No-frills breakfast spot with good food and excellent service. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a friendly man who gave me owner vibes. We were told it would be about a 10 minute wait. As we went to sit outside to wait, he said to let him know if we wanted any water or coffee while we waited. We were seated not much later and our server was equally as friendly. They have a lot of selections on the menu and I think the prices are very reasonable. My husband and I both ordered omelettes with home fries. My omelette was very tasty and came out piping hot. The home fries were good but they were on the cold side, so not ideal but not a big deal. Coffee refills were frequent, and they also provided ketchup and hot sauce without us asking. The silverware was also very clean, as was our table surface, which is very much appreciated and the sign of an establishment that actually cares. There were people of all ages but also a lot of older people having meals, which I enjoyed seeing. Looks like a lot of regulars come there. All in all, a very good experience. Tried this diner style restaurant today for breakfast and we were beyond satisfied! We were greeted warmly the minute that we walked in and promptly escorted to a table. Our waitress was super attentive and friendly. You can tell immediately that people frequent this spot as the servers had quite the rapport with the majority of the patrons. It felt like you were going to a family's house for breakfast. My husband and I ordered Biscuits w/gravy, hash browns, corned beef hash, home fries, eggs, and blueberry pancakes. Everything was superb and not one crumb was left on our plates! The coffee is fresh and plentiful too. Price points were reasonable with it being about $13 per entree. I stopped at the Toasted Cafe for breakfast this morning and considering previous reviews, I expected something pretty good. I am sorry to say that I was disappointed. I was greeted by a lady who escorted me to a table and left me with a menu. After a few minutes went by, a waitress came over and asked what I wanted to drink. I told her coffee with creamer and after a few minutes went by, she brought it over. She asked if I was ready to order and I told her that I needed a few more minutes. I noticed that if you want eggs, you have only two choices (fried or scrambled eggs). I also noticed that if you want cheese with your eggs or omelette, there is an additional charge. I had notified in a previous review that the bagels were delicious and there was also an additional charge for that as well. I ordered scrambled eggs with bacon, well done home fries and a toasted everything bagel (they only had an everything or a plain bagel). After I ordered, my coffee cup remained empty for 7 minutes 58 seconds with my waitress passing by me 3 times and not observing the empty cup. When she brought me my food, she finally asked if I needed coffee. The food cooked by the cook was fine, but the bagel was not fresh, but you could tell it was originally frozen. It was so lightly toasted that it was very doughy tasting. Although the waitress asked if I needed ketchup when she brought the food, she NEVER came back to the table again. I had finished my second cup of coffee when the owner/manager came walking by and immediately asked if she could get me more coffee. What a difference. This is only a breakfast and lunch restaurant. On its advertising, it says that it is a Greek restaurant. Greek restaurants are known for their hospitality and food quality. Although the food that was cooked was fine, the bagel, the ambiance and the service lacked a great deal. Unfortunately, I find it very difficult to recommend this establishment. read more

We got a couple breakfast plates, the gravy was SOO good!! And I got the chicken taco salad special. It has the best grilled chicken, juicy, flavorful, fresh ingredients, everything you'd want in a taco salad. I highly recommend for breakfast or lunch! read more

WOW! I'm a local and I can't believe I have never been to this cafe. I have past it several time, and I remember it being one of margates top picks and I finally got to try it this morning. It's a plaza on Atlantic blvd. As my guest and I walked in we were greeted and seated immediately. The cafe was clean and had cute little touches to it. Our waitress was amazing, she was so attentive on refilling coffee, and getting us whatever we needed. We both started off with hot coffees which were good! I ordered the French toast platter in addition to side of grits, and my guest ordered the Supreme omelet with a side of grits and rye toast. The food was FRESH, and DELICIOUS! The rye bread was superb. They are open 7am-2pm 7 days of week; Great prices, and atmosphere. I will definitely be back, I had an amazing experience. When you hear someone utter the words "hidden gem", they are talking about Toasted Cafe! I found this place on Uber eats about 5 years ago and never looked back. While I have never dinned-in, I have picked up and been inside a couple times. It's set up kind of like a diner. It's not a huge place but enough space to serve a good amount of folks! The delivery is always on point and the food even better! Simple menu done right! Some of the best pancakes you can get. I have had just about every breakfast item on the menu and enjoyed every single bite! I've been here twice, the first was on a Monday morning, it was very empty and clean and the service was on point and the ladies were very kind. The second time I went during the busiest time of a Sunday morning. And yet despite all the busyness it was still very clean, everyone was super polite and the food was super delicious and flavorful! We came here a few weeks ago and I thought I posted about it with pictures but who knows what happened. We came in again today for breakfast and both times everything was perfect. We started with fresh piping hot coffee. I ordered a western omelette with home fries and my boyfriend got eggs, sausage, and home fries. You are asked if you want buttered toast or not. I like this because usually the butter is cold and unspreadable. Both meals came out hot and were delicious. The service is so friendly I can see why people come back again and again. Ordered a meal that came with a bagel and gave it to our son to eat. They then charged us for a separate bagel and never gave us the bagel that came with our meal. On top of that the bagel came with a little tiny thing of cream cheese and they charged us an additional $1 for another tiny cream cheese that still didn't even cover the bagel. Always looking for good Sunday brunch spots, and the jury is still out on this one! Place was pretty busy Sunday morning, but the staffing shortages really affected service. We waited several minutes to be greeted, and several more to be sat. The place had an overall charm with bar top seating to accommodate single diners. Once seated, our server quickly arrived and was quite pleasant. There was a particularly gruff waitress who was very vocal in complaining about things audibly for patrons to hear - unprofessional! I will say that their coffee is delicious, but $3 for a small refillable mug that only saw one half refill is a bit ridiculous. We ordered pancakes, and a was disappointed immediately with the rubbery texture (my butter knife was struggling to slice one pancake alone, let alone the stack). Oddly my husband's granola pancakes didn't seem to be quite as tough. I guess I need to try this place again because it has to be good for it to be so busy... read more

