The restaurant had a fair amount of diners; but we only had to wait 2-3 minutes before being seated. Our server approached us quickly and we actually had to suggest they come back so we'd have time to look over the menu. I decided on the Hunter & Gatherer bowl which consisted of some greens, chickpeas, farro and grilled chicken with a honey mustard vinaigrette. It was a huge portion and quite good. My mom had the omelette which was cooked to perfection and came with 2 slices of multigrain toast. Everything was yummy and the service was fast. If you are looking for a loud restaurant with bad parking and horrible service. Maple and Cream is the place for you. Eating at Maple and Cream is an auditory nightmare. The interior is all hard surfaces...so it's loud. I'd recommend brining a bullhorn or a portable mic and speaker with you. Our waitress could not hear us. Try tablecloths or some tapestries on the walls, Maple and Cream management...anything to absorb some sound. Not that our waitress was around that much to hear us scream our order at the top of our lungs. This was an insult, as a 20 percent gratuity was automatically added to our check. The waitress did not deserve a 20 percent tip. She did not even serve 5 percent. And the parking is non existent. I had to park in a garage and walk down a roadway with no sidewalks to get to the place after dropping my wife and daughter off. Great food. Parking is free and surrounds 3/4 of the restaurant. We were told it was a 20 min wait to be seated. Lucky us, it was only 10 minutes. The restaurant was clean and had a "play" area with checkers and tic tac toe. As an appetizer, we shared the cheddar scones and loved them. For my drink, I just had to get the Ferrerro Rocher Latte, which was hazelnut praline flavor with a candied hazelnut rim and an actual Ferrerro Rocher chocolate on the side. This was comforting, warm and creamy, with strong hazelnut taste. The hazelnut rim added to the richness of the coffee. The appetizer that guaranteed that I'll be back is their Leek-Mushroom Croquetas. Talk about flavor town! The combination of crispy exterior with soft fluffy interior was mind blowing. Mom ordered a hot matcha latte while I ordered a hot chai. The matcha was bright, light, & airy while the chai felt like a warm hug. My mom decided to be adventurous & try their burrata burger with arugula & pesto. The burger patty is a great size & cooked to order. I tried their Omelette Basqaise, which is a manchego cheese omelette with a sweet pepper onion & tomato sauce. My family and I went to the establishment at the last minute for brunch on a Sunday afternoon and we were seated within 15 minutes. Judging by the crowd that was there, I could tell it was a hidden gem. The ambiance was nice and the seating was spacious. The food didn't take long at all to start coming out. With their seasonal menús for food and drinks, exceptional service from the staff and all the holiday decorations. I have tried a good portion of their breakfast options but i was excited for the holiday drinks but i couldn't try them all. Tried the carmel espresso and it was really good. The shrimp and grits were good and filling grits may have been a bit too grainy for my taste but the flavors were there. The chocolate chip pancakes was good as well with our without syrup. The good thing is that once you are notified of your table being available , you have a 15 minute grace period to claim it. They have a cute little holiday menu with drinks and dishes. Our server was named Evelyn. I don't think her service was 20% tip worthy. I don't like the tip policy. I don't think it should be automatic. FYI on the menu it states they charge automatic 20% for tip. My husband had to a find sugar. I think the server should tell you that the tip is included and when they give you the credit machine to pay there is an option to add more tip. I don't think they need that option if they are already charging a lot of tip. I think this is outrageous. The food was good but is nothing out of this world. For my food, I decided to get the Croissant Eggs Royale which was a croissant, goat cheese, smoked salmon and it was topped with two poached eggs and Hollandaise sauce, it was $19 dollars. While it was very good, it wasn't anything to write home about. