I've lived in the area for a long time and never went to this breakfast place, from the minute I walked in. I was treated like royalty. I have not had a decent breakfast for less than $15 outside of my own home. This was six dollars and it was amazing. I highly recommend. read more

Cozy little diner across the street from a medical plaza. Nice place to relax and grab some breakfast. The service was attentive and friendly. It seems to be women-owned and run, which is a plus, of course. My scrambled eggs and corned beef hash were pretty average, though they cooked a nice crust into to the hash. The butter on my toast tasted unsalted, so I didn't finish the rest. My favorite dish I had was the short stack of pancakes. Two giant, fluffy pancakes, perfectly sweet and savory. I was told that the daughter of the family makes them the best, so I'm glad she cooked for me. 10/10 pancakes, next time will try the blueberry. Good coffee, too. read more

This was the worst breakfast/brunch experience I've had in a long time. The staff were wonderful , attentive and explained the menu and specials clearly, my friend and I did not enjoy my food at all. The French toast had scrambled eggs all around the toast and the eggs tasted like it wasn't made to order. The pastrami it self was good, just not as a sandwich. Please understand the design and appeal to an old school, neighborhood diner and you will come away happy. It's not going to offer a new motive nor modern flair. It is going to offer fresh made food, often just off the griddle, and true flavor. Don't expect multi step seasonings and brining or ultra ingredients. Location has been in place 20 years or more, and still demands cash only at the register after finishing your meal. Wifey wanted breakfast while in area and the thought of Denny's didn't appeal to me. I fully intended to get breakfast until I noted the Patty Melt sign. An old school favorite. It was served off the grill, hot, and made to order. Perhaps a marbled rye would have stepped it up a level, but still old fashioned goodness. Wife noted some thing called Country Bene and knew right away this was her calling. Eggs with sausage gravy appealed quickly. The side of fresh chunky home fries were made as she requested, well done. Employees were polite and accommodating. Saw several people that appears locals. All were happy and polite and flowed well. Price was fair indeed and would remind they only handle breakfast and lunch. A blast from the past, and simple times without foo foo garnish. I think I might have even smelled a light burning of the bread crust from toaster, just like a family breakfast at home. read more

It's a tiny place and they only take cash, but it's a really good place for breakfast. If you go on the weekends, plan on getting there early or be prepared to wait. Even so, I would rather eat here than most other breakfast restaurants in the area. The food is good, the service is good and the atmosphere is very casual and relaxed. You never feel rushed when you're here. Don't forget to bring money. Very important. read more

Service is good and breakfast is ok, but don't order an ice coffee , especially if you want cream and sugar. They give you cold coffee and ice , and there is no way to sweeten cold coffee no matter how many packs of sugar you add. Wasted $2.50. read more

Not uptight, fancy or commercial. The Orange Tree has delicious food and a fun atmosphere for breakfast or lunch. The service is like going back in time to when good service was a standard. The food is like home cooking!! The staff remembers your name and are always happy to see you. The best way to explain is to say that the whole place just feels like a big hug when you walk in. My favorite is breakfast with the grilled biscuits with my bacon and eggs and home fries. All made fresh on the grill. It always smells amazing. Lots of locals that are long time customers and patrons of this business. Everyone is friendly and you'll feel like a regular from your first visit!! If you're looking for a regular breakfast or lunch spot this place will steal your heart and please your belly!! They get busy so you might have a small wait. It's SOOOO worth it!! read more

Orange Tree is one of my favorite breakfast places in Florida. It's been my favorite for 25 years plus. It's nothing spectacular just great simple breakfast and I love it. The eggs always taste great. The home fries are always cooked amazing and to my liking. My favorite item is Taylor Ham and I always get a side of sausage gravy to top everything off. We usually frequent this place but for some reason service has gone down the tube. The food is typical mediocre breakfast food. We used to love coming here because the staff made you feel at home. That has changed now the service is biased. If you're not one of their locals or someone they know you will not get service. Today we were ignored we sat for 15 mins no service and when we asked for service we were ignored. The lady that was supposed to service us often wears a workout outfit avoid her at all cost she is rude and biased. We probably won't ever be coming back here ever again especially with Dennys, IHOP, and First Watch within a 2 mile radius. read more

