Thanks to Yelp Elite Andy V for sharing and reviewing this place. Can't believe they've been there for so long (50 years!) and we'd never been. This strip of places on the north side of the street was, however, familiar to us -- we'd been to the market here, to the "American restaurant" which is Spanish and awhile back to the hot dog place (now closed) with only 2 seats under an umbrella on the sidewalk! As Andy mentioned, the restaurant is connected to the pharmacy; But there's now a separate entrance. I can picture that it must have been a drugstore with a luncheonette counter in the old days before the dividers went up -- and before they expanded to the area next store and added more tables/booths. They were quite busy at lunch time, but we found a couple seats at the counter. Service was great. Think friendly and fast with lots of personality. They get a lot of regulars and seem to remember their names along with their favorite drinks and "usual" orders, too. But even if you aren't a regular, and it's your first time here like us, you'll still get good service. They have an extensive lunch menu with lots of your favorite diner offerings plus blackboard specials of the day. The kitchen was busy pumping out the orders -- no slackers there either. I ordered (off the menu) an open faced Turkey plate. It came with a choice of veg -- corn or green beans. The serving was huge. Lots of sliced white meat turkey and a mound of mashed potatoes covered in yellow (chicken) gravy. They even gave me cranberry sauce too. I did take some of it home --- for dinner, later. My husband ordered (from the board), the meatloaf special. He got green beans, mashed potatoes and a ton of savory brown gravy over two large pieces of meatloaf. He said it was very good. Their pies are made in house. After watching several servings go by to some guys at the end of the counter, we couldn't resist sharing a piece. I was fascinated by their cutting grid that they put over each piece to score it into eight wedges. After scoring, they sprinkle on (by hand) walnuts on each slice. We tried their banana cream. The topping tasted like cool whip, but the filling and bottom pie crust were very good. And added note is that prices here are very reasonable -- especially for the size of the portions. I'd definitely come back here. There are lots of other specials I'd like to try -- along with their coconut cream pie -- next time

Blue plate special kind of place that I just love. Garden Restaurant is a hidden gem that I almost don't want to write about because I don't want many more people finding out about it because it took me eons to realize where it was. It's a small diner attached to the Garden Drug pharmacy. It has the most lovely wait staff and cashier. It's typical diner fare. Every time I come here I feel like I'm back home. It just has that welcoming feel to it. I love their omelettes. I typically get their Denver or Farmers omelette which my hash browns well done. Prices are cheap and the portions are hearty. I never left this place feeling remotely hungry. They take cash or card as well. The place is super clean and there are dividers between the booths to help with social distancing. They are doing their part to keep us safe. Garden Restaurant is probably my favorite diner in the area. Definitely worth checking out for breakfast.

Garden Diner seems to be a hot spot for the retiree crowd. Maybe the reason is the servers are very friendly and warm which is a plus. Garden also has its specials and you are able to choose hash potatoes or grits. They also make their own biscuits which is so much better than your standard toast.

I have posted before for breakfast but not lunch. I love this place! The food is homemade the prices are great and the service is fantastic. This little get has daily lunch specials. The fish and chips (cod) for $11.99 is second to none. The fish is cooked perfectly and sweet and flakey with more than I can eat. The meatloaf special as well on Fridays is just delicious. Come try the daily lunch specials and for breakfast the biscuits and gravy is the best around.

Our favorites were the catch of the day shrimp, Cajun fries, Korean barbecue meatballs and Philly cheesesteak. The garlic parm fries were decent and we didn't care for the steak pieces. 10/10 would recommend overall.

