I found this place on Yelp over a month before my visit from NY. Glad I did. Kristof's is located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. We were greeted immediately when we entered and were taken to a booth. It was just after 8am and it was already quite busy in there. The place was cute with wooden signs and homey decor. This is a small cafe and the place was very packed. It was around 11am, so no surprise. In the same plaza as the Publix, just further down to the right before Lucky Star and Wing Stop. Our server Michele took care of us. The service was fast and attentive, despite the place getting busy. We even had someone else ask if we needed more refill for our coffees. I opted for their refreshing tuna salad sandwich with their yummy artichoke soup (it was their soup of the day -- on a Wednesday.) The cole slaw that came with the sandwich was just ok. Not a fan of having an extra mayo based dish, but maybe because I was already too full. Kind of wanted fries, but next time! My mother enjoyed her blt sandwich and got the small Kristoff's salad, which seemed not so small and plenty leftover. She also went for the coleslaw. Came here for casual breakfast since I wanted to go to early movie theater which is really close to here . And let me tell you ; my gosh is this place good, first of all it was packed - which is always a good sign - but everything we had was really amazing . Wife has the avocado toast , which was great , and I had the egg Benedict with brisket which was also phenomenal ; perfectly poached eggs. Kristof's Kafe is a Davie breakfast staple! If you're coming on the weekend it's good to come early because there will be a wait if you come around brunch time. The menu has something for EVERYONE! I've only been here for breakfast, but now that I see a lunch menu that looks good too. But for breakfast I like to get something savory and my boo will get a pancake or waffle and it's always good. Your coffee will stay hot as they have staff making sure to top off your coffee. This was my second time at Kristof's Kafe and it is now officially my go to breakfast spot. There is something for everyone on the menu along with some really unique breakfast combination. I also really enjoy that. There is a rotating specialty menu that changes every weekend. Today I had the brisket and egg sandwich with hashbrowns and the blueberry cornmeal waffles. To say the least they did not disappoint. Aside from the delicious food there is a cozy ambience and great service. The waitress, Michelle, was very helpful in giving good recommendations because there is so much to choose from. As with any good breakfast spot in South Florida, you can expect a bit of a wait. Local family owned and operated restaurant in Davie. We went on a Sunday around 10 and had our name on the list and 10 minutes later we were seated. The menu is unique and if you like Benedict's, biscuits or fancy waffles and pancakes this is the place. The owner is the chef and they run a great operation. Several people were serving us and we were well taken care of. I had the egg white supreme omelette and my partner had the biscuits and gravy. There were many other dishes on the menu I would loved to take a "bite" of if I was allowed. We enjoyed it and will return - with some bigger eaters so we can share some of the goodies. We came here to meet my wife's relative and she picked this place to meet. It's her favorite and wanted to share the goodness. We had coffee and tea for starters and for my meal I had the eggs Benedict for which they have like 5 versions of. It came with hash browns . Wife had a bowl of chicken noodle soup and she enjoyed it. They make all their foods and soups on site. Our waitress was great and did a great job. I was very impressed by how quickly we were sat and given food, considering they were extremely busy on a Sunday. Everything came out great and the chicken and waffles had a spicy syrup that was amazing. Normally places in a plaza are a little hit or miss, but I could tell when I walked in and it was that crowded it must have been for a reason. The ambiance is pretty much what you would expect. Went here for Sunday brunch and had a pleasant experience! I went later during brunch around 12:30pm not expecting it to be too crowded but I was dead wrong. It was a full house and had a waiting list for seats. Since it was just me, I only waited a few minutes until a seat at the counter opened up. For my main meal, I order the shrimp and grits. They were able to accommodate a gluten allergy by substituting the toast for gluten free toast which is always awesome to see! The shrimp and grits were HEAVY. They come out in a big bowl that could easily be shared between two people. The grits were yummy and the shrimp was well seasoned. It was a good meal. Next time though, I will get the breakfast sandwich since it's confirmed they have gluten free bread. It is such a fun atmosphere. I've had only positive experiences here over the years and highly recommend Kristof's. It's a cute little diner with plenty of seating and is very clean. Servers are always sweet, friendly and down to earth. Honestly, you can't go wrong no matter what you order. My favorites are their breakfast platters, Belgian waffles, hot chocolate, Bellinis, Reuben sandwich, and Asian salad (w/chicken or salmon). 5 STAR BREAKFAST SPOT... My brother calls me today and asks me to breakfast at Kristof's Kafe, which of course I accepted his invitation for food. The restaurant is in the Pine Island Shopping Plaza and I have never tried this eatery. I got there early on Sunday morning and they had one table available inside. They also wont sit you until all parties are present. Well my brother was parking so the host was hesitant to seat me but I pointed to his car pulling in. Now at my two seater table, which is tightly positioned next to another table. Behind me was a small counter with a television affixed to the wall. The waitress was friendly. We ordered the omelete with potatoes and bisquit insanely well priced at $10.00. The food arrived in less than ten minutes. The omelete was perfectly cooked and I put maple syrup on my bisquit which was fluffy and delish. They do add 2.5% to your bill for credit card use which is getting common. The bathroom had a cool golf theme and was very clean. As we left, the line outside was fifteen people deep. Good food at a great price no wonder why its a busy place. read more

