Great little local spot. It's been here for years but this was our first time. My husband and I went on Mother's Day so it was busy but we were seated when a table opened up. Service was quick and friendly. The food was excellent and came out piping hot. Simple but great breakfast. It's a no frills kind of place but I really enjoyed it because of the very kind staff, delicious food, and reasonable prices. This is a hidden gem in the Tamarac area!

I've lived in the area for a long time and never went to this breakfast place, from the minute I walked in. I was treated like royalty. I have not had a decent breakfast for less than $15 outside of my own home. This was six dollars and it was amazing. I highly recommend.

Cozy little diner across the street from a medical plaza. Nice place to relax and grab some breakfast. The service was attentive and friendly. It seems to be women-owned and run, which is a plus, of course. My scrambled eggs and corned beef hash were pretty average, though they cooked a nice crust into to the hash. The butter on my toast tasted unsalted, so I didn't finish the rest. My favorite dish I had was the short stack of pancakes. Two giant, fluffy pancakes, perfectly sweet and savory. I was told that the daughter of the family makes them the best, so I'm glad she cooked for me. 10/10 pancakes, next time will try the blueberry. Good coffee, too.

Good service. Local old school feel vibes. They kinda heavy handed with the butter margarine but next time we will ask for it on the side. Comfort food dining.

This was the worst breakfast/brunch experience I've had in a long time. The staff were wonderful , attentive and explained the menu and specials clearly, my friend and I did not enjoy my food at all. The French toast had scrambled eggs all around the toast and the eggs tasted like it wasn't made to order. The pastrami it self was good, just not as a sandwich. For me, nothing tasted like home made.

The restaurant had a fair amount of diners; but we only had to wait 2-3 minutes before being seated. Our server approached us quickly and we actually had to suggest they come back so we'd have time to look over the menu. I decided on the Hunter & Gatherer bowl which consisted of some greens, chickpeas, farro and grilled chicken with a honey mustard vinaigrette. It was a huge portion and quite good. My mom had the omelette which was cooked to perfection and came with 2 slices of multigrain toast. Everything was yummy and the service was fast. Next time I won't wait so long before returning!

The interior is all hard surfaces...so it's loud. I'd recommend brining a bullhorn or a portable mic and speaker with you. Our waitress could not hear us. Try tablecloths or some tapestries on the walls, Maple and Cream management...anything to absorb some sound. Not that our waitress was around that much to hear us scream our order at the top of our lungs. This was an insult, as a 20 percent gratuity was automatically added to our check. The waitress did not deserve a 20 percent tip. She did not even serve 5 percent. And the parking is non existent. I had to park in a garage and walk down a roadway with no sidewalks to get to the place after dropping my wife and daughter off. I don't understand how people have given this place an average of four stars. Don't waste your money.

I'm always on the hunt for places that exceed the hype, and Tasty G Spot absolutely delivered…read more Let's start with the fried snapper and Gouda cheese grits. The snapper was fried to perfection--golden, crispy, and light without a trace of grease. The fish stayed flaky and moist, while the rich Creole sauce tied everything together with just the right balance of buttery richness, spice, and depth. Then came the grits... silky smooth with a creamy Gouda finish that added just enough sharpness to make every bite unforgettable. This is comfort food elevated. The ribeye was another standout. Ordered medium, it arrived exactly as requested with a beautiful sear, a warm pink center, and incredible tenderness. That's the mark of a kitchen that respects the product. Paired with the potato hash, it became one of those plates you don't want to end. The potatoes were crispy on the outside, tender inside, perfectly seasoned, and packed with flavor. Beyond the food, the experience was just as impressive. The cocktails were balanced, refreshing, and crafted with care--not just pretty to look at but genuinely delicious. The décor creates a vibrant, upscale brunch atmosphere that's stylish without feeling overdone, making it a place you'll want to linger. A special shoutout to Toya, whose service elevated the entire visit. She was attentive, knowledgeable, friendly, and never missed a beat. Great hospitality can make a good meal memorable, and she did exactly that. It's easy to see why this spot has developed such a loyal following. If you're looking for bold flavors, quality execution, handcrafted drinks, and service that makes you feel welcome, Tasty G Spot deserves a spot on your brunch and dinner rotation. This one earns a solid 10/10 from me. I'll definitely be back.

As odd as it is to go during the day and have brunch, I would say it is the move. You pull into a plaza where everything else is closed except for this business and say hi to the security guard stationed at the entrance of the place---at 11 AM---to walk into a lounge beautifully decorated with green walls, floral accents and a disco ball. It is clear that the majority of patrons come much later in the day, like after 9 PM, to get bottle service listening to a DJ or any other performer. This would explain why the air conditioning was cranked so high, to accommodate the bodies and electricity that would pack the place much later. Our server didn't crack a smile but immediately brought us water after we asked and rounded back twice to take our order. Like I said, going during the day when there are only about 5 other parties dining seems to be the move for prompt service and food preparation. The dishes came out super hot and fresh. The Creole Seafood Omelette ($26) was chock full of well seasoned shrimp and lobster and cheese, with a creamy roux on the side that was good to occasionally dip a bite into but wasn't necessary all the time. The potatoes that came on the side were just the right amount of crispy while leaving some heartiness to them. The Fried Chicken and Waffles ($26) included flavorful fried chicken with breading that didn't quit when you tore it or cut into it. The cool part of this dish is the choice you have of the waffle it comes with. The Cookies and Cream Waffles should be your go-to. They were topped with the chocolate cookie sandwich crumbles and a great homemade vanilla icing. For a Lauderhill establishment in an area where you really don't know of anything else happening, this place is worth a venture out for your brunch. I'd go back to try the other items and drinks!

The reason is simple: this location consistently delivers exceptional customer service, every single visit. As a manager myself, I couldn't help but notice how genuinely engaged the staff seemed, so I asked to speak with the manager. I had to find out the secret. His name was Willie, and he shared that he makes it a point to motivate his team during their pre-shift meetings. My husband, who is also a small business owner, pointed out that it likely starts even earlier, at the hiring stage. Whatever the formula is, it is absolutely working. In the world we live in today, it is truly refreshing to encounter people who clearly love what they do. Willie and his team are a shining example of what great leadership looks like from the inside out. Well done, First Watch Lauderhill.