Close to home but my first time going glad I stopped in they were pretty busy around the 10am hour ,, beef sausage yay!! Most places only have pork , corned beef hash was a nice healthy portion we had to take it home my server was great only one complaint my eggs my eggs the dern eggs ordered over medium for both dishes and only my order came over easy sent back only for one egg to be corrected and the other over well ,,, I will return and just order scrambled,, cute clean spot and it doesn't hurt to be a few min from the house read more

Always love checking out these smaller ma-n-pa restaurants and diners when I travel. And knowing that my wife and I would arrive in FLL @ 0545 on the redeye from SLC - and that we'd be starving - I made the effort to search out a cool little restaurant for breakfast. I found the Toasted Cafe there in Margate and we're both glad we did! I think we arrived there around 7:30 AM and the place already had some early risers chatting and eating. My wife and I were promptly seated and waited on by Joanne...who turned out to be a real hoot and a great waitress. I had a wonderful Eggs Benedict, and my wife had her usual French toast...and I thoroughly enjoyed the S&R brand coffee that Joanne served. Excellent portion size too. Joanne took care of us really well, answered all of our questions, and we enjoyed talking with her about the food, the restaurant, and the reason for our brief trip to Coral Springs. We jokingly said that we had "come all the way from Salt Lake City just to eat here at the Toasted Cafe"...but it kinda' was true in a way. But nevertheless, we had a wonderful eye-opening breakfast and we left satisfied. Again, a wonderful little restaurant that we were so happy to patronize on our trip to Florida last month. I recently moved to the southern end of Coconut Creek and found Toasted Cafe while driving through the parking lot last week. When I walked in, I was warmly greeted by Christina (whom I later going out was the owner) and my server Cathy. Cathy gave me a choice of tables and brought the menu for me. She asked me if if like coffee. I'm glad I said yes! I drink it black. It was so good, I had 3 cups! I decided on 2 blueberry pancakes with turkey sausage, with a large glass of orange juice. The pancakes were light and delicious, and filling. I wouldn't have been able to finish 3. My only negative would be for the fifty cents per pancake add on for blueberries that there should have been more in them. The turkey sausage was perfectly prepared, thick and juicy, spiced just right. Everyone there is friendly and it looked like they have a lot of regulars. I may well become one of them! Located on the south side of Atlantic blvd just about two blocks east of 441. I Came here on a Sunday around 12:30pm with 7 of my family members. My cousin called on the way there (about 10 mins out) to let them know we were coming and they had a table waiting for us. The establishment has a homey feel and probably about 20 tables. I had my go to black coffee as did a couple of my family members. Hot, fresh, and strong. A cup of straight black coffee can tell you a lot about a breakfast joint. All seven of us ordered something different which means my fork makes it way around the table. The best plate was the Philly cheesesteak omelet.. it legit had the taste of a scrumptious philly! I ordered the #7 country breakfast.. biscuits, sausage smothered in gravy and topped with two eggs. It was just okay.. the gravy left a lot to be desired. The biscuit was good and you can't go wrong with eggs.. it's hard to mess those up. Overall it wasn't wow breakfast but it wasn't terrible. Food was very good (poached eggs drained of water - important) and came out pretty quick even though it was busy on a Saturday morning. Server apologized for food not coming out right away but apology was not needed as it was still quick. Coffee got refilled a couple times by different servers (even declined once) which was great since I can't stand not getting at least a second cup with breakfast. read more