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the sauce was very nice but it didn't have enough on it in my opinion. Mt wife got the sunrise skillet with scrambled eggs (which they charged extra $2 without telling us it was additional) and the shredded beef. When she got it, there was shrimp in the dish and no shredded beef. W had tk wave down a random girl working because our waiter was nowhere to be seen. Once we finally got the right dish, it was very tasty but that is a huge mistake if someone has a shellfish allergy. This place also has an automatic gratuity included and when I paid and was told that, the manager was hovering, looking as if he was expecting us to add more tip ontop of that automatic gratuity. I have to say I was pretty disappointed with my last visit. This is usually one of my favorite places for brunch and this time I just didn't enjoy it at all. All in all the food just tasted way too sweet and it almost seems like they pour sugar into everything now. I consistently ordered the daily grind meal several times in the past and you can see my past photos for how much the meal has changed over the years. For one, the bacon is now candied bacon, which I do not enjoy. I don't know if you can order the bacon how it used to come, but I did not ask because I didn't realize the bacon would be candied bacon. Also, you now get a biscuit instead of bread for the jam. The biscuit came very hard to the point, I could not eat the biscuit. I preferred the bread for sure. Also, the sausage is a different sausage. That's now jalapeño, and cheese infused as opposed to how it used to be once again I didn't ask because I thought the meal would be the same, but unfortunately it was not. I would definitely not order this meal and instead try something else on their gigantic menu. We also tried the chicken and waffles because so many people were ordering it, but I really didn't like that either. The chicken was a bit chewy and the pieces were not very large. It seemed like it was a lot more breading than actual chicken. The waffle was nice, but I wouldn't order this meal just for the waffle as it's chicken and waffles. I should've went with the breakfast skillet because that is probably their best dish but now I know that for next time. I do have to say on the bright side. I love their coffee and it's always very consistent and delicious whether you order a latte, an American cup of coffee, espresso, it's all really good. When we arrived, the host was friendly and asked if we wanted to sit indoors or outdoors. We chose to sit outside on the small patio. We ordered an appetizer and two entrées. My son ordered the chicken and waffles, which were just okay with a decent portion size but nothing special. I ordered the shrimp and grits, which was not what was featured on the menu. The poached eggs were full of water, the grits were plain and not cheesy as stated on the menu, and the shrimp were very salty, though they had decent flavor. However, the Cajun sauce was replaced with tomato sauce. I did not realize this at the time and thought it was odd, but I felt somewhat pressured to eat since closing time was approaching. They never offered to refill our water, and the bill included an automatic 20 percent gratuity, which feels unethical, as someone with my experience may have wanted to tip less. If the company wants to better support their staff they should consider paying better wages. Although customary, tips are not legally mandatory. Being able to adjust the tip based on my experience is the core purpose of tipping. It is very rare I tip below the 20-25%, however in this such case it should have been to my discretion. Further, this could be part of the problem, as tipping promotes quality control and better service. The missing Cajun sauce is a big deal, as it gives the dish its classic name. Whether it was the server or the chef, someone knew it was not the correct sauce. We spent a total of $72 for one appetizer and two breakfast meals, with only water to drink. We are always looking for new brunch places, so we checked Maple and Cream out on the advice of friends. First of all, it's a very nice welcoming place with a specious dining room. I don't like it when people are stacked on top of each other, and you have to listen to the conversation in the next booth!! This is roomy, quiet and comfortable. Service was friendly and efficient. I visited Maple and Cream this morning and ordered shrimp and grits with coffee and a biscuit. The grits and sauce were excellent, but unfortunately every shrimp tasted distinctly of ammonia. The biscuit was also a bit harder than I would have expected. When I brought this to my server Rodrigo who was genuinely helpful and respectful, he immediately encouraged me to speak with the manager. George came over and apologized, but instead of simply offering to remake the dish or remove it from the bill, he spent the conversation offering explanations for why I might have tasted ammonia rather than taking accountability. Although I pointed out the discrepancy and George said it would be handled, I found myself not wanting to argue anymore or make a fuss about having to pay for that entire meal and I did! I'm not seeking anything free, but I also shouldn't pay for food that isn't edible. I hope this was an isolated incident with how that particular situation was handled, because the quality of the grits and Rodrigo's service suggest Maple and Cream has real potential. read more

Loved this place! If I lived close by, this would be my breakfast spot! I loved their coffee, OJ, and croissant French toast! Everything was fresh and delicious. They gave a spacious interior, and a cute, outdoor patio. I would highly recommend this spot for breakfast! read more