Great neighborhood cafe for breakfast! Family owned place for everyone. The local residents, police, sheriff;s office and fire department all frequent this establishment practically on a daily basis. Driving in the neighborhood looking for a quick breakfast and we stumbled on this place. It's situated in a strip mall, in the corner space. Good size menu, with lots of breakfast and lunch options. We ordered a plain waffle, large stack of pancakes, half order biscuit and sausage gravy, , extra order of bacon, 2 eggs , bacon, home fries, toast combo and 2 sodas. Food came out very quickly and was delicious. Had to order an extra full order of the biscuits and gravy! Bacon was very tasty. Didn't love the home fries even though they were definitely homemade. They don't take credit cards SO BRING CASH! Paid $36 but as you can see we received a lot of food, so I would say it was a GREAT VALUE! We will definitely be back as this is closer, just as good and much less expensive than our usual favorite place. read more

Driven by this place for over 15 years and never stopped in. It's in an old strip mall that's seen better days. Don't let this dissuade you. Bring cash; they don't take the plastic. The grill is front and center when you walk in. This place is the real deal. Breakfast sandwich with TAYLOR ham on a bagel. Cook actually listened and made my eggs the way I like them. Decent home fries with a nice crispy crust. Very pleased that they did not add paprika seasoning which most bagel joints seem to use. Waitress was very kind about the repeated cups of coffee. Great local breakfast place. My wife and I tried it because we live very close to it. I ordered the western omellete with a side of potatoes, she ordered the eggs with bacon and french toast. It was great. Food was good. Coffee was good. Prices were good. Service was good. My coffee cup was filled with a waitress making the rounds and filling everyone's cups. I love it. Busy on a Saturday morning, but no wait. The griddle was out in the open, so much like a diner, you get to see everything cooked. It was a great breakfast joint. I can't wait to go back. Great smallish diner. Open for breakfast and lunch only. Breakfast size is good size, especially for the cost of breakfast. 2eggs, potatoes or grits, toast, and chive of bacon or Sausage (link,Pattie, or Turkey) was only $5.75. Coffee was $2.25, and was a non-acidly blend made strong enough to give a good level of energy and flavor. Staff was friendly and got every detail of our order correctly, I HIGHLY recommend this very good, unassuming place with a great "homey" atmosphere! read more

I'm also a basic coffee girlie so I got the Salted Caramel iced latte with oat milk and I held the cold foam (because that has dairy). And it was a wonderful mid-day pick up. They also have cinnamon powder to add on top on the side if you forget to order it. There are plenty of seating options inside and outside. It is in a busy plaza but that's Coral Springs. I would like to come back and try some food items.

Like I said, going during the day when there are only about 5 other parties dining seems to be the move for prompt service and food preparation. The dishes came out super hot and fresh. The Creole Seafood Omelette ($26) was chock full of well seasoned shrimp and lobster and cheese, with a creamy roux on the side that was good to occasionally dip a bite into but wasn't necessary all the time. The potatoes that came on the side were just the right amount of crispy while leaving some heartiness to them. The Fried Chicken and Waffles ($26) included flavorful fried chicken with breading that didn't quit when you tore it or cut into it. The cool part of this dish is the choice you have of the waffle it comes with. The Cookies and Cream Waffles should be your go-to. They were topped with the chocolate cookie sandwich crumbles and a great homemade vanilla icing. For a Lauderhill establishment in an area where you really don't know of anything else happening, this place is worth a venture out for your brunch. I'd go back to try the other items and drinks!

My chocolate chip muffin was warm and chocolatey. There was a nice crowd of customers on a Sunday. It is really nice to see a local business like this. I didn't even know it existed. I do wish there were prices available to see of the drinks and menu items. Overall, I am definitely interested in returning very soon or even weekly. The silverware was also very clean, as was our table surface, which is very much appreciated and the sign of an establishment that actually cares. There were people of all ages but also a lot of older people having meals, which I enjoyed seeing. Looks like a lot of regulars come there. All in all, a very good experience.
