Of course, I'm a matcha girl so I had to get their matcha! I love how they have a variety of sizes here for their drinks (small, medium, and large). The matcha was amazing both times I came here- they changed matcha for each visit I came and it was so good both times. Probably one of my favorite places to grab a matcha in Broward! I also love that they have honey, lavender, and vanilla flavoring that I can add... which of course, I did. I also got to try some of their bites here. I've had the breakfast hash, which is really filling and flavorful, and I also had their biscotti which is made in house and also pretty good. They have a case full of pastries that will make it hard not to grab something. I also heard that they recently started doing a once a month dinner with wine pairing as an option. The menu looked amazing so I'm definitely going to have to attend one in the future. A lovely cozy coffee shop located in a shopping center. Perfect for co-work days, grabbing a quick bite or enjoying coffee and some pastries. The service was extremely friendly and the music was pretty awesome too which is always a huge plus. I tried the burrata toast and the chicken melt -- both were so tasty, the orange slices on the burrata toast were the perfect touch to add a nice citrusy flavor that blended in so well with the refreshing yet cheesy burrata. Ask for the chicken sando -- it melts in your mouth! So juicy so flavorful and had this crispy pickle in it that made it even better. Really chill vibe and excellent breakfast food / coffees. The Signature iced coffee drink was unlike anything I've had - kind of like a coffee spritz with limoncello syrup and single origin espresso. Maria our server suggested it and she was great. The scrambled eggs and Spud's cinnamon rolls were a huge hit with the kids and weren't too pricey. Wife's chai (pictured) was excellent as well. My 1st visit to this awesome little coffee shop was a great one. Immediately as I entered I was greeted with smiles from the 2 employees behind the counter followed by some wonderful attitudes. The young lady was great at explaining the different types of coffee & strengths of each to the person who l came with. She was helpful, wasn't bothered by the questions & gave some great recommendations. There were tons of coffee variations to choose from like cappuccino's, cold brew, pour over & more. Most of the options could come hot or iced. The cold brew I got was amazing. It had a bold body without any bitterness/acidity. It's clear they care about serving quality products, as all the coffees are freshly made to order. The breakfast platter was also delicious. The bacon it came with was thick cut with a wonderful maple flavor & topped with some pepper to give it a kick of heat. My eggs were cooked to perfection & don't get me started on the homemade strawberry jam that was served with the sourdough toast. As far as their baked goods go, everything is baked in-house so you can't go wrong with whatever you get. The blueberry/lemon scone was one of the best l've ever had. Great flavor & perfect texture. I stopped by here yesterday with my wife and twins for our morning coffees. Whenever our family is traveling, we always try to hit up local coffee shops and on this day we went to Spuds Coffee. This coffee shop is located in a set of shops near the intersection of E Oakland Park Blvd and A1A. The inside is bright with a place to order, a comfortable area with games and then loads of seating. At the counter they also have a display case full of all sorts of baked goods. For my coffee on this morning I decided to go with a large coffee with local honey syrup while my wife went with a cold brew and a chocolate babka. As we waited for our coffees, my twins played with one of the puzzles from the game area. After about a 5 minute wait we had both of our drinks and our pastry and headed on our way. My coffee here was good with an overwhelming flavor of honey which I enjoyed. However I wish that the coffee had been stronger and stood up to both the milk and the honey syrup. I also tried my wife's cold brew and liked that it was strong but found it to be a bit bitter on the finish. Then while I didn't get to try the chocolate babka, my wife let me know that she did enjoy it. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. I've been wanting to try this cute little spot for some time now, and I just regret that I didn't do it sooner. It took a wonderful Yelp Elite event to get me to come in, and it will keep me coming back for more. It's located in the North Beach area, a perfect spot to grab a bite before a beach day. Plenty of metered street parking to be had outside. The shop itself is cute and minimalistic with decor but done perfectly. I walked in, expected a case of pastries, and a few entree options but was pleasantly surprised with the amount of options they had to offer. I started with the recommended lemon loaf, fresh, tasty, and a good amount of lemon. I just had to try the eggs Benedict with pork belly. The pork belly elevated this Benedict to another level of delicious. I kept my coffee order simple and got an iced latte with lavender syrup. I wanted to be able to get a taste for the coffee and housemate syrup. It was delicious. I can't wait to go back and try more delicious food and one of their fancier coffee drinks. read more

Went here for the first time today. Loved the vibe. It's so clean and bright and welcoming. I ordered matcha soda which was so good! The juice in it balanced out the matcha perfectly. I will say the server seemed irritated but maybe she was just having a bad day. The drink was delicious and we loved the coffee shop. My friend got a matcha latte and loved it as well. First time in this establishment and must say it was not as I expected. the coffee shop is cute and gives a European vibe as they serve these cute dishes and cups all different from the rest. *Service was not too friendly but acceptable as they were selective about who they were friendlier with as I watched from my table. and it took pretty long to receive our food. *Food My daughter had the Eggs Benedict with smoked Pork- Belly she enjoyed it and the presentation was very nice. -I had the Breakfast plate it was basic except the Strawberry jam which was amazing and fresh. We also had a stuffed Pretzel with spinach, garlic, and mozzarella which I did not like as it was way too spicy on the outside and I cannot eat spicy but that was not mentioned. we also had the Lattes mine with a splash of caramel they were nicely presented and were very good. I ordered the salted caramel latte which the syrup is made in house. And I must say there is nothing like fresh ingredients. This drink was amazing. It didn't need any extra of anything. Came to Spud's on a Sunday afternoon. Parking was easy to get to and there were plenty of spots in the shopping plaza. It's located near federal in a pretty busy area. I ordered the Chicken salad sandwich, matcha latte and a lemon pound cake. The chicken salad was amazing, loved the seasoning and sauce they used on it. The bread was perfect where the edges were crunchy and inside of the bread was soft. Probably one of the best chicken salad sandwiches i've ever had. Latte was good although it took a while for it to come to the table. We were basically done with our food before it arrived. I would pass on the cake next time. Very dry, no flavor or taste at all really. We came later in the day and there weren't many pastries available at the time, understandable why this one was still there. Nice decor and setup, a few games at the front and a modern looking feel to the place.