Had a delicious breakfast here this week. Everything we had here was great. I got the country fried steak and eggs, my gf got the shrimp and grits, and we got my daughter the strawberry stuffed French toast. We also got a side of corned beef hash and a side of bacon. The Strawberry French toast was definitely the best thing we got. Make sure to get a side of Nutella with it. The Corned Beef hash was also amazing. I would probably get that as my entree next time. Service was quick and kind. Ambiance was bustling; definitely a local favorite. I don't believe they take reservations, so be prepared to wait on a weekend. We were told 30mins but it ended up being closer to 10mins. I got a cookie butter iced coffee (with coffee ice cubes) which was good but nothing crazy and my friend got the fresh orange juice. Now the food...the food was something else. My friend got the eggs benedict, i got the cowboy scramble, and we shared the blueberry lemon ricotta waffle. Everything was 5/5. The benedict was one of the best i've ever had. I'm not a huge egg fan but my scramble with delicious. Ive heard good things about Kristoff's cafe. It's a very popular spot and on my visit I saw many people waiting outside waiting for a table to become available. I myself am not the biggest breakfast or diner person. I thought their food was good - not amazing but fine good. It's a casual breakfast spot but boy does it pull people in. We came as a walk-in without prior reservations for about 45min to be seated. I think they could use more servers as it was hard to get attention when we needed things like sauce or cutlery. My newest obsession in Broward!! The multigrain pancakes were out of this world and I've been craving more ever since! Especially with their pecan butter, which doesn't come with it, so be sure to order some separately! I don't even usually like pecan flavored stuff or anything other than plain butter and sugar free syrup on my pancakes, but the combo on the multigrain pancakes is just perfect! It's almost a cinnamon caramel flavor without all of the sugar and not too sweet all - plus no need for any syrup at all! The cookies and cream waffle is good but very sweet. It's filled with oreo cookies and comes with pecan butter on the side. I used the pecan butter on the multigrain pancakes. although it was yummy and worth a try, with how tasty the rest of the menu looked, I wouldn't bother with it again. A side of biscuit and gravy is almost always a must when I eat breakfast out, so no different here. My husband loved it but all I tasted was lard and despite looking soft, the biscuit was actually grilled too much so that it was quite crispy. I would personally pass on it next time. As for the restaurant itself, it was packed the entire time we were there and for good reason! The menu selection looked incredible and the service was both attentive and friendly (not something often found in Broward County). We were greeted by our waiter pretty much immediately after we sat down. He made a few recommendations. We ordered the banana bread right away and it was fabulous. I meant to order some to take home and I forgot. For brunch, we had the biscuits and gravy, Kristof's croissant, 2 egg breakfast and egg white ultimate omelette. The sourdough toast was perfectly toasted and both the hashbrowns and potatoes left nothing to be desired. Some iced coffee and orange juice rounded out the meal. I went with the chocolate chip waffle with pure maple syrup. The waffle also comes with pecan butter. The waffle was still steaming hot, so I knew it was fresh. The restaurant itself had plenty of seating, with simple decor on the walls. I went early on a Friday, and there were a few groups of older folks enjoying breakfast. They seemed like regulars. Went here for breakfast and when they say you can't judge a book by it's cover nothing could be more true. When you park you see a shopping plaza and think it will be a small local place. Just another breakfast joint. You might be surprised that you have to put your name on a list and might have a 45 minute wait. But it's definitely worth the wait! The food is delicious, it's reasonable with massive portions and they have an excellent seasonal menu. One of my favorite breakfast places, I try to go during the week cause the weekends get crazy busy! Even this morning on a Tuesday it was almost packed. Anyway we check out some of the specials on their chalkboard outside before entering and being seated right away. Our server got our drinks orders and we both got their special brown sugar cinnamon cold brew which were delicious! The whip cream they use is super yummy and just sweet enough to give the cold brew a little hint of flavor. Can't forget about their coffee ice cubes so even when you're down to just ice left, just give it some time and you've got yourself a refill! My boyfriend always gets the same, the not-so Benedict & I tried their brisket & bacon jam sandwich which was amazing but definitely shareable, it was massive and came with a side, I got hashbrowns. We shared the banana caramel French toast, totally overdoing it but not complaining about it, the French toast was worth it! Took half of the sandwich & French toast Togo for some nice lunch later on. The waitress accidentally added something I didn't order onto the check but it was an easy fix.