So we went at 7pm on a Wednesday. What's playing on TV was not available, was told to use QR code, so easy peasy. So the counter staff was pleasantly, we ordered: rabbit hole salad and the patty melt to go. Maybe should be eaten there, right away. Didn't stand up to a quick ride home. BOTH meals looked sad and not worth $50, as was $20 each, gave $3 tip for to go. Probably won't return! It's probably great for vegans who don't require quality or taste, just gut it out to remain vegan. Salad had no flavor really, it was " overdressed", just kale dressed in an underwhelming sauce. Tons of it where it was soggy. Chips of fake chicken I guess, that was flavorless. Partners patty melt was just so so. I'm sad! You ever wanted to really like something, so you force it. We love going to local spots to support folks but we demand excellence. I wasn't expecting Coopers HAWK, but wanted some flavor. It's like not even as good as Whole Foods, which is pricey like this but good. Patty melt was average, and not worth $20. The onions saved it, but too expensive for us. Fries were limp, not well made. Now I will say, we do go to dives, so we didn't need Sonness (by the way Sonness is beyond fab!). So, we can do " dive vegan" but we cant do expensive average. It survives because often the beach crowds are too tipsy or high to care, or average is OK due to being snowbirds. Im sure these reviews aren't fake, so will chop this up to a bad night for the cooks! Stop by if you are vegan, committed to this lifestyle, then its good enough. We are in good shape medically, have more allegiance to our wallet than a movement. My partner makes great, fresh salads, so I can stay home for below average greens. But if you are committed and need to just get out, try it. I think a vegan frozen meal, Amy's is better. The salad wasn't horrible, just not worth the price. $20 for soggy, no flavor. Nope! I need flavor, price, freshness mix. Also they could do better with the ambiance. When you walk up, it seemed sad. It was empty, but zero personality. They need some music, it was quiet, somewhat moodless! Even dives have a little music. Rabbits have music LOL! Wish them luck! They have been around a while, so maybe they had better days! Why show stuff on TV that's not offered, pretty photos but disappointing for us. Good news, they are surrounded by great things, Italian to the right, Max to the left, pizza to the left. And Foundry at the end of other side! Partner ate half burger, trashed it. I ate 1/4 salad, trash. $50 in the garbage. I gotta laugh as we sat in our couch, we walked in and after 10 min, the energy felt off to me. We read the menu first. I said to my mate, "let's go elsewhere" after staff said, don't have this or that. My mate said, lets see. I went along. Intuition is never wrong! Trust yout gut, give it a try! Maybe tonight was just an off night! Go try it! Maybe it will be better for you! Im sure those reviews are real but maybe that real cook was off, amd we ended up with the no talent crew!

For dinner, he got the honey chicken Sammy with sidewinder fries, and I went with the chimmichurri steak frites with curly fries... SO good. Everything came out piping hot, quickly, and you can tell the food and drinks are really thoughtfully crafted. What stood out most, though, was the customer service. The three main staff members Drew, Mel, and Darian (I think?) were incredible. Every single one of them went above and beyond for every guest the entire time. When we arrived, there were just a couple tables outside, but once it started raining, they seamlessly accommodated everyone inside without missing a beat. The vibe is such a cool mix, neighborhood spot meets speakeasy meets tiki with a slightly elevated feel, but still super comfortable. Everyone in the place seemed to know each other or quickly became friends. The music was great, and by 7:30 the live entertainment started, he was funny, engaging, and talented. We got there just in time to catch the tail end of happy hour for our first drink, and from there it just kept getting better. Drew, the bartender, even went out of his way to make me a specialty drink I had seen on Yelp that's no longer on the menu, such a thoughtful touch. By 7:30 on a Wednesday, the place was packed, which says everything. Exceptional service, amazing food, great drinks, and an all around fun, welcoming atmosphere. We'll absolutely be back.

The bar and restaurant itself has a welcoming vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. I ordered the tuna appetizer, but unfortunately it just wasn't for me. To their credit, the staff handled it very professionally and took it back without any issue, which I appreciated. The rest of the table had a much better experience with their meals. The steak and salads especially got good reviews from everyone and looked very well prepared. Even though my dish missed the mark, the service and atmosphere were solid enough that I'd still consider giving eTwic another try in the future. Sometimes one item just doesn't hit, and there were definitely enough positives about the restaurant to make me curious to come back and try something different next time. I know that one friend at the table really enjoys this place so I must believe that she has good taste!

We were coming from Hallandale, we had an 8pm reservation got seated around 815 which wasn't too bad. We were sat in a dimmer quieter section away which I really appreciate since our 1 year old was sleeping giving us the perfect date-night setting. Unfortunately the last time we been to Shooters was Valentine's Day 2025. We weren't aware that the menu had been changed since our last time dining which was rather unfortunate since the two entrees (seared brown butter scallops & shrimp and grilled soy-ginger glazed salmon) we came for were changed on the menu. We ended up getting the soy glazed salmon and scallops & prawns which unfortunately we did not enjoy at all. Even the sides were different previously you could just get a side of Mac now you can only get a side of truffle Mac? The grilled soy ginger salmon was on a bed of veggies (bok choy, Napa cabbage, onions, peppers) the one that's currently on the menu was basically on two inedible pieces of bok choy and a bed of rice I couldn't even break and chew the bok choy. Our server Ava was very attentive and sweet even gave a beautiful little treat for a birthday dessert ( not a chocolate fan but her energy made the dessert amazing ). After we paid our check we asked Ava for a manager and did specify that it was regarding the food more and not her service. I didn't catch the name of the manager we spoke to but her response to us simply questioning the menu change was she's not the culinary director or something along those lines but she would still hear our feedback. She just had such an I don't care attitude about it in my opinion and had I not had a few drinks in my system, trying to enjoy my time out with my family and birthday I would've let her know her attitude regarding it just was unnecessary. We unfortunately agreed to find a new go-to restaurant to celebrate our special occasions since so much has changed. Thank you so much to Ava for making our visit worth it! Didn't get pictures of the salmon, scallops, drinks or oysters that we got but I did get the fish dip and the dessert. Edited to add pictures from one of our previous visits
