Lunch menu

First visit to Kaluz for an office lunch. The dining room is very modern and inviting. Our server, Nicholai, was very friendly and answered questions for the table. The lunch menu is pretty decent with several options at mixed price points to choose from. I was torn between the Thai Noodle Salad and the Fish sandwich. Unfortunately, I went with the latter. While the fish was fresh, it could've been bolstered with more flavor. It also was way too flaky, and the bun got soggy very fast. The sandwich fall apart after the first time picking it up. My coworker next to me got the Thai salad and it looked quite beautiful. He said it was delicious and fresh. If I come here again, I will definitely go with the salad. Some coworkers also got the brussels sprouts appetizer, but unfortunately it has bacon so I did not try a taste. I will say the shrimp escargot looked really good, and those who tried it, were really in love with it. I've never seen shrimp escargot on a menu, and I thought that was a pretty unique item. Overall, while I wasn't a fan of my dish, I would give this place another try but will order differently.

Wonderful food and attentive service makes Kaluz a destination for people who expect a higher level of quality.

We all had a great time here I was here with friends and we all loved the restaurant and the atmosphere. We all met by the bar. I think we all ended up trying the lychee martini. It was recommended by the bartender and it was good. We started with the grilled octopus and it was delicious. I loved it. I would order it again. It was my favorite thing. The bar service was great and friendly. This was a beautiful restaurant inside and out. The crowd was a little older but it was a nice place. I ended up ordering the crab crusted fish. It was a recomendations and it was good. I was happy with it. We had an excellent meal. Our waiter was amazing he checked on us. He kept us happy.

living in plantation, we don't have many higher end restaurants so Kaluz is always a great option. The ambience is so pretty inside and I love that they have a decorated tree in indoors. this time I only came in for some cocktails and some fries to pick on and I might've had a little dessert as well, and of course they were yummy but the food here is also made to perfection. if you're ever in plantation and looking for a high-end meal, this is your place.

Tuna tartare

Date night, actually we decided to celebrate Valentine's 2 days early. It was a while we had driven past Kaluz and wondered. Well it was a lovely experience. The decor and ambience very upscale. Love the high ceilings and water features, open kitchen. We decided to have a selection of starters. The ones we loved most were the calamari and the octopus, but the tuna tartare was lovely too. Our old fashion was top. Very well crafted. Check the photos. Service attentive. Happy to see reasonable prices versus what we are used to in Miami. I highly recommend.

This is an upscale American restaurant and bar that has several locations in Broward county and one in Wellington, FL. We went to their Plantantion location and almost missed it because there is a tree that covers the restaurant's name. Plenty of onsite parking, very stylist modern atmosphere but made cozy with the touches of wood everywhere. Food was really tasty and was delivered promptly by a friendly server. Portion are nice sized so if you want, you could easily share a plate and order more appetizers. We had their caramelizes pear and prosciutto flatbread with a drizzle of vinegar reduction that was really good! We also tried the shrimp cargot that was amazing. Shrimp were a bit overcooked but super super delicious and full of flavor. The baguette with the havarti cheese and butter? YUM!! We split a chicken Caesar salad that was good. And finished off with their bread pudding that had dried cranberries, Grand Marnier and vanilla custard. You will not be disappointed with the different choices and the quality (and portions) of their dishes.

I haven't been to this location, but I have been to the one in Ft Lauderdale. It has been a very long time. Boy have i been missing out. Everything was very well prepared. The waitress Valentine was so sweet and always showed up right on time. We all were so full on the appetizers we took our meal home. And even ordered dessert to go, I really like the bread pudding. Can't wait to go back

Great looking restaurant and ambiance - dimmed lights, water feature in the middle of the main dinning hall. Food was very good and served timely - appetizers came out very quick. Service was amazing A our waiter was very attentive and friendly. Will visit again.

Bar Review Only: I Check out Kaluz on a recommendation. I did not have dinner and sat at the bar for drinks only. It's a very nice location with an upscale vibe. It has a great bar area with plenty of seating. The bar staff were all great and very attentive. They offer a nice selection of craft cocktails and other drinks. I started with a Lychee Martini. I loved it. It was perfect. My only disappointment was when I ordered a second drink and ask to upgrade the tequila on a margarita. They do not offer any clean, non preservative options. I was surprised. I hope to be back and check them out for dinner.

I came with my British group for a lunch stop. The decor was pleasant, open plan, with plenty of natural light. The service was efficient and decent. I tried their lamb burger. It was cooked perfectly to medium as per my request. It was an open burger, ie you saw what you got! Everyone enjoyed their food.

