Honestly, with how affordable everything was, I was surprised. The prices were much lower than I expected. For breakfast, I ordered the meal that came with eggs, a choice of sausage or bacon, grits or potatoes, and toast. I went with scrambled eggs, a sausage patty, grits, and rye toast. I also added a stack of blueberry pancakes. My friend ordered a cheeseburger with fries and slaw. The service was faster than expected. We were told the takeout order would take around 30 minutes, but it was ready in about 15. The eggs and sausage were tasty, and the grits were good once I added a little extra seasoning. They needed a bit more salt, pepper, and butter for my taste, but after that they were delicious. The standout for me was definitely the blueberry pancakes. Great little local spot. It's been here for years but this was our first time. My husband and I went on Mother's Day so it was busy but we were seated when a table opened up. Cute place and tasty food. We loved watching the "regulars" enter and the staff call out to them. So lovely when the entire restaurant sang Happy Birthday to one of the regulars in a red, white and blue sequened vest. It reminded me of a small-town restaurant you would find back home in Ohio. Cozy little diner across the street from a medical plaza. Nice place to relax and grab some breakfast. The service was attentive and friendly. It seems to be women-owned and run, which is a plus, of course. My scrambled eggs and corned beef hash were pretty average, though they cooked a nice crust into to the hash. The butter on my toast tasted unsalted, so I didn't finish the rest. My favorite dish I had was the short stack of pancakes. Two giant, fluffy pancakes, perfectly sweet and savory. I was told that the daughter of the family makes them the best, so I'm glad she cooked for me. 10/10 pancakes, next time will try the blueberry. Good coffee, too. read more

Please understand the design and appeal to an old school, neighborhood diner and you will come away happy. It's not going to offer a new motive nor modern flair. The side of fresh chunky home fries were made as she requested, well done. Employees were polite and accommodating. Saw several people that appears locals. All were happy and polite and flowed well. We usually frequent this place but for some reason service has gone down the tube. The food is typical mediocre breakfast food. We used to love coming here because the staff made you feel at home. That has changed now the service is biased. If you're not one of their locals or someone they know you will not get service. We ordered a plain waffle, large stack of pancakes, half order biscuit and sausage gravy, , extra order of bacon, 2 eggs , bacon, home fries, toast combo and 2 sodas. Food came out very quickly and was delicious. Had to order an extra full order of the biscuits and gravy! Bacon was very tasty. Didn't love the home fries even though they were definitely homemade. They don't take credit cards SO BRING CASH! Paid $36 but as you can see we received a lot of food, so I would say it was a GREAT VALUE!