# Kaluz Restaurant Review *Ambience: 5/5* Beautiful and modern decor creates a sophisticated atmosphere. *Parking: 4/5* Minimal parking, but valet service is available. *Service: 5/5* Exceptional service from knowledgeable and friendly staff. *Food: 4.5/5* Delicious dishes, impressive presentation: - Shrimp cargoes (similar to escargot) - Pineapple and pomegranate martinis - Calamari - Salads - Chicken *Areas for Improvement* - Seabass was overly salty - Banana cake was too spongy *Overall Experience: 4.5/5* Minor flaws aside, Kaluz offers an outstanding dining experience. *Recommendation* Definitely worth visiting; will return. *Rating: 4.5/5 stars*

The first thing I noticed was there is not a lot of parking so you might have to valet. We got lucky and found a spot as someone was leaving. As soon as you walk in you are greeted and you can see the chefs cooking through the glass windows. We had reservations, so we sat quickly. Our waitress was nice and knew about the menu and how some food was prepared, which was helpful as someone in our party has a shellfish allergy and another has a Nutella allergy. The menu is not that big. We orders the steak meatballs, which was tasty as well as the calamari and the Brussel sprouts. The Brussel sprouts were so good! We then ordered lab burger, the ribs, and the porkchops. I asked for the apple cinnamon sauce on the porkchops to be put on the side and it wasn't. My Parmesan mashed potatoes were cold and I waited 20 minutes to get a proper knife to cut the pork chops. Our waitress wasn't as attentive once we received our food but it could have been because the restaurant was very busy. We then ordered the salted caramel brownie and the going bananas dessert and both were tasty. The going banana had the right amount flavor and we were able to taste the shaved coconut without it being overbearing. The restaurant has dim lighting perfect for a date night, nice decor, and seeing the chefs cook and prepare the food adds a nice touch to the experience.

Sidecar Speakeasy was the play... The speakeasy entrance was hidden in a hallway you can walk right by without even noticing. I dig it. Once inside, it's dark. Most of the light is coming from the light showcasing the bottles in the bar. The seating is a little tight as they're trying to maximize space for such a small area. We visited here twice during my visit: We sat at a table and a bar. You have the perfect amount of space for your party, but you're pretty close to the next table or bar seat. No claustrophobic vibes though. All the mixologists were great during both visits. One visit, we ordered their signature cocktails from the menu. When we sat at the bar, we had the mixologist surprise with a cocktail off the menu. He just asked what kind of liquor vibe we wanted, and he took it from there. He was super creative with every cocktail which made for a great time. They stayed upon until midnight one one visit and until 1 am on the other one. Both my visits were on a weekday. The sidecar speakeasy is easily my favorite bar in Fort Lauderdale and I have a feeling I'll be back. Enjoy!

I can confidently say they delivered on one of those things, the experience. Unfortunately, the food felt like a failed attempt to escape... an escape room. Let's start with what absolutely works. The location is stunning. Truly breathtaking. The views are spectacular, the atmosphere is elegant, and the setting makes you feel like you have unlocked a premium level of Fort Lauderdale nightlife. The service is upscale and unhurried. No one rushes you, no one pressures you, and you are encouraged to linger and enjoy the moment. From a vibe perspective, you are winning. The drink menu is limited, but what they offer is top notch. Well crafted, balanced, and enjoyable. Think of the drinks as the first puzzle you solve successfully. Confidence is high at this point. Then the food arrives, and this is where the escape attempt starts to fall apart. We began with the bruschetta, which was absolutely dominated by balsamic. Not gently accented. Not thoughtfully drizzled. This was a full-scale balsamic ambush that completely overwhelmed the dish. Puzzle one failed. Next came the octopus. Perfectly cooked. Tender. Juicy. Textbook execution. Unfortunately, the flavor was nowhere to be found. Every bite was completely hijacked by the beans in the dish, leaving the octopus feeling like a background prop in its own plate. Puzzle two failed, morale dropping. Then came the calamari and mussels. Once again, the seafood was cooked properly, but flavor had clearly escaped through a hidden exit. Bland, forgettable, and confusing in how something prepared this well could taste like so little. Puzzle three failed, clock ticking. The fourth dish was the caprese salad, which somehow managed to swing in the opposite direction of the bruschetta. The tomatoes tasted like they were fresh from a grocery store shelf. The balsamic barely showed up this time, as if it had used up all its energy earlier. The mozzarella sat there watery and bland, contributing nothing and offering no clues. Final puzzle failed. Escape attempt unsuccessful. By the end of the meal, I felt like I had just spent two hours in an escape room where everything looked incredible, the staff was friendly, the room design was flawless, but none of the puzzles worked and you never actually escaped. Overall, Escape Rooftop Bar delivers breathtaking views, excellent service, and strong drinks. But the food turns the entire experience into a beautifully designed trap. When expectations are sky high and the kitchen cannot deliver, the disappointment hits harder. Two stars, awarded for the scenery, the cocktails, and the hope that one day the food finds the exit.
